Pokemon cartoon characters. Pokémon characters: the most famous heroes of the series

15.04.2019

Despite the fact that anime about Pokemon appeared a very long time ago, they are still remembered and known. This cartoon was on TV ten years ago. But many computer games have been created on its basis. Pokemon characters continue to "live" now as game heroes, entertaining fans on various gadgets.

The most popular Pokemon - characters whose names and characteristics are given below - still compete in the fight for the sympathy of fans of cartoons and games with modern heroes of this genre.

pikachu

This Pokemon is the leader in popularity. This is a quick-witted, with a cheerful disposition, an electric mouse. He has the ability to launch electric charges, thus fighting off the enemy. Pikachu are not liked by Pokeballs, as they are afraid when they are in a tight space. These Pokémon get along well with Charmanders and Squirtle.

meowth

Also a very popular Pokemon. The list of characters of the "R" team to which he belongs is small. He helps Jesse and James to capture and re-educate them, although in reality it is more like tyranny and abuse. Meowth is a fan of fights, winning which gives him particular pleasure, as he is very ambitious. But in fierce battles, he often does not pay attention to important details and loses sight of them. That is why his team is in the losers. He is very mercantile, his passion for money sometimes goes beyond reasonableness. He can roam the street at night in search of coins lost by someone.

Slowpoke

His popularity was on the rise. At first he was not so famous, but now he is often chosen as characters. There are several Pokemon of this type. But unlike the others (for example, Ponita and Rapidash), he is so lazy that he does not even want to leave his place and move. He is very slow, one might even say, inhibited. It's not much use in combat. Even to understand that he was bitten, it takes him almost a minute. It evolves easily. It is enough to lower the tail into the water and wait until the Shelder bites it. Immediately after that, he moves to a new stage of evolution and turns into Slowbro. But even with this improved view, you also need to stock up on considerable patience.

Gaillardos

Pokemon characters can evolve from the smallest to the largest. That's what Gaillardos is. This monster with a snake body and a dragon's mouth evolves from a weak nondescript fish - Magikarp. It is also surprising that in the process of transformation, flying is also added to its water element. He is very strong, and his militancy sometimes goes beyond all boundaries. He is able to crush stones with his fins, and in anger he can cause a storm, storm or typhoon.

Mewtwo

It's hard enough to catch him. To do this, you need to make a lot more effort than when hunting other Pokémon. All game fans have heard about it, but far from everyone has met it. Mewtwo was created in the laboratory on the island, the event was the result of long experiments in the field of genetics.

The goal of the scientists was to create a universal living combat vehicle. That is why they created a new Pokémon. They named him Mew. But things didn't go the way scientists expected. He turned out to be almost uncontrollable, incredibly cruel and aggressive. The second generation Mewtwo becomes available for search only after winning the battle with the Strongest Four.

There are other Pokemon characters whose popularity is very high. This is Bulbosaurus, on the back of which a plant shoot grows throughout its life. And Charmonder, who has a fire burning at the tip of his tail. And Squirtle, capable of long-term water attacks, distinguished by accuracy and strength. And Vartotal, for example, has a long fluffy tail, which is a symbol of wisdom and longevity. Blastois does not have the speed of many other Pokémon, but its advantage lies in the power found in large water cannons that fire huge jets of water. The legendary Pokemon Articuno is also very popular, which can create snowstorms by turning moisture in the air into snow.

The cartoon "Pokemon", whose characters became the heroes of popular computer games, probably deserves to be watched. Bizarre creatures are both sympathetic and terrifying, and some combine both good and bad.

Pokemon - the popularity of these funny, touching and unusual creatures has not faded for 20 years. Under the bizarre name "Pokemon" hides an entire fictional universe created by insect collector and gamer Satoshi Tajiri. Pokémon are fantastic creatures endowed with unusual abilities, inhabiting an alternative reality to our modernity. There, Pokémon can live in the wild or be in the collection of a trainer - a person who collects and trains these creatures. Pokemon of different trainers compete with each other, gaining experience and skills. Over time, Pokémon evolve into a stronger form, and the trainer, who became famous for his victories, receives recognition and awards.

The Pokémon universe was embodied in video games, and then other projects. It is curious that the history of the franchise originates precisely from a passion for collecting, which would later become the slogan "Collect them all!". Pokémon (pokemon - "pocket monster") was born from Satoshi Tajiri's fantasies of how you could exchange and compete with your virtual pets. According to legend, this idea came to the developer when he saw a bug crawling along the wire between the Game Boy consoles.

The fantastic world of Pokemon is striking in its diversity

However, Satoshi Tajiri was not just a dreamer. He organized his own game development studio, and with the idea of Pokemon he came not just anywhere, but to Nintendo. By the way, The Pokemon Company is still owned by this corporation. Nintendo has been managing Pokemon Co JP quite well since 1996, when the world first heard about Pokemon. During this time, a huge number of computer and board games, games for consoles and smartphones, anime cartoons about Pokemon, comics and countless other products that exploit the universe of pocket monsters have been created.

