How to understand the streets of the resort town Pattaya?

Navigate to Pattaya quite easy, even at first - everything is intuitive and simple here. The locals are very friendly, always ready to help - you are unlikely to get lost. The article discusses the main streets of the city, and presents a Detailed Map of Pattaya in Russian.

In Pattaya, at almost every step - close to shops, travel agencies, hotels, you can take a free map of the city in Russian. Take several different cards - not all of them are of high quality and informative enough - but one can compensate for the shortcomings of the other.

We will understand the main streets of the resort town Pattaya.

Three main streets of Pattaya:

  • Pattaya Beach Road- from the name it is clear that this is a street that runs along the main beach of Pattaya. The southern part of this street is the famous nightlife center of Walking Street.
  • Pattaya Second Road, in the Thai version the name sounds like Pattaya Sai Song (Pattaya Sai Song). When communicating with taxi drivers and locals, we recommend using the Thai version of the name.
  • Pattaya Third Road, or Sai Sami in Thai.

Girls on Pattaya Beach Road - Pattaya Beach Road

walking street- this section of Pattaya Beach Road, which starts from South Pattaya Road and ends at Bali Hai Pier. Traffic here is closed from 18:00 to 02:00. Volkin Street- this is perhaps the most famous place in Pattaya, a large number of bars, restaurants, go-go, nightclubs and shops are concentrated here.

Volkin Street - Pattaya. Walking Street Pattaya

Pattaya Second Road originates on the north side of the city in the Naklua (Naklua) area from the Dolphin Roundabout road junction, and changes its name to Pratanmak Road in the South Street area of Pattaya. A few hundred meters south and Pratanmak Road connects with another street - Thappraya Road. Both streets run along Pratanmak hill and are the main links between South Pattaya and Jomtien area.

Hilton Hotel and Shopping Center - Central Festival in Pattaya

Pattaya has three more main roads running from east to west. They cross the above streets and connect the highway Sukhumvit(Sukhumvit Road) and Beach Road(Pattaya Beach Road):

  • North Pattaya Road- northern road, or in Thai it sounds like Pattaya Nua (Pattaya Nua)
  • Central Pattaya Road- the central street, known as Pattaya Klang (Pattaya Klang)
  • South Pattaya Road or Pattaya Tai

The longest road in the world passes through Pattaya - Sukhumvit

Sukhumvit Road– this road was included in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest road in the world – its length is over 400 km! It connects many cities and towns with the capital of Thailand - Bangkok. The road passes through the whole of Pattaya. Along Sukhumvit there are bus stations from which you can go to Bangkok and other regions of Thailand, and to neighboring Cambodia.

The main streets of Pattaya are interconnected by small numbered lanes - Soyki (Soi - Thai.). Some Soi bear the names of hotels or institutions located on them.

Street of bars and nightlife - Soi Bukyao

One of the longest and most famous Soi - Soi Buquiao(Soi Bukhao), the center of nightlife with many bars, restaurants, beauty salons, massage and hotels. Soi Buquiao located between second road and third road, and connects the streets Pattaya Klang and Pattaya Thai.

The Jomtien Beach area lies a few kilometers south of Pattaya. You can get there in 10 minutes by local transport - tuk-tuk, the fare is 10-20 baht. Take a tuk-tuk at the intersection of South Pattaya Road and Second Pattaya Road. The price can be more expensive if you take a tuk-tuk from Bali Hai Pier - there the price is usually twice as high.

Jomtien Beach Road - Pattaya

It will not be difficult to understand the terrain of the Jomtien area - there are only two main streets Jomtien Beach Road and Jomtien Second Road(connecting Thappraya Road to the southern parts of Jomtien).

Jomtien Beach Road is the main route for tuk tuks to central Pattaya, and has two exits on the Sukhumvit highway, through Soi Wat Boon and Soi Chaiyapruek.

Construction Jomtien Second Road was completed only in 2015, and at the moment the road is used only by local residents with personal transport. There are no tourist routes here yet.

