Vlad Sokolovsky and Rita Dakota decided to spend the winter in Bali this year. Yesterday, the couple was supposed to fly to Russia with their daughter Mia. Young parents shared with subscribers their emotions from the fact that the long-term vacation came to an end, and were already looking forward to returning home.
“So our endless travels are coming to an end and, of course, this is insanely sad at heart, despite the fact that there are relatives in Moscow, and a lot of interesting projects and things to do! We will have to deal with this and accept it as always with an open heart, ”Vlad wrote on Instagram the other day.
However, at the last moment, the couple changed their minds about flying back and did not go to check in the flight. Sokolovsky announced his decision on his social media page.
“So today it looked like making a rather difficult decision for us! Namely, to stay on our island for a while. The decision was made very abruptly, due to various, including personal circumstances," Sokolovsky said.
According to Rita, they did not change the tickets, but simply decided not to fly and do not even think about the approximate dates of returning to their homeland. It is interesting that Vlad and Rita remained in Bali, despite the difficulties that accompany their life in the tropics. First, the villa where they lived was robbed, then the rice fields burned, the couple had to change their homes because of the smoke, and then the singer “caught” a dangerous virus.
There were also other troubles, and although the vacation of the star couple definitely cannot be called "cloudless", they still decided to extend it.

The first month of summer always gives our lives a "second wind": accomplishments and vivid emotions, joyful events and travels to new countries. Therefore, from the very beginning of the summer, we decided to launch our new symbolic project. "Couple of the Month SOKOLOV" - 12 exclusive stories about the love stories of star couples - so different, but together demonstrating the main value in the life of every person - love.
The project is opened by a cheerful bright couple - Vlad Sokolovsky and Rita Dakota, who are preparing to become parents for the first time.
How did you meet?
Vlad: We met at the casting of "Star Factory", it was 2007. I can’t say that we immediately became friends, we just knew each other, and later, during all stages of the casting, which took place in the summer, we began to communicate, further on the project and after it.
By the way, we recently realized that we met on June 3rd. This date is becoming more and more important and symbolic for us. On June 3, we met, 3 is our favorite number with Rita, and exactly 25 years ago from “our” date, my parents got married.
Rita: Then we were connected only by friendship and common bold musical dreams. Only after 7 years we looked at each other in a new way, having met at a party at a mutual friend and talked until the morning. This was Love at first sight, since that evening we have not parted like that.
Tell us what inspires you in each other?
Vlad: In Rita, what attracts me first of all is that she is real. All this feeling of genuine, sincere - that's what really inspires. Another general outlook. Now it practically coincides with us - apparently, it has lined up over these 3-plus years. This suggests that in the future everything will be cool.
We look at so many things the same way and we have common values, which only strengthens the confidence in the person with whom you want to spend your whole life.
Rita: Absolutely everything. Love and inspiration are generally identical concepts. When you love music, everything in it inspires you: harmony, melody, overtones, modulations. It's the same with a loved one. We think this is the benchmark.
Are you opposites or two parts of a whole?
Vlad: It so happened that we are both two parts of one whole, and polar opposites in some way. I think that helps us to be together. So, probably, it should be in all respects. There must be something in common and something that makes you different.
Rita: We are definitely two parts of the whole, globally we are generally the same, if we talk about serious, deep things: about spirituality, about life values and guidelines. But in the everyday sense, of course, we have our own characteristics, like all people.
For example, someone likes historical films, the other does not, someone makes the bed, the other every other time, and stuff like that.

Vlad, how did you understand that Rita is a girl with whom you want to be together all your life?
Before we started dating, I knew Rita quite well - during the "Star Factory" and after it, we spent a lot of time together. By that time, she had matured, and I saw her from a completely different angle. To be honest, I decided that I wanted to be with her in one evening.
How often do you give Rita jewelry gifts? Guess with her desires?
I try to surprise her with my ideas and gifts, but it's better to let the woman talk about it.
Rita, give me some advice on how to choose the perfect watch for your beloved man?
It seems to me that it's all about the predilections of your man, in preferences in clothes, in lifestyle. Vlad loves both classics and sports casual equally, so I choose for him a watch that matches both clothing options. Strict, but bold, stylish and concise.

