How to draw leaves with a pencil. Drawing autumn leaves for children using the poke method step by step with a photo How to draw an aspen leaf with a pencil in stages

01.07.2019

In the previous lesson, I showed . This lesson will be like an addition to it. Here we will consider how to draw leaves with a pencil step by step. As an example, I will show how to draw a maple leaf. The drawing process is not difficult.

Step one. I start with markup. I draw something that looks like a hieroglyph. Each of these lines represents the main network of veins. Step two. Let's draw the contours of the maple leaf itself. Remember that this is still a sketch, so you do not need to put pressure on the pencil. We will erase these lines later. Step three. We take a colored pencil. I leave the choice of color to you. I took green, even though it's already autumn, but I like green. We trace the contours and erase the auxiliary lines that I talked about in the previous steps.
Step four. We take another colored pencil and decorate our sheet as we wish. I got completely green. But you can make any color. In nature, there are many different leaves, so there are no restrictions. The result will be something like this: But this is not the end. This time I decided to show how to draw leaves with a pencil completely, from sketch to coloring, and not just coloring as in the previous lesson about autumn. It turned out very realistic, what do you think?
And I also give you a cheat sheet (or just remind you how they look) the leaves of other trees. I collected the collection myself. My classmate and I walked through the park and picked leaves for ourselves. This is how we have fun: I also really wanted to draw chestnut leaves, but I did not find a single good copy, they all fell off. Therefore, I give a picture from the network:
And here is the entire harvest:
That's probably all. You can also draw other vegetation.

Tree leaves are the simplest and most beautiful decoration of our planet. We only pay attention to this only in late autumn, when the leaves change their usual green color to gold, creating an unusual carnival of autumn colors and shades of nature. All leaves are unique and beautiful in their own way, but still, the maple leaf stands out from other leaves in size and shape. So let's try this lesson. draw leaves maple, more precisely one leaf. But it is enough to learn how to draw one leaf to draw a whole "bouquet" of leaves. By the way, multi-colored maple leaves painted on paper can become a stylish and bright decoration for your room. As always, we will perform the drawing in stages, first we draw the outline of the sheet with a simple pencil, and then paint it with paints or colored pencils.

1. Let's make the initial markup of the veins

Draw a horizontal line and from it draw with a simple pencil one vertical line in the center and one oblique line on each side. Do not make lines with a ruler, in nature there are no leaves that have the correct geometric shape.

2. Add small veins to the main veins

At this stage, you need to arbitrarily, observing a certain symmetry, draw small veins. Pay attention to the horizontal vein of the leaf, there are fewer branches on it. In general, if you draw leaves in summer or autumn, then take a few maple leaves in the park and carefully study their structure. If you draw them "from nature", then leaf pattern will be very realistic.

3. Maple leaf shape

It is not difficult to circle the drawn veins with one solid line, not necessarily copying my drawing. The main thing is to draw sharp corners on the edges and make noticeable gaps between the parts of the sheet. Usually the leaves have a solid shape, with barely noticeable gaps, and maple leaves seem to consist of several segments. This is what distinguishes them from the leaves of other trees.

4. Drawing of a maple leaf in detail

Draw thickenings for the main leaf veins. The stem for any leaves must be made noticeably thicker than the veins at the base. Finish drawing the bottom outline of the leaf shape, and move on to the next step.

5. How to draw leaves. Final step.

You can see that drawing leaves is not difficult at all. It is important to draw fine details correctly and draw the shape accurately so that the leaf in your drawing does not look oblique or crooked. Add some more small strokes to the drawing and you can color the resulting maple leaf drawing with paints or colored pencils.

6. Leaves are best painted with colored pencils

I always make shadows with a simple pencil at the last step of the drawing. You don't have to do this, especially since leaf drawings they will look great if you color them with colored pencils. Of course, you can paint with paints, but it is very difficult, without experience, to preserve small details and not "paint over" them. To prevent the leaf from looking lonely, draw a few more, a little smaller, next to it, at the same time give them any shade of autumn colors of falling leaves.

There is no need to observe special "geometry" in the drawing of a birch, the leaves do not need to be carefully drawn, it is only important to draw the trunk and branches correctly so that they do not turn out to be of the same thickness and taper towards the edge.

Tree branches should be evenly spaced along the trunk and stretch upwards towards the sun, and also have many small branches with leaves inside. Leaves on a tree are difficult to draw. Firstly, they must be of a certain shape and, most importantly, there are too many of them.

