What flowers have we already painted:

  1. - I did pretty well, I recommend to look;
  2. - the lesson is difficult, and not everyone can do it

Try to draw them all! And today, at the request of our reader Dmitry Istomin, we will study, how to draw a vase of flowers with a pencil. Here's what should happen: So, let's start.

How to draw a vase of flowers with a pencil

Step one. We draw the outline of the vase. First, a circle in the center of the sheet. Leave a place on top to place the neck of the vessel and the flowers themselves. Step two. Now let's imagine that our circle is a ball similar to Smesharik Krosh, only without ears, we need to place a cylinder on top. Let's draw from our ball up its edges. And then draw the upper and lower bases of the neck. It is clear that we do not see the lower base, but for now we will leave all our auxiliary lines. Step three. Now let's show how flower stems stick out from the neck of our vase in different directions. Some are shorter, some are longer, some are more curved and some are straighter. Next, draw the outline and shape of the bud. It can be any flowers: irises, carnations or poppies. In our example, . Step four. We carefully look at the picture. Now we need to shape the vase. At the same time, we circle our circle, show the neck and the horizontal base. Step five. Now responsibly draw the flower itself. We already had. I suggest that you carefully look at it in order to beautifully draw the petals of a tulip. The buds will be collected. Step six. Well, we got the base. It is necessary to carefully erase the invisible auxiliary lines. Now you can color. We will try to color the vase, drawing lines along its contour to emphasize the shape and add volume. Consider the drawing carefully: the left side is darker, and the right side is lighter, since light falls from this side. The transition must be gradual. There are darker lines at the base of the vase itself and at the neck. We will also draw them along the contour, continuing the shape of the vase. And it remains to paint the flowers themselves. Take a pencil and make a simple sketch. Don't worry if one side is crooked. In this example, the curved side is a vase chip :)

Stage 2
We paint flowers.

Stage 3

Stage 4
Erase the pencil lines with an eraser and draw the drawing.

What is a vase?

Now let's go over the theory a little, and then proceed to more serious examples.

A vase is a cylinder and differs from a cylinder only in that one or another part of it is wider or narrower. You should always keep this in mind when drawing her.

We recommend that you learn to draw objects that are new to you from nature, so you will better absorb the material. We also recommend that you do not spare the pencil and make more auxiliary figures, in the case of a vase, these are rings as in the picture below.

Its types and forms

This item has a wide variety of shapes. You can walk through any museum or shop and see that they are all different. Thick, narrow, small big and so on.

Turn on your imagination and draw them in the form of a triangle or square :)

Video tutorial showing drawing an unusual shape.

Do not forget that they are transparent and the flower stalk can be seen.

pencil drawing example

So let's start with a sketch. Try to make it symmetrical.

We carry rings for our convenience.

The sketch is ready, great! It's time to detail, so drawing three flowers. You can draw a whole bouquet or just one flower.

Pay attention to the vertical lines running across the entire area of the vase. Yes, we have it not perfectly round, but with sharp edges. Therefore, the shades of chiaroscuro will change dramatically.

We draw a shadow and highlights on the flowers. You can put a blank piece of paper under your arm so you don't accidentally smear the drawing.

The drawing is ready!

How to draw a vase with flowers in watercolor

We came to a very interesting thing, to drawings with paints! Let's start with a still life in watercolor.

We make a sketch, it is not necessary to achieve perfect symmetry, since watercolor paints will make the picture beautiful anyway :)

Add foliage and decorative circles.

Trace around with a marker or felt-tip pen and erase the pencil lines.

It's watercolor time! We color the buds and the vase.

We color the foliage, note that the tips of the leaves are slightly lighter.

Vase with gouache flowers

We figured out the watercolor, now let's try to work with gouache.

So, let's sketch. We draw only the basics, you do not need to draw each stalk with leaves, we will do this with paints.

Working on the background: a brown table with one side lighter than the other and an orange wall.

Be sure to leave an empty space between the flowers, there will be green foliage.

We work with green.

We continue to color.

To somehow diversify the picture, add a little purple to it.

How to draw a fruit bowl

Yes, they come not only with flowers, but also with fruits, and even with sweets. Let's analyze a simple drawing from textbooks on drawing from the times of the USSR.

