Story
The history of the "Field of Miracles" program began when Vladislav Listyev and Anatoly Lysenko rested in an ordinary hotel. The idea of creating the program was born while watching the American TV show Wheel of Fortune. Vladislav Listyev took the name for the program from A. N. Tolstoy's fairy tale "The Golden Key," or "The Adventures" of Buratino.
The premiere of the program took place at the First program TsT USSR on October 25, 1990. The first host was Vladislav Listyev, then episodes with different hosts were shown, and finally, on November 22, 1991, a new main host appeared - Leonid Yakubovich. Leonid Yakubovich's assistants are several female models, including the permanent assistant Rimma Agafoshina, who opens the guessed letters and gives prizes to the players' children since 1996. Later, Listyev appeared in several issues as a co-host of Yakubovich until his death.
From October 25 to December 27, 1990, the program aired on Thursdays at 20:00. From January 1 to May 28, 1991, it aired on Tuesdays at 21:45. Since June 7, 1991, it has been published weekly on Fridays at 20:00. In the case of each holiday, the program goes on the air on the day preceding the holiday, as well as in cases where the working day is transferred to Saturday.
On October 23, 1992, the 100th issue of Field of Miracles was released, which was filmed on September 29 at. In this issue, the finalist lost his car due to a hint from the viewer, after which Leonid Yakubovich changed the task, and asked the violator to leave the hall. The finalist could not answer the question of the changed task, but the prizes won were left to the finalist ..
On November 3, 2010, an anniversary concert dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the appearance of the program was released. The concert took place at the Nikulin Moscow Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard (created jointly with the Red Square), but this time there was no game as such. In October 2015, Field of Miracles celebrated its 25th anniversary. Anniversary issue dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the program was released on October 30, 2015.
A simple arithmetic calculation suggests that about 12,000 people participated in the program over 25 years. In addition to the usual releases in the studio at the drum, people have repeatedly celebrated their professional holidays: Builder's Day, Doctor's Day, Miner's Day, Police Day, etc. New Year's programs, programs for March 8, as well as fun releases for April Fool's Day have become traditional. . Special sectors
- Prize (P)- the player can choose whether to continue the game or take the prize hidden in the black box. In the latter case, he leaves the game. The presenter bargains with the player for a prize, which can be any thing (from car keys, TV, player, a check for $10,000, vouchers and excursions to a pumpkin, onion, a bottle of vodka, a toy car, slippers). Also, instead of a black box, you can take a cash prize (the player chooses the amount himself). If the player refuses the prize, then it is considered that the player has a sector with 2000 points.
- Plus (+)- the player can open any letter according to the score (if this letter occurs several times, then all are opened). As a rule, the first letter is opened (if it is not already open).
- Chance (W)- the player can call on the phone (the number is given by a random viewer in the studio) to get an answer or a hint. If on the other end of the wire they answer correctly, then a prize is sent to him. If a player refuses this sector, it is considered that he has dropped a sector with 1500 points. Currently, the "Chance" sector is displayed on the reel with the image of a phone.
- Key- the player is given several keys, one of which is from the car. The player chooses one of these keys and tries to open the car door with it. If the key fits - the player takes the car, if not - continues to play. Moreover, this sector can be abandoned, and then the leader offers 2000 points for a guessed letter. But if the player used the sector and chose the wrong key, then the move from it passes to another player. Then an assistant comes up and shows that there really is a key to the car. Currently, the "Key" sector is displayed on the reel with the image of a key.
- Bankrupt (B)- the points scored by the player are burned out, and the turn passes to the next player. If the "Bankrupt" sector falls out twice, the player is given an incentive prize.
- Zero (0)- the points scored do not burn out, but the move is transferred to another player.
- ×2- the points scored by the player are doubled if he correctly names the letter (if there are two letters, then it is tripled, if three - it is multiplied by 4, etc.)
Rules of the game
The game is played in three rounds, each of which involves 3 players and the final, in which the winners of the rounds participate.