At the moment, 721 types of Pokemon are known. However, each new generation of games expands their list. Despite periods of calm, Satoshi Tajiri's idea lives on to this day. In Russia, the word “pokemon” was first heard after the release of the anime “Pokemon” on television screens. The cartoon immediately attracted attention, so that in the early 2000s, the pokemon boom overtook both Russian viewers and gamers. After some time, the series was forgotten, but the new Pokemon Go game returned Pokemon to the top of the news.

Satoshi Tajiri is an insect collector, and it was from this hobby that the idea of \u200b\u200bcreating Pokemon came about.

TV series

"Pokemon" (Pokemon) is an anime created on the basis of computer games about the universe of Pokemon. The first Pokemon cartoon was released in 1997. At first, the audience of Japan fell in love with these extraordinary creatures, and then other 74 countries. It can be said without exaggeration that after the appearance of the Pokemon series, the whole world learned about who Pokemon were - all anime seasons were released on federal and numerous children's channels, and later became available on the Internet. The Pokemon cartoon includes over 900 episodes, but the production of new releases does not stop to this day. This is the main intrigue of Pokemon season 19, as the guys cannot determine its type. The mysterious Pokémon is considered legendary, and soon Team Flash tries to kidnap it. In later episodes of Pokemon XY Z, Ash saves a Pokemon from the hands of villains. During the battle, the Pokémon tactically retreats, splitting into three parts. Characters

- the main character throughout all seasons of Pokemon. The characters in the series tend to depend on Ash and his regional movements, so he is the central figure of the series. Ash is a ten-year-old boy who dreams of becoming the greatest Pokémon trainer. He is active and brave in battle, but kind and gentle towards his friends and Pokémon. Ash is hardworking, persistent and honest, he can be called an entirely positive character. Ash's best friend is the Pokemon Pikachu, with whom he does not part in any journey. Also among the friends of Ash in the animated series "Pokemon" are the characters Misty, Brock, May, Don, Iris, Serena, Cilan, Clemont and Bonnie.

misty- Ash's best friend, the leader of the Cerulin Stadium. He specializes in water pokemon and loves to talk about them. Can't stand ghost Pokémon and insects. Hot-tempered, but quick-tempered. He likes to put Brock in his place. She has a sisterly relationship with Ash, although in some episodes the audience saw sympathy between the characters, bordering on love. Ash had a hard time parting ways with Misty when they parted ways.

Brock- Ash's best friend, is the head of the stadium in Pewter. Brock is a romantic who pays a lot of attention to pretty girls from his environment. He especially likes Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy. Brock's Pokémon are of interest not only as combat units, but also as peculiar personalities. He argues about the importance of the connection between the trainer and the Pokémon. Brock travels with Ash until season 13, when he decides to become a Pokémon doctor.

Professor Oak- A respected scientist in the world of Pokemon. He gave Ash his first Pokémon and mentored the main character for many seasons of the series.

Harry Oak- The grandson of Professor Oak, one of Ash's main rivals. Harry always managed to be ahead of Ash, so the main character decided to beat Harry at all costs. He succeeded only in the Johto League.

Throughout the seasons, Ash confronts the main villains - Team Rocket.

- the main villains of the Pokemon series. Team Rocket Characters: Jessie, James and their Pokémon. Their goal is to catch as many rare Pokémon as possible. Usually they do it in a dishonest way, threatening the life and health of pocket monsters and all the people around them. They are especially eager to steal Ash's Pikachu. Usually, Team Rocket gets a decent rebuff, after which they comically go to hell. Jesse and James' boss is Giovanni, a former Pokémon trainer who turned to crime.

Music and songs about Pokemon

The music of "Pokemon" is largely borrowed from the games. The series' theme music was composed by Junichi Masuda and Shinji Miyazaki. According to Masuda, he wrote the music for Pokemon OST influenced by the themes from the films Ben-Hur and The Bridge on the River Kwai. He was also inspired by the work of Shostakovich, Stravinsky, Chopin and some electronic music performers.

The most famous pathetic song "Pokemon" Pokemon Theme Song. It is performed in many languages, including Russian. In the opening of Pokémon, it is sung from Ash's point of view that he wants to become the best trainer and collect all the Pokémon. And although there were different musical arrangements in different seasons, the song about Pokemon from the original series was remembered by the audience the most. Also very popular is a Pokemon song called PokeRAP, which lists all the Pokemon names. For those who want to listen to all the songs of "Pokemon" can be recommended to find collections of anime soundtracks that were released on CD. Lyrics of Song "Pokemon":

I want to be the very best,
Like no one ever was.
to catch them is my real test,
To train them is my cause.

