Decorations for a home puppet theater with your own hands. How to make a home puppet theater

17.07.2019

Children love to play with dolls. By creating a puppet theater with your own hands, you will give your child an incomparable joy of creativity. In addition, by acting out performances behind the screen of a puppet theater, adults learn to better understand their children.

How to make a children's puppet theater screen

The simplest theater screen looks like a curtain. A piece of fabric with a square hole cut out can be stretched in the doorway - and the screen is ready. Decorations for such a screen are attached to ordinary clothespins. To prevent the clothespins from looking too rough, they should be camouflaged with flowers or mushrooms cut out of paper. On a rope stretched over the screen, you can hang paper clouds, the sun, the moon, the stars. You can also make a screen from an ordinary ironing board by hanging it with a piece of cloth.

A more complex option is a table screen, most suitable for a finger theater. Such a screen can be made with your own hands from a piece of plywood. The height of the screen should be such that it is convenient for the artists to work. In order to make a plywood screen, you will need a jigsaw and a piece of dense fabric (velvet, wool, gabardine).

From the narrow side of the plywood sheet, two planks 5–10 cm wide should be sawn off. One plank is cut into two parts. These are the legs of the screen. At the bottom of the plywood blank, you need to make two cuts - a groove. Appropriate cuts are made in the legs. The second plank is nailed to the top of the screen in such a way that a gap of 3-5 mm remains between the plank and the plywood sheet: decorations are to be inserted into it.

The facade of the screen is covered with fabric. Theatrical screen does not have to be monochromatic. It can be pasted over with a flowered cloth or white paper, and then invite the children to paint it.

If the house does not have plywood and a jigsaw, it does not matter: you can make a screen for a children's puppet theater with your own hands from a piece of cardboard, for example, from a large box of equipment. For greater strength and stability, several pieces of cardboard should be glued together.

A cardboard screen for a puppet theater can also be given a more complex configuration. To do this, you need to take three sheets of cardboard: one wide and two narrower. On an average, wide sheet, a window for the stage is cut out. With the help of an awl, holes are pierced on both sides of a wide sheet and on one side of each narrow one, which are then sewn together with strong threads. The seams are neatly glued with colored fabric. The resulting design resembles a folding house, the side walls of which are flexibly attached to the front.

How to make decorations for a puppet theater with your own hands

Winter is the best time for crafts with children. Today we will tell you how to make a wonderful home puppet theater out of the box with your own hands. This original educational toy is sure to please any child. What is especially important, it is useful to play it, because role-playing representations “feed” the brain.

Our craft will be quite simple, you will be able to make it in just half an hour. Of course, it is better to do it together with the child - at least he will help you choose the pictures. A little time - and you will already be playing together in a home mini-theater!

What will we need?

  • cardboard box of any size
  • cooking skewers
  • small led garland
  • small beads with a large hole
  • colored paper
  • small images of your favorite fairy tale characters

How to do?

It is best to take an elongated and low box. If there is none, take any (shoes are perfect). Remove the front edge of the box completely. Cut the back so that about 2-3 cm are left along the edges. From above, at regular intervals, make cuts with a cutter.

From the cut parts of the boxes, make a small pallet. You need to make exactly the same holes in it. We insert culinary skewers into them (you can replace them with sushi chopsticks or tightly twisted newspaper tubes). Place a bead at the end of each skewer and secure with glue if needed. So moving the dolls will be more convenient.

Pictures need to be attached to the skewers. If you do not have ready-made images, just draw them: penguins, snowmen, Santa Claus - any characters that you need for a fairy tale and theatrical performance.

The lid of the box needs to be pasted over with colored paper, we will install it behind the main part of the craft - it will be something like a screen. With the help of blue, blue and white paper, you can simulate snowdrifts and the sea. Separately glue both small elements and side faces for the future home-made theater.

Place them directly in the box - no glue required.

Just put the garland on top. To prevent it from slipping, secure it with tape.

You will need

  • - Knitting;
  • - shreds;
  • - old mittens and gloves;
  • - cardboard tubes;
  • - boxes from household appliances;
  • - colored paper;
  • - foam rubber;
  • - cardboard;
  • - gouache;
  • - brushes;
  • - PVA glue;
  • - scissors;
  • - 2 chairs;
  • - big board
  • - coverlet;
  • - rope;
  • - wooden beams;
  • - door hinges;
  • - carpentry tools.

Instruction

Start preparing for a performance with a script. It is best to write it on a computer. Find the right one. Write down what decorations you need. Write what is on the stage at the moment the action begins. It looks like this. "Forest clearing. Under the trees there is a hut for chickens. A cat is sleeping near the threshold. Write down the words for the roles and actions of the characters.

Theatrical puppets are different. For home use gloves are the best. Visit your nearest toy store. Perhaps there is something suitable there, since theatrical dolls are sold individually and in sets. Try to pick them up so that they fit each other in style.