Mini Siam Park

This is one of the most fascinating places in Pattaya, where most of the famous sights of the world and Thailand are located, presented in the form of small miniatures. On a scale of 1:25, hundreds of monuments of the world's greatest architecture are presented.

Thematic areas of the park, which are definitely worth a visit:

  1. A collection dedicated to Thailand itself. It is considered the ancestor of the entire park and was created more than 20 years ago.

Temple of Truth

An impeccable panorama of the sea coast, exotic nature, a sense of purity and tranquility - this is how you can characterize the location of one of the famous temples of Pattaya.

For more than 30 years, local residents of the city have been building the Temple of Truth, and all because they build it without using nails. At least that's what the legend says. The Thais claim that construction will be completed in 2026, but skeptics and tourists who have already visited this religious place are convinced of the opposite. The temple is already beginning to gradually collapse and requires restoration.

The Temple of Truth, according to the ideas of the architect and the owner of the idea, is a kind of home of religions and cultures of all the neighboring countries of Thailand, including China, Cambodia and India. The structure rises almost 110 meters above the ground and is decorated with carved wooden ornaments that are dedicated to various religious heroes and mythology.

The most convenient and fastest way to get to the temple is by taxi, which will bring you directly to Cape Rachvat. It is here that the Temple of Truth is being built. The cost of tickets to visit is quite high - 500 baht, and for children - 250 baht. You can visit this temple daily from 7 am to 7 pm.

Million Years Stone Park

At a distance of 9 kilometers from Pattaya, there is another fascinating place that you must definitely visit -. This attraction also includes:

  • landscape park;
  • reserve;
  • paleontological center and museum;
  • zoo.

The most convenient way to visit this place is to buy an excursion at any Pattaya travel agency. You can also get to the garden by taxi, the cost of the trip can be up to 400 baht.

The park of ancient stones is open for its visitors seven days a week from 8 am to 6:30 pm. Entrance ticket price for an adult is 500 baht, for children - 300 baht. For an additional cost, you can take pictures with animals, take an individual or group tour, feed elephants or crocodiles.

Oceanarium

The aquarium called Underwater World Pattaya is located in the central part of Pattaya on Sukhumvit Street. In the immediate vicinity of it, two large shopping centers of the city were built - Tesco Lotus and Kwitlet Mall.

In the aquarium you can see a wide variety of marine animals, which includes more than 200 representatives of the oceans. Sharks, rays, piranhas, Amazonian fish, sea turtles, rare and endangered species of fish - all this can be seen within the walls of the aquarium.

The highlight is the recreation of the atmosphere of the bottom of the Gulf of Thailand. Visitors are allowed to touch marine animals such as stingray, starfish and urchin.

Every day, the aquarium opens its doors to visitors at 9 am and closes at 6 pm. For vacationers with children, this is an ideal place for an informative and exciting pastime. The cost of a ticket to the aquarium is 500 baht, and for children under the age of 7 it is only 300 baht.

A distinctive feature of this most popular zoo in Thailand is the habitat of animals in natural conditions, without cages. At the Khao Kheo Zoo, you can see and pet more than 100 species of exotic animals: deer, porcupines, giraffes, rhinos, monkeys, gibbons, hippos and many more amazing animals.

Khao Kheo is one of the largest zoos in the world, as it has a huge area for keeping its pets - more than 800 hectares of free land.

In addition, the zoo did not stop at just displaying exotic animals. On its territory, fascinating performances are held daily with the inhabitants of Khao Kheo, and there is also a scientific division that is engaged in the study and observation of endangered species of the animal world.

Khao Kheo Zoo is open every day from 8 am to 6 pm, but even this time is not enough to see and touch all its inhabitants. Since the zoo is located 60 kilometers from Pattaya, it is most convenient to get to it by rented car. Travel time will be approximately 50 minutes. If you don’t have your own transport, it’s most profitable to buy a sightseeing tour in Pattaya to the zoo - the price is in the range of 800-1000 baht.

The cost of the entrance ticket for all categories of citizens is the same and is 300 baht, but this price already includes an exciting jungle safari and a visit to the show with the participation of zoo pets.

