Andrey Shirman, known not only in Russia, but also in Europe and the USA as DJ Smash, was born in 1982 in Perm. Parents instilled a love for high-quality music in the future star. Which is not surprising: Andrei's father is a jazz musician, music teacher, leader of youth organizations and musical groups. Mom is a professor of music, choirmaster, honored worker of culture, corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences. When Andrei was 6 years old, he began to attend a music school in piano.
The fact that Andrey was waiting for success in the musical field became clear almost immediately: from the age of 8 he began to write music, and at the age of 14 he already released his first album “Get funky”, which sold 500 cassettes. The record ended up on the table of the director of the most popular Perm club "Apocalypse", and Andrey Shirman turned into DJ Smash. According to the artist, he chose the pseudonym not by chance: “ smash” is his favorite stroke in tennis.
At 16 DJ Smash created the composition "Between Heaven and Earth", which was a resounding success with the public. And Andrei began to think about conquering the capital.
At the age of 18, Andrey moved to Moscow and worked as an arranger for the Depot judge for four years. The young musician spends this time with benefit: he not only acquires the necessary knowledge and experience, but also makes the necessary acquaintances.

2012 is a whirlwind of events sweeping through the creative life Andrey Shirman: in the center of Moscow, he opens the restaurant project Boom Boom Room, creates his own musical group SMASH LIVE, releases the singles "Rendez-Vous", "Moscow" (joint work with the Vintage group), and also "Love at a Distance" - a duet with sex symbol of the national scene Vera Brezhneva. On April 20, Andrey launched the mechanism of serial parties under the auspices of POWERFUL. POWERFUL is an electronic music festival that will be held twice a year in Moscow, and in the future in other cities of Russia. POWERFUL is a brand of dance parties under which DJ Smash plans to release monthly mixes of the most trendy music. The purpose of the festival is to bring together a number of Russian DJs. The parties will fully correspond to their name: the venue will be equipped with the most powerful equipment. In the end of April DJ Smash became the winner of the Top Hit Music Awards in the nomination "Radiation of the Year 2012".

Childhood and family
Andrey Leonidovich Shirman was born in 1982, on May 23. His hometown is Perm. I was brought up in a creative family. Father (a Jew by nationality) received a professional musical education. And his mother is an honored worker of culture, she worked as a choirmaster for many years. Andrei has an older sister, whose name is Katya.

Conquest of the capital
Success in his hometown pushed the young man to move to Moscow and further creative development. 18-year-old Andrey Shirman became the music producer of the Depo group. He created arrangements, worked at the sound engineer's console. Also, several times a week, our hero worked in the Shambhala club in the capital.
At the end of 2004, Andrey stopped working with the Depo group. By that time, he managed to become one of the most invited DJs in the capital's clubs. In 2005, a native of Perm became a resident of the Zima Project fashion establishment. There he played remixes of compositions by Russian performers (the Mirage group, Yuri Antonov, Valery Leontiev and others).

All-Russian fame was brought to him by the dance song Moscow never sleeps, recorded together with rapper Timati. This composition got into the rotation of the largest radio station in our country.