At the beginning of the round, the host announces the topic of the game to the participants. All questions in the game will be related to this topic, which can be anything (for example: owls, honey, weddings, iron). Next, the presenter shows the word encrypted on the scoreboard related to the topic, and gives suggestive hints so that the players guess it. The main task of each player is to guess the word faster than his rivals and earn as many points as possible.
The players spin the drum. The first move is made by the player closest to the leader. He can get sectors with any number of points that he will receive if he guesses the letter, or a special (also temporary) sector.
When successful move the player names the letter of the Russian alphabet, which, according to him, is present in the hidden word. If there is such a letter, then it opens on the scoreboard, and the player receives the number of points dropped out (if there are several such letters, all are opened, and points are awarded for each), and can spin the drum again or take a chance and name the whole word. If the named letter is not in the word (or if the move is ineffective), the right to spin the drum passes to the next player. The first player to guess the whole word wins. If the player calls the word incorrectly, then he is out of the game. The word can also be opened letter by letter by spinning the wheel and naming one letter per turn. In this case, the winner of the final is the player who opens the last letter.
Players who win their rounds advance to the final. The player who wins the final round is considered the winner of the game. He can choose prizes for the points earned (the number of points scored by the players is not displayed anywhere, and the amount of points earned by the winner of the game is announced by the host).
With three letters correctly guessed in a row, the player has the right to choose from two caskets, one of which contains money. If he guesses the box, he receives a prize of 5 thousand rubles, which cannot “burn out”.
The player is eliminated from the game if he took the prize (or money for it), or said the wrong word.
If two players left, then the rule works for the third three successful moves, introduced in 1993. It consists in the fact that the player, after three effective moves, must name the word - otherwise, he leaves the game and does not become the winner of the round. Thus, two or one player can play in the final; the game can also be left without a winner (if the above situation occurs in the final) or even without a final (if this happens in all three qualifying rounds).
In the early 1990s, there was an "insurance" consisting of the following: the participants called it an "accident" (for example: the "Bankrupt" sector fell twice in a row, not a single correct letter was named, the move did not reach at all, etc.), and, if something happened to the participant from which he was “insured”, he received a cash prize. Each trio, final and super game were held by independent companies.
In early 1991, a game with spectators sitting in the studio appeared, which existed until the fall of 2001.
Since the players are not alone in the studio, there is a possibility of an unauthorized hint. If the host heard a hint from the audience, the prompter is removed from the studio, and the host changes the task.
Super game
After the winner of the game has chosen prizes for the points earned, the host invites him to participate in a super game, where he can either lose everything or win a super prize, a gift from the program and a car in addition to the prizes earned. The player has an absolutely free right - to play the super game, or not to play and leave with the prizes won in the main game.
In case of agreement, the player spins the drum to select one of the six super prizes. The host thinks of three words (until August 2006 - one), including one main and two additional ones. After that, the leader gives the player the right to name several letters of the alphabet (the number of letters is called by the leader, usually this is half the letters of the main word, if there is an even number of letters, and half, rounded up, if odd). If the letters named by the player are in all the words, they are revealed. After that, the player is given a minute to name the main word. If he guessed the main word, then he receives a super prize, if two (together with the main one), then in addition to the super prize, the player receives a gift from the program. If the player guesses all three words, then he gets a car. If the player does not guess the horizontal word, then he loses all prizes won by points (only gifts and money from two boxes). Sometimes, however, one or more of these prizes will remain with the player at the behest of the host.
For a short time in the second half of the 1990s, the Field of Miracles sector existed in the super game among the super prizes. His loss meant giving the player a jersey, cap and his release from playing the super game without losing everything previously won.
Until August 2006, only one word was guessed in the super game. Since September 1, 2006, 2 additional words have been introduced that cross the main one (a kind of crossword puzzle). To win in the super game, it is enough for the player (but in any case it is necessary) to guess the main (horizontal) one. If, after successfully guessing the horizontal one, he also names the vertical ones, then the car wins. If the player guesses the vertical words, but does not guess the horizontal one, then the super game will be lost.