Most tourists are convinced that Nong Nooch is just an ordinary botanical garden, which presents exotic and tropical plants. But how wrong they are, because even one day is not enough to see all the interesting objects of the garden. In Nong Nooch you can see:

  1. A huge car park of the most exclusive and expensive cars, which are represented by more than 50 pieces.
  2. Huge and captivating sculptures are installed throughout the 250 hectares of the garden, which are made from corn and flower pots.
  3. The park is equal to the area of more than 300 football fields, there is also a garden of huge stones, and a special area with entertainment shows for guests of Nong Nooch.
  4. Collections of cacti, palm trees, tropical butterflies and orchids are simply mesmerizing with their beauty and species diversity.

The cheapest way to get to the garden is by tuk-tuk, which stops on Sukhumvit Road near the turnoff to Nong Nooch. Then you need to walk on foot, but no more than 20 minutes. The cost of the trip will be only 20 baht.

The entrance ticket price is 500 baht, but children under the age of 2 can visit it for free. The garden is open every day from 8:00 to 17:00.

Every day, not far from the statue of the Big Buddha, an observation deck on Pratumnak Hill is open to the public. Working hours from 7 am to 10 pm. Entrance is absolutely free, but through travel agencies you can arrange an individual or group tour.

It is from this observation deck that you can take the most beautiful photos against the backdrop of the resort town, because every corner of Pattaya is visible from it. A particularly bewitching panorama in the evening hours, when the dark city is decorated with lanterns and other lighting fixtures.

The observation deck is not located here by chance. Pratumnak Mountain is the highest point in Pattaya, where the city's television tower is also built. In addition, near the site there is another holy place for local residents - a monument to Admiral Krom, who founded the national navy.

Another Buddhist temple in Pattaya, Wat Khao Phra Bat, was built on the territory of the observation deck. Here you can take photos at the Buddha statue or have a blessing ceremony with a local monk.

Wat Yan Temple

The full name of the temple complex sounds like Wat Yansangwararam, but for ease of pronunciation, it is simply abbreviated to Wat Yan. Around the territory of the temple is insanely beautiful, a lot of greenery, well-groomed paths, fountains, flower beds and a pond.

The main shrine of this attraction is the imprint or cast of the Buddha's foot. To get to the imprint, you need to climb the hill, to which 300 steps lead from the temple. Climbing up, you will see not only a religious value, but also an amazing view.

Wat Yan temple receives visitors all year round and every day. The temple is open from 8:00 to 16:00, visiting the temple is free. You will have to pay only for lifting to the Buddha's trail - 50 baht.

Rock of the Golden Buddha

At a distance of several kilometers from the Wat Yan temple, there is another attraction of Pattaya - the rock of the Golden Buddha. The rock is lined with golden slabs that repeat the outline of the silhouette of the Buddha during the statue.

An interesting fact is the size of the Buddha image. It is considered the largest in the world. The height of the golden display is more than 100 meters, and the width is almost 70 m. The date of creation of the image falls on 1996, when it was the fiftieth anniversary of the reign of King Rama 4 in Thailand.

The temple and rock can only be reached by taxi or by using your own car, as they are located at a distance of 20 kilometers from Pattaya, where public transport does not go. The cost of the trip varies from ordinary taxi drivers and tuk-tuk drivers from 300 to 500 baht.

It can also be bought in a specialized store, along with a guide to Thailand. The last option seems to be the most logical, but it is the wrong opinion. It's not worth spending baht on something that you can get for free. Below are options for acquiring site plans that won't blow a hole in your budget.

