Basta (real name Vakulenko Vasily Mikhailovich) is a famous Russian musician (rapper, beatmaker, composer), TV and radio host, producer, actor, director, and screenwriter. Has another alias - Noggano, as well as N1NT3ND0. In 2007, he became a co-owner of the Gazgolder label.
Childhood and youth
Vasily was born in Rostov in a military family. He has an older brother. Parents early noticed the boy's creative abilities. Vasily was especially interested in the world of music, so they enrolled him in a music school. The boy's grandmother was from Kiev, who followed her grandson's regular music lessons.
Vasily received his secondary education in his native city, where he studied since 1987 at school No. 32. After graduating from secondary school the young man decided to continue his musical education and entered the Rostov Musical College where he studied as a conductor.
Soon the young man realized that his specialty would not be useful to him in the future for self-realization and, without graduating from an educational institution, he became interested in rap culture (in the 90s).
Professional activity
At the age of 15, Vasily wrote his first rap text. At 17, he was taken to the musical group "Psycholiriu" (1997-1998), which was soon renamed "Casta" (1998-2000). In his hometown, Vasily became famous, he was known under the pseudonym Basta Khryu. Soon the young musician releases his debut track "City". Already at the age of 18 he wrote his second popular text "My Game".
Basta's musical compositions quickly made the young rapper famous. Together with his friend Zhelezka Igor, for some time he toured the south of Russia. After Vasily suspended his musical activity for several years, which he resumed only in 2002. He creates a studio where he records his new songs, but no one remembered the rapper at that time.
Thanks to a happy accident, Vasily's demo disc gets to Bogdan Titomir, who invites a talented musician to Moscow. He introduced him to the creative association "Gazgolder", with which Vasily began to cooperate and create his new hits.
The debut album of the rap artist was released in 2006 under the name "Basta 1". For the performer, the time has come for the long-awaited success. In the same year, he released two new videos - "Once and For All" and "Autumn".
In 2007, the second album of the musician "Basta 2" was released., where there are compositions in which he sings in a duet with rapper Guf and singer Maxim. Further, the artist’s discography was replenished with albums: “Basta / Guf” (2010), “Basta 4” (2013), “Basta / Smokey Mo” (2015) and “Basta 5” (2016).

One of the best and brightest compositions in the artist's work was the song "Graduation". Basta's bright clips were: “Our Summer”, “Tea Drunkard”, “So Spring Cries”, “Inner Fighter”. The rapper's song "Mama" was used in the American popular computer game "Grand theft auto IV".

Personal life
Vasily is married. The artist's wife's name is Elena Pinskaya. The girl's mother is a well-known journalist Tatyana Pinskaya, lives in France, her father is a distributor of expensive wines. They met by chance, the girl was a longtime fan of the musician. In June 2009, Elena and Vasily officially registered the marriage and got married. The couple have two daughters: Masha (2009) and Vasilisa (2013). Masha is very stubborn, always stands her ground, and Vasilisa is softer in character, but knows what she wants.
