What to read to preschoolers? How to instill in children a love for sports and a healthy lifestyle Authors for children 5 6 years old.

What are the biggest mistakes parents make? It is impossible to find such a person who would never make mistakes. What mistakes do parents make most often, and how to recognize their miscalculations?

Many parents are wondering how to teach a child to be independent, since such a nuance is a pillar of the educational process. The best and lasting effect will come out if you explain to him the idea and purpose of what is happening. The child must understand what is happening, connect events with causes, and draw their own conclusions. This means the inevitable passage of the ill-fated “why” stage, when the child is interested in the reasons for literally everything that catches his eye. But at the same time, there is a very useful inculcation of the habit of getting to the bottom of the real reason for everything that happens.

Most often, a diet for teenagers is needed to lose weight. Obesity is a threat to many teenagers today much more often than before. This is due to an increase in the amount of food consumed, a large number of too fatty, harmful foods on the menu.

Psychologically, fear is a negative emotion. It occurs in cases of danger to human life and health, both physical and mental. Perhaps the emergence of fears as a result of the negative impact on the human psyche of social factors.

For many parents, such a phrase as dysgraphia in children will not say anything. In the USSR, this disease was known, but little attention was paid to its diagnosis. A kid suffering from problems with spelling and writing could be told more about the need for attentiveness, perseverance, the importance of knowing the rules of spelling. Pathology was diagnosed in exceptional cases, when it was quite difficult to suggest any alternative options. According to statistics, this disease is rarely pronounced.

I am very strongly "for" poetry at this age. Chukovsky, Marshak, Baruzdin, Aleksandrova. And if you find it (lately I rarely see him), then also Pyotr Vegin ("Katya's secrets") - they are very mischievous, more fun than previous authors. For all of these, the poetic presentation is very close to the usual prose text, to the usual construction of sentences, which allows the child to learn the meaning well. At the same time, these children's poems are very rhythmic, they allow the child to feel the rhyme, intonation (especially when the rhythm changes), and with repeated reading, remember even a very large volume of the poem and repeat the lines after you. Due to the simplicity of presentation, it is very easy for a child to perceive the entire text by ear, to retain the entire plot in memory (for comparison: at this age I already read it myself, so I coped with all sorts of Saltans, Golden Cockerels and Humpbacked Skates - forgive me for dragging Ershov to Pushkin, but they are very similar; and I read them to my son, he had to perceive by ear, and because of the abundance of unfamiliar words and phrases, because of the change in stress in many words, the child lost the thread of the story; we he was stopped reading and sometimes parsed straight into several paragraphs so that he understood what it was about.I don’t claim that this is the case for all children; it’s even easier for someone to navigate by ear, but here we are faced with this)

At such a young age, a child can only judge how tasty and convenient the book is to use - in other words, whether it fits in the mouth. However, reading aloud to unintelligent babies is not at all as pointless as it seems at first glance. Firstly, this is a kind of communication with the child, and secondly, by listening to you, the baby learns to speak. Poems and songs are especially useful: even very tiny babies perceive the rhythm well and are able to distinguish between parental intonations.

How to read?

  • In a quiet environment. Remove toys that might distract your child and turn off your computer and TV.
  • Expressively and emotionally recite, carefully pronouncing all the sounds. Speak lower, higher, faster and slower - in general, in good faith entertain the baby.
  • Show the baby pictures: it’s good if you have different versions of images of the same creatures.
  • Demonstrate to the child those actions that are mentioned in poems and nursery rhymes. Butt heads for a horned goat, stomp for a clubfoot bear and growl for a tiger.
  • As soon as the baby gets bored with the book, stop reading and set it aside for a day.

What to read?

  • Short correctly rhymed poems about animals, toys and the world around.
  • Poems with onomatopoeia.

What to buy?

  • Durable, "indestructible" and safe toy books that can be chewed, crushed and even bathed in the bath with pleasure.
  • Books with "live" illustrations: furry little animals, croaking frogs, etc.
  • Books with simple, bright and realistic pictures.

Now the child already understands the words that adults say, shows interest in everything around and tries his best to imitate mom and dad. One fine day, you may find that the baby is very intently "reading" aloud to his plush zoo. In general, it's time to start more serious and meaningful reading!

How to read?

  • Turn reading into a child-friendly ritual. For example, do this before going to bed - always at the same time.
  • If you started reading a fairy tale to your baby, and he fell asleep or was distracted, then next time you will have to start from the first page. It is still difficult for such young children to remember and combine different episodes of the same story in their heads.
  • Do not be lazy to read the same thing over and over, if your little conservative asks for it. Use children's love of repetition to memorize poems and stories.
  • Do not be afraid to take on texts with words unfamiliar to the child. First, most likely he understands much more than you think. And secondly, the expansion of vocabulary will greatly spur the development of speech.

