Ivan Vasiliev is a world ballet star. Each of his performances, and on any continent, is a grandiose event for the public, which idolizes Vasilyeva ... Most recently, Masha and Ivan had a daughter. But Maria is already in the ranks. On December 16, at the Christmas evening "Christmas Ballet Gala" in the Kremlin Palace, her next premiere is the ballet "Scheherazade". Who is the partner? Of course, Ivan Vasiliev!

WITHhow many years have you been together?

Ivan: In December, I turned three years old.

Is it a lot or a little?

Maria: Depending on which side to look.

I .: With me - a year in two.

Why such speeds?

I.: Because I am a cheerful person. ( Laughs.)

Each of you had your own personal life, your own career. What united you?

M.: Scene. At the Bolshoi Theater we danced together in Spartacus, Vanya - the main part of Spartacus, I - Phrygia, his beloved. Since this all started. ( Smiling.)

In the ballet world, many are obsessed with their profession.

I: I'm just struggling with this. It's just ballet, not all of life. I guess I really realized this when I had a family, when my daughter was born. You come home, and you need to be able to switch.

M .: Of course, I want to spend as much time as possible with my little daughter, but you also need to do everything in your career.

How old is your daughter now?

I: Five months. For the sake of my daughter, I work hard, tour a lot.

Sometimes I come home late at night, and at five in the morning I have to fly somewhere again. The only thing that gives me strength and makes me gather internally is my daughter and family.

How quickly did you feel that your relationship could end in marriage?

I .: We came together like a puzzle, we immediately felt harmony. From the first week we started dating, it was so easy for us to be together. Now we have multiplied this feeling, we have become a full-fledged family, this cannot but rejoice. True, I courted Masha for almost a month.

I understand, Ivan, that with your reactivity, a month is an eternity.

Seeker: For me, even an hour is sometimes an eternity, everything is relative.

M .: And it seems to me that this time somehow dragged on slowly.

I .: I was touring all the time then. Courtship was at a distance, I sent Masha parcels, flowers.

M .: Basically it was flowers.

I.: I remember once I brought you a box and told you to open it when I was already on the train. I stopped in Moscow then literally at ten o'clock.

And you, Masha, of course, liked all this?

M .: Well, what woman does not like it when she is beautifully looked after? ( Smiling.) Maybe these signs of attention were especially expensive and valuable, because real feelings arose.

When you are dancing in a duet, the scene is sure to highlight the true feelings. Did you already dance together after the birth of your daughter?

M .: Yes, on November 29 we had Spartak. In fact, being in position, I set myself the goal of getting back on stage very quickly. I realized for myself that if I settle on maternity leave, I will never come back.

Our profession is the business of the young, and if you fall out of the process for a long time, then you can miss a lot. So, as soon as the doctors allowed physical activity, I started going to a ballet class. This happened a month after giving birth.

Everything spun so quickly that at the beginning of the season I was actively involved in the work. It was difficult, of course. Vanya saw my torment, in the summer he went to the theater with me, gave me a class, helped me get in shape.

I .: I could not convince Masha that we still need to stay at home. I'd love to sit in her place. (Laughs.)

M .: While on maternity leave, I went to performances in which Vanya danced. "Spartak", "Ivan the Terrible" in the Bolshoi ... I flew with him to St. Petersburg, to Novosibirsk, even to Japan. I really wanted to go on stage!

At one time there was a high-profile story when Ivan Vasilyev, already being the premiere of the ballet and having all the possible privileges in the theater, unexpectedly left the Bolshoi. Do you, Vanya, have no desire to go back?

I.: I left, but in fact I did not go anywhere. Because already a month after “leaving” the theater, I again began to collaborate with the Bolshoi as a guest soloist, and I continue to cooperate to this day. I have many interesting projects around the world. At the moment, the situation with the Bolshoi Theater suits me. I like to come there, to dance my favorite ballets, the Bolshoi is my first theater, my home, my beginning, and I feel very comfortable here.

I remember well your first performance at the Bolshoi in 2006. You danced in Basil's Don Quixote, the main male part, the most difficult part, designed for a mature dancer, and you were only seventeen years old then! This is a unique case for the Bolshoi Theatre, there has never been anything like it before or since.