  1. Free Russified maps of Pattaya at the hotel reception. They are always on the counters at the entrance to the hotel, along with promotional products of travel agencies, diving schools, and transport companies. You can safely go to any hotel, and do not hesitate to take these printing products, even if you are not a guest and are not going to be settled. Your hands will not be taken.
  2. Free maps at the entrances to supermarkets. Already in you can get acquainted with the popular network outlets Family Mart and Seven Eleven, and in cities and towns they are found everywhere. In addition to text brochures, there are also maps that indicate the location of shopping centers, hotels, and other tourist infrastructure facilities. All of them are free and contain a lot of additional interesting information.
  3. Distribution of promotional items. If you ran past the stands at the entrance to, then you should not go back. Some smiling secret woman with a pack of the same advertising spam will be found at the cash registers. Do not shy away from them, as you do, for example, in Moscow. Take everything she offers and use free cards, which will most likely be Russified.

Map of Pattaya in Russian- this is something that no traveler can do without who has visited the famous resort of Thailand for the first time, as well as all those who are just planning their vacation in Pattaya and want to know in advance where the hotel they have chosen is located, what shops and shopping centers are nearby. The selection of maps of Pattaya in Russian with hotels presented on this site will allow even a tourist who does not know foreign languages to see how far from the sea the area of \u200b\u200bresidence he has chosen is located, which main streets that can be navigated on the spot pass nearby.

The presence of a high-resolution map of Pattaya is also of great importance due to the fact that the Thais themselves are rather poorly oriented on maps. Therefore, in most cases, when a person needs to get to some point in Pattaya, especially when the vocabulary of English words is low, he can only rely on himself. Even if you plan to stay in a small hotel that is not marked on the map, there is always a landmark nearby, with which it is easy to find the way to your hotel or ask locals or vacationers for directions.

There are no maps of Pattaya in Russian on the site, which were first posted on the Internet many years ago and replicated many times on large and small sites. Below I post only those maps that I personally scanned from the originals “obtained” directly during my last trips to Pattaya.

1. Map of Pattaya with hotels in Russian 6896*5016 px (clickable)

The above map of Pattaya in Russian contains information about the main streets of the city (for convenience, they are marked in Russian and English), along which the main transport links in the city are organized. The map includes the entire territory of Pattaya, from the Naklua area in the north, to the end of the Jomtien coast, in the south. Unlike the position familiar to many, in which the map is traditionally turned to the cardinal points in such a way that the north is at the top, this Pattaya map with hotels in Russian turned north to the left, and the view of the city is from the sea, i.e. from the west.

In addition to the main Pattaya hotels marked on this map, which can be convenient to navigate, a number of other objects are marked, the knowledge of which location will not be superfluous to any independent or organized tourist. Thus, the specified map includes such objects as recommended restaurants, popular discos and bars, medical facilities, police stations, tour desks, bus stations, markets and shopping centers. The map was scanned at a resolution of 600 ppi, so even at maximum magnification it does not lose clarity and detail.

With the help of this map of Pattaya with hotels, which are signed in English for convenience (exactly as indicated on the facades of buildings), you can easily imagine what is the distance to the sea and one of the beaches of Pattaya, the easiest way to get to Bali Hai Pier, from where the most convenient way is by speedboat or ferry. At the end of this article, I will reveal the secret of how easy it is to get the original of this card and all the cards below directly in Pattaya.

2. Map of Pattaya in Russian "For blondes" (clickable)

By the name of this map of Pattaya in Russian, I in no way wanted to offend the owners of blond hair. The specified name was not invented by me: it is written on the front side of the original of this card. I suppose that in this way the creators of the map wanted to convey the main advantage of this map of Pattaya with hotels and other useful objects: its simplicity and intuitiveness. To be honest, this card is not without some shortcomings, but I usually took it with me due to its rather compact size, along with high information content.

The map shows the main city streets and lanes of Pattaya, all shopping centers and supermarkets, many Seven Eleven stores popular with tourists and locals, pharmacies, discos and, of course, many hotels are indicated on the map. The advantage of this card is that it contains some promotional information that you can use for your own purposes. So, a number of shopping centers, souvenir shops and specialized factories provide a free taxi to travel to them. At the same time, no one will force you to buy their products. Therefore, living in a hotel on the outskirts of Pattaya with not very good transport links, you can use the specified transfer option for your own purposes 🙂

Also, this map of Pattaya in Russian is convenient in that it contains information about the time of departure of ferries to the island of Koh Lan. Take this map with you and you will always have an up-to-date ferry timetable in both directions at hand (at least until you remember it). The map is also convenient in that it schematically indicates the approximate location of some of the main attractions of Pattaya, located outside the city limits (to the east of the main highway of the country Sukhumvit).

