I had to start from the basics. But Igor was stubborn from childhood, justifying his surname. In the 6th grade, he already led the school ensemble, and in the senior classes he organized dance evenings to the accordion. Therefore, they did not bother with the choice of a future profession for a long time. On the way to being a musician, on the advice of his mother, Igor began to prepare for entering a music school. For this, it was necessary to learn how to play the piano. A guy from a provincial town had to play scales for a whole year before he went to the district center to apply. From 1970 to 1974 Igor Krutoy is a student of the Kirovograd Musical College. He brilliantly graduated and dreamed of entering the Kyiv Conservatory. However, Igor was cut off in the history of the CPSU (most likely, there was another reason: the notorious fifth point then did not give a ticket to many talented people. The 70s was the heyday of anti-Semitism in the USSR. a certain nationality was almost impossible to enter). Igor had no choice but to return to his native Gayvoron and engage in teaching the younger generation to play the button accordion in the district. But he did not betray his dream of studying. In 1975, Igor became a student of the conducting department of the Nikolaev Musical and Pedagogical Institute. 
Studying away from home is unsweetened, you can’t live on one scholarship, and in the evenings Igor worked part-time in a restaurant, where he met Alexander Serov, who later brought the composer his first laurels. In 1979, Igor graduated from the university, in his immediate plans - the conservatory. And again he was disappointed. But he did not give up: the perseverance inherent in the surname manifested itself in full. Igor continues to work in restaurants, got a job at the VIA "Singing cabin boys" at the Nikolaev Philharmonic. This group was a favorite on all the dance floors of the city, it performed not only the popular songs of the Beatles, but also hits written by Krutoy. 
The talent did not go unnoticed, and Igor was invited to the Panorama Moscow Concert Orchestra. Here he met famous musicians: L. Smetannikov, V. Miguley, P. Bulbul ogly. And in 1980 he composed for the Blue Guitars. A year later, he already directs the ensemble of Valentina Tolkunova. In 1986, Igor entered the Saratov Conservatory. He became a student of the composer faculty. And a year later, Alexander Serov with "Madonna" Krutoy won the "Song of the Year 87". And in 1988, the same performer took first place in international competitions with Krutoy's songs "Inspiration" and "Destiny Spite". After this triumph, the first recognition of merit came to Igor. Igor justifies the secret of his popularity not only with his talent. He believes that the surname also played a role. In the late 80s and early 90s, the word "cool" took on a different meaning. Having graduated with honors in 1970 from the theoretical department of the Kirovograd Musical College, the young man decided to try his luck at the Kyiv Conservatory, but did not enter.
After working for a year as a teacher at a music school in his native Gayvoron, Krutoy became a student at the conducting department of the Musical Pedagogical Institute in the city of Nikolaev.
Combining his studies with work as a waiter in a restaurant, Igor met Alexander Serov. The meeting became fateful - he began to write songs for the performer.
The further creative fate of Krutoy is interesting and rich:

However, a long quarrel with Serov did not lead to creative downtime - gradually Igor Krutoy became an increasingly sought-after composer, and very soon he gained the fame of one of the main domestic hit-makers. In the mid-nineties, Alla Pugacheva, Irina Allegrova, Valery Leontiev, Alexander Buinov, Igor Nikolaev and other stars sang his songs. And in 1997, after the release of the video “Unfinished Romance”, in which he sang a duet with Allegrova, the whole country recognized the composer by sight, they began to take autographs from him on the streets. Many were worried about the question: “Did Igor Krutoy have an affair with Irina Allegrova?” Of course it wasn't.
Igor Krutoy met his first wife Lena when he came to Leningrad on tour in the late seventies. And in 1979 they got married. At first, the young lived in Leningrad, but Igor could not get a job in the city on the Neva. And then he was just invited to Moscow, to the Panorama orchestra. In the same year, their son Nikolai was born. At first, the couple rented a house, then Elena exchanged a Leningrad apartment for a Moscow one. In addition to composing, in the late eighties, Igor Krutoy took up producing activities - in 1989, thanks to his efforts, the Ars company appeared (at first it was called the ARS Youth Center), which quickly became one of the largest concert and production organizations engaged not only in "promotion" artists and the release of audio and video, but also the production of television programs, the organization of tours of foreign stars. Also, starting in 1994, Igor Krutoy began to hold his annual creative evenings with the participation of Russian pop stars. These concerts once again prove how hard Krutoy works: every year the concert participants present new songs to his music.
In 2003, Igor Krutoy, together with Raymond Pauls, organized the New Wave competition for young performers, and then the Children's New Wave, and in 2004 he became the producer of Star Factory-4. In addition to songs for artists, Krutoy writes a lot of instrumental music, in addition, he wrote music for the films “A Souvenir for the Prosecutor” (1989), “Thirst for Passion” (1991), “Hostages of the Devil” (1992). The wedding ceremony of Victoria Krutoy and her chosen one, hereditary restaurateur David Berkovich, took place on the coast of the Ligurian Sea, in Monte Carlo, in the Principality of Monaco. Victoria and David got married a month and a half ago in America - the official registration of the marriage took place in the suburbs of New York, in the Hamptons, on June 1. A few weeks later in Monaco, they became husband and wife according to Jewish custom. "Women can cry!" Baskov allowed. And Vladimir Vinokur called the next five hours of the holiday "perhaps the best concert of Igor Krutoy." And the truth is: the guests did not get bored for a minute. The toasts were followed by the performances of the artists, and it seems that absolutely all the guests danced to their hits. During short intermissions, videos were shown on large plasma screens. In one, the voice-over told the love story of Victoria and David.
In another, made up - as if they were under a hundred years old - the newlyweds themselves recalled how they met and fell in love with each other. In the third, Tatyana Berkovich's close friend, Gosha Kutsenko, who recently became a father for the second time, congratulated Victoria and David, walking with a baby carriage.
According to Jewish tradition, the marriage ceremony is usually followed by a light kosher dinner and Jewish songs are performed. However, since a large international company of friends and relatives congratulated the young, both the Jewish “Mazal Tov” and the Russian “Bitter!” sounded that day, and on the tables there were dishes from different cuisines of the world - pancakes with red and black caviar, foie gras, medallions beef, risotto with white truffles, sea bass with champagne sauce, tomatoes with Italian mozzarella and much, much more.