M.: Vanya is a unique case in itself. ( Smiling.) I mean his brilliant career. On stage, he is honest, always gives his best - even if there are injuries, he will never save strength. And in life he is as open as on stage.

That's just about strength and energy. Once, a very dramatic episode happened at the creative evening of the ballerina Ulyana Lopatkina. Ivan began to dance a fragment from the ballet "The Flames of Paris", suddenly lost his balance, fell, then started dancing again and as a result, right on the stage, he lost consciousness. Personally, it was painful and scary for me to watch all this ...

I .: Yes, I was dancing then with a temperature of over forty, only backstage I came to my senses, on some kind of bed. They called an ambulance.

And who needs such sacrifices and why?

I: Well, I can't say no. ( Smiling.)

Were you scared then?

I: No, it was not scary. It was embarrassing.

M .: Not a single artist is immune from this. There are things that cannot be controlled on stage. Injuries happen. I had a broken leg. I “broke down” on the run of a new performance. I worked with this fracture for about a week, because the doctors did not see the fracture on the X-ray.

I walked on crutches for a month, then it took a long time to recover. And I had so many premieres planned then! Of course, you need to take care of your health. Need more time to rest. Even Vanya already understood that he needed to take care of himself. I am responsible for the health of our family. All the time I make sure that my husband takes vitamins, does massages ...

One more moment. I remember very well how, before my debut in Don Quixote, just before the start of the performance, I asked Ivan if he was worried when he stepped on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater for the first time. And Ivan self-confidently answered: “Why worry about something?” I was very surprised by this reaction.

I .: Probably, it was youthful maximalism, a defensive reaction. I can say that if the excitement disappears before the performance, you can leave the profession.

So you were lying then?

And of course. And perhaps because of the adrenaline, I did not understand how much I was worried. Now I understand that no matter how much I dance, I get more and more worried. When you grow, when you reach a certain level, you become responsible for what you do. Every time you step on stage, you have to be the best version of yourself.

At seventeen you had Don Quixote. Where to grow next?

And you succeeded. You've had a phenomenal career and are applauded all over the world.

I .: Over the years, I have managed to dance in many places. I worked with the best dance troupes in New York, London, Munich, Rome... I was Ivan the Terrible, and Spartak, and the Prince in Swan Lake, and the Evil Genius there. I don’t have such that, they say, like this, you put me as an Evil Genius, and I only want to be a prince. If the role is interesting to me, let it be secondary, what's the difference. After all, you can go out and dance it so that it becomes the main one!

It's right. You seem to have very different personalities. If Ivan is temperamental, explosive, then Masha is calm, unflappable...

I.: In some ways, we are still similar. For example, both are homemade, such “couch troops”. The biggest thrill is when you can sit at home together, talk ...

I know that Masha is a native Muscovite, but Ivan has a rich geography.

I .: Yes, it shook me. I was born in the Primorsky Territory, and studied ballet in Minsk. ( Smiling.)

Why Minsk and not Moscow?

I.: I was advised good teachers there. From Vladivostok we moved to Ukraine, I was twelve years old. From there to Minsk.

Interestingly, Vanya, were you told from the very beginning that you have outstanding ballet abilities?

I .: At the age of five, I already danced a variation from Don Quixote ...

...Wow!

I.: So, probably, there was a potential. I can’t say that everything was easy, but I liked to work since childhood.

I didn’t like to idly run around the school, play tag or sit in a computer club, it was simply not interesting to me, and what’s the point of all this? He only did what could bring some result. I have always been a leader, I even learned English for this reason. When I came to work under a contract in New York, at the American Ballet Theatre, I thought: how is it that I won’t be the soul of the company? And he began to learn the language. I guess it's in my nature to be the center of attention. ( Smiling.)

Were you invited to the Bolshoi after winning the Moscow International Ballet Competition? In any case, then everyone was just talking about the phenomenal Ivan Vasiliev.

I .: They invited a little later. I received a gold medal at a competition in Moscow at the age of fifteen.

М.: By the way, Ivan and I met there for the first time: that year I also became a laureate.