I will travel across the land
Searching far and wide

The last game, thanks to the version of Pokemon Revolution Online, allowed you to change Pokemon over the Internet. Notable non-series games include Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team, Pokemon World Online, League 17: Pokemon, Pokemon TCG, Pokemon Tower Defense, Pokemon Showdown, Pokemon Tournament, Pokemon Planet, Pokemon Ash Gray and Pokemon Go mobile devices.

In the company of Pokemon, you can participate in battles in the games "Battle of Pokemon" and "Pokemon on the defense of the fortress." For those who are looking for a game about Pokemon for two, "Pokemon Battles" is usually advised.

Toys

An impressive amount of diverse gaming products have been created in the Pokémon universe. The most popular was Pokemon Cards - a collectible card game in which everyone can feel like a Pokemon trainer. Colorful Pokémon cards contain information about any Pokémon, its combat abilities and defense skills. This allows you to create real battles using the Pokémon TCG. In addition, those who like Pokémon, toys and anime about them will definitely appreciate the collectible figures, Poké Balls, stadium icons and Pokémon coloring pages.

Comics and manga

There are several comic and manga series based on the Pokémon games and anime. The Pokemon Pocket Monsters manga, released in 1997, has become a favorite among Pokemon fans. The plot of the comics duplicates the plot of the series, but liberties and some differences are allowed. In addition, in the Pokémon manga, the names of the heroes are changed, for example, Ash's name is Red there. In general, Pokemon comics are made with humor, but the presence of cruelty is noted in comparison with other projects. Interestingly, Satoshi Tajiri himself once said that he liked the Pokemon Adventures manga series more than the anime series. According to the creator of Pokemon, the comics convey the essence of the Pokemon universe better than the series.

Criticism and public perception

The Pokémon anime is known in more than 75 countries and has incredibly high TV ratings. So, for example, the first full-length film about Pokemon "Mewtwo vs. Mew" is recognized as the highest-grossing medium of all anime films in the history of cinema. Anything that's overly popular always elicits opposite responses, so Pokemon certainly has its fans and harsh critics.

During its existence, products based on the Pokémon universe have received a huge amount of critical feedback. The fanatical fascination of players and spectators with Pokemon could not but cause a public response. As always, there were people who considered such enthusiasm dangerous. In particular, it is widely believed that cartoons and games about Pokemon have a negative impact on the physical and mental state of a person. As an argument, a case of a mass epileptic seizure that occurred after the TV show of episode 38 of season 1 of the anime “Pokemon” is given. After watching the episode, 685 young viewers suffering from photosensitive epilepsy were hospitalized. It is believed that the attack was caused by a flickering screen light.

Due to the "danger to the health of children", the series is officially banned in a number of countries. So, the Ministry of Health of Turkey spoke out about the fact that “Pokemon” is propaganda of violence and false heroism. According to Turkish experts, anime about Pokemon can cause mental disorders in young viewers. The game was also sued for developing a gambling addiction. For the same reason, "Pokemon" is banned in the Arab states.

Information often appeared in the Russian press that Pokémon "zombified" the brains of children. In particular, "Arguments and Facts" printed the statements of Elena Rusalkina, director of the Research Institute of Psychotechnologies, about the hypnosis of children in the 25th frame inserted into the Pokemon animated series. Representatives of the Russian authorities also speak disapprovingly about products related to Pokemon. The series and games received negative reviews from the Deputy Chairman of the Defense Committee of the Federation Council of Russia Franz Klintsevich and the Minister of Telecom and Mass Communications Nikolai Nikiforov. In their opinion, games about Pokemon were created by special services to collect video information.

Massive flash mob from Pokemon fans

Church representatives spoke out about the fact that Pokémon games develop the imagination and do not have any bad effect on children. But then their rhetoric changed. They were outraged by the evolutionary concept, and in contrast to the card game about Pokemon, even the Christian Power Cards game was released, where biblical characters appeared instead of pocket monsters. After the release of the game Pokemon Go, which includes churches in its locations, a wave of indignation hit the Pokemon. Some religious figures called the game "satanic", others saw it as propaganda of Freemasonry and Zionism. The developers of the Pokémon games deny that there are any hints of religion in the Pokémon games and anime.

Among other things, critics note that fanatical Pokémonomaniacs can be dangerous for other people. For example, there are cases when Pokemon Go players have committed illegal acts: breaking into other people's houses, secret objects, participating in violence in order to catch a rare Pokemon, etc.

However, there are many positive reviews about Pokemon games and cartoons. Many critics said that this is a good children's series, which is also suitable for those who remain a child at heart. Anime reviews often talk about the deep issues that Pokémon actually raises: responsibility for the one you tamed, humanity towards animals and people, devotion, friendship, honesty, respect for nature. Critics talk about the good humor of the series, as well as strong dramatic moments. Reviewers of "Spark" found in "Pokemon" good and eternal, and the authors of "Home Computer" praise the series very much for the absence of violence and death. Popularizers of Japanese animation refute the accusations against the series and claim that not a single living creature has ever died in it.

