Progress of the conversation

Teacher:– The topic of our conversation today is “Remember your roots.” What “roots” do you think our conversation will be about today? (Children's answers.)

Teacher:– We have gathered to talk about your family, about its traditions, hobbies, about your ancestors. Many of you have something to tell your classmates. Let's start our conversation with a riddle:

I'll ask you a riddle now.
Listen, here's my family:
Grandfather, grandmother and brother.
We have order in the house, okay
And cleanliness, why?
We have two mothers in our house.
Two dads, two sons,
Sister, daughter-in-law, daughter.
And the youngest is me
What kind of family do we have?

(Answer: 6 people: grandfather, grandmother, father, mother, son, daughter.)

Teacher:– Yes, it’s not easy for one person to live. And no matter what they say, family is the main wealth in life. That family where mom and dad were, and then the one you build yourself. What's happened FAMILY? (Children's answers.)

Teacher's summary: A family is a group of close relatives living together.

Teacher:– Until the beginning of the 20th century, the family consisted of several generations. It is no coincidence that the word was formed: “SEVEN” - “I”. Everyone lived as one big family, helping each other. Some kept up with the housework, others worked in the fields. They lived cheerfully, respected old age, and protected the young. The families were large and strong. I found a lot of evidence of this. Let us at least remember the folk proverbs and sayings that talk about family. I will start a proverb, and together you try to finish it...

Being a guest is good, but being at home is better).
You don’t need a treasure... (if there is harmony in the family).
The richer you are... (the more you are happy).
When the family is together... (then the soul is in place).
Alone in the field... (not a warrior).

Teacher:– Nowadays, families are small, often with one child each. But I wonder, in which family is it easier to live in the world? (Children's answers.)

Teacher:– And now, we will try to answer the question together: “Happy family. What is she like? (Children's answers.)

Teacher's summary:– A happy family is when everyone feels good together. Nobody annoys anyone, children don’t play pranks, and parents don’t quarrel. When parents don’t leave their children with their grandparents for the weekend, and the whole family celebrates holidays amicably and cheerfully. When parents have time to play with their child. When parents and children have common hobbies. When children and adults relax together, they travel together. When children and parents are passionate about the same activity, etc.

Teacher:– Do you think all families are the same? (Children's answers).

Teacher:– All families are different, they differ from each other in their habits, customs, hobbies, traditions. You wrote about your families in your essays, and now it’s time to talk about your families’ hobbies. (Children's stories.)

Teacher: Is there any in your families TRADITIONS? (Children's stories.)

Teacher's summary:Traditions are what has been passed on from one generation to another, what is inherited from previous generations.

Teacher:– Since ancient times, there was a custom in Rus': representatives of one family were engaged in one type of activity, passing on their skills and labor skills from generation to generation. This is how we were born DYNASTY. Dynasties of potters, tailors, bakers, military men, builders, teachers. For example, in my family, my grandmother is a teacher of Russian language and literature, my mother is a teacher of French and German, and my sister and I are primary school teachers.

Alyosha’s mother, Larisa Ivanovna, will tell us about one very famous family; she is a musicologist, head of the archive of the family of the famous musician Mstislav Rostropovich.

(A story about the Rostropovich family).

Students those whose families have dynasties tell the class about them.

Teacher:– A person is born, gets a name. Parents choose a name according to the calendar (church books) in honor of some saint whose holiday is celebrated on the day the child was born. Quite often, parents give the name they like (fashionable at the time), and other parents name their children after relatives. For example, I was named after my great-grandmother, Olga (show photo). Which of you were also named after your relatives? (Children's answers.)

Teacher:– There are many children in our class who have beautiful old names. Serafima, Matvey, Polina, Lyudmila, Grigory, Stefania...

Pupil Stefania talks about the origin of her name.

Teacher:– It’s interesting that the most popular female name of all times is Anna. Almost 100 million of its owners walk around the planet Earth.

So, our parents chose a name for each of us. The patronymic is formed from the father's name, which in turn was given to him by his parents. Where did the surname come from? The origin of surnames comes from the distant past. Some were formed from names:

Ivanov – descendant of Ivan; Vasilyeva - Vasily; Grigorieva - Gregory; Zakharova - Zakhara, etc. Some surnames come from the profession of their ancestors: – Kuznetsovs, Rybakovs, Stolyarovs. Some are from geographical names: Gorskie, Polyanskie, Rzhevskie. Do any of you know the origin of your last name? (Children's answers.)