The painted leaves will look much more "alive" if you draw a ladybug crawling along the leaf. Its size is small and will not distract attention, and bright coloring will give the picture a new color.

To begin with, remember that a rose consists of petals adjacent to each other. This is the biggest difficulty in drawing. In order for the rose to look real, many details must be accurately drawn. Be sure to draw leaves that have a juicy green color, stem and thorns.

A drawing of a camomile, probably, will be able to draw everyone. A few petals, draw leaves, a stem and a picture of a camomile is ready. But for some reason, painted daisies do not always turn out like real ones. The reason is that you start drawing a daisy with petals.

Drawing an apple only at first glance seems to be a simple matter. But this is not so, because in order for the drawing of an apple not to look like an irregularly shaped circle with a tail, the shape of the apple must be voluminous. And in order for the apple to create the effect of freshness, you need to draw leaves or at least one leaf and a few drops of water on them.

From this article you will learn

This tutorial is a great exercise for beginners to understand symmetry and building basics.

Agree, the maple leaf is not a very symmetrical shape, it is difficult to find perfect symmetry in nature. But the two halves are very similar, so we will conditionally designate them as symmetrical. How to use construction to draw symmetrical shapes and how to draw a maple leaf pencil, learn from this lesson. I use photos processed in Photoshop, clearly demonstrating the construction lines. However, remember, they are imaginary, they are formed live by applying a pencil and comparing with the help of an eye.

Construction. Comparing leaf branches using construction lines

Construction is a term that denotes a set of actions aimed at accurately transferring the proportions, the shape of an object depicted from nature onto a sheet of paper. In other words, it helps to portray the subject as it is in nature. Construction lines are displayed temporarily to determine the shape and proportions of the object.

There is no clear guide on how to draw a maple leaf correctly. Any object is depicted by the artist as he feels, understands it. I propose to consider the lesson in detail and step by step to teach you how to disassemble any object into elementary components. This will help in the future to manage the drawing of complex subjects in which it is difficult to understand what and what to relate to. Simply put, the more complex the construction of the simplest form, the easier it will be to deal with the most complex objects. In practice, some steps may be skipped in the future.

First, let's designate the dimensions of the maple, note the height, width, compare these parameters relative to each other. The maple is slightly wider than it is tall.

We mark the middle of the leaflet and the center of symmetry, we find the point from which large processes emerge like a fan.

The maple leaf has five main processes, four on the sides and a fifth at the top. The bottom two are on the same horizontal line as the point we marked earlier.

The tips of the two upper processes are not on the same line. We draw an imaginary horizontal line from the left tip. Note that it is almost the same distance from the top tip as the line through the fan point from the bottom edge.

We draw a fan of processes, with the help of horizontal lines it is easy to compare the angles of inclination of the lines of the fan.

Detailed work details

Now you can draw a maple pattern as similar as possible to the photographed leaf.

We refine the details, draw the contours in more detail

Hatching. Putting tone on a line drawing

Before hatching, remove the construction, clean the flaws with an eraser.

The left half of the leaflet is shaded, the right half is illuminated by a light source. Notice how beautiful the drop shadow is on the left. We cover the entire area with a tone, distribute dark and lighter spots.

We detail the pattern of foliage, draw the veins with an eraser cut at an acute angle.

Before finishing, slightly generalize the veins drawn with an eraser in some places, correct them somewhere with a pencil, and refine the background. Finish off by emphasizing the tips on the light sides and adding contrast to the drop shadow and center.

If you understand the principles of how to draw a maple leaf step by step with a pencil, you will be able to draw the shapes more difficult using a similar method.

Reading time: 3 minutes

Almost without exception, children love to draw, but many parents, because of their own laziness and excuses like “get dirty on their own and smear everything around”, “I can’t draw to show an example of how to do it”, “it’s too small, it’s still full these paints ”do not give the kids brushes and paints, which is a pity ... We hope that our marathon of children's drawings on the autumn theme will inspire everyone, without exception, to be creative. There is plenty to choose from, dear Creators!

We tried to collect for you the most ideas for drawing in order to organize the child’s leisure time more interestingly when it’s time for rains, “dull charm” and sitting at home. Read ideas for things to do at home with your child in bad weather.

Idea #1

You need to put the dried leaves between sheets of paper, and then paint over the sheet with solid strokes using soft colored pencils or crayons. A sheet with all the veins will appear on white paper. Using this method, you can compose compositions: a bouquet in a vase, an autumn landscape, etc.

