Grigory Antipenko: biography, personal life, family, wife, children - photo. Grigory Antipenko - a confirmed bachelor? Do loved ones help you in work and in life?

04.03.2020

The women of our country fell in love with Grigory Antipenko after the release of the television series "Don't Be Born Beautiful", where he played the role of Andrei Zhdanov. His work in the theater and cinema arouses the interest of the public, each time the actor re-discovers himself to the audience.

We asked Grigory to talk about modern Russian cinema and the profession of an actor.

-What, in your opinion, is the reason for the success of the series “Don't Be Born Beautiful?”

At that time, not a single series in the dramedy genre had yet been shot in Russia, there was a dominance of bloody cinema everywhere. When the film "Don't Be Born Beautiful" was released, it was a direct hit. We managed to make a quality series, because everyone - actors, directors, cameramen - wanted to create. By the way, the main director Alexander Nazarov was my teacher at the Shchukin school. He is a talented teacher, an excellent director and artist. We believed that we could make a good movie, worked day and night. That is why the show has become so popular.

-Some praise TV series, others criticize. How do you feel about them?

I think serials are needed. This can be seen in the example of successful Western projects that bring creative and aesthetic pleasure to both the audience and the actors who play them. It is important that the creative process does not turn into a factory, that the shooting is not only for the sake of money. And now in our country there is just such a trend, so most of the Russian TV shows are failures. I hope that this period will pass, and in a few years we will be able to see good domestic films.

-What kind of films and performances do modern audiences need, in your opinion?

It seems to me that they are different. Now you can see a big stratification in our society. Previously, due to the total education of people, their desire for self-development, the public was intelligent. Great films have been made for her. Now only a small part of the audience perceives good cinema. But low-quality pictures are popular and have high ratings. I do not want to participate in such projects, to lower the bar.

I work for an intelligent viewer who is able to think, feel, empathize. I will not scold anyone, but the audience has become easier. So, as I said, films and performances should be different. When we play Orpheus and Eurydice, the audience sometimes freezes, and I don’t understand if this is good or bad. Not only they, but also we have lost the habit of high dramaturgy. People need to be taught good taste.

By the way, you played the main role in the play "Orpheus and Eurydice" staged by director Pavel Safonov. What are your impressions of this work?

Very good. "Orpheus and Eurydice" is a classic, thanks to which people think about their lives, about enduring values. The French playwright Jean Anouilh is a remarkable author. He transferred the plot of the ancient myth to the present and showed how hard it is to keep love in our world. We worked a lot on the play, correcting the shortcomings of the translation, which we did back in Soviet times. Another work in a similar style is Medea, which is also a play by Anouil. It is important that the performance is close and understandable to the public.

How is Russian cinema changing now?

Unfortunately, there are almost no old masters, and few young ones, and they cannot always realize themselves. Of course, there are very talented people, for example, director Alexander Chernykh. I have acted in his films. Once I listened to a radio program in which teachers of theater universities spoke. They said that now they enter creative specialties, mainly in order to earn good money. Previously, no one thought about it, everyone knew very well that in the cinema and theaters they pay little money. The exception was the stars who fell into the number of the elect. But it was tantamount to a lucky lottery ticket that no one really counted on. And now students say to teachers: “Why do we need “high matters”? Explain the basics, we'll do the rest ourselves." This is the wrong approach. Students should clearly understand why they came to the university and choose a profession not for the sake of money, but in order to realize their abilities. The main thing is that you like it! I think that over time the audience will get tired of low-quality movies, and the situation will change.

What is the most important thing in being an actor?

Remain yourself, do not lose moral principles and fortitude. You can not emasculate yourself, exchange for trifles. You need to respect the profession and the people for whom you work.

You go in for mountaineering, you have visited the Caucasus, the Tien Shan and other beautiful places. How does this passion affect your life?