Some psychologists praise Pokémon products for encouraging people with social anxiety and agoraphobia to step out of their comfort zone and interact with the world around them. In particular, this applies to the game Pokemon Go, in favor of which the behaviorists spoke out.

  • What does "pokemon" mean? Of course, "pocket monster". However, initially these monsters were not called Pokémon, but capumons - capsule monsters. The name "Pokemon" was suggested by Nintendo.
  • There are several localizations of the Pokémon anime. The Russian-speaking viewer is familiar with the American version. Interestingly, in the Japanese version of Pokémon, Ash is called Satoshi, after the creator of the Pokémon universe.

In the first edition, the name of the monsters sounded like "kapumon"

  • After the release of the Pokémon games, they were second in popularity only to Nintendo's Mario game.
  • The very first Pokemon invented for games was Raydon. Therefore, it is so often found in the drawings of the developers of early games.
  • The most popular Pokemon in the entire history of the franchise: the charming Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, the slow-witted Psyduck and Jigglypuff - a Pokemon that literally lulls you with its singing.
  • The best friend of the main character should not be Pikachu, but Clefairy. However, the Pokémon master Ash acquired Pikachu, since both girls and boys liked this Pokémon equally.
  • Games dedicated to the Pokémon universe have received a blessing from the Vatican.
  • Some characteristics of Pokémon are anatomically correct for real animals. For example, the appearance of Poliwag corresponds to the common tadpole.
  • Ash and his friends do not mature, although according to the timeline of the anime, they have been traveling for over 10 years. Satoshi Tajiri explained this feature by the reluctance to change the age audience, since Pokemon is primarily intended for children.
  • Victor Pelevin comprehended the nature of Pokemon Pikachu and Meowth in the novel "Numbers", linking the main characters of the work with him.
  • Have you ever wondered what Pokémon Hitmonlee means or who it represents? Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan are based on Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan, respectively.
  • In a world where Pokémon live, female trainers are not uncommon. The most popular Pokemon girls are Serena, Iris, Don, May, Team Rocket Jessie, Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy, Ash's rival and Pokemon Trainer Cynthia, and of course Misty.
  • The world of Pokemon has affected such cartoons as "Robot Chicken", "The Simpsons", "South Park", "Multi-Reality", where any images from the anime "Pokemon" or facts related to it are parodied.

In episode 28 of the nineteenth season (Pokémon: XYZ), "Answers in the Snowy Forest!" shows the true story of why Ash Ketchum loved Pokémon so much: when Ash was a little boy, he wanted to meet and befriend all Pokémon, and one day he went on a field trip to the forest. However, it started to rain during the trip and Ash became separated from his group. Frightened to tears, the boy was forced to hide under a hollow tree and wait for help. However, he spotted a group of wild Pokémon who were also looking for shelter from the rain. He invited them inside the tree, and the Pokémon joined him to warm, protect, and cheer him up. Ash was so happy that he even thought about how much he wanted to become a trainer so he could travel the world with his Pokémon.

In episode 7 of the seventeenth season (Pokémon: XY), "Chasing the Rhyhorn Races!" it was also revealed that at some point during his childhood, Ash attended Professor Oak's Pokémon Summer Camp in Pallet Town, where he previously dated childhood friend Serena. At some point while camping, Serena injured her knee from a fall after being frightened by Polivag. Ash bandaged her injury with his handkerchief, which she kept and returned to Ash in this episode.