I .: No, we first met before, when you came to a concert to us at the Minsk School. Don't you remember? I participated in a one-act production staged especially for me, and Masha danced in The Nutcracker. True, then we did not meet.

Why?

I.: I was generally a shy boy. He went on stage, danced, and then remained in his own world. Every time when a ballet was given in the Minsk theater, I was sure to be in the auditorium, in the gallery. Classmates at the school were surprised: “Why do you go to the same production so many times?” But I didn’t understand how you can skip, the performers are different every time, there is a lot to learn.

Your older brother Victor is also into ballet. Have you followed in his footsteps?

I.: No, rather, he followed mine. It so happened that we began to study together in a folk ensemble, and then I was ahead of him everywhere. I went to Minsk, a year later he arrived. When I came to the Bolshoi, he entered the Moscow Academy of Choreography. Now my brother works at the Bolshoi Theater in Mimans, so there is only one Vasilyev in the state! ( Smiling.) And I was called to the Bolshoi three times.

Did you have to persuade?

I .: The first time they called for a conversation when I was at a competition in Perm, so I could not come. I won the Perm competition, and they called me a second time, but at that time I had state exams at the school. And on the third time, they actually sent me a train ticket. I got acquainted with the management, and I was immediately offered to become a soloist.

Usually, everyone starts with the corps de ballet.

I .: In the Bolshoi, this happened for the first time: seventeen years old, only from the school bench - and immediately a soloist.

Did you think that all this was in the order of things, or did you perceive it as gifts of fate?

I.: What are the gifts of fate? I just wanted to make it happen. At the age of twenty, I already became the premiere of the ballet, bypassing the position of the leading soloist.

In Masha, in this sense, everything is even, smooth, step by step.

M .: Yes, I went through all the steps at the Bolshoi: from the artist of the “second corps de ballet” to the leading soloist. The first major role was Anastasia in Ivan the Terrible, then Spartak, and then new interesting roles.

And Ivan is now also a choreographer. Tell me, when did you feel the need to stage ballets?

I.: Even before dancing. I always want to do something new, otherwise it's boring. Masha constantly heard that I wanted to bet, and then one day she told me: “If you want, bet.” That is, in fact, pushed me to realize my dream.

M .: When Vanya composes a ballet, this is a separate story. A person is completely immersed in his world. He can wake up in the middle of the night, turn on the music, start telling me something or even showing me something.

I .: Several of my productions are in the repertoire of the Mikhailovsky Theater, where I serve today.

And on December 31, the Hermitage Theater will host the premiere of my two-act ballet A Christmas Carol based on Dickens' novel A Christmas Carol, I myself am dancing a hero named Scrooge.

If Ivan dances on December 31 in St. Petersburg, then you will celebrate the New Year separately?

I .: I specifically scheduled my premiere for sixteen hours, so that later I could catch a plane to Moscow. So we will definitely celebrate the New Year together!

Ivan Vasilyev is a Russian ballet dancer, a star of the St. Petersburg Mikhailovsky Theater, who previously performed at the Bolshoi Theater, where he was also the premiere. Vasiliev made his debut as a choreographer, presenting the audience with the author's performance "Ballet No. 1".

Ivan was born in the village of Tavrichanka, Primorsky Krai, in the family of a military officer, Vladimir Viktorovich Vasiliev. But soon his father was transferred to the Ukrainian city of Dnepropetrovsk, where Vasilyev spent his early years. When the boy was 4 years old, he, along with his mother and older brother Victor, went to see a children's folk ensemble. Initially, only his brother planned to enter there, but Vanya showed interest in dancing so zealously that the teachers took him too.

Since then, wherever Ivan Vasiliev studied, he always turned out to be 2-3 years younger than his classmates. At the age of 7, the boy first saw a ballet performance and fell in love with this art form. From the folk ensemble, Vasilyev went to the Dnepropetrovsk choreographic school, and later studied classical dance at the Belarusian State Choreographic College under the guidance of choreographer Alexander Kolyadenko. Vasiliev was admitted to college immediately for the third year: the young man was already freely performing those elements that his peers had not even started yet.