3. Detailed map of Pattaya in Russian (9337*4825 px), 16.7 Mb

Like the first two of the maps presented on this page, this map (the image is clickable) also has a view from the sea, i.e. from west to east when viewed from the bottom up. A distinctive feature of this map is its highest detail: even the smallest streets and lanes are marked on the map (although not all of them are signed). The presence of marked small streets allows you to better navigate the terrain: you always know exactly how many intersections you need to go through to get to the right point in the city. The card was a gift from the famous Lukdod gift shop.

With this map of Pattaya in Russian in high resolution, you can accurately imagine where a particular hotel, lane, shopping center, police station, nearest bank branch, as well as the main attractions of the city are located. The map shows city beaches, viewing platforms, the largest stores of the Seven Eleven chain, fruit markets and bus stations. Due to the large area of the original of this map of Pattaya, I had to scan it in parts and combine individual fragments into one. As a result, in some places the clarity of the image has decreased somewhat, but everything is clear in principle. If I have free time, I will try to scan the map again and try to achieve a better result.

4. Map of Pattaya in Russian with tuk-tuk routes

A very informative map, which shows areas of the city, useful phone numbers and addresses in Pattaya, ferry schedules to Koh Lan and back, the main city beaches and attractions. The main value of this map lies in the presence of public transport routes marked on it - songteo, with the help of which it is easy and inexpensive to get from one area of the city to another. I posted detailed information about tuk-tuk routes and the rules for their use in the article. I advise you to read it if you are not yet familiar with this transport - save a lot of time, effort and money when relaxing in a resort.

5. Map of Pattaya in Russian with hotels (resolution 4000x2840 px)

Another large map of Pattaya, which shows most of the resort's hotels and large condominiums. The map was issued in early 2014, so the information contained in it is as up-to-date as possible. A distinctive feature of this maps of Pattaya in Russian with hotels is a color designation of the main areas of the city, the largest stores of the popular Seven Eleven (7/11) and Family Mart chains, large shopping centers, markets and hypermarkets. ATMs in Pattaya are also indicated (although there are much more of them in the city than on this map), individual city attractions and interesting tourist places to visit. The map has been scanned in high resolution, so if your internet connection is slow, it may take some time to open it in full size. Like all cards posted on the site, this one can also be obtained at the resort for free, using the tips described below.

How to get the original map of Pattaya in Russian

To begin with, I’ll tell you why the original map is needed at all. In addition to their main purpose, the original free maps have great functionality. Many maps of Pattaya contain information about transport on the reverse side, describe Thai cuisine, describe Thai fruits with photos of the latest (you can cross out those that you have already tried or mark the ones you like the most). More and more cards in Russian today contain mini-phrase books that allow you to quickly memorize a few useful phrases in Thai. The easiest, but unjustified option is to purchase a map in a specialized store, separately or inside a Thailand guide. However, I immediately dismiss this option as unnecessary, because all the cards posted here and some others are freely available. I will list the most popular options:

1. Free maps of Pattaya in Russian in the hotels of the city. Many hotels in Pattaya offer their guests free maps of the city, which can be easily taken at the reception upon check-in. By the way, if you went to the first hotel you came across in order to find out the cost of living and the availability of rooms and noticed that there is a special counter with cards and various advertising information, you can safely take a card even if in the end you don’t live in this hotel going.

2. Free maps of Pattaya on the streets of the city. Arriving in Thailand, even at the airport you will most likely see several stores belonging to the Seven Eleven and Family Mart chains. Later, in Bangkok, Pattaya and other resorts, these stores will be found everywhere. So, if you look closely, in front of some of these stores, right on the street, there are stands where you can take any card you like for free. As a rule, these cards are paid by advertisers, so you can find a lot of ads inside (often useful), but a lot of advertising does not reduce the value of such cards in any way, and after looking at a few, you will always find the map of Pattaya in Russian that will seem to you as convenient and informative as possible. .