In the anime

In the anime, Ash is a very energetic and open person. He is firm in battle with rivals, soft and affectionate with friends and Pokémon. Ready to fight anyone who challenges him to the very end. It is easy to piss him off, but if necessary, he knows how to pull himself together. He is distinguished by caring, he does not consider it shameful after the battle to inquire about the health of the opponent's Pokemon. Ash is not the smartest and most outstanding coach, however he learns from his mistakes. He does not like to give up and tries to find a way out of even the most difficult situation. Sometimes he makes really extraordinary decisions, but still often loses. There is an opinion among many fans that Misty is partial to Ash: in the song of the American version of "Misty's Song" this is directly stated, in addition, there are many facts, according to fans, hinting at this. However, one of the creators of the anime, Masamitsu Hidaka, said that Ash and Misty's relationship is closer to a brother-sister relationship than a romantic one. In addition, many fans are wondering who is Ash's father. Masamitsu Hidaka responded that Ash's father is a Pokémon Trainer and would appear in the series if the writers decide to develop Ash's character. In addition to Pikachu, Ash has Rowlet, Torrokat (formerly Litten), Twilight Lycanroc (formerly Rockruff), and Meltan, accompanied by a Rotom Pokédex. Professor Oak's lab contains Talonflame (formerly Fletchling and Fletchinder), Hawlucha, Neuvern (formerly Neubet), Anphezant (formerly Pidav and Tranquil), Oshawott, Pignite (formerly Tepig), Snivy, Scraggy, Livanni (formerly Sevadle and Swadloon), Palpitod , Boldor (formerly Rogenrolla), Crookodile (formerly Krokorok), Staraptor (formerly Starly and Starevia), Torterra (formerly Turtwig and Grotle), Infernape (formerly Chimchar and Monferno), Buizel, Gliscor (formerly Gliger), Ghibl, Swellow (formerly Taylow), Septile (formerly Trikko and Grovyle), Corphish, Torcal, Glayley (formerly Snorant), Heracross, Bayleaf (formerly Chikorita), Quilava (formerly Cyndaquil), Totodile, Shiny Noctoul, Donphan (formerly Fanpy), Snorlax, Bulbasaur, Charizard (formerly Charmander and Charmeleon), Kingler (formerly Krabby), Mac and 30 Tauros. Ash gave other trainers Squirtle, Primeape, Haunter (whom he didn't catch), Beedrill, released Butterfree (formerly Caterpie and Metapod), Pidget (formerly Pidgiotto), Lapras, Larvitar, Goodru (formerly Gumi and Sliggu), Greninja (formerly Froakie and Frogadier) and Poipole (one of the Ultra Beasts). Ash also had Raticate, which was traded for Butterfree, but Ash immediately traded it back, and Ape, who Ash traded from Dawn to Buizel.

At the start of the series, Ash, now ten years old, is given the right to train Pokémon. Since he overslept and the starter Pokémon were taken before him, Professor Oak gives him Pikachu as his first Pokémon. Ash and Pikachu didn't get along at first, but eventually became best friends. Ash traveled around the Kanto region along with his friends Misty and Brock. He is closely followed by the members of Team Rocket (Jesse, James and Meowth), who throughout the series intend to kidnap Pikachu, but fail over and over again (since they usually fly into the sky for various reasons, they shout that are in flight). Ash got new Pokémon mostly by not catching them, but by becoming friends with them, he had little understanding of Pokémon battles, and many of the badges he received were not due to a fair fight, but due to unforeseen circumstances. Nevertheless, he became a strong enough coach and entered the list of 16 best coaches of the Indigo League championship (and his rival Gary Oak, who was always a few steps ahead of Ash, entered only the list of 32). After losing the championship on the Indigo Plateau, Ash travels to the Orange Islands to retrieve a GS-Ball - a mysterious Poké Ball - for Professor Oak. After learning that the Orange Islands have their own Pokémon League, Ash decides to participate in it and becomes the champion of the Orange League, defeating Drake.

Emboldened, Ash travels to the Johto region with Misty and Brock. He wins all eight Johto badges and competes in the Silver Conference where he reaches the quarterfinals. At the championship, he defeats Gary and thereby knocks him down, after which they become friends, as they were in childhood. Ash then travels to the Hoenn region, with Brock, May's aspiring trainer-turned-Pokémon Coordinator, and her younger brother Max traveling with him; While traveling through the Hoenn region, the friends encounter two criminal gangs, Team Magma and Team Aqua, who seek to conquer the world with the help of the legendary Groudon and Kyogre. With the help of Lance, the champion of the Johto region and a member of the Kanto Elite Four, they are defeated. Ash collects all eight Hoenn badges, competes in the regional championship, and is again defeated in the quarterfinals. Accompanied by his friends, he goes to the Battle Line in Kanto, obtains all seven symbols, defeating the seven Heads of the Line. He is offered to become the Head of the Battle Line, but Ash refuses and goes to the Sinnoh region, traveling there with Brock and Dawn, the Pokémon coordinator; along the journey, the friends encounter Team Galactica, led by Sirius, seeking to create a new universe with the help of Palkia and Dialga. With the help of Cynthia, the champion of the Sinnoh region, and Detective Looker of the International Police, the threat is brought to a halt. Ash collects all eight Sinnoh badges and participates in the Regional Pokémon Championship and, having eliminated his main Sinnoh rival Paul in the quarterfinals, he advances to the semifinals, where he loses to Tobias, a skilled Pokémon trainer who has the legendary Pokémon Darkrai and Latios as partners.

After participating in the Sinnoh Championship, Ash travels to the Unova region. This time Ash is accompanied by Iris, who dreams of becoming a master of dragons, and Cilan, a Pokémon connoisseur, one of the leaders of the stadium in Striaton City (in the Russian dubbing of the TNT channel, the name Iris was translated as Iris). As before, Ash wins all eight Unova badges and competes in the Regional Championship, losing to Cameron in the quarterfinals due to his Riolu's evolution into Lucario. Ash, Iris and Cilan then travel with a mysterious man named N to the White Ruins to see the legendary Reshiram while fighting off Team Rocket and Team Plasma, who seek to bend Reshiram to their will and conquer the world. After the complete defeat of Team Plasma, Ash's friends travel with him to the Kanto region via the Decolor Islands, where they part ways, following their dreams.

