Shoes. Any beach shoes, the easiest option is flip flops or flip flops. This is if you do not want to or the site does not allow you to walk barefoot. First, cut off the tops of the pineapples. Try to cut straight so that the palm does not collapse. From all pineapples, remove the core, except for the first. Since the first pineapple will be the basis for the palm tree, it must be sustainable.
When all the elements are ready, take the skewers. You will need 5 skewers for the lower part, and 4 for the upper part. Pierce the bottom pineapple with skewers and place a new one on top.
To keep the leaves well, you can attach them with a hot glue gun. And the real palm tree is ready!
Place wicker baskets filled with pineapples, bananas, coconuts and mangoes nearby. They will create a tropical mood. Here we should not forget about the popular skewers. They will add color to your dishes. And, in general, fruit compositions will very refresh the table and the holiday itself.
For the entourage of the Hawaiian Islands, create a romantic corner. Find unusual flowers (not daisies, for example, but orchids). Collect pebbles on the street, and even better by the sea, take a transparent container, immerse everything in water, and light candles. Depending on the colors, this composition can become a splash of color in your holiday interior.

Cloth
Clothing is important for a Hawaiian party. If there is an opportunity to spend a holiday by the pool, then of course, the clothes will be bathing. If not, offer the birthday girl or birthday girl to make leis for her friends - an indispensable decoration for a Hawaiian birthday.
For one such garland, prepare 1 roll of crepe paper. A roll of crepe paper will need to be cut across in a wrapped form across into rolls of 5 cm. Women's clothing for a Hawaiian party is a bodice, top or shirt, hula skirt, and floral decorations (leaves and/or flowers). The national costume looks something like this:
1. The top can be as open as possible. For a beach, pool or summer party in nature, a swimsuit bra is enough, bright and colorful. Traditional coconut bodices look very natural and symbolic, but wearing them is inconvenient - they hinder movement, rub and rub. Therefore, it is still better to dwell on the fabric. If the party is indoors or you do not want to please the opposite sex with a skimpy top, put on a top or shirt in red (sun), blue (sky), blue (sea) or green (palm trees) colors.
Decorate the cups of the bodice with lush flower buds if you want to add volume to the forms.
2. Hula skirt from fabric imitating palm leaves, from raffia straws or just a short piece of bright matter, as in the first photo above. The traditional length of the skirt is just below the knee or to the ankle, but on the occasion of the holiday, you can not hide beautiful legs. Since making a skirt for a Hawaiian party is not difficult at all, you can do without running around the shops. For assembly, you will need artificial or natural raffia (needlework supplies) and an elastic band.

Instead of raffia, you can use thin strips of any thick paper or fabric, Christmas tree rain or packing tapes that decorate and tie bouquets.
Fold the raffia in half and measure the desired length. We apply the fold to the elastic band, pass the end of the raffia through the "loop", tighten. And so we tie each “blade of grass”, tightly shifting the loops to make the skirt more magnificent. The more raffia, the more voluminous the hem. At the end, you just need to tie the edges of the elastic, wrapping the resulting fringe around the waist. An elastic band and knots will be hidden by a belt of flowers or leaves.
If you are very embarrassed by a frank Hawaiian party, a do-it-yourself skirt made of “palm” leaves will reliably hide your legs from prying eyes. From the green fabric we cut out narrow ovals, pointed at one end - the leaves. The length of the ovals is the length of the skirt. The underside of the leaves will develop, revealing the knees and thighs. The upper part is gathered on the petticoat. It is very easy to sew it: a “steering wheel”, the radius of which is the length of the petticoat, and the hole is the volume of the waist. We sew an elastic band along the waist, and then we sew the “leaves” directly to the petticoat so that each “sheet” runs a little over the next one, overlapping:
There is no desire to sew a costume for a Hawaiian party with your own hands, but there is simply no time for running around carnival shops? Buy a bright dress or sundress of any length made of natural fabric with floral ornaments. In secret, modern Hawaiian natives wear just such clothes, and not palm skirts:

3. Flower garlands or leaves adorn the waistband of the skirt, the neck (lei) and, optionally, the ankles and wrists. On the head is a wreath or a large flower supporting a strand of loose wavy hair. But there is one “but” here: the owner of the house presents the lei garland to the guests, and I want it to be combined with the rest of the decorations. Therefore, this point should be discussed in advance with the party organizer (if you are a guest) or with guests (if you organize the holiday yourself).