For me, this is salvation. Sometimes I get tired of people, of our reality, and then I go to the mountains. I rest there, restore peace of mind. I need it. Climbing is a lot of fun. I don’t set records, although I manage to do a lot. In the mountains you can meet smart, intelligent, educated people, their company is very pleasant. For the first time he climbed to a height of 7000 km. and I will definitely continue to conquer other peaks. I would like to go to the Pamirs, and then to the Himalayas.

- Do your relatives help you in work and in life?

They help a lot. Life is changeable, there are different periods in it. Therefore, family, children - this is what makes life worth living.

-What would you wish the readers?

It is very important not to lose yourself, your soul, and then everything will turn out well.

Plays investigator Alexei Polyakov. A friend of the tragically deceased husband of the main character, he is the only one who has not turned away from the desperate woman, the only one who believes in her rightness and helps in the search for the missing child. In general, a real knight, noble, caring, fearless. Antipenko outplayed a great many such "gift" men, and therefore he treats his hero with a share of irony. We were able to talk to the actor right on the set. While the make-up artists were conjuring up Grigory's hair, curling naughty curls and doing styling, he spoke about a new role, about complexes, creative searches, discoveries and diamond chairs.

- Gregory, you have the main role in this project. Is it interesting to play?

I can not say that this is a central role. The main action is led by the main character, played by Olya Budina. I try to help her in every possible way - where male intervention is needed. Shout at someone, squeeze someone lightly. But yes, to a small extent. The role does not imply any serious creative discoveries - this is how the script is written. But it normal.

- Have there been recent works that have become a discovery?

Mostly theatrical. The performance "The result is obvious", for example. The rehearsals were difficult, but it was a creative search that resulted in a completely new paint for me, which I had not used before. This allows me to feel that I am not a one-dimensional actor and have not yet hit the ceiling. And quite a few people spoke well about the performance - it means that something happened, and it's nice. Everything else is work.

- That is, for the most part, work and pleasure are incompatible things for you?

Hard to tell. Work is good either way. It's worse when it's not there. Therefore, it is a sin to complain. Now I have become softer in assessing what is happening ... Apparently, I have aged and began to react more calmly to everything. And specifically on this project, an interesting scenario, and the team is good. And I am grateful to the people that every day they help me not to perceive work as a kind of hard labor and make up my everyday life - in general, not bad.

And yet, it seems that you are not very satisfied with yourself, with the roles that you are offered ... But at the same time, you do not refuse them.

Unfortunately, sometimes I have to make some compromises. I have a family and I need to feed it. The directors see me in certain images - I am partly a hostage to previously played roles, textures. In a situation where I deliberately lower the bar and agree to a poor-quality script and a not very interesting role, I naturally try to do something new. Sometimes it works.

By the way, about the family. "Mother's Heart" once again affirms the inviolability of family values. Are you a good father yourself? Or is it "so-so", as they admitted in one interview?

Maybe I would have been a good father if I had a different profession and I was a different person. It is difficult for me to stay at home, in one place. I can not. A day or two at most, and it undermines me, I have to fly somewhere, do something, otherwise I turn into an amoeba and stop loving and respecting myself. Some kind of motor inside is working, some kind of clock is ticking, constantly reminding that the period has not yet passed when you need to act, rush somewhere, save someone, look for your own soul, and so on ... Therefore, my children, probably, will not there is enough paternal attention, but they have no choice - they got such a folder. My father at one time also traveled a lot on business trips, although he still paid more attention to us. True, then the times were calmer, there was stability. Saturdays and Sundays have always been reserved for us. And now I can't brag about it. God forbid, once every two weeks I will meet with my eldest son, and I took my little children to Montenegro, and it is generally not known when I will see them next. It will turn out - I will break out for a day or two. This is life, this is normal. Although I always wish it were different.

I heard that in terms of this eternal search, you compare yourself with Ostap Bender. Do you think the day is near when you will find your diamond chair?

