Pencil drawing of angel wings. How to draw a fallen angel with a pencil step by step

15.06.2019

Today I will tell you how to draw an angel in stages with a pencil for beginners, I will immediately say that the drawing will take quite a lot of time and is laborious. You can draw different types of angels, I chose this one, the drawing of an angel is best for beginners or people who have not tried to draw this. Small difficulties may arise when you try to draw an angelic face and wings, by the way, you can make them more if you wish, but I kept the correct proportions.

As usual, I will describe each of the steps and try to explain each action. I hope you can repeat. Let's get started.

At the beginning draws something similar to a flower. The ball is on a stick and inside the ball are two horizontal lines. The ball is the future head, an elongated vertical line with a bend is necessary for the correct proportions of the whole body, we will be guided by it. And two horizontal lines will be needed in the future for the mouth. This step is very simple.

Now it will be a little more difficult. We do a hairstyle, we make a bang on the forehead with cloves. And below the head we begin to depict the body, we will make the sleeves, they should not be the same size.

Next, you immediately need to make heaps that peek out from under the clothes. And one more important point, we depict the wings, they are not large, since the angel drawn with a pencil is still too small for us, i.e. not an adult.

This step is also not difficult, but responsible. Firstly, we make a beautiful dress for the angel, it was not in vain that we initially drew an arc, and so we are guided by it. Secondly, a very important point in drawing a halo, it should not be bulky and not small, the location should be right above your head.

And the final one of the most important steps. On the face we draw cute eyes, a nose and a beautiful mouth, we do everything in stages. We focus on two horizontal lines.
Now erase unnecessary lines with an eraser. On the head, the most important thing is to correct the hair on the left, we also erase the vertical line that we did at the beginning.
We direct all the lines with a pencil and that's it, the drawing is finished.

Now you know how to draw an angel in stages with a pencil for beginners, and I once again practiced how to draw it. I hope you will not have global questions and you understand everything from the explanation, as well as pictures. Practice drawing and we will definitely succeed, try to draw.

Angels are unique beings. They were painted by ancient artists, music was composed about them. Few people have seen them, but almost everyone is convinced that they exist. And almost everyone agrees that they look like people, only ethereal, reminiscent of the radiance of light and with huge wings. Their goal is to protect, protect each person from troubles and dangers, comfort him in sorrow. Let's try to portray an angel as many people imagine it, we'll try to draw an angel with a pencil.

Take a white sheet of A4 paper or a sheet from a sketchbook, two simple graphite pencils - HB and 6-8B hardness, a soft eraser. First we need to mentally imagine what kind of angel we want to draw? After all, everyone sees it differently. For some, this is a small charming child, for someone - a beautiful woman or a brave warrior with a sword. In this lesson we will draw an angel - a sweet fragile and even a little shy girl.

  1. We outline the approximate figure of an angel, his pose. Since we will draw it like a person, we will try to observe all proportions as when building a human body. If you still don’t know how to do this, then remember to start with one simple rule - the height of an adult is calculated in this way: the length of a person’s face from the chin to the top of the head should “fit” into the length of the figure about eight times. We schematically draw the spine, shoulders, hips, dots indicate the places of folds. Notice how the whole figure is tilted. The angel takes a step forward and one leg will appear visually shorter to us, so the left thigh will be slightly raised. N.B. If you seriously decide to take up drawing, then it is worth getting a small wooden model of a human figure to draw its movements - when walking, running, when a person sits or stands on one leg. You will immediately see how all parts of the body move - arms, legs, shoulders, hips, feet, how the head will be tilted. Even if you draw a person in loose clothing hiding the body, be sure to draw his "skeleton" first. Otherwise, drawing only clothes at once, you can miss the proportions and make a lot of mistakes.

  2. Now we outline the robe of an angel. It will be spacious, light, made of flowing fabric. Pay attention to how wide and smooth the folds of his dress are, which means that the fabric is dense and flexible like silk. If the folds were small, then this would indicate that the fabric is very thin and light. Take a closer look at how the fabric goes around the hand, at what angle it lays down and bends from movement.