Garlands and bracelets with an elastic band or elastic band will not tear during active fun. A flowered headband or wire ring stays in the hair better than a regular wreath (although the wreath can be pinned with hairpins).
Garlands, wreaths and bracelets can be bought at a carnival costume store, ordered online, assembled from fresh flowers (which is quite expensive) or made from fabric / paper. The material is better to choose corrugated, light - the buds are lush and lifelike. To enhance the impression - a drop of floral perfume. Bright manicure-pedicure, juicy lips, lush eyelashes, a little bronze blush and light slippers - you are ready to travel to Hawaii!

And what to wear to a Hawaiian party for the stronger sex? The same for girls! Except for the bra, of course. The same floral decorations, the same skirt made of raffia, leaves or fabric. Seductive naked top, to the delight of the girls who were amused. Slippers, and you can go barefoot to the beach or to the pool.
I wanted something brighter and more original. Of all the thematic diversity, we have chosen one of the easiest in terms of organization Hawaiian style party. We celebrated a birthday in the winter, in January 2015. The venue was chosen sauna, and to be quite precise - a bath. We organized everything together, it took five days to prepare. Considering that these were just working days, there was not enough time. It would be better to start preparations two weeks in advance.
There are hundreds of articles on the Internet about the Hawaiian party, but in none of the ones I read did I find a mention that this is a rather expensive entertainment.
1. Choice of place and time.
Since our task was to celebrate a birthday in winter, the option in nature was not considered. Hawaii is warm, naked and fun. Therefore, we decided to hold a party in the sauna or bath. In total, there were 11 people at the celebration, so it was important for us to have a large square table. Everyone should sit together, and there is no need to stretch far. They also looked after a larger pool, in the chosen bath it was 5 by 3 meters in size. The steam room itself does not play a special role. In the recreation room there were billiards and table tennis - they will not interfere if there are fans of chasing balls. Birthday fell on a Friday. The guests were invited to 6 pm. The bath was ordered for six o'clock, that is, until midnight. True, then another hour was extended.
2. Decorating a Hawaiian Party.
This is one of the most important tasks. It is the entourage that sets the tone and mood. You can make a good holiday decor with your own hands. We didn’t have enough time for creativity, so we preferred to order jewelry online. We bought a banner-decoration "Hawaiian windows", a banner-frame for a photo, plates and napkins with the theme "Hawaii", straws-umbrellas and peaks with pineapples for cocktails, special glasses for cocktails shots (Shot Drinks) and Longs (Long Drinks) and the main decoration of the party - an inflatable palm-pool.

Since we had bright patterned napkins and plates, we decided to take a plain white tablecloth. I think it would be nice to buy or make yourself the so-called "skirt" for the table. We also took an electric garland with us and decorated the room with it.
3. Outfits.
The idea to hold a themed Hawaiian party came to us exactly a week before the celebration. Immediately called friends so that they had time to prepare the appropriate outfits. The dress code is very important. You must be all like the Polynesian natives. It creates a festive atmosphere, brings together and provides cool photos.
It is advisable for guys to buy bright Hawaiian shorts and a shirt. If you are celebrating in the sauna or bath, as we are, then the shirt is optional.
Girls wear Hawaiian skirts. You can buy them or make your own. We made everything on our own or simply picked up bright short skirts from the wardrobe. The birthday girl had a full-fledged native costume with bandages on her arms and legs.
For all those invited, we made lei - Hawaiian flower beads. To save money, we made the lei ourselves. To do this, they bought artificial flowers and planted them on a fishing line. They also made hair clips for girls with their own hands. 