Master class on non-traditional drawing techniques. Poke method

Author: Ryashentseva Lilia Vasilievna, teacher of the 3rd group of the TOGBOU "Zavoronezh Orphanage", Tambov Region, Michurinsky District.
The master class is intended for educators, pupils of middle and older age.
Target: introduce the non-traditional artistic technique of drawing with unusual materials using the “poke method”.
Tasks:
1. To teach pupils, on the basis of the knowledge gained, to create their own patterns, to develop creative personalities.
2. Develop attention, thinking, a sense of harmony and balance.
3. To cultivate the desire for creative search.
This drawing method is very interesting. As a rule, children are happy to participate in the drawing process. I started painting 5 years ago. I was not familiar with this technique before, just once an old, broken brush turned out to be at hand. I cut it and noticed that beautiful patterns are obtained. The background for landscapes looks especially beautiful.
These are my latest works

For work we need: gouache, a jar of water, medium size, a sheet of paper, scissors.

Since soon according to the calendar - Spring and the holiday of March 8, we will draw spring flowers - crocuses and snowdrops.
Stage 1 of work: cut the brush as shown in the photo.

Stage 2: we put the brush directly, dip it in gouache and make pokes on paper. We rarely use water. We start with lighter tones. Photo #6

Stage 3: add blue, red to yellow. We apply pokes over the entire surface of the sheet. Photo number 7

Stage 4: fill with white paint those places that look empty, or where there is too much paint. Make sure the background is uniform.

Stage 5: after building a black and white pattern (wait 10-15 minutes to dry completely), you can proceed to a detailed study. This will require new paints and brushes.

While I was drawing, a simple rhyme was born in my head.
Drawing is not hard at all!
Learning is possible!
Here is a leaf, but gouache,
Brush, water and pencil.
We only have a little...
Write flowers in a vase!
So, as soon as the holiday of mothers,
I will give a master class for them.
I draw a YELLOW point,
I will connect with BLUE - WHITE.
I’ll put RED next to it,
Background - I find it beautiful!
Only flowers remain.
You can make them any way!
I like crocus blossom
The cutest primrose!
The snow will barely come down and the focus -
Crocus crawled out from under the snow!
And a snowdrop paired with him,
Tenderness is undeniable.
Blue flower and purple
In the middle - white, new.
They are full of colors
Their outfit is very bright!
Let's paint the vase colorfully,
Let's write the fallen petals.
Here is the finished picture.
And the plot is already in my head!
Stage 6: draw a vase, dipping the brush into water and white. Since there is already a layer of paint under the vase, the vase will already turn out to be opaque.

Stage 7: we scatter snowdrop leaves all over the sheet.

Stage 8: apply crocus petals with a wide brush.

Stage 9: apply white on the petals to shade a little.

Stage 10: draw snowdrops. There are many of them, so it is not necessary to draw them exactly. Everyone understands and so what kind of flowers.

Stage 11: add some white flowers for contrast, yellow in the petals.

Stage 12: close the petals with lighter paint.

Everything turned out, the picture is ready!

And these are the works of my pupils, who took 1st place in various competitions.

This time we will draw a flower in a vase. As a flower, we will choose a calla, or, as it is also called, a marsh lily. This plant is very beautiful and will look good not only in our drawing, but also in a live composition.

Now let's get started and draw our calla flower in a vase with a pencil. As usual, we will break the lesson into several stages. We take out a pencil and paper, remember the basics, and go!

Step 1. First, draw a circle at the top of the sheet. From it we draw an arc at an angle down, this will be the calla stalk.

Step 2 Now around the circle we make a sketch of a lily bud. Don't forget to draw thin tails at the ends of the lines at the top of the flower sketch.

Step 3 Here we will draw another part of the calla bud. We draw an arcuate line, touching the top of the circle. Draw a stamen from the center of the circle. Let's move on to the next step.

Step 4 Almost done with the flower. Now we draw a thickening of the calla stem. Approximately in the middle of the stem, add yes bent leaves.

Step 5 Let's move on to the final steps. Now we will draw a vase for the flower. The sketch should not be difficult, just try to do as in the example. Inside the vase, add the contours of the poured water.

Step 6 The last step in the drawing. With an eraser we erase all our mistakes and extra lines from a pencil. We trace the contours of the flower in the vase and you're done.

As you can see, the lesson turned out to be simple. As a result, we gradually drew a flower in a vase. All that remains for us now is to paint the picture in different colors.

Still life is not bad. Also on the topic, you can watch a couple more video tutorials below, which show how you can draw flowers in a vase with a pencil. And to consolidate the material, you will only need to repeat all the steps.