The recording of 52 minutes of the broadcast lasts up to three hours. Filming of the TV show takes place regardless of its broadcast: so they can be organized both on weekdays and on weekends. The program has its own museum, which stores items donated by the participants to Leonid Yakubovich. The Field of Wonders Capital Show Gift Museum was established in 2001, but its idea was conceived in the early 1990s. In the museum you can find the first box of the "Field of Miracles", the costumes that Yakubovich wore, numerous portraits of Yakubovich and much more. The museum is located in the Central Pavilion of the All-Russian Exhibition Center. You can touch most of the exhibits with your hands, you are allowed to take pictures, try on costumes. I personally was annoyed by everything: this Yakubovich, terribly tired (it’s obvious!) From the lucky ones who came from all over the world, and kisses, hugs, dances, songs, the stupidity of some players who, it seems, don’t even know the Russian alphabet, don’t not to mention just remembering the question just asked by the cynical presenter. And gifts! God, how did they drag it all in: jars of tomato-cucumbers, self-baked cakes, bottles of vodka, moonshine and some kind of infusions; this aunt, wandering, in my opinion, from one channel to another only because she found a rhyme for her village Kokteben and now everything rhymes with swear words, waves a broom at the man's fly, which brings the majority of viewers into indescribable delight!
Yakubovich, apparently, is already sick of all these gifts and souvenirs, songs, dressing up either in a welder's suit or in an Uzbek robe. Where do they put all this, and, most importantly, why do they taste who knows what?
We brought grandmother to tears with our sharp comments, and, most importantly, with the fact that we guessed everything in a row before the players. Disgraceful transmission! Dumb! Yakubovich "mows cabbage" in advertising, that's all! Could have done something smarter!
In the end, the granny, driven to rage, waved a towel at me and said: “You are all so smart, why don’t you go? only there!"

I won’t repeat the letter I wrote now, I didn’t save it, but when they read mine, everyone laughed, including my grandmother. She said then: "Yakubovich will think that we are all some kind of crazy ...". But she gave the go-ahead to send it. We were gathered in some large hall, there were not enough seats for everyone, because with each player there were from one to ten relatives. By the way, not all the escorts got there, there are not enough invitations. And invitation cards for shooting are somehow sold in advance somewhere.
Filmed five games at once, each with nine people, well, that is, three "triples".
Yakubovich entered to our applause, because we had been waiting for him too long. He said hello and apologized for continuing to talk on the phone. In the second minute, we realized that he was talking to Makarevich. A whisper began: “He is talking to Andrei Makarevich!”, They fell silent, “glued” ears .... Kisilev slipped somewhere through the hall! Mitkova was arguing with someone in the corridor, we did not hear her voice, but we saw through the glass wall how she was waving her arms. Yes, her nose in profile is not like that .... Therefore, always only in full face on the screen ... it's clear!
Yakubovich had already started talking to us, getting to know each other, and we were all looking around, in case we see someone else.
First, he congratulated us all on the fact that we were lucky - out of (in my opinion) 50,000 people writing to the editorial office, they chose one!
“You are one of 50,000!” - said our mustachioed presenter, - “You are already so lucky that, I ask you, do not think about such nonsense now as your possible win! You must help me put on a show! And the prize, winning is no longer the main thing for you. Everything, of course, will be, but take it easy!
Sift everything that you brought, choose only what is really interesting, do not give any bed linen if it is not embroidered by your hands, do not make me eat your food. I don’t have such a strong stomach, I eat before the broadcast. Look at what you may have spoiled, rotten along the way. Do not carry much, even if it is very fresh."
The interview lasted eight hours, until the evening, that is, therefore, it is impossible to tell everything. But, believe me, I have never been to a more interesting and funny meeting!
