The program began with the opening of the site of the military-historical reconstruction "Bunchuk Batu". More than 50 people from 6 clubs of military-historical reconstruction - "Yatagan" in Kazan, "Skif" in Kharabali, "White Leopard" in Mogilev, "Steel Spear" in Armavir, "Veche" and "Svarozhya Squad" » Astrakhan - plunged the audience into the real Middle Ages with the battles of ancient warriors in armor. During the day, the guests of the festival saw competitions of spearmen, archers, swordsmen, and buffalo hunting. It was fascinating to get acquainted with the costumes of the times of the Golden Horde, captivating stories about the life of the Golden Horde nomad warriors.
Sculptors from St. Petersburg, Ryazan, Yekaterinburg, Akhtubinsk competed for the title of the best in the Sand Sculpture Dreams of the Dunes competition. The young Genghis Khan chained in stocks, Batu Khan against the backdrop of the city he created and other figures were created from the sand. Outlandish masterpieces made of the most fragile and summery material will delight Astrakhan residents and tourists until October.
For the sixth time, the professional stage of the Golden Horde music festival has unfolded on the territory of the Sarai Batu complex - this time as a musical platform for the Dreams of the Dunes - 2017 festival. Until late at night, musical groups from different regions of Russia and neighboring countries competed for the prizes of the art festival.
