Armen was born in Yerevan. In addition to him, the parents also had an older daughter. When the boy was very young, Dzhigarkhanyan's dad left the family. The mother took over the upbringing, however, she soon married.
When the future actor turned six, the war began. With sadness, he recalls that, having survived those four years, he could never fully enjoy the holidays and gifts. Too bitter news accompanied these joyful events.
But there was during the war years and the post-war period and an outlet for the Dzhigarkhanyan family - the theater. My mother's passion for this art was also inherited by Armen. Already in adolescence, he knew that he would connect his fate with the acting profession.
Dzhigarkhanyan studied at a Russian-language school, the environment formed around him was also mostly Russian. The languages, Armenian and Russian, he studied equally. Therefore, a trip to the capital of the USSR after graduation did not frighten him - he was confident in his abilities.
In GITIS, where Armen Borisovich decided to enter, the young man's talent was appreciated, but they were afraid not to cope with a bright Caucasian accent. Due to poorly delivered Russian speech, the young man did not pass the competition and was forced to return home.
However, the young man was still drawn to this particular area. At home, in order not to lose a year, he got a job at the Armenfilm film company as an assistant cameraman. It was his first experience in cinema, and also - a whole year to improve the language.
Actor
The following year, the man entered the Yerevan Art and Theater Institute, at the acting department. Already in his second year, they began to offer him roles in the Yerevan Russian Drama Theater, and after graduating from high school, he became one of the most sought-after actors.
Over the next nine years, he will be introduced to almost thirty new productions of this theater, and in 1967 Armen Dzhigarkhanyan will again go to the capital - this time at the invitation of the legendary Anatoly Efros and will work in Lenkom until he leaves the post of artistic director.
Moscow helped the actor not only in creative self-realization. There he forgot his first, unhappy marriage.

The first wife of the actor was his colleague in the Yerevan Russian Theater Alla Vannovskaya. The love story developed very romantically: the lovers met, confessed their feelings to each other, got married ...
A charming daughter of young artists was born, named after the mother of Armen Borisovich Elena. But Alla suddenly discovered a dangerous incurable disease of a psychological nature.
At first, Armen was indulgent about her sudden attack of jealousy. Indeed, he is a prominent man, there are legends about the charm of Dzhigarkhanyan, it is not surprising that his beloved is jealous.
Then the attacks became more frequent and brighter, which made the man agitated. The marriage had to end when Alla, for no reason at all, began to rush at her husband with her fists, inventing for herself many of his love stories, which were not in sight and turning family quarrels into endless hysterical scandals.
The woman herself understood that something was wrong with her and, turning to specialists, she found out that she was suffering from a certain pathology. The marriage broke up, the man took his daughter to himself. But ahead of Armen Borisovich, another tragedy awaited. Two decades later, when Lenochka turns 23, she will fall asleep in a car with the engine running and never wake up.
Tanya
With his second wife, Tatyana Vlasova, Dzhigarkhanyan met when he was about to leave for Moscow. The woman, on the contrary, had just moved from Russia to Yerevan and, in love with the temperamental and talented Armen Borisovich, fell into despair only when she thought that she would have to part with her beloved.
Unable to bear the sad thoughts, she herself confessed her love to the man, talking about strong and tender feelings, giving him the opportunity to act now at his own discretion. Armen Borisovich by that time was in love with a girl, but did not want to fool his head - the capital was waiting for him ahead.
And then, after her confession, it turned out that the feelings are mutual! Tatyana again had to change her place of residence - Dzhigarkhanyan took her to Moscow. They lived as a friendly family: Tanya adopted Lenochka, Armen adopted Tatiana's son from his first marriage, Stepan.
The career of a charismatic actor went uphill. Time after time he was invited to shoot, they began to recognize him on the street, they gave positive feedback. In the mid-80s, Armen Borisovich was lucky enough to receive a quota for housing in the United States.
In America, the actor's wife really liked it, but for a long time he lived in two houses. He could not quit his activities in Russia, especially since over time he became not only a famous actor, but also an excellent teacher.
Officially, they lived together for almost forty years, but Dzhigarkhanyan never hid that for the last six years he had not communicated with his ex-wife at all, and feelings began to fade even earlier. He decided to get divorced only in 2015 - when there was a good reason for this.

They do not hide in theatrical circles: they have been talking about the novel of the head of the "Theater" D "- the theater Armen Dzhigarkhanyan, and the musical director of the same theater Vitalina Tsymbalyuk-Romanovskaya for a long time. Gossips attribute to them a fifteen-year-long romance, while the actors themselves name a smaller number.
Under what circumstances such a resonant relationship began (Vitalina is 47 years younger than her husband!), is unknown. But one fine day, Armen proposed to the girl, barely announcing his official divorce, and she accepted it.
The wedding was played in 2016 in the narrowest circle, letting only the closest friends from the press into the registry office. The date was specifically set for the middle of the week so that fans would not stare at the star couple.
In her interview, the girl recalls how they tried to hide the relationship: only a narrow circle of friends of Armen Borisovich knew. But one day Dzhigarkhanyan fell ill, consulted with an acquaintance of an academician and was immediately taken to the hospital.
At night, he felt uneasy and, calling Vitalina, he admitted that he would feel calmer if his beloved was nearby. To enter the territory of the clinic at night, the permission of the academician himself was needed. This is where I had to confess. He first gave the girl a scolding - they say, it is not worthwhile for the fans to interfere with the artist to recover, and, having understood the situation, he agreed to let Vitalina go to Armen.
Now Armen Borisovich is not removed, he stopped playing on stage, he gave the reins of the theater into the hands of his wife.