What to read?

  • Short tales. Let them highlight one event or several, but occurring linearly, that is, one after another.
  • Small poems (4-12 lines).
  • Poetic riddles.
  • Animals and toys are still at the peak of popularity. But now the kid is no longer happy with the cheerful story that “ko” are grazing in the meadow - now he needs some kind of relationship between the characters, interaction.

What to buy?

  • Books with large and very simple illustrations that correspond to the text.
  • Look for books that allow your child to do something on their own - stick stickers, color pictures.
  • Give preference to durable and inexpensive editions, the time for reading rare books will come later.

If a child has not yet learned and loved to read, this is such a tragedy, next to which even the death of Pompeii fades. At least, this is what everyone around you will begin to convince you of! In no case do not succumb to these provocations and do not panic: everything will be fine - and read, and love, and even ask you to write it down in the library.

    How to read?

    • The child already quite decently perceives the text read in a normal parental voice. But, of course, a slight intonation does not hurt.
    • Children no longer get hung up on one fairy tale as much as they used to, but for better perception it still makes sense to read books several times - it’s easier to remember the details.
    • Read chapter by chapter, if they are small, otherwise divide the text into separate semantic pieces on your own. This "fractional approach" will help arouse in the child the desire to learn to read independently. Stop literally “at the most interesting place”, and then feel free to start doing your own thing: if you want to know what will happen next, let him take the book himself.
    • If your child's questions confuse you, then together with him look for answers to them in paper encyclopedias and reference books. The Internet in the matter of teaching reading is a bad helper, there are too many temptations.
    • Take your child to the children's library. Show and let them look through a variety of publications: miniature books and huge atlases or photo albums.

    What to read?

    • Adventure, full of exciting events stories, novels and novellas.
    • Stories in the spirit of “good fellows a lesson” are moderately moralizing and by no means boring.
    • Encyclopedias for preschoolers and younger students.
    • Teaching aids for preparing for school.
    • Books related to the events taking place around the child. For example, before the New Year, you can read stories about Grandfather Frost, and before May 9 - military stories.

    What to buy:

    • Books with complex illustrations designed for long study.
    • Children's magazines and comics.

Now not only you, but also his class teacher will determine the circle of reading for your child. Conclude an agreement with a young student: every month you go to a bookstore and buy two books there - you choose one, he chooses the second.

    How to read?

    • It's time to finish reading aloud, perhaps for five to ten minutes at night, so that you can sleep better. It's time for your child to start reading on their own.
    • Read fairy tales and fables by roles.
    • Teach your baby to compose poetry or, for example, write stories that continue his favorite books.
    • Watch the young bibliophile read aloud. Does he get confused in words, does he swallow syllables, does he put stress correctly, etc. Carefully correct all mistakes, and if the baby suddenly has problems with pronunciation and reading comprehension, be sure to consult a doctor.
    • A first-grader almost daily receives homework “to read the text from such and such to such and such a page” - as a result, a previously pleasant activity turns into a painful obligation for him. Do not forget to praise the student so that he does not lose motivation at all.

    What to read?

    • Unadapted children's works with a full-fledged plot and compound sentences.
    • That "everyone reads". At this age, it is very important for children to feel “their own” in a peer group, so you have to be patient a little.
    • E-books. There is no escape from technology, so it is better to use it for good.

    What to buy:

    • Books from the school curriculum.
    • Books about the hobbies of the child. If the kid loves cats, choose a zoological encyclopedia (or a cat detective), if he is fond of hockey - sports, etc. Even for cartoons and computer games that often distract children from reading, you can pick up appropriate novelizations or art books.

You don't need a college degree to understand that reading and child development are inextricably linked. All intellectual activity of a person depends on what his first experiences with books were.

It doesn't have to be thick encyclopedias and novels, and it's not just about literal texts. Modern books for children are whole works of art with many illustrations, interactive tasks, and even sound accompaniment.

In this article we will talk with you about what you can read to a child at 5 years old.

What books are interesting for children at 5 years old

Five year olds are very curious. This is the age of "why". They are interested in literally everything. Don't be surprised if your five-year-old asks you how the universe came to be or why the hour hand moves from right to left - even this is interesting to the child. And at this age it is good to explain to the little researcher that not only mom and dad know the answers to many of his questions - most of the information can be gleaned from books. But in order for the child to have a craving for finding answers to his questions, you need to open the book world to him. So where to start, what books will be interesting for a 5-year-old child?