Ash then traveled to the Kalos region to challenge the local Pokémon League as well as learn more about Mega Evolution, a transformation that causes most fully evolved Pokémon to take on a more powerful temporary form. While there, he began traveling with Clemont, the stadium leader in Lumiose City, and his little sister Bonnie, as well as Serena, whom he met at a Pokémon summer camp when they were much younger. They meet new rivals such as Sawyer, Shauna, Tierno, Trevor and Alan. Among the other Pokémon he finds or buys is Froakie, who later evolves into the powerful Greninja. Although Ash does not yet have Pokémon that can Mega-evolve, the group discovers that his Greninja is able to manifest the "Link Phenomenon", a transformation where Ash and Greninja connect to each other psychically and Greninja's body takes on a color scheme reminiscent of Ash. Like Mega Evolved, this transformation is temporary and makes Ash-Greninju much more powerful and well-capable of defeating Mega-Evolved Pokémon. Currently, no other known Pokémon is capable of the Bond Phenomenon, and several rivals have shown great interest in competing against it in the Kalos League with their own Mega Evolving Pokémon. As before, Ash earns all eight Kalos League badges, and with the help of the new Pokémon, defeats many opponents and their Mega Evolved Pokémon, advancing to the finals and thus increasing his previous high ranking, but is defeated by Alan. After the tournament, Ash and his friends took part in a battle against Team Flash, a local villainous organization bent on taking over the region. During the Crisis, Ash is captured by Team Flash along with his Pokémon. Lysander, the leader of the organization, wanted to use him and Greninja to carry out their criminal plans. Team Flash used a mini version of their device capable of controlling Zygarde, the Legendary Order Pokémon, in an attempt to control Ash along with Greninja and their Link Phenomenon. But Ash, who was able to hear Pikachu's voice, and the Greninja resisted Team Flash's control. The villains failed to break their morale and break their bond, so they activate the Bond Phenomenon and break out of captivity. Alan freed Ash's other Pokémon and helped him take down Team Flash. It turned out that he was a member of it, but left the group, realizing its true essence (including thanks to Ash). Once Team Flash is finally defeated, Ash releases his Greninja to help protect Kalos from other threats. Ash and his friends parted ways: Clemont and Bonnie stayed in Lumiose City to work at the stadium, Serena went to the Hoenn region to improve her skills as a Pokémon performer, and Ash returned to his native Pallet Town.

While vacationing with his mother in the Alola region, Ash encounters Tapu Koko, one of the local Guardian Pokémon, who gives him a Z-Ring, an item that allows the Trainer to manifest special abilities from his Pokémon. When Ash first uses the Z-Ring with Pikachu, it releases a huge burst of energy that overloads and destroys the Z-Crystal powering it, after which Ash realizes he must learn to control it. In order to master the power of the Z-Ring and prove that he is worthy of possessing it and using it to protect people and Pokémon, Ash decides to stay in Alola and enters the Melemele Island Pokémon School, lives with Professor Kukui and studies with his new classmates: Lana, Mallow, Lily, Sophocles and Kiawe while fighting Team Rocket and Team Skull. During his time in Alola, Ash not only encountered many new varieties of Pokémon, some of which became part of his new Pokémon team, but also competed in the Alola Island Trials, each leading to a Grand Trial against each chief of the island; After winning the Preliminary and Grand Trials, Ash received various Z-Crystals. With the discovery of other-dimensional Pokémon known as Ultra Beasts appearing through wormholes, Ash and his classmates become part of a team called the Ultra Guardians tasked with capturing the Ultra Beasts and returning them to their own dimensions.

Ash greatly improved his ability as a trainer over the course of the anime. However, his seriousness and determination remain unchanged. During the anime's first season, Ash trained to catch more Pokémon than his childhood rival, Gary Oak, although Gary was always the stronger trainer. He soon began to focus more on each of his Pokémon's abilities.

During his journey to become a Pokémon Master, Ash collected 8 badges from each of the major regions of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos. In addition, he also received 4 badges from the Orange Archipelago and defeated the champion of the Orange Islands to receive the Victor's Trophy. In games

Red, what does he look like in Red and Blue

Although Ash himself does not appear in the games of the main series, he is based on the protagonist of the first games in the series. Pokémon Red and Blue- Rede. Red, like Ash, travels the Kanto region collecting badges, rivals Professor Oak's grandson Blue, opposes Team Rocket, and aspires to become the champion of the Pokémon League. AT Pokémon Yellow, addition Red and Blue, Red's starter Pokémon is Pikachu, in addition, like Ash in the anime, he gets all three Kanto starter Pokémon: Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle, and he is also opposed by Jesse and James. Red is the main character of the remakes Red and Blue Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen and appears as the final boss in the sequels Pokémon Gold, Silver and Crystal and in their remakes Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, as well as in Pokémon Stadium 2 at Silver Mountain. There, Red has Pikachu, as well as Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise, the evolved forms of Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, respectively. Red appears as one of the characters in Nintendo's crossover fighting game Super Smash Bros. Brawl under the name "Pokemon Trainer".