Everyone demanded attention and in various ways tried to draw attention to their person - after all (and indeed!) For several years they tried to break through here, to get on TV. I was even somehow ashamed when a Muscovite Georgian woman sitting next to me, a mother of nine children, said that for eight years, with a break of two weeks, she sent the same letter in the hope of getting to Leonid Arkadyevich. When she asked if I had been waiting for a long time, I lied that it was about the same .... She felt so sorry.
Yakubovich begged not to broadcast greetings to his daughter Varenka, said that, they say, he would cut it out anyway. Do not say hello to her and his wife, they still do not watch this program, even he himself.
I began to look at Arkadyevich with different eyes. Everything he said and how he behaved was very different from my idea of him.
For example, he pleaded with “ordinary” people: “Greetings and kind words to the boss, chairman of the collective farm, director of the plant, please speak only if you personally know and respect him! then normal people, your countrymen, will fall out of love with you.But call an old teacher, nurse by name, pronounce the name of your small village beautifully and legibly, glorify it, thank the taxi driver who brought you here, do not hesitate to say that you are a shepherd, do not call yourself junior technician! Oh! He began to like me very much. He endeared all people to him, and not by his acting, but by real sincerity, at this meeting this was understandable, obvious.
Earlier, when Yakubovich “break off” some player, even almost mocked someone, I thought with indignation: “Well, boor. Such a cynic! You can’t do this with simple village naive!”
Now I understand - he is TOO reserved! I would actually kill some there: one sits with a calculator - calculates what tax he will pay if he wins a car, how much customs clearance will cost - it may be more profitable to take money; another asks - at least hint, if a carrot is planted in a suitcase, he is the boss, he is afraid they will laugh at home; the third drags by the elbow to the side - "These are the gifts for you PERSONALLY, you will support me ...".
I sat behind the rows on the windowsill next to two men. One is a young firefighter from Tver, Sergey, the second, with awards on his chest, a mustachioed, most pleasant old man from Ukraine, Valery Arkadyevich. We reacted in the same way to this whole “performance”, and quite naturally got to know each other during the “play”.
In short, the main thing is to fool around, knowing the boundaries of what is permitted!
Sweating, tired, with jaws playing on his cheeks, Yakubovich said goodbye to us until tomorrow. Wish you good luck.

We went to a cafe, sat until midnight, drank champagne for the USSR, then separately for our sisters - Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, our children met, left us and hung out somewhere in the adjacent shops ...
Arkadyevich said that he would constantly call the letter “b” so that the Galina Blanka prize would fall out, Sergey said that he had extinguished the Ostankino TV tower just before that - the prize was guaranteed for him, and my only clue is my eerily funny youngest son Ilya. We have already enjoyed our communication so much that it remains only tomorrow to run to the shooting of "Field of Miracles", and - we can continue!
Each of us said that if he wins a cash prize, he will divide it into three! But with Seryozha, we secretly agreed in this case to give everything to our veteran - Valery Arkadyevich began to fight at the age of 13 in the Navy, he was a cabin boy, was in captivity, well, you understand ....
We all came to the dressing room (and we really need it - we didn’t sleep half the night, soaking the meeting of the republics!), while the men stared at the breasts of the beautiful Rimma (from the three assistants decorating the program), powdered the noses of the ladies, then the children, then the simplest - they combed the men and gave everyone in the ass - it was necessary to hurry, it was stuffy and very crowded in the hall, the audience (the hall) was already sitting there, suffering on some kind of Lilliputian chairs.
In the top three, Yakubovich immediately "knocked out" that calculator. The hall prompted, he tried, but Leonid Arkadievich (well done!) “tortured” him first.
The second "troika" could not start in any way, because the grandfather was crying alone. Former students piled on a cow for him, he brought milk in a five (!) Liter jar, when he left the elevator at the studio, he smashed ... it is impossible to replace, where can I get a five-liter? And the other grandmother will immediately recognize, “bite through” that this milk is not hers, a substitution!
