July 31, 1964 in the glorious country of Holland, in the small town of Oss, Carolina Katarina Muller was born, the future Disco star of the 80s known to everyone under the pseudonym C.C.Catch(C.C. Ketch). Her father, German by nationality and named Jurgen, did not live with his family for a long time, and until almost 14 years old, Carolina lived with her mother, Corrie, a citizen of the Netherlands. After the family reunion, everyone moves to Bunde (Germany), and Karolina receives the rest of her education there. After leaving school, she studies as a designer (clothing manufacturer) and works in a garment factory. After meeting a musical group in the Bünde tavern, Karolina decides to become a singer. Huge help in this was provided by her own father, who, in order to achieve his daughter's goal, founded the Orbita music agency. A young aspiring singer has to overcome many obstacles, and in 1980 she was accepted into the musical quartet "Optimal".
Having not received much popularity and having released only two singles, the quartet, meanwhile, performs and tours in Germany. And in 1985, at one of the competitions for young performers in Dorfiss at the "Hamburger Diskothek", Dieter Bohlen, the lead singer and producer of the then-popular group "Modern Talking", noticed Karolina, he was attracted by her beauty and peculiar vocals (called "diamond") . After testing at the studio, Dieter signs a contract with her. He also comes up with the name of the future group, and the singer herself - C.C.Catch consisting of the first letters of the name (Caroline Catherina) and the then fashionable word "Catch" (result) as a synonym for a hit idea. In the summer of 1985, the band's debut single was released. S.S.Catch- "I Can Lose My Heart Tonight" which immediately broke chart records and brought fame to the newborn group. In early 1986, the second single "Cause You Are Young" appears, and soon the whole of Europe will know about the existence C.C.Catch.
And in the spring of 1986, the debut album was released. All songs in the album are written by Dieter Bohlen, the album title became "Catch The Catch" (get the result). S.S.Catch becomes her pseudonym, which turned Carolina into a disco queen. The disc cover features Carolina's favorite black cat, Morty. The debut album goes platinum in Germany and gold in Spain. "Welcome To My Heartbreak Hotel" was released around Christmas 1986. This second album by C.C. Catch significantly outsold the previous album "Catch The Catch". Then several more albums were released (discography below), there was a break in the contract with Dieter Bohlen and much more. Since 1998, C.C. Catch has been making money exclusively from concerts. Given that she performs without a producer, it must be admitted that she still represents a significant amount in show business. Her voice, unique in terms of timbres, has not changed at all.
For our fans of the singer, her visit to the USSR in 1991 became significant. C.C.Catch took part in the filming of the BRAVO-91 program and the festival-action "Children of Chernobyl - our children". Sports complex "Olympic" provided its stage for a grand show, which took place on June 1-2. More than 100 artists from the USSR, Germany, England, Italy, Holland, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark agreed to participate in these concerts, among the invited were such stars as Bad Boys Blue, Blue System, Den Harrow. Juergen Müller I bought my schoolgirl daughter a microphone and phonograms of hits that were popular at that time, which Carolina liked very much, and she arranged home “concerts” from morning to evening. However, when it came time to choose a future profession, at the insistence of her parents, the girl began to study as a designer and at the same time work at a factory. It was a difficult time for her, because sometimes she had to work 15 hours a day. She endured such a tough schedule for a long time, and then gave up everything and took up a musical career. The father of the aspiring singer supported her bold decision. Jürgen Müller not only became his daughter's manager, but also spent all his savings to create his own music agency Orbit-music.
