Drawing a vase with flowers step by step. How to draw a beautiful vase with a pencil step by step

16.04.2019

In the last lesson, and in this we will analyze how to draw the vase itself with a pencil. This activity will be very simple, so very good for kids and/or beginners. The drawing of the vase as such is not the goal in the course of drawing. But this drawing can serve as a starting point. For example, a vase can be used in a still life with fruit or for a bouquet of flowers. In any case, this lesson will come in handy in the future for more voluminous and large-scale compositions.

Let's get started!

Step 1. First, draw a vertical oval (ellipse) in the middle of the sheet. It will serve as the basis for the drawing of our vase. The ellipse itself should be drawn a little closer to the bottom of the paper.

Step 2 Now we circle the sides of the oval and draw the neck of the vase on top. From below we add a bottom. Compare your sketch with the picture below and if everything looks the same, then move on.

Step 3 At this stage, we erase the extra lines from the pencil. Namely, inside the picture we delete parts of the oval. You should end up with something like the sketch below.

Step 4 Adding decorative details to the drawing. Let's draw patterns on the vase. We will have flowers. On the neck and at the bottom we add rings that describe our vase.

So we drew a beautiful vase for flowers in stages. Now you can colorize it and add a shadow for realism. Here is such a beautiful drawing of a vase you should get in the end.

The lesson turned out to be simple and quick, so you can also watch a couple of videos showing how you can draw a vase with a pencil. But not just look, but also try to draw this picture.

This concludes our lesson, write in the comments how you managed to draw everything.

A vase is a very popular subject, each of us has painted it at least once in our lives. It is so popular that it is found in almost every still life. In this article, we will analyze in detail what it is, its types, how to draw it with a pencil and paints.

How to draw a vase step by step: the simplest example

Let's start with the simplest example, then delve a little into the theory, and then we will analyze a few examples of drawing a vase with a pencil and paints.

Stage 1
Take a pencil and make a simple sketch. Don't worry if one side is crooked. In this example, the curved side is a vase chip :)

Stage 2
We paint flowers.

Stage 3
Take a marker and outline the contours.

Stage 4
Erase the pencil lines with an eraser and draw the drawing.

What is a vase?

Now let's go over the theory a little, and then proceed to more serious examples.

A vase is a cylinder and differs from a cylinder only in that one or another part of it is wider or narrower. You should always keep this in mind when drawing her.

We recommend that you learn to draw objects that are new to you from nature, so you will better absorb the material. We also recommend that you do not spare the pencil and make more auxiliary figures, in the case of a vase, these are rings as in the picture below.

Its types and forms

This item has a wide variety of shapes. You can walk through any museum or shop and see that they are all different. Thick, narrow, small big and so on.

Turn on your imagination and draw them in the form of a triangle or square :)

Video tutorial showing drawing an unusual shape.

Do not forget that they are transparent and the flower stalk can be seen.

pencil drawing example

So let's start with a sketch. Try to make it symmetrical.

We carry rings for our convenience.

The sketch is ready, great! It's time to detail, so drawing three flowers. You can draw a whole bouquet or just one flower.

Pay attention to the vertical lines running across the entire area of the vase. Yes, we have it not perfectly round, but with sharp edges. Therefore, the shades of chiaroscuro will change dramatically.

We draw a shadow and highlights on the flowers. You can put a blank piece of paper under your arm so you don't accidentally smear the drawing.

The drawing is ready!

How to draw a vase with flowers in watercolor

We came to a very interesting thing, to drawings with paints! Let's start with a still life in watercolor.

We make a sketch, it is not necessary to achieve perfect symmetry, since watercolor paints will make the picture beautiful anyway :)

Add foliage and decorative circles.

Trace around with a marker or felt-tip pen and erase the pencil lines.

It's watercolor time! We color the buds and the vase.

We color the foliage, note that the tips of the leaves are slightly lighter.

Vase with gouache flowers

We figured out the watercolor, now let's try to work with gouache.