During his studies, Ivan trained at the National Academic Bolshoi Theater of the Republic of Belarus and performed on stage in productions of Don Quixote and Corsair. And after college, the young man went to Moscow and won the right to get into the troupe of the most famous theater in the post-Soviet territory.

Ballet

In 2006, a young and talented dancer got on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater. It took the artist only four years to bypass the title of leading soloist and become the premier of the ballet troupe. In addition to the main roles in the performances of "Spartacus", "Don Quixote", "The Nutcracker", "Petrushka", "Giselle", Ivan Vasiliev participated in the international project "Kings of Dance" together with him.

Ivan Vasiliev's dance, according to critics, is distinguished by expression, impulsiveness, and strength. The dancer's jumps to a great height and with a hover look not like an acrobatic etude, but like a manifestation of emotions, jubilation and excitement. The audience especially loved the play "Romeo and Juliet" in a chamber production, where Ivan Vasilyev also danced the leading parts. The dancers managed to embody the tragedy of two lovers on stage. Critics noted Vasiliev's readiness to experience strong emotions on stage, the manifestation of dramatic talent.

And suddenly, at the end of 2011, the news sounded like a bolt from the blue: the leaders of the Bolshoi Theater Ivan Vasilyev and Natalya Osipova were moving to St. Petersburg, and not even to the Mariinsky, but to the Mikhailovsky Theater, which was at that time much lower in the rating.

It turned out that the dancer needed a new serious challenge, tough motivation in order to grow further. In addition, in the new dance group, the artist was offered roles of dramatic and lyrical content, while in the Great Vasiliev's repertoire consisted mainly of heroic images.

This orientation was primarily due to the physical data of the artist: with an average height, Ivan Vasilyev has well-developed muscles, wide hips, while for lyrical images, according to generally accepted canons, an elegant and sophisticated figure is required.

In St. Petersburg, Vasilyev managed to expand the boundaries of his own repertoire and go beyond one role. At the Mikhailovsky Theater, the artist mastered the parts of Prince Desire from The Sleeping Beauty, Frondoso from Laurencia, Solor from La Bayadère.

In addition to the St. Petersburg theater, Vasilyev regularly appears on the stage of the American Ballet Theater, and also participates as a guest artist in private performances, author's projects - "Solo for Two" in the contemporary style and at the opening ceremony of the Olympics in Sochi in the film "Natasha Rostova's First Ball". The last performance was staged by a choreographer, and the prima ballerina of the Mariinsky Theater danced with Ivan.

The actor is considered one of the highest paid ballet dancers in the world. But this fact is of little interest to the young man. Ivan Vasiliev sees art in ballet in the first place and proved this by trying himself as a choreographer. Ivan staged an unusual performance "Ballet No. 1", in which he tried to show the possibilities of the human body both in solo parts and in duets.

The artist generously shares information about his creative achievements and plans for the future from the pages of the official website. There is also a biography and colorful photos of Ivan Vasiliev, soloist in the leading roles. The dancer places videos and announcements of new performances on the page in " Instagram”, where family pictures are also found.

Personal life

The dancer's personal life develops in parallel with his professional activities. Almost immediately after Ivan Vasiliev moved from Belarus to Moscow, the dancer began a warm relationship with the ballerina Natalya Osipova. Young people together reached the title of prime minister and prima and became a couple on stage and in life.

Then they went together to St. Petersburg. For many years, acquaintances expected the wedding of artists, but in the end, the young people broke up. This was largely due to Natalia's desire to leave her homeland and go to London. Ivan did not plan to move. Natalia Osipova fulfilled her dream alone and became the prima ballerina of London's The Royal Ballet at Covent Garden.

At the Bolshoi Theater, the dancer met a new love, the ballerina Maria Vinogradova. At that time, the girl was the wife of Alexander Savitsky, the owner of the Trekhmer company. Vasiliev and Vinogradova danced together in the ballet "Spartacus" and immediately felt attracted to each other. On the first date, Ivan invited the girl to the Bolshoi Theater, however, to the opera.

Vasiliev proposed to his beloved in a romantic style: the whole room was strewn with fresh rose petals, the young man, like a knight from a novel, knelt on one knee and presented Maria with an expensive ring from a jewelry brand.