Teacher:– As for the most common surnames, the situation with them is as follows: in Moscow alone there live more than 100 thousand Ivanov families, in Sweden there are more than 300 thousand Carlsons, who, of course, do not live on the roof, and in China 90 million Chinese respond with the surname Lee.

Teacher:– Collecting and storing family photographs is another tradition.

Every family has photographs that leave lasting memories of dear people and events. These photographs are kept in every family. Here is a picture of my great-great-grandparents. The photo was taken at the end of the 19th century. And in this picture my great-grandmother with her mother Pelageya. But this is my great-grandfather - the husband of my great-grandmother Olya, in whose honor I was named Olga. We carefully store these photographs.

I love this sacrament of kind,
The family spirit that lives on
Compelling the heart of the people
To be friends with the beauty of the past.
“Essay on Rastrelli” S. Kopytkin (1915)

Children's story about old photographs stored in the family archive.

Teacher:– Time will pass, and your children and grandchildren will look at your photographs, which you will leave in the family archive.

Student: Poem “Family Photography” (Valentin Berestov):

I'm putting on a new sailor suit,
And grandma straightens her hair,
Dad is wearing new striped trousers,
Mom is wearing an unworn jacket,
Brother is in a great mood,
Blush and smells like strawberry soap
And expects candy for obedience.
We solemnly take the chairs out into the garden.
The photographer instructs the camera.
Laughter on the lips. Excitement in the chest.
Silence. Click. And the holiday is over.

Teacher:- Guys, what makes a house a home, unlike other houses? What surrounds you in the apartment? (Children's answers.)

Teacher:– A person lives, uses some things that are dear to him, connected with various events in his life. And even when a person is no longer in the world, we continue to take care of his things, preserving with their help the memory of a person dear to us.

Many people have family items at home. RELICS- things sacredly preserved as a memory of the past.

Children's stories about family heirlooms.

Teacher:– With the advent of modern means of communication, people write letters less and less, and are increasingly limited to telephone conversations. But for our ancestors, letters were the main means of communication at a distance. In my family, letters and cards from our relatives are heirlooms. Letters... They are touching, mysterious, and contain the spirit of the past. I want to show you a letter that my great-great-uncle, Stepan Averyanovich, wrote to his beloved wife Katerina when he was serving in the Guards Corps. The letter was typed on an antique typewriter, with “Ъ” added at the end of the words. The letter is dated January 19, 1918. It is also kept in our family as a relic (excerpt read out).

A person is born, grows up, and thinks: “Who am I? Where are my roots? People have always respected their ancestors. The genealogy was written out on separate scrolls, which were passed on to subsequent generations. A.S. Pushkin was proud of his ancestors to such an extent that he ordered a button from the uniform of his distant ancestor Abram Hannibal to be inserted into his favorite cane, which he almost never parted with, and always proudly showed it to his friends.

Teacher:– Today we will get acquainted with science GENEALOGY.Genealogy is a branch of science that studies the origin of a family. Translated from Greek, it means “pedigree”, i.e. the science of searching for ancestors.

The history of the family is depicted in the form of a branched tree, which is called FAMILY TREE –a list of generations of one kind, where the origin and degree of relationship are established.

For example, the same A.S. There were 5,000 historical names in Pushkin’s family tree. The tradition of drawing up family trees is returning to families.

(Parents' stories about pedigree trees of families.)

Teacher:– Why do you need to follow family traditions, honor, respect them, preserve them, pass them on from generation to generation? (Children's answers):

Ask your family more often about their childhood, let them tell you as much as possible about their lives.

Teacher:– Today we talked about your families. But we must not forget that we have another large and friendly family - a family of students united by common interests. Our class is a family for all 11 school years. Our team will also gradually develop our own traditions: matinees, holidays, excursions, hikes.

I propose to plant a friendship tree for our class today.

