The Military Academy of Logistics named after General Khrulev of the city of St. Petersburg is a state military educational institution of federal significance. The academy provides full-time and part-time educational services for the training and advanced training of theorists and practitioners of military affairs. Engineering-technical and railway military institutes operate on the basis of the academy. There are branches of the educational organization in Omsk, Penza and Volsk. The duration of study at the Khrulev Academy is from 2 to 5 years. Additional courses for retraining and obtaining the highest rank last 4-6 months. The professional selection of candidates entering the VA MTO for training as cadets is carried out by the selection committee in order to determine the ability of candidates to master educational programs of the appropriate level. Professional selection of candidates includes: a) determining the suitability of candidates for admission to a university for health reasons; b) determination of the category of professional suitability of candidates on the basis of their socio-psychological study, psychological and psycho-physiological examination; c) entrance examinations, consisting of: assessment of the level of general education of candidates based on the results of the unified state exam (USE) in general education subjects corresponding to the specialty for which admission is carried out; assessment of the level of physical fitness of candidates. 2. Professional selection of candidates is held from 1 to 30 July. 3. The term of training of cadets under programs with full military-special training is 5 years, qualification "specialist". 4. The term of training for cadets in programs with secondary military special training is 2 years 10 months, qualification "technician".

The procedure for processing documents

Citizens who have completed and have not completed military service, who have expressed a desire to enter the VA MTO, submit applications to the military commissariat of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation (municipal) at the place of residence (graduates of Suvorov military schools apply to the head of the Suvorov military school where they study) until April 20 of the year of admission to the university. Military personnel who have expressed a desire to enter the VA MTO submit a report addressed to the commander of the military unit before April 1 of the year of admission to the university. 2. The application of the candidates shall indicate: surname, name, patronymic, date of birth, education, residential address, name of the military educational institution, level of professional education, specialty in which he wishes to study. In the report of candidates from among the military personnel, in addition to the above, the following is indicated: military rank and position held, and instead of the address of the place of residence - the name of the military unit. Attached to the application (report) are: photocopies of a birth certificate and a document proving identity and citizenship, autobiography, reference from the place of work, study or service, a photocopy of a state document on the appropriate level of education, three certified photographs 4.5x6 cm in size, service card soldier. 3. A passport, a military ID or a certificate of a citizen subject to conscription for military service, an original state document on the appropriate level of education, as well as original documents giving the right to enter universities on preferential terms established by the legislation of the Russian Federation, are submitted by the candidate to the reception the commission of the military educational institution upon arrival, but no later than one day before the meeting of the selection committee to decide on the admission of the candidate to the university. Documents for these candidates, medical examination cards and professional psychological selection cards are sent by the military commissars of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation (heads of Suvorov military schools) to the VA MTO until May 20 of the year of admission to the university. 4. Documents of candidates from among the military personnel, medical examination cards, professional psychological selection cards, and for candidates from among the military personnel undergoing military service under the contract, and personal files are sent by the commanders of military units for consideration to the headquarters of the formations before May 1 of the year of admission to the university.

The postgraduate training period is three years. After successfully defending a dissertation, adjuncts are issued a PhD diploma (military, technical or economic) and are awarded the qualification "Teacher of Higher Education". Graduates are appointed to the positions of senior lecturers or lecturers of the academy, military universities (institutes) and to the positions of scientific employees of research organizations of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Officers under the age of 35 who have experience in practical work in positions, who have positively recommended themselves in the service and have shown the ability for pedagogical and research work, are admitted to the postgraduate course.

Officers who have expressed a desire to study in the postgraduate course must, no later than February 15 of the year of admission, submit a report on command, which, with the conclusion of the command and other established documents, as well as the personal file of the postgraduate candidate, are submitted to the academy on command through the personnel authorities no later than March 1 year of admission.

Candidates take competitive entrance exams: in a special discipline, philosophy and a foreign language in the scope of the Academy's curriculum. Officers who have passed the candidate's minimum exams and who have the appropriate certificates are, by their consent, exempted from the corresponding entrance exam.

In addition to the next vacation, candidates admitted to pass the entrance exams are provided with an additional vacation for a period of 30 days with the preservation of monetary allowance and the time required to travel from the place of service to the university and back. The Academy sends a call to officers admitted to take the entrance exams, which at the same time is the basis for granting additional leave.