Of course, the girl in love could not resist and agreed. The official marriage ceremony took place in June 2015. And exactly one year later, the couple had a daughter, who was named Anna.

Ivan Vasiliev now

Now Ivan Vasiliev continues to cooperate with the Mikhailovsky and Bolshoi theaters. In St. Petersburg, the dancer is busy in the main parts of the ballets Le Corsaire, The Flame of Paris, performs in Gala concerts of ballet stars, and in Moscow Vasilyev dances in productions of Ivan the Terrible, The Bright Stream. Together with Maria Vinogradova, Ivan Vasiliev makes up the duet of the main characters in the ballet Giselle.

The couple are preparing numbers for solo performances together. At the concert “Stars of Benois de la Danse – laureates for a quarter of a century”, the dancers presented the duet “Memories” to the music of Ludwig van Beethoven.

For May 2018, the artist plans the premiere of the play “The Beginning. Strings. Amadeus" of the author's project V.I.V.A.T., which will take place on the stage of the Moscow RAMT Theater. This is a chamber ballet, the main roles of which will be performed by the stars of the Bolshoi Theater.

Maria Alexandrova and Vladislav Lantratov

Premier of the Bolshoi Theater Vladislav Lantratov and People's Artist of Russia Maria Alexandrova have known each other for a long time, but in the summer of 2014, while Petruchio was taming the obstinate Katarina on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater, the artists entered into an alliance not only creative.
Having previously experienced emotional and physical traumas, Maria, according to mutual friends, accepted Vladislav's feelings as a reward. Joint walks along the lanes of the Arbat, jewelry surprises and gatherings in Coffeemania on Sadovaya-Kudrinskaya noticeably softened the laughter and dance of this strong woman, who even rewarded her Odette with the severity of her suffering nature.

Before Alexandrova, Lantratov met with ballet dancer Anastasia Shilova.

For piquancy, it is worth noting that Maria is 10 years older than Vladislav. In addition, she left her husband, the artist Sergei Ustinov, whom she married in 2007.

In my opinion, purely externally, Vladislav is inferior to her husband, an artist,
but, as they say, do not drink water from the face)

Ivan Vasiliev and Maria Vinogradova

Vasiliev is the premier of the Mikhailovsky Theater and already, at 26, an Honored Artist of Russia. Vinogradova is the leading soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre.

Their romance began with a joint work in the production of "Spartacus" in 2013, in which Vasiliev danced Spartacus, and Vinogradova - Phrygia.

Ivan Vasiliev invited Maria Vinogradova on their first date... to the Bolshoi Theatre, but to the opera. The couple's romance developed more rapidly than the second act of La Bayadère. The Mikhailovsky Theater premier quickly decided that a $50,000 Graff ring would be the best way to express his feelings for his beloved. On the day "X" Vasiliev strewed the floor in the living room with rose petals, fell on his knee in front of Vinogradova and offered her his hand and heart. The girl did not resist.

« What kind of person is he? Best. My. Not in the sense that he is my property. He is my man. I feel comfortable with him", - said Maria Vinogradova in an interview with Tatler magazine, the cover of the February issue of which was decorated with this bright couple. It’s impossible not to admire Ivan and Maria (it’s tempting to switch to the folklore “Ivan da Marya”) - they are young, beautiful, happy, in love and are not going to hide it.

This summer, the lovers officially signed)

Marriage with Ivan is the second for Mary. Previously, she was married to the brother of the general director of the Silver Rain radio station, Dmitry Savitsky, Alexander, the owner of the Trekhmer company.
After the divorce, the ballerina had a relationship with the host of the Eagle and Tails show, Anton Lavrentiev, for two years.

It is worth mentioning that for a long time, almost from the moment of graduating from college, Vasilyev met with the prima ballerina Natalia Osipova. Everyone was already sure that they would get married and live together to the grave, but unexpectedly, two years ago, the couple broke up.

Now, as you know, Natalya Osipova is dating Sergei Polunin, who has repeatedly declared his commitment to the ballet standard))

In addition to an affair with Osipova, he dated Covent Garden ballerina Helen Crawford and an aspiring Bolshoi ballerina Yulia.