So, let's sketch. We draw only the basics, you do not need to draw each stalk with leaves, we will do this with paints.

Working on the background: a brown table with one side lighter than the other and an orange wall.

Be sure to leave an empty space between the flowers, there will be green foliage.

We work with green.

We continue to color.

To somehow diversify the picture, add a little purple to it.

How to draw a fruit bowl

Yes, they come not only with flowers, but also with fruits, and even with sweets. Let's analyze a simple drawing from textbooks on drawing from the times of the USSR.

The simplest sketch.

We draw the contours of pears, apples and other sweets.

We impose chiaroscuro.

Ready! Of course, this example is very, very simple, so come up with complex vase shapes and draw them.

How to draw a vase with a rose

We will not show you a step-by-step example, because it is too simple for you.

All you need to be able to do is be able to draw a vase and a rose. You just combine these two things and that's it. Having read up to here, you already know how to draw a vase, and you can see the lessons with roses below. Good luck with your drawing :)

I think it will be easy. Let's start.

Step one. Let's draw the outline of the stem, thin and graceful. Outline the shape of the bud. Step two. With thin lines we outline the leaves of the tulip, wide, large. Let one be curved.

Step three. We draw a thick stem. We make the leaves brighter. Carefully, smoothly, carefully. Step four. We draw a petal, while maintaining the shape of the bud. Step five. We draw the second petal. And behind him, other petals hid inside, and they also need to be shown. Step six. We select pencils of the correct color. Let us have a red flower itself. Let's outline the contours: the bud is scarlet, the stem and leaves are green. Step seven. We evenly shade the entire drawing with a pencil of the corresponding color, but without strong pressure. So that the tone is even and fairly light. We try to hatch along the contour. Eighth. Let's make the petal a brighter and more saturated color.

Ninth. We give color to the bud. We make the stem darker, the leaf inside is also dark, we show the shadow. Step ten. Let's make the outside of the leaves a little brighter, but not darker than the shadow inside.

Eleventh. Last step. We add nuance and shades to our drawing to make it look more voluminous and livelier.

How to learn to draw a rose with a pencil

STEP ONE. And so, we have everything we need, let's go directly to the fact how to draw a rose step by step. First, draw a circle. But don't make it a circle. Firstly, it will leave a hole in the paper, and secondly, we draw, not plot. Next, with a slight deviation, draw an arbitrary contour of the rosebud. STEP TWO. Now we need to attach the stem. It should be drawn at a slight angle, this makes the drawing realistic. Here it should be remembered that at the junction with the bud, it has a certain thickening and several thin green petals. STEP THREE. The turn has come to do the bud in more detail. Our mission is to start draw the outer petals of the rose. Since they are the most sensitive to light, temperature and other influences, it is worth drawing them a little withered. It is also worth paying attention to the fact that their edges are slightly curved.

STEP FOUR . Let's move on to the inside of the flower. Here all the petals fit more closely to each other, so they should be drawn as a whole, separating their edges, and only the tips are slightly protruding from the base. In symbolism, it is precisely such a fully unblown flower that is associated with young love, from which something more perfect and beautiful will grow.

STEP FIVE. At the last stage, we should depict the core of the bud. It's very simple. We need to draw the swirls of the upper parts of the leaf, which form it. Also, to complete our robots, circle the outline and erase unnecessary lines.

How to draw a snowdrop with a pencil step by step

Step one.

Let's start with simple lines. Let us first outline the dimensions (height and width) of the future flower. Mine is a little smaller than an A4 piece of paper. Let's draw a curve denoting the stem. It looks like a palm tree.
Step two.

Let's add some curvy lines at the top.
Step three.

Now the same beauty, only from the side.
Step four.

Let's move on to drawing the flower itself. Remember that we are not Chinese characters, so try to make it more realistic.
Step five.

Let's draw another leaf from the bottom.
Step six.