(To the soundtrack of Oscar Feltsman’s song “Plant a Tree” performed by M. Boyarsky, students cut out pens and leaves from colored paper and stick them on a pre-prepared tree trunk).

Summing up the class hour:

Teacher:– Did you like our conversation today? How many of you wanted to know more about your ancestors? What questions do you have that you want to ask your parents?

HEROIC TRADITIONS OF THE PEOPLE - OUR SPIRITUAL HERITAGE
Main concepts covered: hero, heroism, fortitude, traditions, heroic traditions.

BASIC PROVISIONS

Traditions have always played a huge role in people's lives.
Heroic traditions– this is the concentration of the labor and military experience of the people.
They express the most stable moral customs, which, due to their value and vitality, are passed on from generation to generation.
Heroic traditions like a living clot of past military experience that we
received as an inheritance and are used by us in a variety of forms. They allow us to treat heroic history with care, preserve the most rational forms of behavior and action, with the help of certain rituals, and pay tribute to the heroes - the creators of feats. Heroic traditions seem to invite new generations to continue and develop noble customs.
The heroic traditions of the people include:

Traditions of loyalty to the heroic story, the unwavering commitment of man
the common cause, true ideals and values, its indissolubility with the heroics of the past;
-traditions of faithful service to the Motherland;
-traditions of respect for the older generation, which through labor and military
through their actions they strengthened the power of the Fatherland;
-traditions of looking up to the lives and deeds of worthy sons and daughters of our people,
personified in the guise of heroes;
-traditions of Memory of those who gave their lives for their people, for their Motherland;
-traditions of construction of memorial complexes, monuments, fire of Eternal Sla=
you and caring for them as a tribute to the great achievements of our ancestors, grandfathers and fathers, as a wise reminder to living generations: to be faithful to the heroic traditions;
-traditions of respect and honor to state, military and labor symbols
Homeland;
-tradition of leaving a chronicle of one’s time for posterity;
-traditions of passing on invaluable labor and combat experience to younger generations;
-traditions of holidays and outstanding anniversaries.
Let's remember: heroic traditions for us are an eternal reminder of the past. A reminder that the connection between times is carried out by people and the deepest “mystery”
The strength of tradition lies in its continuity. Each of us, by assimilating the covenants, experience, morals, customs, and rules of our predecessors, makes this great connection of times inextricable, strong, and dynamic.

Educational goals:

Formation of the need to preserve and continue the heroic traditions of the people
yes, follow them in your life, participating in socially significant activities, work for the good and prosperity of the Motherland, in preparation for the defense of the Fatherland;
-formation in young men of moral, psychological and physical readiness for
their fulfillment of their constitutional duty to protect the Motherland.
MEANS OF IMPLEMENTING THE PROBLEM

Communication (education)

  1. A series of conversations in the Circle of Communication “About our spiritual heritage.”
  2. Film lecture "Heroic traditions of Russians in cinematography."
  3. "Heroic traditions of the people in literary works"
  4. “Heroic traditions of Russians in painting and sculpture”
  5. "Heroic traditions in the family."
  6. “Heroic traditions in the system of life of the school community”;
  7. “Combat traditions are in the ranks!” (on the basis of military units and units).
Activity