Artem Ovcharenko and Anna Tikhomirova.

Artyom and Anna met at the ballet school at the Bolshoi Theatre, entered the Bolshoi with a difference of two years, both went from choreographers to soloists, and Artyom was awarded the title of prime minister 2 years ago.

Young people have been dating for 7 years. And they recently announced that they will get married soon).

From the interview:

WITHhow many years have you been together?

Anna: In October it will be seven years. And we met much earlier, when we were teenagers. Once, at a New Year's disco at the choreographic school, Artyom invited me to dance and said that he liked me. But career and uch:) took away all the strength, there was no time for relationships. However, years later we ended up in the same theater - the Bolshoi. Then Artyom began to take care of me seriously. And I did this until I finally realized that I really want to be close to this person.

Anastasia Stashkevich and Vyacheslav Lopatin

Prima ballerina and leading soloist of the Bolshoi Theater

got married in 2011)

Denis and Anastasia Matvienko

The premier of the Mariinsky Theater has been married to the soloist of the same theater for twelve years, they are raising their two-year-old daughter Lisa.

From the interview:

Nevertheless, you still chose a ballerina as your wife - Anastasia Matvienko. So, is there something special about them?

Ballet dancers only marry ballet dancers because they are too busy. If you train all day, rehearse, and in the evening you also dance in a performance, then where will you go to get acquainted? So it turns out that most of the marriages are intra-ballet.

Nastya and I met at the Serge Lifar Ballet Competition, where I was not supposed to perform - I just came to watch. Standing backstage, I saw a girl dancing on the stage - beautiful, bright and very talented - it was obvious right away. We met, I tried to look after Nastya, but at first I didn’t have much success. She even did not immediately answer the marriage proposal, which I made by putting a diamond ring in the pocket of her jacket. But, fortunately, we have been together for eleven years already, we have a wonderful daughter, Liza, who I consider the main victory in my life.

Did your wife decide to give birth without fear for her ballet career?

Today, ballerinas do not have to sacrifice their careers for the sake of their personal lives, nor their personal lives for the sake of their careers. Simultaneously with Nastya - plus or minus a couple of months - several more ballerinas of the Mariinsky Theater gave birth to children. My wife recovered very quickly and started dancing again four months after giving birth.

Leonid Sarafanov and Olesya Novikova

The Premier of the Mikhailovsky Theater is married to the first soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre. They met and got married when Leonid was the premier of the Mariinsky Theatre.

The couple has three children. Five-year-old son Alexei, two-year-old Ksenia. And literally two weeks ago, on December 16, the son Alexander was born.

Ekaterina Kondaurova and Islom Baimuradov

Prima ballerina and leading soloist of the Marinsky Theater Ekaterina Kondaurova and Islom Baimuradov could play the unearthly beauty of vampires from the Twilight saga: plastic movements, eyes that look into the very heart, insinuating, more precisely, bewitching voices. But the artists would still not exchange their favorite troupe for shooting in girlish melodramas. Devotion to ballet and led them to each other ten years ago.

Ekaterina came to enter Vaganovskoye from Moscow, Islom - from Austria. But because of the eight-year difference, they did not even know each other. Although the girl recalls: when Islom was already serving at the Mariinsky, and schoolgirl Katya came to rehearsals, running down the corridor she heard: “Oh, what girls we have here!” And, turning around, she saw a grinning handsome man.

Today, he is not only the love of her life, but also a strict mentor - Islom is increasingly engaged in tutoring and does not give concessions even to Katya. At home, they like to cook together to the music, and any pleasant melody, from classics to System of a Down, serves as a backdrop for roast lamb with spices. But not Swan Lake, please!

From an interview with Catherine in 2009:

I danced a lot with my husband, Islom Baimuradov, he is also a Mariinsky soloist. We really like to perform together, it's a completely different feeling. The audience notices this, in the same New York, people were surprised: “It’s just some kind of chemistry between you.” - “Yes, we are husband and wife!” Our family is over a year old..

- Was the wedding like Volochkova's?