The only game where Ash appears on his own is Pokémon Puzzle League for game console Nintendo 64. AT Puzzle League Ash is the main character.

In the manga

Ash's prototype, Red, appears in the manga. Pokémon Adventures where is one of the main characters. AT Pokémon Pocket Monsters the protagonist is Isamu Akai, nicknamed "Red".

History of creation

The character was created based on Red, the protagonist of the games Pokémon Red and Blue. Red was designed by Ken Sugimori, the character designer for the games in the main series. In the original Japanese, he was named Satoshi, after Satoshi Tajiri, the creator of Pokémon. For the anime, his image was slightly altered by artist Sayuri Ichishi. In the American version, Satoshi was renamed Ash, in addition, he was given the surname "Ketchum" - a derivative of the slogan of the media franchise "Gotta Catch'em All!" (With English- "Catch them all!").

Tajiri noted in an interview that in Japan they buy more things with Pikachu, and in the USA - things with Ash and Pikachu at the same time. The creator of "Pokemon" concluded that in America they better understand his idea, since a person is no less important than a pokemon. Ash, like Red, has a rival - Professor Oak's grandson Gary Oak (Blue in the games), who is named Shigeru in the Japanese version of the anime, after Shigeru Miyamoto, whom Tajiri considers his teacher. Tajiri emphasized the difference between Red and Blue's relationship and Ash and Gary's: if the former two are true rivals, then Gary is more of Ash's older friend. To the question "Will Ash Gary ever surpass" Tajiri replied "No! Never!" . Ash's age does not change throughout the series: he is always 10 years old. The anime's creators explain that the series would otherwise have been aimed at a more mature audience.

Voice acting

In the Japanese version of the anime, Ash is voiced by voice actor Rika Matsumoto. As she herself said, it is easy for her to voice male protagonists, as she had a very lively personality as a child, and this is why she likes to voice Satoshi. In the American 4Kids Entertainment dub, Ash is voiced by Veronica Taylor, after the eighth season, in The Pokémon Company dub, by Sarah Natochenny. After the dialogues are translated from Japanese, they are changed to fit the length. The dubbing took place in complete isolation, so Taylor spent six to eight hours in the dubbing room. Her voice was often recorded first, so she had to imagine the lines spoken before her words. “Fortunately, I worked with a good director who helped me understand the meaning of the dialogues and respect the intonation.” Taylor said that she enjoyed voicing Ash because of his "husky and deep voice" and his "energy and cheerfulness". In addition, Taylor noticed that Ash and his friends "went into a frenzy" after the first ten episodes of the anime: it seems to her that the work of the writers became less stressful, which is why she liked voicing Ash more in later episodes. In the Russian version, Ash was voiced by Anna Levchenko in the first seasons, and since 2008 by Larisa Nekipelova.

Reviews and popularity

Book The Japanification of Children's Popular Culture called Ash an example of a collective image of all players: like the players, he is new to the gaming world and is just discovering it for himself. In addition, it is noted in the book that throughout the anime series, Ash becomes more experienced and his character develops. UGO.com ranked Ash as the fifteenth most memorable hat wearer, noting that "Love him or hate him, but everyone knows Ash Ketchum because of his red and white cap." "Guinness World Records 2011 - Gamer's Edition" ranked Ash 37th in the list of readers' favorite computer game characters, although Ash himself hardly appeared in games.

The Pokémon Go universe is full of various creatures that you will meet at every turn, here you have a table of Pokémon evolution. Some of them will become so familiar to users, but you may not know about the existence of some characters at all. The Pokemon Encyclopedia in Russian will help you learn everything you need about any creature. In it, you can see a picture of the Pokémon, read a brief description, and learn a lot of other useful information that will help you during the game.

Just choose the creature you need and find out everything about it! In Pokemon GO, the Pokemon table with pictures and names will clearly acquaint the player with all the parameters. This includes height, weight, and the type and talents of the creature it can use. All Pokémon from the game Pokémon Go are divided into types: each type will determine the unique features of the character, as well as influence the list of his talents. Pokemon classes are very important in game mechanics - the best and legendary creatures that can decide the outcome of the battle can be immediately highlighted.

You will also be able to track the development of Pokémon. Evolution most often has three stages, but sometimes a creature may not develop at all. Remember that the same Pokémon can have different stats. Pokémon levels affect their stat rating and also determine how much attack they will have. As a rule, rare Pokémon are stronger creatures.

