Unknown versions of fairy tales with scenes of violence that Disney toned down. Scary, creepy

15.06.2019

Probably, every girl dreams of becoming a sleeping beauty, who will be rescued from dreams by a handsome prince, as it was in the plot of a traditional European fairy tale. Book lovers saw a non-trivial story thanks to the literary edition of the Brothers Grimm and. By the way, these same writers worked on "" and other works that are familiar to both adults and children. The story about the bewitched girl migrated to the expanses of cinema and other literary creations.

History of creation

The tale of Sleeping Beauty was invented much earlier than you might think. Moreover, some researchers were looking for a hidden subtext. For example, there is an outdated theory of some folklorists who suggested that the thirteenth fairy - an outcast - was invented for a reason. The fact is that the thirteen-month lunar system was changed and reduced: thus, humanity “put in the center” not the Moon, but the Sun.

A familiar plot is found in the French work "Perseforest", which was published in the XIV century, but Charles Perrault based on a different source and relied on the plot, which is presented in Giambattista Basile's fairy tale "Sun, Moon and Thalia" (1634). Basile wrote about the royal daughter Thalia, whom the court astrologers predicted danger from flax.

In order not to condemn the child to an unenviable existence, the owners of the throne ordered all herbs to be removed from the castle, but such a precaution did not help, because after some time Talia saw an old woman spinning flax from the window. The girl asked to try spinning, but drove a splinter into her finger, which caused her death.

The frustrated king and queen did not bury their beloved daughter, but ordered the girl's body to be transferred to the country palace. Further in the plot, the king appears, who failed to wake the unfortunate princess. Since this man visited the girl for a reason, Thalia soon gave birth to two twins, one of which became her savior: instead of breasts, the boy began to suck his mother's finger and sucked a splinter out of it, due to which the main character woke up.

Later, that king returned to his mistress and, seeing the children, named them Sun and Moon. Further, his legal wife finds out about the betrayal of the king and prepares for all participants a dish that is usually served cold - revenge. In the real story, there are cruel motives, for example, the owner of the throne ordered the Sun and the Moon to be killed and made into a roast "with Robber sauce". However, the story of Thalia and the twins has a happy ending.

Charles Perrault could not allow children to see rape and cannibalism in the fairy tale. Therefore, the genius of literature did the same as with Little Red Riding Hood - he softened the especially "acute" moments, and also changed the reason for the girl's eternal sleep to the curse of the evil fairy.

Charles' tale is surrounded by a magical atmosphere and ends with a kiss and a wedding, while his predecessor described all the ordeals that a couple in love had to go through. Also, the master of the word changed the queen to the mother, and the king to the prince.

It is worth saying that Giambattista has a similar moment in the work “Young Slave”, in which the fairy curses the beautiful Lisa and prophesies her death due to the fact that her mother will leave a comb in her hair. By the way, the crystal coffin used by the Brothers Grimm in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs appears in this handwritten work.

The "lethargic" fairy tale by Charles Perrault was published in 1697 and was actually called "The Beauty in the Sleeping Forest". This work received recognition among the sophisticated public, especially since the author adjusted the creation to the courtly literature of that time, trying to dress the characters in noble costumes of the 17th century. And the girls blushed from the phrase:

“He approached her with trembling and admiration and knelt beside her.”

Perrault did not pursue the goal of impressing the public, because in every fairy tale, even if it is a children's work about wizards and fairies, there must be a philosophical overtone. So, the main idea of "Sleeping Beauty" is that the power of love is able to overcome any adversity. But for young readers there are other, adapted storylines - translations by N. Kasatkina, T. Gabbe, A. Lyubarskaya and other literary figures.

As for the Grimm brothers, not one main character falls asleep with them, but the whole kingdom, and the fairy tale ends at the moment the princess wakes up. To get to know the Russian mentality, you can turn to the creator of "", who wrote "The Tale of the Dead Princess".

Plot

The classic story begins with the birth of a daughter to the king and queen. In honor of this event, a grand feast was planned throughout the kingdom, where all the sorceresses were invited, except for one: that fairy had not appeared from her tower for half a century, and everyone thought she was dead. The uninvited guest nevertheless came to the celebration, but she did not have enough cutlery, so it seemed to the owner of the magic wand that she had been treated impolitely.