Yes, Bender is my absolute inner ego, it lives in me completely organically. I am a person in search - constant such, unhealthy, anxious. And I think it's right. Anyway, for me. Chairs come across different. Sometimes Viennese, there are stools, and there are also from the Gambsian set. But I am actually convinced that it is better not to find that same diamond chair, but to believe that it is somewhere. Whatever happens, as with Ostap, who found a chair and realized: there is nothing more to look for, the goal has been achieved. Or find it, but then the next one should be some kind of mega-diamond, platinum, but so that new aspirations necessarily appear and there are no stops.

You once mentioned that there is nothing worse than a discomplexed person. The conclusion suggests itself that you yourself must be the "happy" owner of a whole set of complexes ...

I guess I have quite a few of them. There is a theory that intelligence is to some extent a complex, and this is true. We are embarrassed to offend, inconvenience, be superfluous. Such complexes make a person more sensitive to others, to what is happening around. These complexes I find useful. All the rest that interfere with life and self-realization are, of course, harmful. I have enough of these and these. I try to get rid of bad ones. And useful live with me. And I'm not looking for a different degree of raskompleksovannosti. Although many consider me too shy or too suave. They say: "Grisha, be simpler." And I won't, I'm 35 - it's too late to change. What is - such is.

You call yourself a depressed person, say that many times you had to start life from scratch. How often do mental storms happen? For a long time there was a desire to "reset" once again?

Yes, it was the case. I have recently had a very strong depression, again, associated with the profession. I couldn't act, I didn't want to... Everything that comes out is far from what was expected. But, unfortunately, this is reality. Then one must either leave the profession, or try to break through, to do something in the circumstances that exist. It turns out one or two scenes for the entire project - already a victory. But it doesn’t work ... God forbid, the next one will work out. In any case, the profession does not tolerate downtime, waiting, subsidence. This is a constant action, the movement of the soul. And, of course, systematic training, otherwise everything is lost ... In general, I'm not that depressing. Just a run for creativity is not enough, and in accordance with the tasks set and the available opportunities, one has to resort to an already used palette. So what to do?

You are incredibly popular. The presence of five unofficial sites, the first places in the ratings of Russian actors, crowds of fans - it’s just right to have a star fever, and not vice versa. How do your critical attitude towards yourself and your success with the audience get along?

I am adequate - this is my trouble and my happiness. I take everything very well. It's not entirely correct, maybe I evaluate myself in my works - I don't like much, to be honest. So far, there has not been a single work that I would like to hang in a frame on the wall and be proud of. Only some isolated scenes. Perhaps that is why I have a very nervous nature in this sense. I think about it all the time. How to do better, in which direction to move, how to sharpen your skills? Therefore, I am very grateful to my fans who keep me in the ratings, but I treat this with a slight irony. Thank God if people like it. Sometimes it’s quite sad: you look at some movie, and you think: damn, what’s wrong - there’s no way to get out of this ... And they call me and say that I liked it, and at that moment I’m in some kind of stupor and I can’t understand how to take it. Like this? Maybe I'm really overly self-critical in my assessment ... Or is the audience's sympathy so great, advances on account of some past achievements? Mystery. In any case, I still don’t have any laurel wreaths on my head, I don’t think that I have reached serious milestones, that I have reached somewhere and rested, and then exactly downstream ... The chair, definitely, in the future - just in time for the question of Ostap .

Gregory was born into an intelligent family in Moscow. His mother worked as an engineer at Mosfilm, and it would seem that it was not difficult for a smart and artistic boy to get into the environment of filmmakers. However, until a certain age, he was not at all interested in the acting profession.

Despite the fact that the boy enjoyed going to the drama circle at the nearest cultural center to his home, he will begin to believe in himself as an actor at a fairly adult age. From extracurricular activities, he liked karate more, the section of which he also attended.

But Grisha was seriously fascinated by biology. As a child, he begged his parents to buy an encyclopedia and began to learn the names of animals in Latin.

Along with biology, he also understood chemistry. In order not to waste time, the inquisitive boy finishes nine classes and submits documents to the pharmaceutical school.

After graduating from it and getting a job as a pharmacist, Antipenko was somewhat disappointed with the choice of profession: instead of interesting experiments and bright discoveries, he had to spend his days doing monotonous pharmacy work. In order not to get bored completely, the young man began to look for himself.