Now I trace the outlines with a black pen and color it in.
Here is mine: (it's scanned)

How to draw a poppy:

First stage . Usually flowers start to draw from the center. Let's outline the center of the flower with a circle. Draw a second circle around the designated center, but slightly larger than the previous one. This will be the conditional border of the petals for our flower. From it we will draw a vertical line - a line for the future stem. In the circle, we need to draw four slightly curved lines with a thin, barely noticeable line. These will show us the center of the petals later on.

We proceed to the second stage and look at the next picture. Draw the center of the flower. And from the center we draw several uneven, but smooth lines - these are the edges of the three petals of the flower and their dissection. Third stage. We finish drawing three petals, going beyond the contour-circle, which we outlined with you in the first stage. Between the resulting petals, we need to draw other petals. Look carefully at how it looks in the picture, and try to make it as similar as possible. We outline the stem ...

Fourth stage. Draw the poppy stem and leaves along the vertical line. We add cuts on the petals, they will make the drawing more lively and believable.

The final stage. Using the eraser, remove the auxiliary lines. Well, how? Happened? Hope so. Good luck!

How to draw a vase of flowers with a pencil

Step one.

We draw the outline of the vase. First, a circle in the center of the sheet. Leave a place on top to place the neck of the vessel and the flowers themselves. Step two.

Now imagine that our circle is a ball similar to Smeshariki Krosh, only without ears, we need to place a cylinder on top. Let's draw from our ball up its edges. And then draw the upper and lower bases of the neck. It is clear that we do not see the lower base, but for now we will leave all our auxiliary lines. Step three.

Instruction

Draw a horizontal line on the sheet - this will be the table on which we will put the vase. The line should run about 8 - 10 cm from the bottom edge of the sheet.

Draw, by lightly pressing the pencil, the approximate outline of one side of the jug. To determine the proportions of the jug, there is one simple trick. To do this, you need to stretch your hand forward with and squint one eye. Now try to measure how many times the widest part of the pitcher fits in its height. To do this, turn the pencil horizontally and point it at the widest point of the jug, fixing the resulting distance with your finger on the pencil. Then turn the pencil horizontally and count how many times the distance you measured fits in the height of the jug. Thus, artists measure all the proportions of the object being drawn.

Start drawing this half clearly, carefully look at your "model". Clearly draw all the curves and concavities of the jug. When one side of the jug is completely drawn, proceed to the next step.

Draw straight horizontal lines from the curves of the drawn part of the jug to its other part, thus projecting the future contour of the second side. This is necessary to make your vase symmetrical. Become a draftsman.

Draw the second side of the jug by eye, and then check both parts. Attach a pencil from the axis to the edge of the jug near its neck, measure the distance on the other side of the axis. Check, thus, all the bends of the jug on both sides from the axis.

Draw the contour of the second part, correct the flaws.

note

A lesson on how to draw a vase of flowers with a pencil is passed by all students of an art school. Pictures of a vase are a good educational material for adding volume to objects in a drawing. Let's try to draw a vase step by step. And to make it more interesting to draw, let's "place" a rose flower in a vase.

Helpful advice

Now you will learn how to draw a vase of flowers. Step 1. Let's start with the basic shapes, draw a rectangle in the center of the sheet, outline a circle at the bottom of the vase and a flattened oval at the top. Draw also three curved lines, these will be the stems. And at the top there are three circles for future flowers. Step 2. Divide each flower into 6 parts with a circle in the middle, add leaves.

In order to learn how to draw a vase, you need to have the skills to build perpendicular lines and a good eye. Knowing the general rules, you can depict a vessel of any shape and proportions.

Instruction

Draw a vertical line to represent the axis of symmetry of the vase you are drawing. With two perpendicular lines, separate the borders of the bottom and neck of the vessel. Do not press on the pencil, the auxiliary lines will need to be removed with an eraser.

