Before the group, Andrey Grigoriev-Apollonov and Kirill Andreev worked as models: Andrey - in the Sochi Fashion Theater, and Kirill - in the Slava Zaitsev Fashion Theater.

Both starred in video clips: Kirill had roles in the video "My Boy" by Svetlana Vladimirskaya and "I'm Lost Without You" by Laima Vaikule, and Andrei appeared on the screen as an extra participant in the video of the Lyube group for the song "Don't play the fool , America".

On the set of this video, in 1992, Andrey met Igor Matvienko, the future producer and composer of Ivanushki International, but Igor Igorevich took Andrey to the group much later - in 1995, after he saw him at the Sochi Fashion Theater and realized that that Andrei is the leader of the theater team.

The first concert of the group was held in Moscow, in a house on Trekhgorny Val. At that time, on the initiative of Igor Matvienko, the team repeatedly performed in Moscow schools for free.

Initially, the group did not have its own name, and they performed under various pseudonyms ("Soyuz-Apollo", etc.). Only six months later, the final name "Ivanushki International" appeared. Conceptually, Igor Matvienko wanted to combine the best traditions of Russian folk music, Soviet pop music and popular foreign dance styles (disco, trance, etc.) in his new project. This concept was reflected in the name of the team.

In 1996, Ivanushki released their first studio album, Of course he is.

The entire album, with the exception of the song "Sunflower", was recorded at the Mosfilm tone studio. The band members sang in a toilet not far from the studio, where, according to Andrey Grigoriev-Apollonov, there are "great acoustics". It includes three cover versions of songs by groups and performers of the late 80s (“Universe”, originally performed by Alexander Ivanov and the Rondo group, “Etazhi” and “Malina” performed by Oleg Katsura and the Klass group). The album also includes songs, to the words of a member of the group - Igor Sorin. Songs "Somewhere" and "Sunflower". The song "Clouds", the text of which was written by Alexander Shaganov, originally had other music, and Yuri Shatunov was supposed to perform the song. A video clip for the song performed by Ivanushki International was filmed in 1996 on an unfinished St. Petersburg dam.

At the end of 1997, the band released their next album "Of course it's a remix". The creators of the remixes were sound designer and co-producer of the band Igor Polonsky, keyboardist of the Moral Code band Konstantin Smirnov and DJ Maxim Milyutenko. In addition to remixes for existing songs, Ivanushki also released their future hit - the song "Doll" (4 soloists starred in the video for this song - Andrei Grigoriev-Apollonov, Kirill Andreev, Igor Sorin and Oleg Yakovlev) and a cover version of the song group "Lube" "Dusya aggregate".

The second numbered album "Your Letters", which was released on November 15, 1997, included 11 songs.

As in the first two albums, the third did not do without cover versions of the hits of past years (“Alyoshkina Love”, “Younger Sister”, “Girl-Girl”). In addition to the music tracks, the album included audio mail from the band members.

In March 1998, the group changes. Igor Sorin leaves her, having decided to pursue a solo career. His place is finally taken by Oleg Yakovlev. The debut of Oleg Yakovlev took place in the video "Doll".

The fate of Sorin was tragic - on September 1, 1998, according to police officers, Igor fell from the balcony of the 6th floor. September 4, he was gone.

In 1999, the disc "Fragments from Life" was released, dedicated to the memory of Igor Sorin. The CD also includes Ivanushki's songs to Igor Sorin's verses and their new, never before published, song dedicated to Igor Sorin - "I will never forget you".

In April 1999, the Ivanushki International group released their new, third numbered album, “I'll be screaming about this all night long” - this is the name of the title song of the disc, which is performed by the brightest red-haired “Ivanushka” Andrey Grigoriev-Apollonov.

This is the first album in which Oleg Yakovlev took part as a full-fledged soloist. Work on the disc was carried out from August to November 1998 in the studio of the Igor Matvienko Producer Center, mixing and mastering were carried out in the sound recording studio of the Mosfilm film concern.

