On Sunday afternoon, January 29, the famous Russian DJ and one of the creators of the Moscow nightclub Soho Rooms Sergey Jeff Tkachenko died in Moscow as a result of a fall from the ledge located at the level of the 20th floor

The Investigative Committee has launched an investigation into the death of Sergei Tkachenko, who fell out of a window on the 20th floor of a residential building in the center of Moscow. The deceased was a well-known Russian DJ and former co-owner and creator of the Moscow nightclub Soho Rooms.

It was established that on the afternoon of January 29, the body of a 41-year-old man with injuries typical of a fall from a great height was found on the visor of one of the residential buildings along Shmitovsky Proyezd, representatives of the Investigative Committee report.

DJ Alex Kafer spoke of Sergey Tkachenko as a bright and purposeful person who could not commit suicide.

So much we met with him and worked together - it doesn’t fit in my head that this could happen. He could be somewhere thoughtful in terms of work, he thought a lot, approached all issues on a large scale, - Alexey recalls. Nothing was unimportant to him. And fall out of the window... Honestly, I don't believe that such a person could do it consciously himself, because he was so purposeful. I turned to him for advice as a promoter, an artist, he is such an uncle-teacher, you could always ask him something or clarify something. Today I will definitely go to our mutual friends, find out what the mood has been like there lately. What can be a quarrel with his wife? They are so idyllic.

Alexey met Sergey three years ago, then they decided to create a remix of Sergey's most memorable song - "Dreams".

He wrote it a very long time ago, and it has sunk into the souls of many people. Sergei was a bright and bright person who constantly gave people light and positive. And he called the song “Dreams” his brainchild: in it he spoke and sang how to climb up, to the sun, to his dreams.

Investigators of the Main Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee for Moscow are investigating the circumstances of the death of Sergei Tkachenko. According to representatives of the investigation, we are talking about an accident: a man, having decided to scare his cohabitant, got out onto the ledge, but failed to climb back and fell down.

He quarreled with the woman with whom he lived in the same apartment, stood on the windowsill and fell down, witnesses told Life. Police are currently on the scene investigating the circumstances of the incident.

This morning, all representatives of the Moscow club scene were in for shocking news: the owner of the Soho Rooms club, Sergei Tkachenko, better known under the pseudonym S. Jeff, died. The man fell from the 17th floor. According to witnesses, Tkachenko had a fight with a woman with whom he lived in the same apartment, and fell down. The terrible death of the ex-member of the Tet-a-tet group did not leave indifferent many celebrities - people from the first Moscow "star" companies.

Singer Anastasia Zadorozhnaya, who became popular thanks to the sensational series "Club", told Life how Tkachenko became the founder of the capital's club life.

We are all in shock and do not understand how this could happen, ”Anastasia shared with Life. - I know Seryozha for a very long time, since the time of the series. We spent time together on the set, one might say, we did not get out of the club. Then it was still Infinity, and then Soho Rooms appeared. He was the founder of this whole party, a very respected person. We spent a lot of time with him, all those days on the set, we lived like a big family, I, Seryozha, Alexander Tolmatsky. Unfortunately, lately we have had little contact, mostly only congratulating each other on the holidays. To be honest, what happened was a shock to me, Sergey was never seen in any contradictory things, he was always calm and friendly.

The Russian producer and father of rapper Decl Alexander Tolmatsky, in turn, told Life that at a certain period of his life Tkachenko abused alcohol, but before his death he decided to lead a healthy lifestyle.

I haven't seen him for a long time, but he was always normal, reserved. Many people knew him, everyone treated him with respect. I myself recently heard about this tragedy on the radio and now I am very depressed. He recently had a new girlfriend, they say that this happened because of a quarrel with her. But it's all strange because he hasn't been drinking lately. Once he had a period, he drank, but then he quit, opened a business. There is no reason to jump out of a window.

In a conversation with Life, a member of the Ivanushki International group, Andrei Grigoriev-Appolonov, recalled that he had known Tkachenko even before he became the founder of many Moscow clubs. As it turned out, the artist remembers Sergei as part of the Tet-a-tet group, along with Irakli Pirtskhalava. By the way, in 1997 the team performed at the “Christmas meetings with Alla Pugacheva”.

I have known Seryozha for almost 20 years, since the days of the Tete-a-Tete group. The case that happened, of course, is simply egregious. He was a very restrained, intelligent and kind person, he himself could not have done this. I think it's still an accident.

Singer Yulianna Karaulova spoke about her club life and acquaintance with Tkachenko. The artist, like her colleagues, said that Sergey had recently led a healthy lifestyle.

In fact, the whole party revolved around him, but he himself did not participate in it. He attended the club but never drank. I have known Sergei for a long time, so I am also in shock. A very strange situation, because everyone who knows him would never have thought that this could happen.

On Sunday, January 29, a famous DJ and one of the founders of the Soho Rooms nightclub, 41-year-old Sergey Tkachenko, died in Moscow. A man fell out of the window of a multi-storey building on Shmitovsky Proezd. As you know, the tragedy occurred after a quarrel with a girl.

One of the eyewitnesses photographed Sergei at a time when he was already hanging on the ledge of the house. After 10 minutes of balancing on the ledge, Tkachenko, unable to hold on to the window sill, breaks down and falls down. Witnesses of the tragedy and viewers of the video are surprised why the girl did not try to drag the man into the apartment or did not call the neighbors for help in 10 minutes. Perhaps the girl panicked and tried to convince Sergei to climb into the window. The behavior of Tkachenko himself also raises questions. Tkachenko fell on the roof of the supermarket, and only with the help of climbing equipment was it possible to remove the body.

“On the morning of January 29, in the apartment of Sergei Tkachenko, there was a quarrel between him and his girlfriend, in which Sergei defended his innocence and feelings for his beloved. In a rush, he jumped onto the windowsill of one of the rooms, where, by a terrible coincidence, a window was open, unable to keep his balance, Sergei was on the other side of the window, but managed to grab the frame. Sergey kept himself on the street at a temperature below 5 degrees, made attempts to rise on his hands through the window, but he did not have enough physical strength for this. After 10 minutes, Sergei's hands could not stand it, and he fell down. How these tragic events ended, everyone already knows.”
