Biography of Anton Shastun
Anton's birthplace is the city of Voronezh. Since school days, this guy has surprised with his jokes, talent and positive attitude. After school, he entered the VGAU (Faculty of Economics and Management), but Anton did not begin to work in his specialty, he preferred a creative path. But thanks to the university, Anton fully revealed his talents as a comedian, speaking in the university KVN team. And after that, he was chosen as the captain of the "BV" team, which participated in the "Start" league. As a result, Anton led his team to victory.
Path to glory
One day Anton Shastun decides to try his luck in the capital, where he repeatedly tried to get into comedy club, but Anton could not reach the final. After an unsuccessful attempt in Moscow, Shastun returns to Voronezh, where he continues to perform in the stand-up genre. He also continued to participate in the improvisation project - “Controversial Issue”, which he created together with other guys. The first love of Anton was the girl Nastya. At that time, he was in elementary school and, like many children, believed that these feelings would be the first and last in his life. While in a pioneer camp, he met Nastya, but feelings of embarrassment left them at a distance. It is hard to say. It seems to me because I look younger than everyone. And just younger and fresher than those three old men. But seriously, I don't know. Somehow it happened. I didn't do anything specifically for this. Maybe it really is because of the age. After all, the audience of such social networks as Instagram and VKontakte are young and very young people. So we decided that it’s better to subscribe to a guy who feels like he’s always 18.
If you hadn't become a comedian, what would you be?
I probably wouldn't be able to work in an office. Sedentary work is definitely not for me. My diploma says "manager". But I would make a very bad manager. I like performing in front of people. Perhaps I would try myself not in humor. And I also like football. I love this sport. I would love to be a footballer. But as the coach told me at the first and last practice in my life: "Football is too fast for you."
Who is the funniest person in Russia right now? In the world?
It's hard to single out just one. There are many people who can be equal in humor: Pavel Volya, Garik Martirosyan, Ivan Urgant, Ruslan Bely. Two more people stand apart for me - these are Misha Galustyan and Garik Kharlamov. It is difficult for me to adequately evaluate them, because everything that they do is funny to me. As for the whole world, I have always had one idol. This is Jim Carrey. He is the funniest!
The secret of success with girls?
There is no secret. Moreover, I do not think that I enjoy some incredible success with the opposite sex. Sometimes someone writes something, someone says something. But no more than my colleagues, for example.
Our funniest editor is also from Voronezh. Why does Voronezh give the world funny people?
This is what I don't know. And I'm surprised by this too. Maybe because Voronezh is a very student city. We have many universities, and they also love humor very much. There are two official KVN leagues in our city. At the same time, for a long time there were few comedians from Voronezh who became widely known. Yulia Akhmedova and Ruslan Bely were the first. And then somehow it broke. Now a lot of people from Voronezh not only perform on stage, but also work behind the scenes. Including over the project "Improvisation".
What's the hardest part about coming up with jokes?
For me, as a participant in the Improvisation show, the main thing is to have time to come up with and tell a joke before my partner suggests something new and it's too late. If we talk about pre-made humor, then for me and my colleagues, the most difficult thing has always been to come up with the idea of a miniature. Or Stand Up, for example. This took a huge amount of time. And when the idea is thought up, and it is good, then the jokes will be written in it quickly and easily.
Who do you test jokes on?
We test our jokes on the audience who came to our concert or filming. This is the beauty of such a genre as improvisation. There are no "material checks" or "edits". You are standing on stage in front of a crowd of people, your partner has said something to you, and you need to make a joke. Right here and now. You joke and get an instant reaction, appreciation for your joke. Funny - well done! Not funny - move on!

First steps to success
Having received a diploma, Anton did not want to work by profession, but went to the capital to be cast in the top Comedy Club project. The first pancake turned out to be lumpy, the footage never got into the live entertainment show. A month later, Shastun nevertheless became a member of the Comedy Battle comedy show. The talented guy shone in the 20th episode of the first season, where the judges were: S. Slepakov, S. Svetlakov, G. Martirosyan.

Anton Shastun says that the complexity of this genre lies in the fact that the artist does not have the opportunity to rehearse the scene in advance, since the main idea of improvisation lies in the feedback from the audience.
In February 2016, a new program "Improvisation" was launched on the TNT channel as part of the Comedy Club multidisciplinary production company. Anton Shastun, along with colleagues on the "Controversial Issue" and Stas Sheminov, was invited to become the stars of this show.

But the show was still preceded by a grandiose preparation. Participants conducted test performances in clubs, with a live audience, where jokes, formats and stories were tested. The transmission is divided into a number of sections-headings, which have specified parameters. For example, numbers regularly appear in Improvisation, where the comedian repeats the text after the prompter, gives interviews on behalf of the star, or walks around the room blindfolded. There are also extreme numbers in the show, for example, a rubric in which participants receive electric shocks by pronouncing a certain letter. During one such number, Anton even fell and injured his hand.
The element of surprise in the show is also brought by the partners of the comedians - the stars of show business, who say and do what they want and what they see fit. According to the authors of the show, sometimes after filming, some stars ask to cut out unfunny or stupid moments, but the Improvisation film crew does not agree to such proposals.