- There was none: we got up at 8 in the morning, signed at 9, went to the lesson at 11, in the evening we had "Swan". I was dressed in a trouser suit, with a tie ... I think that a wedding is a private matter for two. If there are very big celebrations, it is probably for the public. And then often that's why they live together - well, after all, they still saw the wedding. And here - our desire, no one participated, even my mother did not know until the moment when, after the recording, we came already with rings, and before the lesson I called her in Moscow. She is an understanding person.

Islom always tries to help Ekaterina, rehearses with her even at home. I liked how in one program he said: " I didn’t become a star, unfortunately my body didn’t allow it. But if I have a wife at home who can become a star, why not help her" And " We try to be together 24 hours a day. Necessarily. That's why I got married. Well I guess that's the meaning of life".

Victoria Tereshkina and Artem Shpilevsky

The prima ballerina of the Mariinsky Theater and the soloist of the Bolshoi Theater got married in the summer of 2008.

From an interview with Victoria:

- On stage, partners change, but in life, which partner did you get?
- I knew about my future husband from the age of sixteen. We studied together at the Academy of Russian Ballet. For me, he seemed something unattainable - the man of my dreams. But, as you know, dreams do come true. After studying, we met while touring the world, sometimes in Moscow at concerts. Later, he admitted to me that all this time he liked me. But for a long time we did not communicate with him in any way, except for studying each other with our eyes. And during the recent tour of the Mariinsky and the Bolshoi in Japan, we finally met, we began a correspondence ...
– E-mail?
– SMS-kami! I knew for a long time that he was very good. For me, not only external qualities are important in a man - beauty and “height”, but also what he is inside. Because to live after all not with beauty. In a word, last summer I married the soloist of the Bolshoi Ballet Artem Shpilevsky.
- How do ballerinas decide on family life?
“At first, I didn’t want to get married. But in life, a lot of things happen as if by themselves. You suddenly meet a person and realize that you can live happily ever after with him.
D do you think about procreation?

- There was a moment in my life when I could not imagine myself as a mother, it seemed that everything was still very far away. But now I'm getting ready for it. In the meantime, she got a cat - a Russian blue. Fate gave it to me. Someone closed it in our entrance in the shield. She meowed so plaintively that my husband and I could not stand it and warmed up. Right now I'm sitting with you, and I think about her - she sits at home all day hungry and waits for me. She always sees me off with such a reproachful look, knowing that I will return late.

In 2013, the couple had a daughter, Milada.

"Why did you choose such a rare name for your daughter?

It is Old Slavic and means “sweetheart”, “okay” - what more could you want for a child? My husband and I decided to name our daughter that, even when she was in her stomach.

How does the husband help with education?

His main help is that thanks to him, my mother has the opportunity to attend my performances: while Artyom is babysitting her daughter, she can slip away to the theater. Because when I am at rehearsals, it is my mother who spends time with Milada, who recently specially moved to St. Petersburg from my native Krasnoyarsk - I could not entrust my daughter to any other person.

Artem, who was a soloist of the Bolshoi Theater, probably could have danced quietly for another five years, but left the stage. Why?

The profession has ceased to bring him pleasure, and this is the worst thing. He even admitted that when he saw his last name in the distribution of parties in new performances, he simply went to hard labor. This despite the fact that at the beginning of his journey he was very fond of dancing - first he left Russia for Seoul, where he quickly went from a choreographer to a theater premiere, then he accepted an offer to become a soloist of the Berlin Staatsoper, and then moved to Moscow. Of course, all relatives lamented his departure from the theater, but he prepared for such a step in advance: he graduated from the law faculty of MGIMO, and now he is engaged in business. But thanks to his decision, we finally united. After all, the first three years after marriage lived in different cities.

And a little about ballet artistic directors

Sergey Filin and Maria Prorvich

The artistic director of the ballet troupe and the choreographer of the Bolshoi Ballet have been together for about 15 years, raising two sons.

True, Sergei Filin is not a model of a faithful husband. The whole country learned about this in 2013, during a hearing in the case of an attempt on his life. From the record of the case, it turned out that Filin had an intimate relationship with ballerinas Natalya Malandina, Olga Smirnova
and Maria Vinogradova. He also tried to persuade Angelina Vorontsova to such a relationship.

And all this with the living wife of Maria Prorvich.