1. Concern for perpetuating the memory of those who fell in defense of the Fatherland
A subject of special attention for veteran organizations, military units and
educational institutions is to preserve and enhance the traditions of caring for perpetuating the memory of those who fell in defense of the Fatherland. This concern can be expressed in:
— compiling and studying the Calendar of memorable dates of Russian heroic history;
- searching for materials about heroes;
- assigning names of heroes to settlements, streets, military units and units
schools, educational institutions, children's and youth associations;
- writing Books of Memory;
- adding heroes to the lists of personnel of military units and units, bodies
Ministry of Internal Affairs, OU Book of Honor;
- opening of memorial complexes, memorial plaques, steles (a worthy example of this
can serve as Municipal Educational Institution Secondary School No. 34 in Samara);
- preservation, participation in the repair and reconstruction of existing and opening of new memorial plaques, memorial complexes, monuments, obelisks;
- holding sports competitions, tournaments in memory of the heroes of the Second World War and local wars and conflicts.
2. Revival of rituals by schoolchildren and members of children’s and youth associations, which were once accepted into the All-Union Pioneer Organization. Rituals united by a common name "Salute to fallen heroes!" They will undoubtedly create an emotional community in any group of children and adults, evoke a feeling of empathy, and provide an opportunity to understand more deeply the exploits of older generations. These rituals have deep content, are distinguished by their emotionality and brightness. They are well remembered by former pioneer leaders, pioneer standard bearers, buglers and drummers. It is these people who will be able to assist in the revival of these rituals. Let's remember these rituals:
-Ritual “Validation of heroes” - this is a roll call and a short story about the hero’s feat;
laying flowers or garlands of Glory on portraits, monuments, obelisks, memorials; a minute of silence and bowing of banners and flags; fireworks in honor of the memory of the victims. At Verification, they honor the memory of heroes well known to all participants in the solemn act: relatives and friends of teachers and students of the school, fellow villagers and townspeople who died in the flames of war; names of heroes about whom modern schoolchildren collect materials; the names of heroes immortalized in museums of Military Glory, in the names of streets and avenues. The “Validation of Heroes” ritual can be held as a separate gala event on Defender of the Fatherland Day, Victory Day, the Day of the Beginning of the Great Patriotic War, Navy Day, etc., or as an element of a gala evening, meeting with veterans, gathering of red rangers, rally, ceremonial assembly.
-Ritual “Laying the Garland of Glory.” Garland of Glory - a symbol of immortality
military exploits of great-grandfathers, grandfathers and fathers; a symbol of fidelity to the fighting traditions of our people. Made from fresh flowers, branches of doom, spruce, pine and entwined with a guards or simply red ribbon, Garlands of Glory are laid on the days of the death of heroes, on the days of memorable celebrations at monuments, obelisks, memorials, mass graves, and the Eternal Flame. On these days, schools can host ceremonial formations and lines of remembrance, at which war veterans, teachers, students and their parents, and guests from military units will speak. The director of the school or museum of Military Glory reads out the decision of the school council or museum council on who is entrusted with the right to lay the garland of Glory at the memorial site. After the ceremonial formation or line, their participants, led by the ritual group, head to the place where the garland will be laid. If the school is located far from any memorable places, then the group goes by car or bus along with representatives from teachers, students, veterans, parents and other participants in the solemn act.
-Honor guard ritual may be established by decision of the school board
or the council of the Museum of Military Glory on Defender of the Fatherland Day and Victory Day at portraits of heroes, memorial plaques, monuments and obelisks, memorials and mass graves, at the Eternal Flame. Depending on the duration of the guard, the number of shifts is formed. Each shift has two or four people. Changes are made every 10-15 minutes. Going to the post can be accompanied by the sounds of a bugle and drumming (on old records with the signals of a pioneer bugle and drum you can find a special melody “Validation of Heroes”). Participants in the guard of honor are given commemorative certificates. Honor Guard groups must wear full dress or specially tailored uniforms.
3. Transfer of traditions from older generations to younger ones
He who does not know and does not remember the heroic past cannot be spiritually god-
tym. That is why it is so important to make it a tradition to pass on the heroic traditions of the past to each new generation. The system of this type of activity may include:
-collection of materials and creation of books dedicated to the continuation of labor and war
cultural traditions in the families of pupils, teachers, residents of the microdistrict “Continuation of military and labor traditions in our family”;
-meetings with representatives of labor and military dynasties of compatriots;
-development and implementation of rituals for the transfer of traditions from the Winners - heirs
Kam Pobeda “Our feat is an inheritance for our children and grandchildren”; “Inheritance of labor glory to children and grandchildren”;
-Meeting of the older generation with the younger generation “We leave you a legacy.”
-carrying out “Sacred Memory Faithful!” campaigns;
- holding parades of the Winners and their heirs “Salute, Victory!”;
-installation of monuments, obelisks, memorial signs and patronage over them;
- patronage of monuments, obelisks, mass graves, memorials;
-carrying out a relay race of good deeds of the heirs of labor and military feats of great
grandfathers, grandfathers, fathers.
The preservation and enhancement of the heroic traditions of older generations will
also contribute to:
- revival of patronage ties between military units and educational units -
nym institutions;
- holding open days in military units;
- revival of the martial arts of the peoples of Russia and systems of education for boys,
boys, men (for example, “Russian Health”), organization of clubs for teenagers and young men;