Stories from plot

Children of this age are very good at remembering stories with a plot. Therefore, it is better to give preference to fairy tales, fables and stories with a small number of characters understandable to the child.

Remember that books must be illustrated. It is better that the drawings are colorful and multi-colored, rather than black and white. Before buying a book, scroll through the edition and check if the illustrations correspond to the content and logic of the text.

encyclopedias

You are mistaken if you think that a five-year-old child may not understand or remember a lot. Just the same, this age is the most favorable for absorbing information about the world around us, including encyclopedic information. Therefore, along with story books, you can buy children's educational encyclopedias.

Magazines and comics

In our opinion, this is the best way to present information to a child. Firstly, they are well suited for entertaining reading, and secondly, they have games, all kinds of developmental tasks and quick-witted questions.

Another feature of magazines and comics is that they are periodicals, that is, the child does not have to say goodbye to his favorite characters - adventures continue in each new issue.

In addition to the internal content of publications for children, pay attention to the formal aspects:

  • paper should be light and dense, preferably matte, so that it does not shine under lamp lighting;
  • The font must be large enough and printed only in black ink. Only headings can be colored;
  • A4 pages are ideal. Do not buy bulky and heavy editions.

For example, consider several magazines of different formats that a mother can look through with her child before going to bed.

"Far Far Away kingdom"

The main genre of literature for children 4-5 years is a fairy tale. One has only to hear the phrase “In a faraway kingdom, in a faraway state ...”, and now he, wide-eyed, freezes in anticipation of magical adventures.

- a place where real miracles live. The characters were created on the basis of Russian folk tales: the beautiful Vasilisa, the clever Lyubava, the brave Ivan. This bias is not accidental. Today, children watch a lot of cartoons, including foreign ones. They know who the Fixies and Peppa Pig are, but they have not heard of the Serpent Gorynych and the Bayun cat, but nevertheless it is very important to instill in kids a love for national culture from an early age.

Most of the plot stories in the Kingdom of Far Far Away are presented in the form of comics. So, the mother can leaf through the magazine with the child and voice the characters' lines, and the baby can follow the plot from the illustrations.

Stories and adventures not only entertain, but also teach the child new things, expand his knowledge of the world. For example, one of the numbers tells how Lyubava planted flowers. The child gets acquainted with the word "front garden" and learns that planting is a whole science: you need to dig up a garden, plant seeds, water them, shelter from the cold.

In the process of getting to know the stories of the characters, the child is asked to complete several tasks. Puzzles, varying in difficulty, are inscribed in the plot of the story. For example, in one of the rooms, Lyubava and her friends are planting flowers, and in order to help her, the kid must find an ax, a watering can, a bucket in the picture. Thus, he develops the ability to establish associative links between objects and gets an idea about garden tools.

Tasks are presented in different forms: riddles, coloring pages, logic puzzles. They are aimed at developing the child's perseverance, attention, imagination. Some tasks unobtrusively teach the baby to write and count.

"Dreamers"

The main characters of the magazine are simple guys: Nastya, Kolya and Vova. These characters constantly find adventure (or they do!) and find themselves in funny situations. The parrot Krendel and the cat Sandwich always tell instructive tales, the characters of which, after reading, can be colored with pencils or felt-tip pens. Stories are not only entertaining, but also teach to distinguish between good and evil, honor parents, not be afraid of difficulties, be faithful, brave and friendly.

The magazine is fully interactive: the child performs tasks together with the main characters, makes decisions, gets out of the intricate labyrinths. Kind and instructive stories tell about natural phenomena, animal life, the history of the appearance of objects, etc. Little inquisitive will find answers to all his questions!

"Fidget"

Children from an early age beg their parents for phones and tablets in order to play. Five-year-olds are already well versed in mobile applications, and it is not so easy to distract them with a book. Thanks to Fidget, a child can use gadgets to good use.

It is important that the magazine uses augmented reality technology. Imagine: you decide to read to your child before bed. Read a story, show an illustration, point your phone at it, and the picture comes to life! This format will interest the kid and make him turn over the pages of the magazine again and again.

The magazine will be a good help in preparing the child for school. By the first grade, the child should know letters, be able to add simple numbers. Finding time for classes and seating a child at a desk in order to learn some basics is not an easy task. With training will take place by itself. The stories, fairy tales and stories of the magazine will entertain the child, while the accompanying tasks will teach him something new.