The next album "Ivanushki" was the disc "Wait for me", followed by "Oleg, Andrey, Kirill", released in 2002. It included such hits of the group as "Golden Clouds", "Beznadega.ru", "A Drop of Light".

The album "10 Years in the Universe", released in 2005, consists of four new hits ("Bouquet of Lilacs", "Ticket to the Cinema", "I Love", "For the Horizon", a remake of "I Asked the Ash Tree", songs of past years, covers of the songs "Ivanushki" recorded by other performers ("Factory", "Roots", "Kuba", etc.) and a remix of the song "Poplar Down" from the Vengerov & Fedoroff project.

In 2007, when Sochi was entrusted with hosting the 2014 Winter Olympics, Ivanushki took part in a gala concert on Theater Square in Sochi, where the voting of the members of the International Olympic Committee was broadcast live. After the announcement of the voting results, the group, together with other Russian pop singers, performed the anthem of the new Olympic capital.

In the second half of the 2000s, the popularity of Ivanushki International began to decline rapidly. Music critics started talking about the creative crisis of Igor Matvienko, who stopped writing hits. Of the songs "Ivanushki", released in 2006-2007, none of them could repeat the success of previous hits. The most famous composition of these years is "The Irony of Fate" to the music from the film "The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath".

After 2007, the band stopped releasing new songs for several years.

In 2008, Kirill Andreev participated in the show "Circus with the Stars". In March 2008, while preparing an illusion number for the show, he fell unsuccessfully at rehearsals, broke his arm and was forced to leave the show, but he was not going to stop performing in the group even while wearing a cast.

November 13, 2010 Ivanushki International got together in CROCUS CITY HALL in honor of the band's 15th anniversary.

On November 19, 2010, the First Channel showed the release of the show “Property of the Republic”, dedicated to Igor Matvienko. The program included 10 songs by the composer, including four songs from the Ivanushki repertoire. "Ivanushki" themselves sang "Poplar Fluff".

The dresser of the group is Yulia Grigoryeva-Apollonova, Andrey's elder sister. There were many rumors about her among Ivanushki fans (she was considered a make-up artist, administrator, mistress of one of the participants).

In February 2013, Oleg Yakovlev announced his departure from the group, planning to be realized solo. He was replaced by Kirill Turichenko.

The birthday of "Ivanushki" can be called November 10, 1994, by the way, then one of the members of the group Igor Sorin was born. Three people, namely Igor Sorin, Andrey Grigoriev-Apollonov and Kirill Andreev, wanted to get into the group as much as they did something incredible. And, of course, they were chosen at the audition. But, the name did not yet exist. The poet Herman Vitka came up with the idea of ​​calling them "Ivanushki", and Igor Matvienko, pointing to the modernity of the group, added "International".
For three years, the group recorded quite a few songs, and performed mainly in clubs and casinos. The first clip "Universe" did not bring much popularity or success.

In 1998, Igor Sorin left the group, who decided to pursue a solo career. Despite all the persuasion of other musicians, he still left Ivanushki. But he did not have a solo career. On September 1, 1998, Igor, according to investigators, fell out of the balcony on the 6th floor and died in the hospital.

Ivanushki International: Poplar fluff

The place of Igror Sorin is occupied at that time by the still almost unknown Oleg Yakovlev. He was noticed back in 1997, when he starred in the video "Ivanushki" "Doll". The second member of the original composition of the Ivanushki group is Kirill Andreev. Kirill is a Muscovite, born April 6, 1971. From the first days, Andreev got used to the image of a macho, the main seducer of women's hearts. The textured appearance was the reason why Igor Matvienko invited the young man to the casting.

Cyril, up to this point, worked as a model and did not even think about a musical career. However, as it turned out, the vocal data of Kirill Andreev fit well for the Ivanushki trio.

From the open and cheerful Andrei and the brutal Kirill, the third member of the group, Igor Sorin, was distinguished by great outward calmness and thoughtfulness. Igor made such an impression for a reason - it was he who became the author of many of the band's songs. The creative beginning was traced in Igor since childhood (the singer was born on November 10, 1969 in Moscow). Theatrical studio, music school, stage work - all this shaped Igor's talent and allowed him to become the idol of thousands of music lovers.