When the rest of the fairies presented the birthday girl with gifts, the old woman Carabosse uttered a cruel prophecy that the spindle prick would be fatal for the beauty. But still, another sorceress softens the sentence, because the last word wins the argument: the unfortunate girl will not die, but will fall into a deep sleep for exactly a hundred years. It is noteworthy that in the original retelling of Charles Perrault about the "invigorating" kiss of the prince is not mentioned.

Hearing the witch's prediction, the king ordered to burn all the spindles and spinning wheels, but his attempts to save his daughter are in vain: becoming an adult girl, the princess finds an old woman in the country tower of the castle, who did not know about the ban on spindles and was spinning a tow.

The main character decided to help, but pricked her finger on the spindle and fell dead. As soon as they didn’t wake up the princess: they sprinkled water on her face, rubbed her temples with fragrant vinegar, but no measures woke the king’s daughter.

The fairy, who at one time commuted the sentence, asked the owners of the castle to leave the place and plunged him into eternal sleep; all around grew tall trees. The young sorceress thought that the princess would be sad when she woke up in a hundred years and did not see a single familiar face. Therefore, the fairy touched each courtier with a magic wand, and they also fell asleep for a whole century. The king and queen avoided this trick, since, according to Perrault, the rulers have business that cannot be postponed for such a long time.

A hundred years later, a prince appeared in the castle, who did not know about the current situation, but heard from a passerby about the sleeping beauty and what a brave young man would awaken her. The king's son rode on his horse to an enchanted place, where he saw a young girl. When he knelt down, the princess pricked by the spindle woke up. Consequently, in the original Perrault there was no kiss, because the heroine woke up from the fact that exactly one hundred years had passed.

  • The composer also presented his own vision of the fairy tale, however, in a musical performance. The audience is still enjoying the Sleeping Beauty ballet of the same name.
  • In 1959, the film adaptation of the fairy tale about the sleeping beauty was presented by the cartoonist, embodying the concept of Charles Perrault into a full-length cartoon. The main characters were voiced by such actors and actresses as Mary Costa, Bill Shirley, Eleanor Audley, Verna Felton and Barbara Jo Allen.

  • Disneyland has a Sleeping Beauty castle built as a promotional tool. But the children's park opened in 1955, four years before the cartoon premiered. The origin of the castle was announced in 1957, because curious tourists were constantly interested in this building.
  • She appeared in the cartoon in the guise of an evil fairy. By the way, this heroine has become popular and even deserved a spin-off of the same name with the title role.

Many European peoples have a fairy tale about an evil sorceress and a princess in an enchanted dream. Over the past 400 years, the legend has been retold under various names about 1000 times. Novels are based on this fairy tale. The first of them - "Perseforest" by an unknown author, dates back to 1527.

However, the most famous version was the story of a beauty sleeping in the forest from the collection Tales of Mother Goose by Charles Perrault. The great storyteller wrote it in 1697.

Charles Perrault was the first to introduce a handsome prince into the legend, whose kiss removes the spell of an enchanted dream. So in the fairy tale there were three main characters: the sorceress, the princess and the prince.

About Sleeping Beauty

For the first time on the screen, the sorceress Maleficent, the princess and the prince were shown by Disney in 1959. The cartoon was called "Sleeping Beauty" and became the 16th animated project of the Disney film studio.

Disney's animated film Sleeping Beauty stands in stark contrast to the Brothers Grimm and Charles Perrault's versions of classic fairy tales. The main contradiction is that the German and French tales take up about three pages in total. The Disney writers needed to create an 80-minute movie.

The shooting took about ten years and more than $6 million was spent. The picture became the most expensive of all that were filmed at the Disney studio to that moment.

The cartoon received a worthy musical accompaniment based on the music of P. I. Tchaikovsky for the ballet Sleeping Beauty. In particular, 2 songs "Once upon a dream" and "I wonder" are based on the allegro waltz. It is the music, organically woven into the course of the narrative, that creates an allusion to the medieval life of the XIV century.

