In the international children's center "Artek" "Children's New Wave 2018" died down - one of the main musical events of the year on the peninsula, and throughout the country. The finalists of the competition came to Crimea - 14 participants from 9 countries.
Children aged 8-12 entered the Artek Arena, who certainly are in no way inferior to the participants of the adult New Wave - neither in artistry, nor in vocal abilities. Famous Russian performers shared the big stage with children: Alexey Vorobyov, Timur Rodriguez, Pizza group, singer Jasmine.
The difficult task of assessing the performance talent of juniors was entrusted to the jury of stars. The guys were judged by Lev Leshchenko, Oleg Gazmanov, Nikolai Baskov, as well as Larisa Dolina, Sergey Lazarev, Yulianna Karaulova and Evgeny Kombarov. Traditionally, the chairman of the jury was Igor Krutoy, People's Artist of Russia, producer and composer.
Previously, the competition was held at the central stadium of Artek, but now the musical festival took place at the new Artek Arena, a concert complex that can accommodate 4,500 spectators.
The first competition day was opened by the winner of the contest “You are Super!” 2018 Diana Ankudinova (Russia). The girl, by the way, was considered one of the main favorites. Moreover, on the first day (and on her birthday), Diana opened The Wave with Edith Piaf's song "Non, je ne". And the jury did not stint on the evaluation.
However, 13 more strong vocalists were waiting for their turn. There were folk and modern songs, compositions from films, hits of the Queen group, Polina Gagarina, Zhanna Oguzarova, Elka.
All contestants received diplomas of the "Children's New Wave 2018", as well as a professional microphone as a gift.
A special prize from Children's Radio went to Elizaveta Trofimova (Russia). She also received an award from the Igor Krutoy Academy of Popular Music. Vardan Margaryan (Armenia) received a special prize from Kosygin Russian State University, and Dina Baru (Russia) received a special prize of the Good Wave. Diana Ankudinova received the well-deserved audience award.
Sonya Fomenko (Russia) took third place in the music competition. "Silver" members of the jury gave Ivena Rabotova (Bulgaria).

The Ukrainian girl not only ignited the audience, but also became the winner of the competition, which gives her the right to perform on the same stage with Russian performers.
Eva Lepa, became popular thanks to the project “Voice. Children”, which took place in Ukraine in 2017. At the blind auditions, Eva was able to impress the jury with her talent, and literally, the struggle began for her. But, the girl decided that the members of the Time and Glass group, Nadezhda Dorofeeva and Positive, would become her mentors.
Lepa, despite the fact that in the first stage of the competition attracted the attention of all mentors, she could not get to the final.
For soy 12 years, Eva took part in a large number of competitions, in some she even won first places. The girl received a vocal education thanks to one of the music schools in Kyiv, but Eva was born in Kremenchug.
The girl has repeatedly stated that she dreams of performing with Polina Gagarina and Dima Bilan.

Despite the fact that Eva Lepa is a citizen of Ukraine, she was not afraid to perform in the Crimea.
On May 31 and June 1, the "Children's New Wave" took place on the peninsula, in which Eva was able to win.

After Eva left for the Russian competition, many Ukrainian viewers of the Voice condemned the girl. The vocalist's parents had previously reported that a trip to the Crimea would cause a lot of criticism in Ukraine. But still, they said that talented musicians should not pay attention to politics and perform wherever they want.
Social media users reacted very negatively to photos of Eva from Yalta. Some of them even expressed their opinion on the matter. The girl's talent impressed the jury members so much that a real struggle unfolded for the contestant. The performer chose the members of the Time and Glass group as her mentors, but she failed to reach the final.
“A talented child has the right to perform in any country”
Now Eva has big plans for the future: the young artist wants to sing a duet with Dima Bilan or Polina Gagarina, and also visit India. In a conversation with 360, Alexander Rumyantsev, general director of the Children's New Wave, said that he did not hear criticism from Eva's compatriots because of her decision to visit the Crimea. “Even if there are attacks, they are absurd - she just participates in the competition. A talented child has the right to perform in any country - in America, and in Ukraine, and in Russia," he said.
There is no doubt about Eva's vocal abilities - at the semi-final of the "Children's New Wave" she received the highest score, Rumyantsev specified. According to him, the talent of the young Ukrainian woman corresponds to the level of the children's competition, which is "the most important in the entire post-Soviet space."
“They will be treated like a political criminal”
The participation of Eva Lepa in the "Children's New Wave" may cause discontent on the part of Ukraine, says State Duma deputy Boris Chernyshov. “In Kyiv now the power of dictatorship, lawlessness and stupidity. It doesn't matter to them who to pour hatred on - it is important for them that it oozes out of all the cracks. Even if they do not touch the child, aggression will begin to pour out on her parents and on those who help her build her career as an artist, ”he said in an interview with 360.