If the dolls you need are not in the store, make them yourself. This will be even better as you will be able to make the characters according to each actor's hand size. Perhaps you have gloves lying around, a pair of which is lost, or old mittens. They can be very useful. At the glove, cut off the tips of the index and middle fingers. Cut them lengthwise so that the cuts are in contact with each other. Do the same with your ring finger and little finger.

Sew in pairs the sections of the index and middle fingers. Do the same with the ring and little fingers. Instead of five fingers on the glove, it turned out three. From shreds or pieces of fur, make hands or paws. Cut out 2 small circles, gather them around the edge with a needle-forward seam, insert small pieces of foam rubber and tighten. Sew the balloons to the hands of the toy.

Make a head. This is also a circle of fabric or border. In the same way as when making hands, gather a circle around the edge, stuff and tighten. Connect the head and torso with a cardboard tube and sew. Decorate the head as you wish. Facial features can be embroidered or appliquéd with pieces of felt. Hair is made from fur or woolen threads. At the same time, the threads are folded in half and sewn to the head in a checkerboard pattern. To make a bunny or a bear have ears, insert pieces of cardboard into them. You can use heads from broken toys.

Take care of the screen. If you don't have a real one yet, stretch a rope across the room and hang a blanket over it. True, in this case, the opportunity to put the scenery is very small. You can decorate the screen itself with flowers or trees. For a more solid screen, you need to take 2 chairs and a board. Place the chairs back to back at some distance, and put a board on top. Drape the structure. You can put a house made of a cardboard box and trees on it.

Feeling that your passion for the theater is serious and for a long time, make a real screen. It can be large or portable, which is placed on the table. You will need 3 boards of the same length and 2 or 4 door hinges. Connect the boards with door hinges. Nail wide wooden blocks to the bottom of the screen so that it is stable. You can make a stationary drapery, or you can simply close the screen with a piece of fabric.

Decorations are attached to such a screen with buttons or carnations. Try to make a design that will suit several performances. You can also make double-sided decorations. For example, on one side the house will be wooden, and on the other - brick.

Good afternoon guests and readers of the blog! Today I again want to touch on the topic of how and how to lure a child at home. This topic is very close to me, because I have two children at home. that require attention and care.

In the previous article, I told you about didactic games with your favorite characters from "Paw Patrol". For those who missed this episode, read here.

Today I want to offer another version of the game at home, this is a puppet theater. Of course, you can take your child to a real puppet theater, or you can create one at home.

Therefore, I will share with you some thoughts, developments to make such a miracle.

We'll need: your desire and a little free time 🙂

To be honest, we have different types of theaters at home, for example this wood.

My kids love it very much, because it's so funny and exciting when I show them a fairy tale, and they sit and listen. Now I have an older son, he can show and tell fairy tales himself. Just think, it's very cool, because the child, while playing, learns to retell his favorite fairy tale, build a dialogue, etc.

I think that all preschool children, as well as most children of primary school age, will not remain indifferent to such theaters. And if you come up with fairy tales with a funny plot and an intriguing ending, then in general you can get a real holiday for a child.

The easiest version of a do-it-yourself puppet theater is paper. It is easy to make your own. Well, or together with the child.

DIY paper finger puppet theater, patterns

Paper finger puppet theater, kids really like it, it lures them, and also develops fine motor skills of hands. Look here.

The first option is a flat round finger theater. You need to make the head and the upper part of the doll, dress on the finger with a paper ring or you can make cones.

Create such dolls together with your child, start with character templates. Download them on my website by writing me a comment below, I will be happy to send you templates, print and have fun playing.

After all, the finger puppet theater is a whole magical art in which children learn about the world around them. Any child will like to be in the role of an artist, and this helps to believe in themselves and achieve success in the future. It is also a good material for the development of such processes in children as imagination, thinking, as well as the development of fine motor skills and much more.

A finger theater can be made from any materials at hand, such as paper, fabric, cardboard, corks, threads, cups, etc.

DIY desktop paper theater, templates

I show my children, here is such a desktop paper theater, which I made very quickly.

We will need:

  • cups from Rastishka, illustrations, ice cream sticks

Stages of work:

1. Take any illustrations and cut out all the characters in the fairy tale along the contour.

3. Glue ice cream sticks on each fairy tale character.

4. Now take the cups and make a horizontal hole at the top of each cup with a clerical knife.

5. Well, now insert the wand with the hero into the glass. Look how cute it turned out. Very easy and simple, no worse than buying in a store.

Ice cream sticks can be replaced with plastic forks or spoons.

If you do not want to take illustrations from books, then you can find characters from any fairy tales on the Internet, save them, and then print them, and then cut them out and stick them on sticks. You can download from my website such ready-made templates of heroes for such fairy tales: Kolobok, Teremok, Turnip, Bunny hut, just write a comment or review below, and I will send it to you by mail.

