Time is a harmful and elusive thing. It always oozes through your fingers and flows away to no one knows where. What to do if all your life you wanted to write symphonies better than Mozart's, and you have two children, a wife, a mother, and a burning project in addition to everything?

We are in website We are also extremely concerned about this problem: we want to realize ourselves in life and not choke on a bone. Not to give up and do great things, we are helped by examples of famous people who certainly had enough 24 hours a day.

Leonardo da Vinci

The famous “universal man” will head our list. Recall that Leonardo is an outstanding Renaissance artist (does everyone remember Gioconda?), an inventor (all his inventions formed the basis for the construction of modern submarines), a scientist, as well as a writer and musician. And he was the first to explain why the sky is blue: "The blue of the sky is due to the thickness of the illuminated particles of air, which is located between the Earth and the blackness above." He managed all this thanks to his own developed sleep system: he slept for a total of 2 hours (lights out for 15 minutes several times a day), and in all the rest of his free time he changed the world and himself for the better.

Anton Chekhov

The brilliant brother of his brother (he had such a pseudonym). The famous master of the short story, humorist and satirist, the greatest playwright and part-time doctor. He himself admitted: “Medicine is my legal wife, and literature is my mistress. When one gets bored, I spend the night at the other. Constantly torn at the crossroads of his two talents, Chekhov was engaged in medical affairs until the end of his life. He even gave his dogs names according to the name of drugs: Bromine and Hina. But he also respected his “mistress”: over the course of his life, Chekhov created more than 300 works, including short stories and impressive dramas. And the great comedian loved to collect stamps. Here was a man!

Vladimir Nabokov

Writer and entomologist, self-taught entomologist. In honor of Vladimir Vladimirovich, more than 20 genera of butterflies are named, one of which (that's cute!) Is called Nabokovia. Nabokov also played chess very well. They made several difficult chess problems. His love for this intellectual sport was reflected in the novel "Luzhin's Defense". Recall that Nabokov was fluent in English. "Lolita" in America is loved just as much as we do.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Goethe was known not only as a great writer and poet, but also as a scientist: he made some discoveries in the field of the theory of light. In addition, he actively collected minerals - his collection includes 18,000 copies (it is clear where Faust got such a craving for alchemy). The author of the famous drama was so lucky or well done that he slept only 5 hours a day, and he had enough strength for many, many accomplishments. Perhaps this is because Goethe adhered to strict rules and was a supporter of a healthy lifestyle: he did not drink alcohol at all and could not stand the smell of tobacco smoke. That is why he lived for 82 years and managed to create so many things.

Hugh Jackman

Not only a famous actor, but also a Broadway artist, and what a one! Within one season, he managed to get all the major theater awards. Everyone knows the third area of Jackman's activity, in which he achieved success - family life. Hugh and Deborra-Lee Furness have been married for 20 years, and together they have two children. Yes, what is there! Our Hugh is generally capable of everything: he can play the piano, guitar, violin, and also ... vibrate his pupils and even juggle. Probably even Wolverine can't do that.

Salvador Dali

Everyone says that he is crazy, but they are silent about the fact that he was universal. Dali is famous not only as a painter and sculptor, but also as the director of the terrible Andalusian Dog. Dali also wrote several "works": "The Secret Life of Salvador Dali, told by himself" and "The Diary of a Genius." For the sake of his psychedelic masterpieces, the humble genius often "perverted" in terms of sleep. Let us explain: Dali hired a special servant for himself, who, seeing that the owner was starting to fall asleep in complete exhaustion, woke him up after waiting a few seconds. The disheveled Dali immediately grabbed the paper and tried to sketch what he saw in the first seconds of the superficial phase of sleep.

Mikhail Lomonosov

Russian natural scientist, chemist and physicist, poet, artist... you can hardly list everything here. Lomonosov is not just an active figure - he is revered as a reformer. It was he who carried out the reform of versification. Therefore, by memorization of iambs and choreas, we, oddly enough, are obliged to an outstanding chemist. By the way, being smart does not mean being bullied. While studying in Marburg, for example, Lomonosov perfectly mastered the ability to handle a sword. Local bullies avoided this overly capable and skillful Muscovite. That's certainly a talented person is talented in everything!

Isaac Newton

Everyone should know that he is not only famous for the apple that fell on his head. Newton wrote books on theology, where he spoke about the denial of the Holy Trinity, and was also chairman of the Royal Society of Arts. Not many people know that Newton also invented two stunningly ingenious things: a means for carrying cats and a door for them (where would we be without them now?). His love for furry and mustachioed friends is to blame for this. Newton preferred vigorous activity to sleep - he took only 4 hours a day for night rest.