But even the strongest Pokémon have some weaknesses. They are located directly below the information about the type of creature. For example, if a Pokémon is a Fire type, then it is likely to be vulnerable when in contact with a water creature. Sometimes the opposite outcome is also quite real, so special attention should be paid to one more small table, located just under the image of the character.

To make the Pokemon game not only interesting, but also have some balance, in addition to the general characteristics, the developers introduced additional parameters of the creature. Each Pokemon has health, speed, and attack and defense, which are divided into normal and special. Pokemon species can vary greatly in all of these ways. If the first Pokemon can not boast of them, then as the rarity of creatures increases, their characteristics increase. Especially when they evolve. In other words, such a Pokemon coolness table will quickly reveal all the obvious pros and cons of each character.

Thus, we have compiled a complete list of Pokémon, making it convenient and informative so that each player can quickly find out all the important information about the creature of interest to him. Some of them are able to enter the top Pokémon, others can be a great addition to the battle group.! This information can help them a lot! Thank you!

Any fan of the universe of pocket monsters is interested in the first plan characters in the Pokemon series. Many of them have been keeping up with the audience since the first season. They have their own characters, goals and aspirations, and therefore they should be remembered for yourself.

Main character

From the first episodes of watching the Pokemon series, the characters of the first plan appear on the screen. Almost the entire plot revolves around the life path of Ash Ketchum - the protagonist of the universe. From an early age, he dreamed of becoming a trainer, and later a Pokémon Master. He overslept the choice of the first pet in the laboratory, and therefore he was left with only a wild Pikachu. Together with this yellow mouse, they went through many adventures and managed to become inseparable friends. In each new generation of pocket monsters, Ash assembled a new team. Among them it is worth noting Charizard, Torterra, Donfan, Quilava and many other strong fighters. All of them are stored in Professor Oak's laboratory, where they are looked after by employees.

misty

In the Pokemon series, Misty did not appear from the first episodes. Her appearance was due to Ash Ketchum arriving in Cerulean where she was the leader of the stadium. The guy defeated her and she agreed to join him on the journey. The girl uses only water-type creatures, because she is trying to become the best Pokemon trainer of this element. The reason for this is because her older sisters are coaches at the Water Stadium. In the Pokémon cartoon, Misty is the youngest of them all. She endured a lot in her childhood, because everyone considered her the least attractive. The girl's love for water fighters is manifested in the fact that for five seasons she trained exclusively this type. She has a rare fear of all insects and hates these Pokémon. Another of her occupations is to calm down Brock, Ash's other companion. He can't help but see a beautiful girl and Misty always brings him to his senses.

Other male characters

In the first season of the Pokemon series, male characters have always been in the spotlight. In addition to the main character Ash, Brock was also present, who also served as the leader of the stadium and after the defeat joined the main character. He specializes in stone-type fighters. He has Geodude, Onyx, Golbat and other powerful pets in his pokeballs. In the second season, Ash goes on a trip to the Orange Islands and Brock takes over from Tracy. This cheerful character knows almost all the names of Pokemon, because he is an observer. He always carries sheets of paper and a pencil with him in order to capture the most interesting moments associated with pocket monsters. His dream is to one day meet Professor Oak, because he wants to be like him in everything. Tracy is sometimes absent-minded, but he is a good and helpful friend who is ready to help at any moment.

Professor Oak

Main villains

In the Pokemon cartoon, not all characters pursue good goals. There are those among them who want to enrich themselves at the expense of other coaches. This includes all members of the "Team R". Most often, three of this gang of villains appear on the screens - Jesse, James and Meowth. The first heroine is a narcissistic and aggressive character. She desires fame, money and jewelry to satisfy her insatiable desires. A guy named James wants to start his own business, but he himself is a little silly and often can't handle his own Pokémon. For example, his Viktribel, instead of opponents, rushed at his trainer, which prevented the continuation of the battle. The third member of the team is the talking pet Meowth. It is he who takes the place of the think tank and comes up with all their cunning plans. In almost every episode, these three guys try to kidnap Pikachu or other powerful creatures in order to send fighters to their boss and earn his recognition.

Memorable Enemies

In the Pokemon series, the characters who are Ash's opponents are not always remembered. In almost every season, the main rival in the competition appeared, but among all, two heroes were remembered. Harry can be considered the first, because he appeared in the first season and it was him that Ash always wanted to overtake in strength. The professor's grandson pursues the same goals, but he is always surrounded by a crowd of admirers and is recognized in many places. Fighting him is quite dangerous, because he has experience and strong pets.

In the fourth generation of pocket monsters, Ash met Paul, who is his complete opposite. This guy sees Pokémon as mere tools to achieve his goals. He punishes them for any misstep, makes the fighters evil through constant intense training. Ash tried to constantly argue with him, but he said that he did not need friends.