Squint one eye, stretch out your hand with it clamped in it. Position it horizontally, at the level of the bottom of the vase, so that the tip matches the left border. You do not need to lean the pencil against the object of the image. Place your fingernail where the right border of the bottom is. Without removing the nail from the conditional point on, move it to a vertical position, and count how many times the measured area is included in the height of the vase. If the proportions of the vessel are such that its height is three times the width of the bottom, mark on the lower horizontal line two points equidistant from the vertical, the distance between which is equal to a third of the height. Check yourself with a pencil by measuring all the proportions on the sheet.

With a pencil in your outstretched hand, compare the width of the bottom and neck. Show the ratio of these dimensions in the figure. Select all the curves of the vase, build auxiliary horizontal lines. To select a point on the vertical axis, use a pencil, pull it out, fix the width of the bottom with your fingernail, and turning it vertically, calculate at what height, expressed in the size of the bottom, the bend is located. So you can keep the proportions of the vase.

Draw ovals passing through the points marked on the horizontal lines. Remember that the ovals that lie at the bottom of the vase are wider than those that are drawn on the upper horizontal lines. Connect all the dots with smooth lines. Observe areas of concavity and convexity. Erase extra auxiliary lines. In the figure, the side contours of the vase, the oval of the neck and the bottom should remain. Color the drawing.

The muse of creativity visited you, and the question arose: “How to draw a vase?” It's not a secret. In this article we will tell you how to draw a vase in stages. We will do this with simple pencils. If you want your work to be more realistic, you will need perseverance and a little patience. Drawing requires precision, only then you will get a good result.

What do you need for drawing

  1. Paper. It is better, of course, to take special paper for drawing. It has a good density and can withstand numerous erasing with an eraser.
  2. Simple pencils of different hardness. Why will you outline the outline of the drawing differently, it should be a kind of thin cobweb. You will be doing the bulk of the work with medium hard pencils. And soft - to finish the drawing, apply shadows and volume.
  3. Eraser. The choice in stores is great, a matter of your taste.
  4. your patience.

Step 1

Mount the paper on an easel or arrange yourself with an album in a way that is comfortable for you. You need to start the drawing by determining where on the sheet the vase will be located. With a hard pencil, lightly mark the location of the object. Define its height with horizontal lines. Then draw a vertical line of symmetry. Roughly speaking, this line will run in the center of your vase. Do not forget to do all the lines at this stage without much pressure on the paper. Then they will need to be erased with an eraser, now they serve you as auxiliary elements.

Step 2

On the center line, you should mark the top and bottom of the vase. Then vertical lines - its widest and narrowest places. It is necessary to ensure that the distance to the right and left of the center line is the same. This can be measured with a pencil, applying it to the drawing. Similarly, you need to outline all the bottlenecks, for example, on the neck and bottom of the vase.

Step 3

Now you need to move away from the drawing a little and look from afar, perhaps something needs to be clarified or corrected. Then all the marks must be connected with smooth lines, creating the outline of the vase. to be symmetrical? Of course, if your eyes are not trained, it will be difficult. Help yourself with a pencil, it will serve you as a kind of ruler. There is another secret: turn your drawing upside down and you will immediately see everything that needs to be corrected.

Step 4

Now it's time to use a medium hard pencil and an eraser. At this stage, draw the neck of the vase. Do not forget about perspective: the neck should not be round, but oval. Pay attention to the bottom of the vase, it should not be flat like a table. This will also be an oval. Do not be afraid to mess up, everything can be fixed with an eraser. In how to draw a vase, outlines will help you. Draw them more clearly, pay attention to the neck of the vase. Auxiliary lines that interfere with you can be wiped off.

How to draw a vase so that it is voluminous? To do this, at this stage you need to already impose shadows. They should be inside the neck of the vase, from below, on the side. See which side the light is coming from. The shadow will always be on the opposite side of the light source.

Step 5

Take the softest pencil and work on your drawing in the shadows more actively. The shadow under the vase can be rubbed with a finger or cotton swab. This will give it softness. The farther the shadow is from the vase, the softer it is. Outline the outline of the pattern on the vase, if any.

Well, now you know how to draw a vase with a pencil. Perhaps the first time a masterpiece will not work, but you will get pleasure from creativity.