  3. We draw hair, a neck, hands and we outline wings. The neck does not start from the chin, it continues higher towards the back of the head. Go to the mirror, turn your head and observe what dimples and bulges appear. Hands can be depicted more generally, not detailed, if it is difficult to draw. Angel's hair is soft, wavy, long. They twist and flutter in the wind. We emphasize wavy hair with the direction of shading and shadows.

  4. We draw large angel wings, draw feathers in more detail and do not forget that each feather “overlaps” the neighboring one a little, overlaps it a little. Look at the wing of any bird, and you will notice that at the very top, where the bone is, there are the smallest feathers, like scales. In the middle of the wing, they become larger and at the edges the longest, widest and stiffest feathers, allowing birds to easily soar in the air.

  5. We draw the face. The eyes of the angel will be lowered, the head is slightly tilted to the side. I make an allowance for the fact that you have not studied anatomy, so just remember a few basic rules for building a face:
    • a vertical line along the face is drawn in order to show the tilt of the head and where the nose will be located;
    • the line that bisects the face horizontally will determine where the tip of the person's nose is. Since the face of an angel is tilted forward, according to the laws of perspective, the upper part of the face will be larger than the lower one. Therefore, we draw a horizontal line a little lower;
    • the area from the tip of the nose to the chin is also divided in half horizontally, and this line will indicate where the lower lip ends;
    • we divide the distance from the edge of the hair on the forehead to the tip of the nose in half and the eyes of the angel will be located on this horizontal line;
    • to indicate the ears, mentally draw a horizontal line from the tip of the nose to the back of the head. The earlobe will be located on this line. To determine the upper point of the ear, you need to mentally draw the same horizontal line from the upper edge of the eye towards the back of the head;
    • the head is not drawn round, the face will rather resemble an oval, an "egg" with a sharp end down.

  6. Let's designate the darkest places, shadows. Since in black and white graphics the “color” can only be shown in tone (lighter-darker), in order to highlight the angel’s attire, we darken its wings a little. Thus, the figure of an angel will come to the fore and become more voluminous and brighter. Mark the places of the shadows on the fabric and pay attention to how the hatching lies - in the direction of the fabric. Add volume to the angel's hair, draw his gentle curls. In the light, they will glare a little, so we can leave unpainted areas, just a blank sheet of paper. We denote the falling shadows from the fabric on the feet.

  7. Let's get to the details. Gently erase all the auxiliary lines on the face and figure of the angel with an eraser. Try not to blur the drawing. A black graphite pencil stains paper very easily and then it is difficult to remove ugly stains. We sharpen the softest pencil sharper and draw small details - eyes, nose, mouth, thin hair. We draw the feathers on the wings more clearly. No need to try to draw each feather separately. It is necessary that the wing be recognizable and for this it is enough to depict the feathers with such openwork loops.

    Such a “loop” is drawn with one movement of the pencil, practice on a separate piece of paper. First, we draw a thin line - we increase the pressure - the strongest pressure and again in descending order. We draw all this without lifting the pencil from the sheet of paper. The main thing is to show the texture of the wing, how the feathers lie. In our drawing, the wings of an angel are not the most important, so it makes no sense to carefully draw each small feather. To show volume, we strengthen the shadow under each row of feathers, the wings will become even more voluminous. At the bottom, the edges of the wings will be clearly defined. If the figure of an angel were on a dark background, then the edges of the wings should be left perfectly white for greater contrast.
    See how feathers are drawn without detailed drawing - only in tone, in a smooth transition. Somewhere the pressure of the pencil is strong, dark, somewhere lighter or completely absent. Thus, we create the effect of volume, density of the material - in our case, feathers.
  8. Do not forget about the shining halo above the angel's head. We draw it with the last and, practically, a hint. After all, this is light, it is very light, weightless, we will show it only with rays, this will be enough. In our simple drawing, this will be graphically and the lightest, almost white spot above the head of the figure. In order to highlight the halo, there is a little secret: take a small piece of paper and carefully sketch a small part (as if sharpening a pencil on paper). Then carefully go over the drawing near the figure of an angel with this sketched piece. Shade the background around a bit. Go through the halo with an eraser to make it as white as possible. We squint, see how the figure of an angel stands out remarkably against the background of textured, powerful wings, how light, graceful, almost airy it is. Since this is a girl, we can draw a modest decoration around her neck, literally outline it lightly, with dots.