About "Maleficent"

Filming began on June 11, 2012 at the famous English studio Pinewood Studios. Most of the film was shot on the sites of this studio. For five months, six pavilions, several square kilometers of natural sites, as well as some other production areas.

About 40 decorated locations were created for filming - starting from a small room 3x3 meters and ending with a large hall with an area of 464 m2.

One of the outdoor venues was an old castle - a copy of the majestic building, which the animators painted in 1959, was exactly recreated, both inside and out. The floor was covered with real marble slabs, and the interior used genuine antiques.

It took 250 builders and 20 artists about 14 weeks to build and decorate the site.

The scenery of the nondescript house in which Aurora spent her childhood was built on the natural site of the London film studio Pinewood Studios. The house itself was made of timber, and the roof was hand-thatched using the technology used by professional roofers. There will be no more than 1,000 specialists in the whole of Great Britain who earn such an exotic craft.

About fabulous makeup

The plastic makeup team was led by seven-time Academy Award winner Rick Baker. Several specialists have dealt exclusively with Maleficent's false horns and ears. Other make-up artists spent several hours every morning putting makeup on the rest of the characters.

Baker and his assistants sculpted three different sets of horns, inspired by the original look.

The horns were made of polyurethane, a fairly light, but very durable material.

In order for the plastic overlays to exactly match the curves of Angelina Jolie's face, the make-up artists first made a cast of the actress's head and cast a plaster bust. It was subsequently used to fit the rubber pads on the cheekbones and ears. The procedure for applying complex plastic make-up took about four hours daily.

About fabulous costumes and spinning wheels

Costume designer Anna Sheppard and her team are literally handcrafted.

Angelina Jolie worked a lot with professional hatters, choosing the design of a headdress that would hide her character's horns. Six different hats were designed, including a summer python skin version. When Maleficent appeared at the christening, her horns were covered with a headdress that emphasized the unnatural whiteness of her skin.

Props David Balfour collected dozens of spinning wheels for the scene in which the king imposes a massive nationwide ban on the use of spindles. The spinning wheel is the only key element of the tale that has been repeated in all variations, from the very first legends to the present day. A prick of a finger with a spindle meant for all the princesses immersion in a deep sleep.

About actors and consultants

Sam Riley, who played the werewolf Diaval, rehearsed the movements that should be characteristic of a raven under the guidance of special trainers. Riley admits that the hours he spent with instructors were the most embarrassing of his entire acting career. He felt especially awkward when he had to run around the room, waving his arms and trying to croak at the same time. Even in human form, Riley in the form of Diaval had animal features - crow feathers stuck out in his hair, and there were absolutely black contact lenses in his eyes.

Played by Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Leslie Manville, performance capture technology was used. According to the plot, the growth of the heroines did not exceed half a meter, however, all the nuances of facial expressions were recorded and transferred with the utmost care. The visual effects team used 150 markers attached to the face of each of the actresses to convey the slightest grimace to the digitized characters. The fairies turned out to be very comical - with big heads, wide eyes. Many other proportions were also deliberately violated.

There lived a king and a queen. They did not have children, and this upset them so much that it is impossible to say. They didn’t give any vows, they went to the pilgrimage, and to the healing waters - it was all in vain.

And finally, when the king and queen lost all hope, they suddenly had a daughter.

Can you imagine what a holiday they arranged in honor of her birth! All the fairies that could be found in the country were invited to visit the little princess. The fact is that the fairies in those days had a wonderful custom: to endow their goddaughters with various wonderful gifts. And since there were seven fairies, the princess should have received at least seven virtues or virtues from them as a dowry.

The fairies and other guests gathered at the royal palace, where a festive table was laid for the guests of honor.

In front of the fairies, magnificent dining utensils and a box of solid gold were placed. In each drawer were a spoon, a fork and a knife - also made of pure gold of the finest workmanship, studded with diamonds and rubies. And so, when the guests sat down at the table, the door suddenly opened, and the old fairy entered - the eighth in a row - whom they forgot to call to the christening.

And they forgot to call her because for more than fifty years she did not leave her tower and everyone thought that she had died long ago.