“We will be dexterous and strong, as defenders of the country,” “Password: “Loyalty!” Courage! Honor!";
- holding gatherings of Youth Army members and eaglets of different generations;

Application
From the treasury of human wisdom
V. A. Sukhomlinsky:
- “From how a person in his childhood relates to the heroic feat of his
fathers and grandfathers, his moral character, attitude to public interests, to work for the good of the Motherland depend.”
- “Strength of spirit as moral valor begins with faith in moral shrines
our Fatherland, people. A person who does not believe in anything can be neither spiritually strong, nor morally pure, nor courageous. Faith in these shrines gives a little person extremely valuable spiritual qualities: vision and feeling of the big world of social life, the desire to live in this world.

This is a voluntarily founded unit of society with the primary reasons for its creation, which is love and respect between spouses. The fundamental task of every family is procreation, which is carried out at the birth of children, to whom family values and traditions are traditionally passed on.

People remember those traditions that were established and observed in the family, for example, the obligatory New Year's Eve with the family.

Celebration of May 9

May 9 is a sacred holiday for all Russians, when they pay honor and respect to all those who died on the fields of the Great Patriotic War. A new emerging tradition. Annual march of the Immortal Regiment. This tradition shook the whole country, because in Russia there is not a single family that was not scorched by the flames of the Second World War. Marching in the unified formation of the Immortal Regiment, the people of one country feel how united they are and are ready to defend the freedom and independence of their country. This wonderful tradition should be passed on to the younger generation, so that young people know and honor the memory of all those who died in the war.

Russia has a strong tradition of large families. Every year, the President of the country presents awards to the best representatives of large families. Each family has its own, sometimes simple traditions, but they determine those norms of behavior and views that are considered unshakable for the family. Grandparents, giving their care and love to their grandchildren, can be sure that their grandchildren will not leave them in the plight of lonely, forgotten old people, because the family tradition includes the care and guardianship of frail loved ones.

What to do to bring the family together?

In order for the family to be friendly, you need to make a little effort, for example, make it a tradition to organize family councils. General family councils, where pressing problems are jointly resolved and collective decisions are made.

Here are some tips for keeping your family united:

  1. Always celebrate the birthdays of all family members. It is very important for children that they are remembered and loved, so they are given a birthday party.
  2. The newly revived tradition of child baptism. In deeply religious families, this tradition has never been interrupted.
  3. It is a very good tradition when the whole family goes out into nature or spends a vacation together. It’s a good idea to go on educational excursions to museums, cities and countries with the whole family.

Family values are of no small importance for a family. Moreover, it can be not only a jewelry box. In all the vicissitudes of the 20th century, few could preserve family jewels, but albums with yellowed photographs can tell a lot about the history of a family’s ancestors. Photos will help restore the historical roots of the family and create a family tree of family history. Children, seeing with what love their parents treat the past of their ancestors, will transfer this tradition to their families, where they will sacredly honor and preserve family traditions. Conclusion:

Family is the most important thing in a person’s life. Parents should know that the memory of family traditions and values laid down in childhood will be securely stored and passed on to the future generation.

Most families have their own public or unspoken traditions. How important are they for raising happy people?

Traditions and rituals are inherent in every family. Even if you think that there is nothing like this in your family, most likely you are a little mistaken. After all, even the morning: “Hello!” and evening: “Good night!” - this is also a kind of tradition. What can we say about Sunday dinners with the whole family or the collective making of Christmas tree decorations.

First, let’s remember what the word “family,” so simple and familiar from childhood, means. Agree, there may be different options on the topic: “mom, dad, me,” and “parents and grandparents,” and “sisters, brothers, uncles, aunts, etc.” One of the most popular definitions of this term says: “A family is an association of people based on marriage or consanguinity, connected by a common life, mutual moral responsibility and mutual assistance.” That is, these are not just blood relatives living under the same roof, but also people who help each other and are mutually responsible. Family members in the true sense of the word love each other, support each other, rejoice together on happy occasions and are sad on sad occasions. They seem to be all together, but at the same time they learn to respect each other’s opinions and personal space. And there is something that unites them into one whole, unique to them, in addition to the stamps in the passport.

