Sochi Olympic champions in ice dancing in the team event Ekaterina Bobrova and Dmitry Solovyov made their debut this year in the play "Romeo and Juliet". A whole constellation of eminent figure skaters is also in the cast: Maria Petrova and Alexei Tikhonov, Yana Khokhlova and Maxim Shabalin, Kristina Astakhova and Andrei Deputat, Vakhtang Murvanidze, Evgeny Kuznetsov, Anastasia Ignatieva and others. In total, more than 150 participants will come to Krasnoyarsk as part of a creative and technical group project.
"Romeo and Juliet" is the highest level of figure skating and great music, as well as unique scenography and modern special effects. Set designer from London Nina Kobiashvili has created an unusual conceptual solution for Shakespeare's legendary story. She was inspired by the art of William Turner, in particular his Scottish and Italian landscapes, biblical motifs and baroque music. The scenography combines the two worlds of medieval Britain and Italy, in addition, a combination of historical and modern elements plays an important role, for example, a neon sign of the theater, a luminous poster, etc. The outstanding scenography of the performance is a new word in the history of reading Shakespearean drama. The design of the backdrop of the stage is close to the interior of Shakespeare's Globe Theater in London, as well as elements of the pier on Lake Garda in Verona. Juliet's house was created as an analogue of the architecture of Melrose Abbey in Scotland. Stained glass windows are rather a symbol of a Gothic temple, but at the same time they also read like elements of a Renaissance residential building.
The skaters were trained by professional fencers, choreographers and acting teachers. The costumes of stunning beauty were created by a whole team of artists - more than 400 costumes were sewn in total. The production uses works by Sergei Prokofiev, Mozart, Bach, Mendelssohn and original music created by the leading composer of Russian musicals Roman Ignatiev. Musical parts are performed by stars of Russian cinema, theater and musicals. The ice performance "Romeo and Juliet" was first shown in Russia in July 2017, and in 2 years it has already been watched by over 1 million people, thus it has become the most successful in the history of Russian ice shows. "Romeo and Juliet" was also the first Russian ice performance, which was shown at one of the most famous venues in Europe - the Italian Arena di Verona. On October 6, 2018, it closed the theater season at the Arena di Verona and became one of the main events of the Russian Seasons in Italy festival.

The couple decided to get married, but then everything went wrong. The lawyer is sent to an elderly earl who wants to register real estate in London and a series of mystical, sad events begins.
Experienced and recognized Russian figure skaters will take part in this New Year's show on ice. Many of them have the title of master of sports in figure skating, and solo parts are performed only by world and Russian champions. The show impresses not only with the plot, but also with the tricks and technique of performing all the numbers. Separately, it is worth mentioning the beautiful costumes, sonorous music and first-class acting on the ice.
"Nutcracker"
If you want to look at the famous and very popular Russian figure skater Evgeni Plushenko, then he is the director and actor of the new Nutcracker show. This New Year's fairy tale will be shown on ice, the premiere is scheduled for December 23 and the performance will run until the end of the year. The ice show is a creative duet of Plushenko and Yana Rudkovskaya; foreign directors also contributed to the creation of the performance.