Benjamin Franklin

We all know him as an uncle from the dollar and politics, but Franklin is still like our Lomonosov. He was a journalist and inventor. He invented, for example, the stove (“Pennsylvania fireplace”), and also predicted the weather. The first developed a detailed map of the Gulf Stream. He founded the Philadelphia Academy, as well as the first public library in the States. Franklin also had musical talent. Uncle Ben managed to keep up with everything by strictly following the daily regimen, in which only 4 hours a day were allotted for sleep.

Alexander Borodin

A man whose portrait hangs both in the music class and in the chemistry class. Do you know that the author of the famous opera "Prince Igor" was also a chemist and physician? He jokingly called himself a "Sunday musician": he had to sacrifice days off in order to create something of that kind for the world of music. The memory of Borodin's everyday life was left by his wife: "I could sit for ten hours in a row, I could not sleep at all, not have lunch." Still would! After all, as you know, one of Borodin's mottos was such a super-motivating phrase: "All that we do not have, we owe only to ourselves." Alexander Porfiryevich was also an active public figure - he was one of the initiators of the opening of Women's Medical Courses.

Flea (Michael Peter Balzary)

The tireless and daring bass player of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. He became famous for his unique style of playing the bass guitar, which was dubbed as slapping and popping - slaps and tweaks. It is surprising that Flea went to study music only in 2008 (after 25 years of playing as part of a group) - he admitted that he always played by ear, but did not know music theory. Nevertheless, Flea is recognized as one of the best bass players of all time. As they say, play for a quarter of a century and learn for a century. And if you think that rock musicians do nothing but rebel all day long, then Flea is a rebuttal to you: his filmography includes 25 films, including cartoons. By the way, he is that crazy boss in the movie "Back to the Future - 2".

Michael Bulgakov

In his youth, Bulgakov worked as a zemstvo doctor, and he had to be a generalist: a general practitioner, a gynecologist, a surgeon, and a dentist. "Notes of a Young Doctor" owe their birth to that period of the young Bulgakov's life. It was difficult to combine healing and creativity, so I had to “plow” a shift, treat the unpretentious village people all day, and then also carve out time for writing ... Whatever you don’t sacrifice for the sake of art. Once, in a letter to his mother, he wrote: “At night I write“ Notes of a Zemstvo Doctor. It might turn out to be a solid thing." Bulgakov is also an example of the correct attitude towards criticism. He collected critical articles about his work, including 298 negative and 3 positive reviews from critics.

Well, do you still think that you do not have enough time?

There are many good and strong people in the world. But the example should be taken from the best. Having lived a life after which it is not scary to die. The lives of these great people are examples of real love, real friendship, real fortitude, real kindness.

But in our time of total confusion, it is not always easy to distinguish between real great people among those who were just famous and dreamed of being great. Among the so-called "stars".

Such strong people as Alexander Nevsky, Admiral Nakhimov, Admiral Ushakov will always shine on us. But the strength of the spirit is not somewhere in the past. Heroes are born in our time, and not necessarily the heroes of war.

And others constantly show indecision and uncertainty. Obviously, it is much easier to manipulate a weak person than those who are called "strong personality". Examples of a person who always occupies a dominant position can be cited ad infinitum. But is it possible to say unequivocally who such a strong person is and how he differs from others?

Who can be called a strong person?

It is difficult to accurately describe all the qualities of a strong personality, but the main distinguishing features can still be distinguished:

  1. High levels of self-confidence and self-belief.
  2. The ability to control your emotions.
  3. A very important point is that a strong person has a high degree of independence: he is independent of the opinions of others, various prejudices and public opinion.
  4. A strong individual always knows what he wants from life and perseveres to achieve his goals.
  5. A strong person looks at the world from the position of reason and knows how to analyze events sensibly.

Of course, this is not an exhaustive description of a person who can safely be labeled a "strong personality." Examples of a person with such qualities do not have to hiccup among famous and prominent people. After all, not all people who hold serious government posts can be called a strong personality.

People with strong character live among us. They do not necessarily hold prestigious positions and lead others. They just remain themselves, do what they love and do not succumb to the influence of the crowd.

Strong = Successful?

Naturally, it is much easier for a strong person to succeed. If a person has a goal and he constantly strives for it, then they usually say about him that he is a strong personality. Examples of a person who does not strive to succeed, on the contrary, do not command respect from society. Such people are considered weak-willed and insecure.

But can it be argued that success and purpose are one and the same? Is it really only a person who has achieved success, can be attributed to the prestigious category of "strong personality"? People often do not fully understand the expression "strong man". Indeed, by the word "success" we often mean money, power and fame.