This “something” is family traditions. Do you remember how you loved to come to your grandmother for the summer as a child? Or celebrate birthdays with a large crowd of relatives? Or decorate the Christmas tree with your mother? These memories are filled with warmth and light.

What are family traditions? Explanatory dictionaries say the following: “Family traditions are the usual norms, behavior patterns, customs and views accepted in the family that are passed on from generation to generation.” Most likely, these are the usual standards of behavior that the child will take with him to his future family and pass on to his children.

What do family traditions give to people? Firstly, they contribute to the harmonious development of the child. After all, traditions imply repeated repetition of some actions, and, therefore, stability. For a baby, such predictability is very important; thanks to it, over time he ceases to be afraid of this big, incomprehensible world. Why be afraid if everything is constant, stable, and your parents are nearby? In addition, traditions help children see in their parents not just strict educators, but also friends with whom it is interesting to spend time together.

Secondly, for adults, family traditions give a feeling of unity with their relatives, bring them closer, and strengthen feelings. After all, these are often moments of pleasant time spent together with those closest to you, when you can relax, be yourself and enjoy life.

Thirdly, this is the cultural enrichment of the family. It becomes not just a combination of individual “selves”, but a full-fledged unit of society, bearing and making its contribution to the cultural heritage of the country.

Of course, these are not all the “advantages” of family traditions. But even this is enough to make us think: how do our families live? Perhaps we should add some interesting traditions?

There is a huge variety of family traditions in the world. But still, in general, we can try to conditionally divide them into two large groups: general and special.

Common traditions are traditions found in most families in one form or another. These include:

  • Celebrating birthdays and family holidays. This tradition will certainly become one of the first significant events in the baby’s life. Thanks to such customs, both children and adults receive many “bonuses”: anticipation of the holiday, good mood, the joy of communicating with family, a feeling of being needed and important to loved ones. This tradition is one of the warmest and most cheerful.
  • Household duties of all family members, cleaning, putting things in their places. When a child is accustomed to his household duties from an early age, he begins to feel included in the life of the family and learns to care.
  • Joint games with children. Both adults and children take part in such games. By doing something together with their children, parents show them an example, teach them different skills, and show their feelings. Then, as the child grows up, it will be easier for him to maintain a trusting relationship with mom and dad.
  • Family dinner. Many families honor the traditions of hospitality, which helps unite families by gathering them around the same table.
  • Family council. This is a “meeting” of all family members, at which important issues are resolved, the situation is discussed, further plans are made, the family budget is considered, etc. It is very important to involve children in the council - this way the child will learn to be responsible, as well as better understand his family.
  • Traditions of “carrot and stick”. Each family has its own rules for what you can (if possible) punish a child for, and how to encourage him. Some give you extra pocket money, while others give you a trip to the circus together. The main thing for parents is not to overdo it; excessive demands from adults can make the child uninitiated and lethargic or, conversely, envious and angry.
  • Rituals of greeting and farewell. Wishes of good morning and sweet dreams, kisses, hugs, greetings when returning home - all these are signs of attention and care from loved ones.
  • Days of remembrance of deceased relatives and friends.
  • Walking together, going to the theater, cinema, exhibitions, traveling - these traditions enrich the life of the family, making it brighter and more eventful.

Special traditions are special traditions specific to one given family. Perhaps this is the habit of sleeping until lunch on Sundays, or going on a picnic on weekends. Or a home cinema. Or hiking in the mountains. Or…

Also, all family traditions can be divided into those that developed on their own and those that were consciously introduced into the family. We'll talk about how to create a new tradition a little later. Now let’s look at some interesting examples of family traditions. Perhaps you will like some of them and want to introduce them into your family?

How many families - how many examples of traditions can be found in the world. But sometimes they are so interesting and unusual that you immediately begin to think: “Shouldn’t I come up with something like that?”