The king ordered that the device be given to her too. The servants did it in an instant, but the golden box with the spoon, fork and knife was not enough for her share. Only seven of these boxes were prepared - one for each of the seven fairies.

The old fairy, of course, was very offended. She thought that the king and queen were impolite people and met her without proper respect. Pushing her plate and goblet away from her, she muttered some kind of threat through her teeth.

Fortunately, the young fairy, who was sitting next to her, heard her mumbling, and, fearing that the old woman would not take it into her head to give the little princess some very unpleasant gift, she, as soon as the guests got up from the table, crept into the nursery and hid behind the canopy of the bed. She knew that the one who has the last word usually wins in an argument, and she wanted her wish to be the last.

When dinner was over, the most solemn moment of the holiday came: the fairies went to the nursery and one after another began to present their gifts to the goddaughter.

The youngest of the fairies wished that the princess was the most beautiful in the world. Another fairy rewarded her with a gentle and kind heart. The third said that her every movement will cause delight. The fourth promised that the princess would dance excellently, the fifth that she would sing like a nightingale, and the sixth that she would play all musical instruments with the same skill.

Finally it was the turn of the old fairy. The old woman leaned over the bed and, shaking her head more from annoyance than from old age, said that the princess would prick her hand with a spindle and die from it.

Everyone shuddered when they learned what a terrible gift the evil sorceress had in store for the little princess. Nobody could keep from crying.

And just then the young fairy appeared from behind the canopy and said loudly:

Take comfort, king and queen! Your daughter will live. True, I am not so strong as to make what has been said unsaid. Sadly, the princess will have to prick her hand with a spindle, but she will not die from this, but will only fall into a deep sleep and will sleep for exactly a hundred years - until the handsome prince wakes her up.

This promise calmed the king and queen a little.

However, the king decided to still try to save the princess from the misfortune that the old evil fairy predicted for her. For this, by a special decree, he forbade all his subjects, under pain of death, to spin yarn and keep spindles and spinning wheels in his house.

Fifteen or sixteen years have passed. Once the king with the queen and daughter went to one of their country palaces.

The princess wanted to see the ancient castle, and, running from room to room, she finally reached the very top of the palace tower.

There, in a cramped closet under the roof, an old woman sat at a spinning wheel and calmly spun yarn. Oddly enough, she had not heard a word from anyone about the royal ban.

What are you doing, auntie? asked the princess, who had never seen a spinning wheel in her life.

I'm spinning yarn, my child, - the old woman answered, not at all guessing that she was talking to the princess.

Ah, this is very beautiful! - said the princess. Let me see if I can do as well as you.

The princess quickly grabbed the spindle and before she could touch it, the fairy's prediction came true: she pricked her finger and fell dead.

The frightened old woman began to call for help. People ran from all sides.

What they didn’t do: they splashed the princess in the face with water, clapped their hands on her palms, rubbed the whiskey with the fragrant vinegar of the Hungarian Queen, nothing helped.

Run after the king. He climbed into the tower, looked at the princess and immediately realized that the sad event that he and the queen had so feared had happened.

With sadness, he ordered the princess to be transferred to the most beautiful hall of the palace and laid there on a bed decorated with silver and gold embroidery.

It is difficult to describe in words how beautiful the sleeping princess was. She didn't fade at all. Her cheeks were rosy and her lips red like corals. Even though her eyes were tightly closed, you could hear her breathing softly.

So it really was a dream, not death.

The king ordered not to disturb the princess until the hour of her awakening comes.

And the good fairy, who saved her goddaughter from death by wishing her a hundred years of sleep, was at that time very far from the royal castle.

But she immediately learned about this misfortune from a little dwarf walker who had seven-league boots (these are such wonderful boots that you just need to put them on and you will walk seven miles in one step),

The fairy is on her way now. In less than an hour, her fiery chariot drawn by dragons had already appeared near the royal palace. The king gave her his hand and helped her to get off the chariot.

The fairy did her best to console the king and queen. And then, since she was a very prudent fairy, she immediately thought how sad the princess would be when, in a hundred years, the poor thing would wake up in this old castle and not see a single familiar face near her.