In fact, a self-sufficient person makes her own choice, regardless of the opinions of others. For such people, success is not wealth, influence and fame. For them, success is not succumbing to other people's influence and doing what they personally want. It turns out that the goal and success are different things in the public understanding, but they are completely identical for a strong personality.

The ability to be an individual, to have your own opinion and adequately assess your strengths and weaknesses - this is what characterizes a strong personality. You can see examples of a person who is strong in spirit and character not only on the TV screen or in glossy magazines, but also in the tram, on the street or at work. Or maybe you are a really strong and self-sufficient person and are an example for many people.

Each person during his life meets with a large number of people who behave differently and turn out to be decent, mean, weak, strong-willed and other personalities. And how should a person show himself so that it can be said about him that he is a strong personality? This is a person with certain character traits, such as self-confidence and one's own strengths, purposefulness, optimism, the ability to look at things realistically, perseverance, the ability to take responsibility for decisions made, the ability to control the situation, be a leader and lead other people .

Prominent people in history

Not every person who lived in the past or exists at the present time can be said to be a really strong personality. Examples of people who became famous for their unbending willpower, the ability to lead entire nations, their fateful responsible decisions that changed the outcome of many important events, are captured in the history of our state and the whole world. Such people can be called Prince Vladimir, Vasily II, Alexander Nevsky, Empress Catherine II, Emperor Peter I, Nicholas II and many others.

A specific example of a strong personality

We can go on giving examples of a strong personality in history for a long time, but I would like to consider one outstanding person as a role model. Yuri Gagarin, the first cosmonaut in the history of mankind, can deservedly be considered such a person. The strength of this man's personality is beyond question. He went through many trials and tribulations during his preparation for space flight and during the flight itself. Yuri Gagarin was a very purposeful, hard-working person, able to mobilize in difficult times to make the right decision. He was able to maintain inner calm in absolutely any situation and transmit this calm state to others. It was this trait - the ability not to panic and make informed decisions in a difficult situation - that was the main characteristic of an astronaut for the first manned space flight.

Yuri Alekseevich was a simple, open person, he helped other cosmonauts, his colleagues, in preparation for the flight. He knew how to organize people and lead them along. Every morning, Gagarin took his family and the residents of his entire house to morning exercises outside in the courtyard, going around each apartment and ringing the doorbell. He did not allow anyone to shirk and be capricious. And no one even tried to refuse - all people gladly obeyed the advice and instructions of this outstanding person.

Having become famous, Yuri Gagarin passed the test of fame and did not become arrogant. But not everyone can withstand the pressure of fame in order to remain the same person, a model of endurance and self-control.

It is unfortunate that this great man passed away early, died during a plane crash, the true cause of which is still not clear. If his fate had turned out differently, and he had not died, we can say with confidence that he would have done many more important things, he could have led many people and showed them the right path in life. Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin is a real example of a strong personality in the history of mankind.

Strong personality: examples was last modified: December 15th, 2015 by Elena Pogodaeva

How many people in the world who have willpower, strong character and good intentions. There are people who are hard to scare with something. Such people are called strong personalities.

There are many strong personalities in our country. It has always been so. In Russian literature, many works describe strong personalities. These heroes include Ilya Muromets, Taras Bulba, Vasily Terkin and many more literary characters. These individuals may not have strong muscles, but they did not have to take strength of mind. A strong personality is able to move from words to deeds and is always ready to answer for his actions.

Complete essay on the topic Strong personality (grade 6) - social science

When it comes to a strong personality, I want to imagine a person who has a muscular body and can swing his fists. Everything is so simple at first glance. In practice, everything turns out to be completely different.

A strong personality is a person who is not afraid of difficulties, is ready to solve problems and is not afraid of change. A strong personality easily makes connections, makes plans for the future and knows that everything will work out. A strong personality is not afraid of reality, always sensibly assesses the situation and strives to help people.

Not every person is ready to control their own destiny. Not everyone can make decisions and take risks.

The most interesting thing is that a strong personality is not born, it becomes gradually. A strong personality brings up positive qualities in itself, is ready to take responsibility for all the events that take place in life. A person with a strong-willed character achieves everything with his work. He understands that everything in life has a price.
Such people are always open to communication, are not afraid to speak out loud about their desires and always satisfy their needs.

It is good when a strong personality can serve as an example for indecisive and insecure people. Many millionaires and politicians achieve everything on their own, going through frustration, poverty, fear and insecurity. But, they become strong during the movement, strengthening faith in themselves, their capabilities and prospects. Nobody gets anything right away. It is always necessary, first of all, to work on yourself. And any work is hard. And in order to dispel all self-doubts, it is necessary to constantly set new goals for yourself, constantly complicating them, strive to take on more responsibility and constantly develop. To do this, you need to become more positive and cheerful.