3. Maps of Pattaya in Russian on distributions. When visiting markets and large shopping malls, you are likely to run into people (both Thais and Farangs) at the entrance who distribute various leaflets and free maps of Pattaya in Russian and other languages. Most of the cards are offered in Russian, so you can safely take a copy for your collection (if you don’t already have one). The cards are distributed free of charge, and the dealer will even be grateful that you take one of the cards and free him from a heavy burden, while helping him to fulfill the distribution plan and thus help earn a few baht.

I hope the cards above and the practical tips for obtaining their originals have been helpful to you. If you know of other ways to get Pattaya map in Russian, unsubscribe in the comments. I promise that in the near future I will post several more detailed maps of Pattaya with hotels on the site when I have time to scan them. I also remind you that the service, which can be accessed via the link, will allow you to explore the city not only "from a bird's eye view", as it happens with the help of maps, but also in three-dimensional space using detailed panoramic photographs. I advise everyone!

The names of the best hotel complexes and resorts on each of these beaches can be found on the diagrams below.

Another good Pattaya scheme with hotels, shops and hospitals in the center and north of the city. There is no Jomtien district on it.

And another option with shops and shopping centers:

Two more maps showing beaches and good hotels in Pattaya:

Map with hotels in the center of Pattaya

The center of Pattaya is an area bounded by the streets: North, South, Beach (Beach Road) and Third. This part of the city has the highest concentration of hotels - there are hundreds of them. But there is not one located directly on the beach - a busy road separates the hotel from the sea. But by and large, the lack of hotels on the first line is not a problem, because. The sea here is dirty and almost no one bathes in it. This area is chosen only for its convenient location.

Cheap hotels in the center of Pattaya

Here are 16 budget hotels (1-3 stars) located in the central part of the city.

In general, cheap housing in the center is found at every turn, but in 9 cases out of 10 cheap hotels are dirty dens where rooms for sex services are rented. Good, decent hotels from this map are described here:

North Pattaya hotel map (Naklua, Wongamat)

Naklua (or Naklua) is a district in the north of Pattaya. There are two beaches here - Wong Amat and Palm Beach. They are much cleaner and nicer than the central city beach. There are a lot of Russian and Russian-speaking tourists in this part of the city - signs in Russian are everywhere on the streets. It is quieter and calmer here than in the center. Naklua is also well suited for family holidays - prostitutes are unlikely to catch the eye of a child here.

The map shows 17 recommended hotels in the area of Wongamat and Palm Beach. You can read about some of them (Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort, Pullman Pattaya Hotel G, Dusit Thani Pattaya, Cape Dara Resort, Woodlands Hotel & Resort, Pavilion Long Beach, The Zign Hotel) here:

Map with hotels in South Pattaya

The area located south of the center, behind the hill with the Big Buddha and the inscription PATTAYA, is called Pratamnak (Phra Tamnak). There are two good beaches here - Pratumnak and Kozi Beach, an old and dilapidated water park (Pattaya Park), as well as a market, which is called Russian because of the abundance of buyers from the CIS countries. Pratumnak can be recommended for a relaxing, romantic or family holiday.

The most popular hotel among Russian tourists in this part of Pattaya is Cozy Beach, and the most comfortable (and perhaps the best in the city) is Royal Cliff. More about it here:

Map of Jomtien with hotels

Jomtien and Na Jomtien are the southern outskirts of Pattaya. The beach here is narrow, located right next to the road, but the water in the sea is much cleaner than in the city center. The area is quite lively and equipped - everything a tourist needs can be found within walking distance.

The map above shows only some of the hotels, in fact there are many in the area. More details about hotels and guest houses in Jomtien can be found on this map and in the article to it:

The southernmost point of Pattaya is Na Jomtien. He is unpopular. The revival is felt only around the Ambassador Hotel, which, probably, can be called the most "Russian" in the city.