The Guardian Angel gently and inaudibly steps on the ground with bare feet, he directs, prompts and protects. Try to draw an angel with a pencil, exactly your angel as you imagine it. We analyze how to draw an angel with a pencil step by step

For small children or certain circumstances, a simple schematic drawing will be ideal. For example, if this is a design project for decorating a room for a celebration and you need to indicate the location of the angel. So, this task is feasible in five steps.

  • Stage 1. On a sheet of paper, draw a circle that will serve as the face of an angel. Then we detail it a little, marking the eyes with bold dots, and draw a mouth. And what about without a halo? We draw it with a small oval above the circle-head.

  • Stage 2. Now the angel needs to be dressed. To do this, we draw two lines and connect them at the bottom with a semicircle.

  • Stage 3. To further humanize our picture, draw the arms and legs. Just as schematically as the rest of the details.

  • Stage 4. The turn of fairy wings has come. Focusing on the picture, draw them behind the back of our spiritual man.

The task "how to draw an angel" cannot be considered complete if we do not color the picture. Traditionally, the halo is painted yellow, and the robe is white. But you can experiment. Even make some interesting pattern on the angel's clothes. Ready!

After all, sometimes, having depicted wings alone, the whole idea of the picture becomes clear.

Answering the question of how to draw an angel, or rather the wings of an angel, below is a step-by-step plan and a schematic drawing. Let's start with what you need with a pencil and a ruler to draw three shapes of different shapes and directions.

At their core, these will be quadrangles, and they should be connected to each other.

Then you need to draw two parallel lines inside the resulting frame.

Now you can start drawing the first layer of feathers.

When drawing the second layer of feathers, the curved lines should be longer than the first time. For clarity, see the figure.

The longest curves will represent the third layer of feathers.

It's the eraser's turn. With it, we remove all auxiliary lines. When the drawing is ready, the contours should be drawn with pencils or a pen to give them clarity.

If there is a need to image the second wing, then it is drawn in a mirror image.

The final step will be the coloring of the wings of the angel in the desired color.

Let's summarize the knowledge gained on how to draw an angel with a pencil step by step. Now you know how to portray a simple angel with a halo over her head and in a spacious robe. If you draw his facial features in detail and add wings with feathers, then the image will be more artistic and authorial.

In this lesson, we will learn how to draw an angel with a pencil. I was looking for a suitable lesson in RuNet, but I found only a few primitive pictures that for some reason I did not want to draw. I had to look for painted pictures of angels on my own. One cute girl with wings caught my eye. She looked like a sweet little angel to me. That's what I decided to draw.

How to draw an angel with a pencil step by step:

Step one. Let's create a sketch of the future angel. We draw a circle for the head, from below a line that indicates the neck. The line of the shoulders should not be straight, but slightly curved, and the left part is lowered. The plexus of hands is indicated by two lines. We don’t touch the lower part yet, but outline the position of the legs and skirt.
Step two. On the head we schematically draw hair. We draw the neck, the shoulder lines should be rounded. Shape your chest like a little mermaid. Erase the lines that indicated the position of the hands and make the shape of the hands. Note that her right hand is not fully visible. Next we move on to dress drawing.
Step three. An angel needs wings. Our girl will be in anime style. That's why it has four wings. Draw the shape of the wings as shown in the picture. Let's move on to the bottom of the picture. Make folds on the dress and finish the legs.
Step four. Smoothly proceed to the detailing of the picture. We draw eyes, a nose and lips.
Step five. We erase the auxiliary lines on the girl's body. Outline the contours of the dress. Let's add some strokes on the wings. They look like swan wings. About, how to draw angel wings with a pencil we'll look at it in more detail in the next lesson.
Step last. Let's work on the unsuccessful elements of the picture with an eraser, and erase the auxiliary lines. We outline the contours. We draw anime-style eyes and a hairstyle, as if a light breeze is blowing. This will give a cute look to our angel. And finally, we decorate. I filmed the coloring process in Photoshop. That's all. I had to spend about four hours on this lesson. How much can you draw an angel for? Write your answers in the comments and show your work.