Arkadyevich very intelligently scolded the girl director for the lack of initiative, said that this “troika” would go third, and she would take a taxi to the market for milk and a can. “Call, look, I will calm grandfather!”
Well, we're out! We joked so that poor Yakubovich couldn't stop us, we didn't kiss, we didn't dress him up, but we had so much fun that the whole audience laughed and had fun. When Ilya mine sang “It’s been a hard day’s night” by the Beatles, the presenter “died” to the drum! It's not even "Yesterday", but a complex composition!
We were filmed for about forty minutes, milk and a jar were taken to grandfather for two hours, he was happy!
The third trio came out. There was a “star” in it, from where I don’t remember, either from Perm, or from Penza, I don’t know Russian cities well. Every time a move came to him, he called loudly: "The letter is a soft sign!". He "got" Yakubovich so much that we already began to fear for the fate of the Permian-Penzyak! In the end, the enraged Arkadevich kindly asks: “What, you idiot, don’t you know other letters? Already made me laugh, that's enough!”, he answered angrily: “Why should I tell others GOOD letters?”
This "Solid Sign" reached the final! Lucky fools! And the drum clearly stopped at “car”, but Uncle Leni's reaction was excellent (he is also a pilot) - with his shoe under the table, he slightly moved the arrow to the “gas stove”!

We again spent the evening in a cafe, throwing our prizes into a corner under the supervision of children. We said goodbye ... Everyone - on the trains, home ...
The cry of the waitress brought us back from the opposite side of the highway: “Lord, this is the first time I see such “fools”! Take your prizes!
We are still texting: Russia, Belarus (and not Belarus!) and Ukraine!
The worst thing was at home: so many people called us that we didn’t know so much. At work, at my son's institute, in kindergarten, neighbors, we had to tell this story, because the broadcast was not soon, only at the end of October they showed it.
And, it turns out, until this day there were "flowers" ...
Now my aunts just stopped me (I was painted a bright red color!) on the street, the children pointed their fingers, they let me out of the queue in the village council, because I did say hello to my village. Thank God also that on the air our performance was cut from forty to three minutes!
I urgently cut my hair, repainted ... Everything calmed down ...
Since then, "Field of Miracles" I have not watched even once!
And on the eve of the New Year, literally in a day, on Friday, the phone, already not silent, was torn from the news: "Hurry, turn on the first channel - your" Field of Miracles "is repeated!"
I barely survived another month of "fame" ...
Then, two years later, she slightly strayed from the (hidden!) vacuum cleaner received as a prize in the Russian Federation. For him ("soap dish") some unimaginable tax, a fine for late payment and a penalty were required!
And the mammoth, given to Ilya by Uncle Lenya, is in our place of honor above the fireplace!

On October 25, 1990, the first release of the Field of Miracles television game with host Vlad Listyev took place in a dark blue studio with a drum of a simple, unpretentious shape, with external handles that look like hooks, and with arrows indicating sectors, a scoreboard with black letters. A year later, in 1991, the studio underwent its first change: the inscription “Field of Miracles” appeared on the wall, and the letters on the scoreboard turned blue. Two years later, in 1993, the drum shrank and acquired an arrow like a compass, as well as several vertical handles. The number of maximum points that a participant could score has increased to 750. Among other things, the music has changed. In this form, the studio lasted another two years. In 1995, when the screensavers and the logo of Channel One changed, the scenery of the “Field of Miracles” show also acquired a new look: the stairs along which the participants descended began to glow, televisions appeared on the steps, where a spinning drum was broadcast, the music changed again. In this form, the studio existed for 6 years until 2001, when the show "Field of Miracles" completely changed its image. Naturally, the studio could not help but change. It was improved, modernized, a new drum with a plasma screen was installed, on which the course of the arrow was broadcast. Finally, the last changes touched the studio 8 years ago, in 2005, when they changed the drum and music. Since then and until now, the design of the studio has not changed any more.