Following was a position in social structures, and then fate brought him to Mosfilm as a decorator. Gregory's hands made many copies of museum exhibits that appeared in films.

M+W (2009)

He was 22 when he first saw the theater from the back of the auditorium - he got a job at the Satyricon as a stage worker. For two years, the man watched how rehearsals were going on, performances were being prepared, and after seeing enough, he remembered his childhood passion and took preparatory courses at the theater studio of the Moscow Art Theater.

The changes in his son's life were most surprised by his father, who considered Gregory a man without emotional. But precisely in order to reveal new qualities and feelings in himself, he moved to a new stage in his life.

Gregory entered the "Pike". At the testing stage, someone from the selection committee asked why a young man at such an adult age decided to come to them? After all, becoming an actor, he actually changes his life. To which Antipenko replied: "One life is not enough for me." The committee liked this attitude.

Having already become famous, in one of the interviews, Gregory admits that it took him time to find his vocation. He advises all people not to stop at casual work and look for a job that will satisfy and delight. Let it happen in adulthood and let something have to give up to achieve it.

The actor himself, in search of a vocation, had to give up the comfort that money gives. Then he will become famous and will receive good fees. But, in order to enter the profession, learn and gain experience, he and his small family had to literally save on food.

Actor

Torgsin (2017)

And the first family of the actor appeared quite early. Even in his youth, he fell in love with a simple girl named Elena. They played a wedding, and soon the firstborn of Gregory, little Sasha, was born. In an official marriage, they lived for about seven years. But the first wife did not wait for the day when her husband woke up famous. They divorced before his finest hour.

The first film role went to Gregory when he was in his fourth year. It was the "Code of Honor" - a series in which the character of Antipenko is involved in several episodes. However, the debut took place.

While still a student, Grigory enters the Mayakovsky Theater and collaborates with the "Class Theater", and after graduation he is enrolled in the troupe of the capital's "Et cetera". He excelled in the dramatic arts. Moscow notices a new talented actor, but all-Russian fame will come to him only after a triumphant appearance on television.

Andrey Zhdanov

Don't be born beautiful (2005-2006)

The first autographs on the street Grigory began to give out after the role of the villain, brilliantly played in the Talisman of Love. And the casting in the series "Don't Be Born Beautiful" became fatal for him.

The successful adaptation of the Colombian series "I'm Betty the Ugly Girl" from the first episodes won the hearts of the audience and introduced them to a whole bunch of young and promising Russian artists. Among the performers of the main roles was Grigory Antipenko. He played an irresponsible young man who inherited the Zimaletto fashion house from his father.

The actor has repeatedly emphasized that he has little in common with his hero and it took him a long time to study the image. But Antipenko considered Zhdanov from all sides and was able to convey those of his character traits that he himself does not possess.

Handsome and heartthrob Andrey Pavlovich fell in love with the whole country, and in Ukraine the actor even received the people's award "TV Star" for the embodiment of an ambiguous hero. Gregory became a real favorite of the audience throughout the former USSR.

Julia

The set of "Don't Be Born Beautiful" brought the actor not only recognition, but also the love of the beautiful Yulia Takshina, who played a narrow-minded and cool bitch, a lover of money and a beautiful life, however, sometimes very charmingly comical - Andrey Zhdanov's secretary Victoria Klochkova.

The public whispered during the filming: Grisha and Yulia have an affair! They did not hide from anyone and soon began to live together. The couple was not going to marry, they were so good. In a civil marriage, two sons were born - Ivan and Fedor.

After six years of married life, the couple separated. Gregory, nevertheless, loves his children very much and continues to communicate with them. According to Takshina, the former common-law husband is involved in all significant issues related to the boys.

After a sharp turn in his professional life, Antipenko was called to work in many projects. At first, he really agreed to a variety of roles.

But today, more than a decade after the premiere of the first series of Don't Be Born Beautiful, the actor notes that there are very few good projects to which he is called. He almost does not act in films and devoted himself to the theater.