So, examples of interesting family traditions:

  • Joint fishing until the morning. Dad, mom, children, night and mosquitoes - few people will dare to do this! But a lot of emotions and new impressions are also guaranteed!
  • Family cooking. Mom kneads the dough, dad twists the minced meat, and the child makes dumplings. So what if it’s not quite straight and correct. The main thing is that everyone is cheerful, happy and covered in flour!
  • Birthday quests. Each birthday person - be it a child or a grandfather - is given a card in the morning, using which he looks for clues leading him to the gift.
  • Trips to the sea in winter. Packing your whole family's backpacks and going to the seaside, breathing in fresh air, having a picnic or spending the night in a winter tent - all this will give an unusual feeling and unite the family.
  • Draw cards for each other. Just like that, without any reason or special artistic talent. Instead of being offended and pouting, write: “I love you! Although you are sometimes unbearable... But I’m not a gift either.”
  • Together with the little ones, bake shortcakes for the feast of St. Nicholas for orphans. Joint selfless good deeds and trips to an orphanage will help children become kinder and more compassionate, and grow up to be caring people.
  • Bedtime story. No, it’s not easy when a mother reads to her baby. And when all the adults read in turn, and everyone listens. Light, kind, eternal.
  • Celebrate the New Year in a new place every time. It doesn’t matter where it will be - in the square of a foreign city, on the top of a mountain or near the Egyptian pyramids, the main thing is not to repeat yourself!
  • Evenings of poems and songs. When the family gets together, everyone sits in a circle, composes poems - each one a line - and immediately comes up with music for them, and sings with a guitar. Great! You can also organize home performances and puppet theaters.
  • “Putting” gifts for neighbors. Remaining unnoticed, the family gives gifts to neighbors and friends. How nice it is to give!
  • We say warm words. Every time before eating, everyone says nice words and compliments to each other. Inspiring, isn't it?
  • Cooking with love. “Did you put down love?” “Yes, of course, I’ll put it in now. Please give it to me, it’s in the locker!”
  • Holiday on the top shelf. It is a custom to celebrate all holidays on the train. Have fun and on the move!

In order to create a new family tradition, you only need two things: your desire and the fundamental consent of your household. The algorithm for creating a tradition can be summarized as follows:

  1. Actually, come up with the tradition itself. Try to involve all family members as much as possible to create a friendly, cohesive atmosphere.
  2. Take the first step. Try your "action". It is very important to saturate it with positive emotions - then everyone will look forward to the next time.
  3. Be moderate in your desires. You shouldn’t immediately introduce many different traditions for every day of the week. It takes time for customs to take hold. And when everything in life is planned down to the smallest detail, it’s also not interesting. Leave room for surprises!
  4. Strengthen the tradition. It is necessary to repeat it several times so that it is remembered and strictly observed. But don’t take the situation to the point of absurdity - if there’s a snowstorm or rainstorm outside, you might want to give up the walk. In other cases, it is better to observe tradition.

When a new family is created, it often happens that the spouses do not have the same ideas about traditions. For example, in the groom’s family it is customary to celebrate all holidays with numerous relatives, but the bride celebrated these events only with her mother and father, and some dates could not be celebrated at all. In this case, the newlyweds may immediately develop a conflict. What to do in case of disagreement? The advice is simple - just a compromise. Discuss the problem and find a solution that suits both of you. Come up with a new tradition - already common - and everything will work out!

In Russia, from time immemorial, family traditions have been honored and protected. They are a very important part of the country's historical and cultural heritage. What kind of family traditions were there in Russia?

Firstly, an important rule for every person was knowledge of his ancestry, and not at the level of “grandparents,” but much deeper. In each noble family, a family tree was compiled, a detailed pedigree, and stories about the lives of their ancestors were carefully preserved and passed on. Over time, when cameras appeared, family albums began to be maintained and stored, and passed on to younger generations. This tradition has survived to this day - many families have old albums with photographs of loved ones and relatives, even those who are no longer with us. It’s always nice to review these “pictures of the past”, to be happy or, conversely, to be sad. Now, with the widespread use of digital photographic equipment, there are more and more frames, but most often they remain electronic files that have not “flowed” onto paper. On the one hand, storing photos this way is much easier and more convenient; they do not take up space on shelves, do not turn yellow over time, and do not get dirty. Yes, and you can shoot much more often. But the trepidation associated with the expectation of a miracle also became less. After all, at the very beginning of the photo era, going to a family photo was a whole event - they carefully prepared for it, dressed smartly, everyone walked joyfully together - why isn’t it a separate beautiful tradition?