To prevent this from happening, the fairy did this.

With her magic wand, she touched everyone who was in the palace (except the king and queen). And there were courtiers, maids of honor, governesses, maids, butlers, cooks, cooks, runners, soldiers of the palace guards, gatekeepers, pages and lackeys.

She touched with her wand both the horses in the royal stable and the grooms who combed the horses' tails. She touched the big palace dogs and the little curly dog called Puff, which lay at the feet of the sleeping princess.

And now, everyone who was touched by the fairy wand fell asleep. They fell asleep exactly for a hundred years to wake up with their mistress and serve her as they served before. Even partridges and pheasants fell asleep, which were roasted on the fire. The spit on which they spun fell asleep. The fire that burned them fell asleep.

And all this happened in one single moment. Fairies know their stuff: wave your wand and you're done!

After that, the king and queen kissed their sleeping daughter, said goodbye to her and quietly left the hall.

Returning to their capital, they issued a decree that no one dared to approach the enchanted castle.

But this could not have been done, because in just a quarter of an hour so many trees, large and small, grew around the castle, so many thorny bushes - thorns and wild roses - and all this was so closely intertwined with branches that neither man nor beast could not get through such a thicket.

And only from a distance, and even from the mountain, one could see the tops of the towers of the old castle.

The fairy did all this so that no one's curiosity would disturb the peace of the sweet princess.

A hundred years have passed. Many kings and queens have changed over the years.

And then one day the son of the king, who reigned at that time, went hunting.

In the distance, above a dense dense forest, he saw the towers of some castle.

Whose castle is this? - he asked. - Who lives there?

Everyone answered him what he heard from others. Some said that these were old ruins in which ghosts live, others assured that all the witches in the area were celebrating their Sabbath in an abandoned castle. But most agreed that the old castle belonged to the cannibal. This cannibal seems to catch lost children and take them to his tower to eat without interference, since no one can follow him into his lair - after all, he alone in the world knows the way through the enchanted forest.

The prince did not know who to believe, but then an old peasant approached him and said, bowing:

Good prince, half a century ago, when I was as young as you, I heard from my father that in this castle the most beautiful princess in the world sleeps soundly and that she will sleep for another half a century, until her betrothed , the son of some king, will not come and wake her up.

Can you imagine how the prince felt when he heard those words!

His heart was on fire in his chest. He immediately decided that it was his lot to be lucky - to awaken the beautiful princess from sleep!

Without thinking twice, the prince pulled the reins and galloped in the direction where the towers of the old castle could be seen, where his love and glory were attracted.

And in front of him is an enchanted forest. The prince jumped off his horse, and immediately tall, thick trees, thorny bushes, thickets of wild rose - everything parted to give him the way. As if along a long straight alley, he went to the castle, which was visible in the distance.

The prince walked alone. None of his retinue managed to follow him - the trees, having missed the prince, immediately closed behind him, and the bushes again intertwined branches.

Such a miracle could frighten anyone, but the prince was young and in love, and that was enough to be brave.

Another hundred steps - and he found himself in a spacious courtyard in front of the castle. The prince looked to the right, to the left, and his blood ran cold in his veins. Around him lay, sat, stood, leaning against the wall, some people in ancient clothes. They were all motionless, as if dead.

But, peering into the red, shiny faces of the gatekeepers, he realized that they were not dead at all, but simply sleeping. They had cups in their hands, and the wine was not yet dry in the cups, and this clearly showed that a sudden dream overtook them at the moment when they were about to drain the cups to the bottom.

The prince passed a large courtyard paved with marble slabs, climbed the stairs, entered the hall of the palace guards. The armored men slept standing up, lined up in a row, with carbines on their shoulders, and snored with might and main.

He passed through many chambers full of well-dressed court ladies and smart gentlemen. They were all fast asleep, some standing, some sitting.

And finally he entered a room with gilded walls and a gilded ceiling. Entered and stopped.

On the bed, the curtains of which were thrown back, lay a beautiful young princess of fifteen or sixteen years old (except for the century she had slept).

The prince involuntarily closed his eyes: her beauty shone so brightly that even the gold around her seemed dull and pale. Trembling with delight, he approached and knelt before her.