Unfortunately, Igor did not stay with the band members for a long time: in 1998, the musician decided to start a solo project. And in September of the same year, Sorin died. The singer fell from the balcony of the 6th floor. A few days later, Igor Sorin died in the hospital.

Igor's place in the Ivanushki International group was taken. Oleg was distinguished by an unusual oriental appearance, artistry and excellent plasticity, which allowed the singer to perform incredible dance somersaults on stage. Oleg Yakovlev was born on November 18, 1970 in the Mongolian city of Choibalsan.

The singer quickly found a common language with the rest of the Ivanushki, and also won the love of music lovers. In this, Oleg was helped not only by charm, but also by talent: the musician also had a music school, an athletics section, and even experience working on the theater stage.

Oleg Yakovlev, by a strange and tragic coincidence, added to the list of deceased members of the group. In 2013, the musician left the band to pursue a solo career. And four years later, in 2017, the fans were shocked by the news. As it became known later, Oleg died due to aggravated pneumonia and cirrhosis of the liver.

The place of Oleg Yakovlev in 2013 was taken by another Kirill by name. The new member of Ivanushki is a little younger than his colleagues: the artist was born on January 13, 1983 in Odessa. Perhaps that is why the young man quickly became part of the team and behaved at concerts as if he had worked with the Ivanushki International group from the very beginning.

Igor Matvienko, gathering a team for a new group, planned to create a completely new style of performance. As a result, the producer and musicians really managed to combine several directions in the songs: shades of Russian folk music, the best traditions of the Soviet stage and, of course, Western dance rhythms.

The very first album, released in 1996, gave the group the popularity and love of millions of fans and admirers. And the compositions "Universe" (cover of the song), "Ring", "Clouds" are still popular and relevant.

The following year, the band gave fans two albums at once - “Of course he (remix)” and “Your Letters”. The first included remixes and updated versions of already popular songs, while the second consisted of new releases and cover versions of popular songs by other artists. And again, the popularity of the records surpassed even the bold expectations of the soloists and the producer.

The first clips appear, which at that time were played, perhaps, on all channels. In 1997, fans get acquainted with a new member of the group - Oleg Yakovlev, who first appeared in the video for the song "Dolls". Another hit, called "Poplar Fluff", was already recorded with the participation of Oleg.

1999 was marked for the band by the appearance of two more albums. The first, "Fragments of Life", was dedicated to the deceased Igor Sorin, collecting his unreleased songs and poems into one disc. The collection ended with the composition “I will never forget you”, which became an appeal to Igor. The second disc - "I'll scream about this all night" - presented the listeners with new compositions of their favorite group.

And two years later, fans got acquainted with the album "Oleg, Andrey, Kirill", which again blew up the charts. Oleg, Andrey and Kirill again found themselves surrounded by the love of fans and fame. Unfortunately, later this record will be called the last successful work of the Ivanushki International group. However, while the trio was at the top of popularity, and photos and posters of the soloists were kept, perhaps, in the collection of every music lover.

The next disc, released in 2005, "Ivanushki" summed up a kind of result of their own work, collecting under one cover the best songs of past years, performed together with the groups "Factory", "Roots" and other young bands. The album is called “10 Years in the Universe”.

A year later, the group presented to the audience a new composition called "Oriole". The verdict was disappointing: the song never became a hit. This was the beginning of the decline in the popularity of the group, the guys stopped recording compositions, but continued to constantly tour and participate in combined holiday concerts and popular TV shows.

The performers celebrated the group's fifteenth birthday on stage: a concert tour around the country and a gala concert in the capital allowed fans to meet their idols again and remember their favorite songs. And three years later, Ivanushki introduced a new member of the group - Kirill Turichenko, who replaced Oleg Yakovlev, who had gone on a solo voyage.

The red-haired soloist of Ivanushki International was born on July 26, 1970 in the sunny city of Sochi. His father is a surgeon, and his mother was the administrator of the winter theater.