You are not like many celebrity couples. What is your philosophy of life?
Vlad: To be honest, I don't know why people think that. We are cheerful simple guys doing what we love. We love traveling and we think it's one of the best things to do in life. We are, in a (good) sense, indifferent. And optimists! I am more, Rita is learning and now on the right track.
I don’t know, we are open and not afraid to seem ridiculous, while other people are more reverent about their “I” and their public image.
Rita: We are best friends. Perhaps this is the secret. And we always laugh, we turn any problem into a reason to laugh. We live by the principle "love is like a sword, humor is like a shield."

March let me down a bit. It's usually not that negative. Therefore, when our conscience torments us, we will languidly roll our eyes and justify our decision by caring for the child. Of course, we stayed because we have a small baby and we wanted to avoid reacclimatization, and not because we are here to surf and have a great time, Rita joked.

Rita Dakota (real name Margarita Gerasimovich) was born on March 09, 1990 in Minsk. Having already become a sought-after performer, the girl sadly recalled her childhood. She grew up in a poor family: her mother is a teacher, and her grandfather is a retired military man.“Going out and buying, for example, a new sweater was a real treat. We could choose it for weeks, go to shopping centers and markets. I still remember each of my new things in detail, to every spool.
However, Rita Dakota does not call her childhood unhappy. She had a loving family and devoted friends. She enthusiastically played with the yard boys in Cossack robbers and tanks, climbed trees, forgetting about the "girlish" entertainment. 
Despite financial difficulties, relatives did not spare money and effort to develop Rita's musical talent, which she began to show at an early age, performing cover versions of the songs of Natasha Koroleva and Kristina Orbakaite for her parents and neighbors. At the age of 7, Rita began to study the intricacies of playing the piano at a music school, while attending vocal lessons at the same institution. The girl attended classes with pleasure, and in the 4th grade she wrote her own song, which she presented to the audience at a school concert.
In high school, Rita created her own punk band, for which she wrote songs herself, and sold some of the sketches to radio stations. In order for Rita and her case to be taken seriously, the girl had to take one of the adults with her to the negotiations.
After school, Rita thought about entering the College of Music. M.I. Glinka, but changed her mind and enrolled in the Forte vocal studio in Minsk. It was during her studies at this studio that the girl took the pseudonym Dakota (translated from Portuguese, this means “versatility”).

In 2005, Rita took part in the Belarusian Star Stagecoach talent competition. Alas, the girl did not become the winner of the competition. Moreover, the jury accused the artist of lack of patriotism, as she chose a song in English. 
In 2007, the project "Star Factory-7" by the brothers Konstantin and Valery Meladze was launched on Channel One, in which 17-year-old Dakota became a participant. The artist did not make it to the final, losing prizes to Anastasia Prikhodko and Mark Tishman, however, her song "Matches" became the most downloaded song of the project in seven seasons (even the hit "About Him" by Irina Dubtsova lost to Rita's song), and the singer herself gained millions of fans .

After the end of the show, Dakota, according to the contract, could not leave Moscow, but the girl had almost no work and money: the singer did not want to perform other people's songs, dreaming of becoming a "singing author" and nothing else.
Gradually, Rita left the TV screens and organized her own rock band "Monroe", with which she successfully performed at the music festivals "Kubana" and "Invasion", and also toured the country. Soon, well-known domestic performers began to buy her songs - Elka, Zara, Svetlana Loboda and others.
In 2015, Rita took part in the musical project "Main Stage" on the channel "Russia-1". As on the "Star Factory", on the project Dakota performed songs only of her own composition.
A new wave of fan love for Dakota was brought by the song "Half a Man", which the girl wrote in 2016. It was this composition that prompted Rita to work on new songs and videos.

At the Star Factory-7, Dakota met singer Vlad Sokolovsky, the future soloist of the BiS duet. Young people have been friends for a long time, occasionally intersecting at parties. But at one point a spark flared up between the artists, and after several months of relationship, during a joint trip to Bali, Vlad proposed to the girl.