At that very moment, the hour appointed by the good fairy struck.

The princess woke up, opened her eyes and looked at her deliverer.

Oh, is that you, prince? she said. “At last!” How long have you kept yourself waiting!

Before she had time to finish these words, everything around her woke up.

Horses neighed in the stable, pigeons cooed under the roof. The fire in the oven roared with all its might, and the pheasants, which the cooks had not had time to roast a hundred years ago, turned red in one minute.

The servants, under the supervision of the butler, were already setting the table in the mirrored dining room. And the ladies of the court, while waiting for breakfast, straightened their locks, disheveled for a hundred years, and smiled at their sleepy cavaliers.

In the hall of the palace guards, the men at arms again went about their usual business - stomping their boots and rattling their weapons.

And the porters, who were sitting at the entrance to the palace, finally drained the goblets and filled them again with good wine, which, of course, became older and better in a hundred years.

The whole castle - from the flag on the tower to the wine cellar - came to life and rustled.

The prince and princess heard nothing. They looked at each other and couldn't get enough of each other. The princess forgot that she had not eaten anything for a century, and the prince did not remember that he had not had poppy dew in his mouth since morning. They talked for four whole hours and did not manage to say even half of what they wanted to say.

But everyone else was not in love and therefore starved to death.

Finally, the eldest lady-in-waiting, who was as hungry as everyone else, could not stand it and reported to the princess that breakfast was served.

The prince extended his hand to his bride and led her into the dining room.

The princess was magnificently dressed and looked with pleasure at herself in the mirrors, and the prince in love, of course, did not say a word to her that the style of her dress had gone out of fashion at least a hundred years ago and that such sleeves and collars were not worn. since his great-great-grandmother.

However, even in an old-fashioned dress, she was the best in the world.

The bride and groom sat down at the table. The most noble gentlemen served them various dishes of ancient cuisine. And violins and oboes played for them lovely, long-forgotten songs of the last century.

The court poet immediately composed a new, albeit a little old-fashioned song about a beautiful princess who slept for a hundred years in an enchanted forest. The song was very liked by those who heard it, and since then it has been sung by everyone from young to old, from cooks to kings.

And who did not know how to sing songs, he told a fairy tale. This tale passed from mouth to mouth and finally came to us.

Sleeping beauty syndrome
(article written in October 2010)

Moscow is a city of active, enterprising, working, business women. And at the same time in Moscow, a huge number of "sleeping beauties".

Do you remember the fairy tale about the sleeping beauty from childhood?

“Sleeping Beauty is a princess who has been bewitched by an evil sorceress. The princess slept for 100 years, according to the witch's prediction, and everything around her slept, remaining unchanged: people, castle, objects. The castle was surrounded by thorny impenetrable thickets-fences and a large dense dark forest. Once, while hunting, the prince was driving through the forest and came to the place where the castle stood. 100 years have passed on this very day - the thorny thickets opened up and he was able to go inside.
There the prince saw the sleeping princess, fell in love, kissed her - and then she and everyone around came to life, woke up. The prince and princess got married, and together they lived happily ever after…”

But it all happens in a fairy tale. But what do we have in real life?

In real life, we meet many women who are outwardly very attractive, energetic, and successful. But at the same time, their inner Woman, the feminine soul, sleeps in a strong, deep sleep...
Sometimes a woman's soul sees dreams, beautiful and pleasant... Dreams, daydreams, but does not wake up.
And most importantly, avoids seeing reality. She avoids being active and her feminine strength and power in relations with men.

