Elena et les garçons (Elena and the guys) is a popular multilingual project that has already managed to win the attention and love of the public and has established itself as a unique musical group, performing well-known and beloved pop retro hits in six languages in a new author’s reading. The group's repertoire consists of hits and classics in French, Italian, Spanish, German, English and Russian.
The stage charm of the soloist, Elena Lipaeva, combines two amazing qualities - emotionality and elegance. The singer was born and studied in Europe, so French is as native to her as Russian. In addition to French, Elena is fluent in all the languages in which she sings. If foreign guests are present at the event, they will appreciate the quality of the music.

Rostov-on-Don
One of the oldest groups in Rostov-on-Don. Having played on all the dance floors of the city and experienced three rebirths - “The Loch Ness Monster” - “Loch Ness” - “Electric Lenin”, the group became the same “Helen” group. The group included:
Oleg Mezherovsky - vocals, guitar, keyboards;
Alexander Makushin - bass guitar;
Sergey Cherevkov - drums.
While still essentially a group "Electric Lenin", and in spirit already a reborn group "Ellen", the musicians in 1989 recorded a truly studio work - the album "Old Romance", which was distinguished by high-quality sound and fresh musical thoughts in the direction of the electronic wave or , as the musicians themselves define it, “new bit”.
After O. Mezherovsky left for the army, the remaining A. Makushin and S. Cherevkov acquired a drum machine and played at weddings and graduations. A. Makushin sang and played guitar, keyboards, saxophone, and Cherevkov mastered the bass guitar.
Having returned, having served in Czechoslovakia in the military orchestra, O. Mezherovsky brought Roman Kalitkin with him to the group. A. Makushin, who graduated from university and went to work on television, by this time had withdrawn from participating in the group. And the group "Ellen" turned into a trio, consisting of:
O. Mezherovsky - guitar, vocals;
R. Kalitkin - guitar;
S Cherevkov - bass guitar
and the drum machine left over from A. Makushin, which added the new wave sound that was coming into fashion. The group initially focused on the British sound, drawn from records obtained and exchanged, on occasion, at the Melodiya store, abandoning the then dominant politics and social themes inherent in Russian rock at that time.
In 1990, the group decided to record an album with live drums from the accumulated material. To record it, an acquaintance from the Rostov rock club, based in the premises of the M. Gorky Theater, drummer Oleg Gumenov is invited. The album, called “Winter,” is being written in Pavel Omelchenko’s studio at the Khimik Palace of Culture.
In 1991, the Elen group, with the help of A. Makushin, recorded the album “Yellow City” at the studio of the Don TR television and radio company. The sound engineers of the recording were the same Alexey Nezhentsev and Vladimir Gubatov. Both albums were recorded with analogue sound using reel-to-reel tape recorders and hand-spliced tape.
All this time, the group performed at rock festivals held by the rock club in the Stroiteley Palace of Culture, the Krasny Aksai Palace of Culture, the Sports Palace, the House of Officers, together with the then little-known groups “Agatha Christie”, “CHAIF” and others. Due to problems with the equipment, homemade, impressive-looking speakers and amps are used for concerts.
In the same 1991, at the invitation of the group “Matrosskaya Tishina”, the group “Ellen” comes to Moscow for a joint performance and unexpectedly settles there for six months. During this period he tours in the cities of Pskov and Leningrad, where due to the lack of advertising the concerts are not particularly successful.
At this time, changes in the composition took place: Oleg Gumenov left the group for family reasons and returned to Rostov-on-Don, and shortly before that Viktor Sorokin joined the group and played the keys. O. Mezherovsky is studying English in Moscow and experimenting with phrases from the self-instruction manual, the first non-Russian-language songs are created. And with the transition to English-language creativity, the group changes its name and turns into “Sputnik Vostok”. But that's a completely different story...

Elena Et Les Garçons (Elena and the guys) is a group of bright, talented musicians with classical and jazz education, with extensive experience performing at various venues on completely different occasions: a private party on the occasion of a personal holiday, a corporate event of a famous company in Yusupovsky palace, a French film festival or a cozy jazz evening. The highlight of the group is that the vocalist is fluent in all the languages she sings in, and French and Russian are her native languages.