Explain to the invitees that themed outfits are required. And whoever comes not according to the dress code will get a wet towel on the ass!
4. Menu.
Remember that this is a fun active party, and not a traditional many hours of feast. Two things are important when preparing meals:
1) after a working day, people are hungry and want to eat;
2) guests cannot be overfed, otherwise they will become lazy, and everything will come down to banal gluttony.
Our menu included:
- Chops and cutlets;
- Korean carrot;
- Red cabbage salad;
- Olives are black and green;
- Fruits: bananas, apples, oranges, tangerines, lemons, pomelo, pineapple;
- hard cheese;
- Bars of black, milk and white chocolate;
- Juices.
Chops and cutlets were wrapped in pita bread, Korean carrots, red cabbage salad, mustard, ketchup and sauce were added. It turned out tasty and satisfying. Here is a bouquet of pineapple, orange slices and kiwi presented by guests to the birthday girl. 
5. Drinks.
Of course they were cocktails! For cooking we used:
- Tequila silver;
- Vodka is ordinary;
- Vodka red Finlandia - taken because of the color for multi-layered cocktails;
- Marengo (Marengo) - vermouth;
- Campari (Campari) - red liqueur;
- Blue Curaçao - dark blue syrup;
- Grenadine (Grenadine) - red syrup;
- Mint green liqueur;
- Malibu - rum liqueur;
- Juices in assortment: banana, pineapple, orange, grapefruit, cherry and some more.
Hint 1. For the preparation of layered (puff) cocktails, it is better to use dense juices (banana, orange) - they do not mix, and the boundaries of the layers remain clear.
Hint 2. Two days before the celebration, frost your cocktails with ice using special ice packs. To make the ice colored, we added Grenadine, Blue Curacao and orange juice to the water. Red, blue and yellow ice cubes looked good in glasses later.
6. Music.
On the Internet, I downloaded a couple of dozen songs of Hawaiian origin and themes. Selected the best for your taste. It turned out tracks for half an hour of time. Basically enough. We included Hawaiian music only for the first 30-40 minutes of the party to create the appropriate atmosphere. Then he launched the actual dance pop music, cheerful and rhythmic. I think listening to monotonous Hawaiian music for several hours can get boring.

7. Hawaiian party scene.
We arrived at the bathhouse 20 minutes before the scheduled start of the holiday. The preparation was done by three of us, and it took 50 minutes. As a result, the guests waited half an hour downstairs. We didn't let them in until everything was ready. During this time, we laid the table, arranged the dishes, puffed up a palm tree and threw the brought ice into it, hung decorations, peeled and cut fruit, organized music, prepared shots, lei and hairpins. 
Hint 3. If you're throwing a Hawaiian-style party in the sauna, it's best to book an hour early and use that time to prepare. It is desirable that by the beginning of the event all the guests were already assembled.
At half past six, we finally allowed the guests to enter. The bathhouse was two-story: on the first - a steam room and a pool, on the second - rest rooms. The room with the table was on the second floor. Together with the birthday girl, they met guests on the stairs. Each guest approached in turn, took a glass with a multi-colored cocktail from a tray and drank. After that, the guest was put on a lei (garlands of flowers made by us) around the neck. This is a strict pass to the party. 
Then everyone went to change. For the next half hour, we looked at each other's costumes and took pictures.
We sat down at the table and prepared cocktails. Toasts and a traditional song for the birthday girl. Until the guests satisfy their hunger, there is no point in organizing contests and quizzes. 
Then they steamed in the bathhouse and dived in the pool.
Competitions and entertainment for the Hawaiian party.
From my own experience, I can say that 3 or 4 good contests are enough. You just won't be able to do too much.
As a fun activity, we attached a photo frame banner to the doorway. It cost only a few dollars, but the sea brought emotions and fun. 
They also decorated the pool with hundreds of burning candles. It was very beautiful and romantic. 
We held the first competition at half past ten in the evening, i.e. three hours after the start of the celebration.