Paper puppet theater "Walkers"

Such a theater is very popular with young children; for such a theater, favorite characters and a couple of holes are needed.

Believe me, children will be happy to play such games.

And if you invite friends to visit, then it will be even more fun to play.

You will also receive samples of walkers of your favorite heroes to your e-mail address.

Desktop paper theater on plastic cups, corks, cubes

This option is also very easy to make, you can even draw the characters yourself or find and cut out, and then stick them on corks or cubes. Everything is ingeniously simple.

And how do you like this idea? All children love Kinder Surprise, and all of them have small containers left from them that you can pay to such a theater.

DIY glove doll

In fact, puppet theaters can be built a lot. Even at almost no cost. You just need to turn on the ingenuity and do it! You can sew for example.

And you can learn to knit and knit such cute characters:

I honestly used to knit well, now there is not enough time for all this. But I never liked sewing. But, also as an option, you can sew such a theater, who loves this business.

Although here is the simplest master for you - a class on sewing a puppet theater from fabric using gloves. Anyone can do it, even those who do not know the art of sewing.

We will need:

  • household gloves, knitted - 2 pcs., buttons for the eyes - 2 pcs., threads, scissors, braid, stationery knife

Stages of work:

1. Take the first glove and steam out the thread-seam on the cuff, usually it is red or yellow. Tuck in the little finger, thumb and forefinger so that they do not come out, sew them up. You should end up with a head with ears and a bunny neck. Sew up the bases at the ears so that the fingers do not get there.

2. Now take the next glove and hide the ring finger in it, sew up the hole. Connect the middle and index fingers together and now put the hare's head on them.

3. Sew the head to the neck. To hide the seam at the neck, tie a bow or tie in the form of a butterfly. Sew on button eyes and embroider a muzzle, or you can draw with a marker. From a fluff or knitted threads, you can decorate a hare by gluing a cute cap on his head. 😯

In this way, other toys can be made, such as a dog, parsley, etc.

I have a son who generally loves such a simple glove, puts it on and goes around making up all sorts of stories with the characters 🙂

Here is such a short article turned out for today. I think who of you has small children, you are happy to diversify their leisure time. Choose any kind of theater, do it with your child. And then enjoy a good mood and positive. After all, all joint work strengthens your relationship! And the child will only be happy and glad from this, and will definitely tell you: “Mommy, how I love you!” The most magical words in the world.

Well, I say goodbye to you today. See you again.

P.S. Do you know what is very important? It is in the home puppet theater that you can watch the child, his behavior. Because the baby can think of something, speak out, and we adults should still listen to what the child is talking about, what conversations he is talking about.

Unpacked. The Christmas tree is still dressed up in balls and garlands. From under the dense crown, Father Frost and the Snow Maiden are watching what is happening in the family circle. Soon their parents will hide them in a box and put them in a closet until the next New Year's festivities.
There is a box of sweets on the table, waiting in the wings to be sent to the trash can. Do not rush to throw away colorful and bright packaging. You can make a wonderful children's theater out of it with your own hands, or rather a theater with cardboard puppets.
For work you will need:
- cardboard packaging for any gifts
- PVA glue
- scissors.

First, you should carefully study the drawings in order to decide which part of the material we will leave for the design of the theater hall, and which part - for dolls (fabulous actors). We decided to use a large box (in the form of a house) to create a theater room. From a small one, we will cut out details for decorations and figurines of animals. Have you chosen the right pictures? Now boldly proceed to cutting out the details.

In our case, the tales will be about how Santa Claus got to our region to leave delicious sweets for the kids. Different types of transport eloquently indicate that the path was not easy.

Now let's take up the creation and decoration of the theater hall. On the front side of the larger box, we will cut a rectangular hole. Thus we open the stage.

So that the bottom of the box does not bulge, we glue a rectangle cut off from the front side on it. An English-Russian dictionary will help to press the cardboard, and facilitate the gluing process.

This picture shows cut-out decorations: a decorated Christmas tree and Santa Claus in a sleigh.

Finally, the bottom stuck, we removed the dictionary. Approximately 20 minutes have passed. On the roof of the house, we cut holes through which we will lower the heroes of the play onto the stage.

We diluted the scenery with fir trees, snowdrifts and a cozy village. The evening lights lit up in the windows. On the street we see snow flakes. Silence.

We paste the details on the far wall of the theater. A solid canvas, of course, would have looked better, but we don’t have such material. You have to be content with what you have. In the end, the background looks great.

We continue to create. The turn of high snowdrifts has come. We also cut them out of the remnants of cardboard.

Glue the snowdrifts in the foreground. Please note that the tree on the left side of the picture is located very close to the viewer.

Glue cut thin strips to each of the heroes.

This is what the work looks like from the back.

We lower the main characters onto the stage through the holes cut in the roof of the theater. The animals are sitting, waiting for the appearance of Santa Claus's sleigh in the starry sky.