What is the Sleeping Beauty Syndrome?
- The sleeping beauty dreams of love, of the man of her dreams, but ... does nothing to make the dream come true.
-May feel insecure as a Woman. She believes that she cannot influence relationships with men, that little depends on her.
- As a rule, the sleeping beauty hopes that someday everything will turn out well, it is only necessary that the “suitable” man meet. And then women's happiness will come by itself, without her efforts and actions.
-She can engage in constant self-improvement (figure, diet, face correction, wardrobe, outlook, success, etc.). According to principle: when I'm good enough, the prince will definitely appear!
- She often refuses to get acquainted with those men who are trying to attract her attention to themselves, under the pretexts of: I didn’t like it, I didn’t like it, I didn’t say it right, I wasn’t active enough, I don’t stand for him - anyway, then he will reject me and I will suffer, etc.
Or she sincerely does not notice the attention of men in her address.
- Such a woman works a lot or devotes a lot of time and energy to some other activity: caring for loved ones, studying, career, communicating with friends, shopping, etc.
The bulk of her energy is spent not on building relationships with men, but on solving other issues.
Her attention begins to be occupied by the thought that there are no normal men, all valuable specimens have already been tidied up. Maybe stop hoping, it won't work anyway? And then the inner woman falls asleep forever, with no hope of waking up.
- The most dangerous thing is if a woman decides: female happiness is not for me.

How does this syndrome develop?
Let's imagine that in the structure of a woman's personality there are at least 3 parts:
-feminine/feminine part (inner Woman)
-male / masculine (her Animus, "the embodiment of all masculine psychological tendencies in the psyche of a woman")
- neutral, asexual It (possesses intelligence, practical life skills, functions at home and at work)

The Sleeping Beauty's Inner Woman is usually not strong enough, insecure, or traumatized by past love experiences or early childhood events.
This part of her personality or did not have time to wake up, to bloom in full force. Or she chose to fall asleep and not manifest herself, but simply passively wait for the one who will save her and wake her up to life ...
As a rule, the "sleeping beauty" is awake and manages her life It. Then the surrounding woman is perceived as psychologically asexual.
She herself perceives herself as an employee, leader, friend, daughter, mother, sister, colleague ... Often the queue does not reach the Woman.
And life in a big city with its rhythm and tasks pushes her to this. The criterion for choosing clothes is convenience. At work, there is a dress code, you have to be a sexless, well-functioning cog, at home you have to be a daughter or a mother, in life there are a lot of problems and cases that need to be solved. There is no time for the inner Woman here, once, there are many things to do ...
In some women, in addition to the id, the animus is also very active. A woman in the course of life and career, struggle with difficulties, can fly into a strong identification with her Animus, give him power - and then she is perceived as a "man in a skirt." In this case, it often happens that men, attracted by a charming, flirtatious, feminine appearance, fly to such a woman like flies to honey - flying closer and starting to communicate, they meet a fellow man under this feminine shell ... And this inner man can also be very aggressive and competitive, begins to measure with an unlucky admirer: who is smarter, who is more important, cooler, who has something more ...
Further developments are possible. But more often than not, the fan, moving away from the shock, quietly crawls back.

Such a “sleeping beauty” (whose inner Woman fell asleep) passively waits for the moment to come, and that beautiful prince will appear in her life, who, seeing how beautiful she is in her deep sleep, will love her, kiss her. And then she will feel like a real Woman... Everything around will become bright, alive, warm - and then they will live together happily ever after. And she does not need to make any effort, everything will happen by itself ...
But, thinking in this way, she makes 2 important mistakes, thinking that the prince:
- fall in love only if he sees the beauty sleeping (and not awake and active)
- that we must continue to sleep (otherwise the prince will not appear and fall in love).

At the same time, sleeping beauties forget that: there are not enough princes for everyone, on the way a more active girl can grab a prince, and only in a fairy tale can you keep your beauty and youth unchanged for 100 years.
But for the prince, the sleeping beauty is a relative of his great-great-great-grandmother? And the young princes in a few years will not look for sleeping great-great, but their peers ...

What happens in reality with the princes while the beauty is sleeping?
Modern princes have a hard time. To "make a fairy tale come true", the prince must:
-Overcome obstacles (dense thickets, thorns). Not every modern man wants to get involved with difficulties at all - why go into such an impenetrable forest? It is more convenient to walk along the usual paved paths. Or in general it is better to sit at home, in warmth and comfort. If you were still in the car, sitting behind the wheel and with air conditioning, you wouldn’t drive into the dense forest by car!
-Do not turn on the road to the castle "to the left" - there are a lot of temptations! Beautiful and brave girls walk in the forest, Amazons jump, Little Red Riding Hoods sing their songs, there are fairies, sorceresses. Even Baba Yaga welcomes good fellows: she will feed, drink, wash in the bathhouse. Each captivates in its own way. There is something to relax.
- Fall in love with this beauty. But the prince may not like the sleeping beauty—well, she's just not his type!
-Do what is expected of him. Suppose the girl liked the prince. Here he stands in front of the sleeping beauty and thinks: do I need it? And what is her character? To disenchant, I’ll disenchant, I know how—but how to conjure back, it’s not written in a fairy tale! One kiss for everything—and then commitments for life! I'll go back, I won't wake you up, let him sleep on. She slept for 100 years, and will still sleep. There will be another prince for her ...