Contest "Who has tequila?" This is more of a raffle than a contest. But really cool, if no one knows what the joke is. It is well suited for warming up when the audience is not yet warm enough with alcohol. The conditions are like this. Those who wish to participate are invited, 4 people. They are offered glasses on a tray, of which there are as many as the participants. The host announces that one of them contains tequila, and the rest - plain water. Outwardly, it is impossible to understand where tequila is. The glasses are filled by the presenter before the competition so that no one sees. Each participant must choose a glass; sniffing, of course, is not allowed. The facilitator then explains the rules. The participant must drink the contents so that the others do not guess what he has. You can drink with Poker face, or you can make faces. The task of the audience is to guess who has the tequila. Participants take turns drinking. When the last one knocks over a glass, the audience makes bets. The joke of the competition is that tequila is in all glasses. After all the bets, the presenter asks each participant what he drank. Everyone says, "Tequila, tequila, tequila, tequila." And it causes laughter.
After this contest, it's fun to discuss who held on. We filmed everything on video. Then it is interesting to review the reaction of each participant during the process. In our case, the first was a girl who does not drink hard liquor. She drank with such courage, without blinking, that I myself believed that she had water. And I filled the glasses. The second participant, a guy, grimaced heavily, obviously overacting. The next girl drank clean, but closed her eyes at the end. We only noticed it on the video. Then they didn't even notice. The last participant slammed like ordinary water. But after about 15 seconds, he barely exhaled through his mouth.
I advise you to immediately give all participants a slice of lime, lemon or orange. Purely out of pity.
We gave the first participant a prize for her perseverance - funny Hawaiian glasses. They caused so much enthusiasm among the audience that everyone wanted to be photographed in them.
Competitions in the pool.
Initially, one was planned, but since the losers wanted revenge, two were held. With a lunch break, of course. The second competition was with slightly more complex rules. I will describe it.
Two teams of 5 people. Each is given an inflatable ring and a ball. One circle was pink with Barbie, the second was blue with Spiderman. Similar coloring balls. Everyone gets up from one side of the pool. On the other, the participants are waiting for glasses with three-layer shots. The game is a relay race. The first dives and floats on an inflatable circle to the opposite wall of the pool. There he drinks, turns to face the team and holds a circle on the water in front of him. The next player, standing on the side of the pool, must throw the ball into the circle. You can help by trying to catch. Some spend 3-4 attempts before they hit. As soon as the ball hits the circle, the first participant swims back and passes to the second. Everything repeats until a full circle has passed. The team that finishes the relay first wins.
We filmed both competitions in the pool. The rival team called themselves "Wild Cobras" and very artistically depicted hissing snakes in the camera lens. In response, we called ourselves "Home Blackouts", and once in the frame, we stuck out our tongues and tilted our heads to one side. It was fun. According to the results of two relay races, the score is 1:1.
Souvenirs and prizes. I already wrote about glasses. Also, the most active guests were presented with beads with a pile and a Hawaiian amulet. In addition, all those who came to mind were presented with themed fridge magnets. At first they wanted to buy different magnets, and then they decided that the same ones would even be more interesting. You can see the same magnet visiting each other as a reminder of a fun party.
A few days after the celebration, we realized our mistakes and omissions. Throwing a Hawaiian-style party:
- Hire a professional photographer for a couple of hours. Bright, juicy photos will please you and your guests. And then there will be something to post on social networks. To save money, you can find a photographer who has posted a resume or a job search (vacancy). You can bargain with them on quite acceptable terms. It is not necessary that he then process the images in a graphical editor. The main thing is that the photos are of high quality and with good interesting angles.
- Hire a bartender. In this case, the cocktails will be tastier, more varied, and the glasses are always filled. Again, to save money, you can invite an unemployed representative of this profession.
- Buy a couple real cigars. Their main purpose will be to give color to photographs. Then, if desired, you can smoke.
A birthday in a restaurant is the day before yesterday. Music yells, everyone communicates only with those sitting next to them. They overeat, they get drunk. Someone is on the phone, someone tends to leave early ... A familiar picture?
Throw themed parties and you won't regret it. It's a great time and great memories.