Idea #2

A similar method, only the leaves need to be waxed (with a candle or white wax crayon), and then covered with watercolor on a sheet of paper. It is convenient to paint over large planes with a wide squirrel brush or foam rubber sponge.

Idea #3

Paint is applied to the sheet from the side of the veins. Then the sheet is applied to paper and an imprint is made. The effect will be different, depending on which paint to use.

You can come up with many compositional solutions: the imprint of a large leaf can become the crown of a tree if you finish drawing the trunk; a few prints - that's a whole forest!

Prints made with white ink on a colored background look spectacular. You can combine several techniques, draw images with pencils or felt-tip pens.

Idea #4

By blowing paint through a straw, you can draw bizarre trees. This method gives you endless possibilities for experimentation! You can, for example, draw trees on a pre-prepared background.

Idea #5

Fill the background yourself with the kid or offer colored cardboard. Let him draw the crown of the tree and fallen leaves, dipping his finger into the paint.

Idea #6

The crown looks voluminous if you make it clear of colored pencils. Spot glue in the right places and sprinkle with small chips. The trunk and branches can be blown through a straw or drawn in any other way.

Idea #7

It is convenient (and completely non-marking) to draw a crown with a cotton swab. In the same way, you can depict a bunch of mountain ash, a sprig of currants or other berries.

Idea #8

A very unusual picture can be made using foil. Lay a dried leaflet (you can have several) on a sheet of cardboard with the veins up. Cover it with thin foil and gently, so as not to tear, smooth it with your fingers so that the pattern shows through. Cover the foil with dark paint (you can use gouache, acrylic, tempera, ink) and let dry well. Scrub the painting very gently with a hard washcloth. The protruding veins of the leaf will shine, and dark paint will remain in the recesses. Now you can frame your work!

Idea #9

Those who love textures will surely enjoy filling various silhouettes with patterns. Draw or circle an autumn leaf according to the template, divide it into small planes, like a stained glass window. Let the child fill in each piece with a different pattern. You can do this with a gel pen, felt-tip pens.

Idea #10

A similar task can be performed using the scratching technique. Paint a sheet of smooth (polished) cardboard with paints and rub with wax (candle). You can use wax crayons to create the background. Cover the surface with black ink and dry. Scratch the drawing with a sharp object.

Idea #11

Using a stiff bristled brush or toothbrush, splatter the paint. This method is suitable for drawing tree crowns, creating compositions based on plant prints.

The leaves of different trees look different, so it is easiest to draw them from nature. But, if winter is outside the window and the leaves have long flown around, then you can use high-quality photographs. To draw tree leaves, you can use an ordinary pencil, but a colored drawing will look much more impressive. With the help of adults, even a small child can understand how to draw leaves.
Before you draw the leaves with a pencil in stages, and then decorate them, you should collect all the essentials:
one). multi-colored pencils;
2). Liner;
3). Eraser;
4).Album sheet;
five). Pencil.

If all those stationery that are listed a little higher are already at hand, then you can start studying the question of how to draw leaves in stages:
1. Making light strokes, outline the outlines of the leaves;
2. Start drawing a bouquet of leaves. In the central part, depict oak branches by drawing leaves of the shape characteristic of this tree and acorns;
3. Draw birch leaves above the oak leaves;
4. Above and below the oak leaves, draw aspen leaves, the teeth of which are somewhat rounded;
5. Draw linden leaves in the middle;
6. Draw a rowan leaf from the edge;
7. From below, depict a ribbon tied with a bow, with the help of which a bouquet of leaves is assembled;
8. Now you understand how to draw leaves with a pencil. But in order for the image to look beautiful and bright enough in the end, it is recommended to colorize it. To do this, first circle the sketch with a liner;
9. Using the eraser, erase the pencil lines;
10. Color the stems brown. And paint over the acorns with green shades, as well as yellow and brown tones;
11. Shade the oak leaves with different shades of green;
12. Color the birch leaves with green and yellow tones;
13. With a yellow and orange pencil, as well as green tones, shade a rowan leaf;
14. Color the linden leaves with different shades of green;
15. With a yellow pencil, as well as green tones, paint over the aspen leaves;
16. Color the ribbon with which the bouquet is tied with a blue and blue pencil.
The leaf image is complete! Now you know how to draw leaves. To color a bouquet of leaves, you can use not only colored pencils, but almost any paint, for example, watercolor or gouache. The main thing is that in the end the image is colorful and spectacular.