Maria, as a true friend, comrade and brother, forgave her husband all the sprees, and supported him in everything, throughout the treatment, investigation and trial. However, Filin in court categorically denied any relationship with other ballerinas. And he does not get tired of saying in an interview that Maria is his main love, his most faithful friend, and that the family is the meaning of his life.

By the way, Prorvich is the third wife of Filin. From the second marriage with prima Inna Petrova, Sergei has a son, Daniel.

Igor Zelensky - Yana Serebryakova

The path of Igor Zelensky to family happiness was long and thorny. In addition to gossip that he met with a bunch of his partners in all theaters, I managed to find out from the Internet about his romance with a ballerina Zhanna Ayupova. From the memoirs of her friend: “Jeanne got married early and gave birth to a son, Fedya, and it seemed that her life would continue peacefully. But it was not so! .. I can't think of another more precise definition... And Zhanna left her husband... The novel proceeded stormily, but it ended... True, watching the development of their relationship from the very beginning, I believed that the novel contributed to Ayupova's creative flourishing ".

Zelensky broke up with Zhanna when he met a figure skater Ekaterina Gordeeva.Igor met Katya through his friends, and the feelings that she aroused in him made the dancer fall in love with no memory, neglecting all conventions. " Katya is the most beautiful woman, - Igor said . - She was broken after the death of Sergei. as a close friend, I hope I can bring some joy and comfort into her life.". Throughout this romance, Katya and Igor secretly attended performances with each other and, when a rare opportunity arose, met backstage. They spent all their free time together. Despite the serious conspiracy, which they went against their personal desire, they still failed to hide the truth.

Zelensky did not get to the wedding with Gordeeva. But with the young soloist of the Mariinsky Yana Serebryakova- came.
In 2007, their eldest daughter was born, who was named by the unusual name Mariamiya.

After Yana, Zelensky gave birth to two more children - a son and a daughter.

She left her career as a soloist. Engaged in teaching activities.

Alexey and Tatyana Ratmansky

They met in the late 80s in Kyiv. Tatyana was a ballerina at the National Opera of Ukraine and Alexei's partner. In 1992, the two of them left to work in Canada. In 1995 they returned to Kyiv, but faced with many obstacles of a creative and bureaucratic nature, in 1997 they left for Denmark. In Denmark, their son Vasily was born two years later.

In Denmark, Alexey developed his talent as a choreographer. Since 2003 he has been the artistic director of the Bolshoi Ballet Company, and since 2009 he has been a permanent choreographer of the American Ballet Theatre.

From an old interview:

- Do you like the life of a nomad artist?

- The main inconvenience is that I cannot
make time for your son.

- Who does he look like?

- I think that it’s me, although Tatyana and I are very similar to each other
on a friend. By the way, my wife and I gave birth to Vaska together - in Denmark, fathers are present during childbirth. By the way, I was the first to take my son into my arms.

Vasily's son, who is very similar to his father.

Until now, on Facebook, Alexey does not get tired of confessing his love to his wife Tatyana.

Why does everyone think
that ballerinas are nothing
don't eat?"

Maria Vinogradova is the embodiment of all the best that exists in the ballet world. The girl is equally beautiful both in the title role of Giselle on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater and in everyday life. In an interview for a joint project between Buro 24/7 and Cartier, Maria spoke about how costumes for Bolshoi productions are made, whether it is possible to go on stage in jewelry and whether she has professional superstitions.

peasant girl, then, of course, you can’t go on stage in jewelry. But when the role allows, they are acceptable. They give us something, we take something from our stocks.

Let's dispel some myths about the life of ballerinas. Are you talking about diets? I don’t even know why everyone around thinks that we don’t eat anything. Personally, I love to eat. Especially at night. Especially sweet. (Laughs) I got lucky with that.

Do you have professional superstitions? I think all artists, creative people have them. But no one will give out their "secrets". I will reveal only a small part: I always go on stage with my right foot.

You posed today wearing jewelry from the Amulette de Cartier collection. Which one suits you best in terms of symbolism? Chrysoprase as a symbol of creative achievements. Energy, strength, harmony - everything that is associated with him is important, and especially in my profession.