Secondly, the primordial Russian family tradition has been and remains to honor the memory of relatives, remember the departed, as well as care and constant care for elderly parents. In this, it is worth noting, the Russian people differ from European countries, where elderly citizens are mainly cared for by special institutions. Whether this is good or bad is not for us to judge, but the fact that such a tradition exists and is alive is a fact.

Thirdly, since ancient times in Russia it has been the custom to pass on family heirlooms from generation to generation - jewelry, dishes, some things of distant relatives. Often young girls got married in their mothers' wedding dresses, who had previously received them from their mothers, etc. Therefore, many families always had special “secrets” where grandfather’s watches, grandmother’s rings, family silver and other valuables were kept.

Fourthly, it was previously very popular to name a newborn child after one of the family members. This is how “family names” appeared, and families where, for example, grandfather Ivan, son Ivan and grandson Ivan.

Fifthly, an important family tradition of the Russian people was and is assigning a patronymic to a child. Thus, already at birth the baby receives part of the clan name. By calling someone by name or patronymic, we express our respect and politeness.

Sixth, previously, very often a child was given a church name in honor of the saint who was honored on the child’s birthday. According to legend, such a name will protect the child from evil forces and help in life. Nowadays, such a tradition is observed infrequently, and mainly among deeply religious people.

Seventh, in Rus' there were professional dynasties - entire generations of bakers, shoemakers, doctors, military men, and priests. Growing up, the son continued his father’s work, then his son continued the same work, and so on. Unfortunately, now such dynasties are very, very rare in Russia.

Eighth, an important family tradition was, and is still being returned to more and more often, the mandatory wedding of newlyweds in church and the baptism of infants.

Yes, there were many interesting family traditions in Russia. Take, for example, a traditional feast. It’s not for nothing that they talk about the “broad Russian soul.” But it’s true that they carefully prepared for the reception of guests, cleaned the house and yard, set the tables with the best tablecloths and towels, served pickles in dishes stored specifically for special occasions. The hostess came out to the threshold with bread and salt, bowed at the waist to the guests, and they bowed to her in return. Then everyone went to the table, ate, sang songs, and talked. Oh, beauty!

Some of these traditions have hopelessly sunk into oblivion. But how interesting it is to notice that many of them are alive, and they are still passed down from generation to generation, from father to son, from mother to daughter... And that means the people have a future!

The cult of family traditions in different countries

In Great Britain, an important point in raising a child is the goal of raising a true Englishman. Children are raised in strictness, taught to restrain their emotions. At first glance, it may seem that the British love their children less than parents in other countries. But this, of course, is a deceptive impression, because they are simply accustomed to showing their love in a different way, not the way, for example, in Russia or Italy.

In Japan, it is very rare to hear a child cry - all the wishes of children under 6 years old are immediately fulfilled. All these years, the mother has been engaged only in raising the baby. But then the child goes to school, where strict discipline and order await him. It is also curious that the entire extended family usually lives under one roof - both old people and babies.

In Germany, there is a tradition of late marriages - rarely does anyone start a family before the age of thirty. It is believed that before this time, future spouses can realize their potential at work, build a career, and are already able to provide for their family.

In Italy, the concept of “family” is comprehensive - it includes all relatives, including the most distant ones. An important family tradition is joint dinners, where everyone communicates, shares their news, and discusses pressing issues. Interestingly, the Italian mother plays a significant role in choosing a son-in-law or daughter-in-law.

In France, women prefer a career to raising children, so after a very short time after the birth of a child, the mother returns to work, and her child goes to kindergarten.

In America, an interesting family tradition is the habit of teaching children to live in society from early childhood, supposedly this will help their children in adulthood. Therefore, it is quite natural to see families with small children both in cafes and at parties.

In Mexico the cult of marriage is not so high. Families often live without official registration. But male friendship there is quite strong, the community of men supports each other, helps in solving problems.

As you can see, family traditions are interesting and great. Do not neglect them, because they unite the family and help it become one.

“Love your family, spend time with them and be happy!”
