VagantsFest

Concert venue \ Paid \ Moscow

The name of our festival originates from the ancient word "Vagant". The word originated in the Middle Ages. For the first time, itinerant clerics were named that they brought their poetic, musical and prose creativity to the world. Over time, this type of activity was picked up by many other classes.

In different countries, vagants were called by different names. These are French jugglers, and German spielmans, and English minstrels, and even Russian buffoons! But this did not change their essence and meaning. They carried folk works, their thoughts and ideas in their work. They glorified and managed to capture the era to which they belonged for centuries, they created the history of literature, poetry and theater.