How do we want to see our prince?
The answer to such a question is known: kind, smart, strong, attractive, courageous, successful, enterprising, active, understanding me, generous, attentive, caring, with a broad outlook and high intelligence, etc.
If a beauty does not see at least one of the listed qualities in a prince, then this is not a real prince! And then he will not succeed in kissing and waking her up!
And this unselected prince will leave without salty slurping, and the beauty will continue her interrupted dream and dreams of an ideal handsome prince and a wonderful life with him ....
In general, the chances that the fairy tale will come true are somehow not enough ...

A modern man who claims to be a prince can also conditionally distinguish 3 parts in his personality structure:
-masculine/masculine part (inner Man)
- neutral, asexual It (possesses intelligence, practical life skills, functions at work and at home, solves problems and tasks)
-Anima (“the embodiment of all feminine psychological tendencies in the psyche of a man, such as vague feelings and moods”).

Recently, a certain trend has been noticeable in Moscow, which women complain about. :
“most men are passive”, “they do not behave like men”, “they have feminine characters”, “they are not brave, enterprising and responsible, but flexible, indecisive, evading responsibility, loving to talk, not act”, “they make decisions with difficulty and do not want to take responsibility or take initiative”, “90% of employees are men at work, of which only a few people have a male character, the rest are either neutral or with a female character”, “if it meets a male character, then a visitor, and Muscovite men do not behave like men ... "
And then it can be assumed that in men of this type the masculine part of the personality, the inner Man, is not sufficiently active and developed.
In everyday life and at work, in order to cope with the tasks, the asexual It is enough for them. Some men have a strong and active anima, which largely determines their behavior.
It turns out that now we have a lot of “sleeping princes” waiting for an active, feminine, self-confident woman to come and awaken their male part of their personality from sleep, the Man in the man?!

Why did it happen that many potential princes fell asleep and turned into "sleeping beauties"?
The reasons are many and varied.
For example:
-absence of a father with strong masculinity
-lack of a male model of behavior in the immediate environment
-dominant and overwhelming masculinity of the boy's mother
-egocentrism
- stuck in the teenage stage of personality development
- initiation as a man not completed in youth for the formation of a distinct male identity
-corporate cultures of business organizations and government agencies that suppress the personal manifestations of employees, their initiative and activity
- fatigue from the demands and rhythm of life in a big city ...

To a modern woman in this difficult situation, when the “sleeping beauty” strategy has ceased to work for quite objective reasons: conditions and lifestyle have changed, men have changed ...
- the main and first thing: you need to wake up and see that there are men around and they are all different (including those with a strong masculine component).
-accept the truth that every person is the smith of his own happiness, including women's
-change your strategy of behavior with men
- learn different recruitment and dating strategies
- pay attention to your inner Woman, develop your feminine part, femininity.
- clarify relations with your Animus, take some of his power away from him

A woman who wants to see a “real man” next to her has a choice of 2 ways:
1. attract a man with strong masculine qualities of character.
2. to be able to awaken a Man in the “sleeping prince”.

The stronger and brighter femininity is in a woman, the more she is in contact with her inner Woman, the more men with a strong masculine part of personality, with a “male character” are attracted to her. It is usually the opposite that attracts and fascinates.
A woman with a strong femininity, mastery of influence and seduction, will be able to awaken the Man in a man. Even if this part of the personality in him sleeps or temporarily rests ...
And then instead of the "sleeping beauty" and the "sleeping prince" there will be a Woman and a Man nearby.
