How do people become artists?

12.07.2020

In every profession and every kind of art, theory should not be neglected in any way. A composer can never write a melody without learning the music. So is the artist. No one has the right to call himself an artist if he does not have theoretical knowledge about composition, perspective, anatomy, the theory of light. Of course, you need not only to know the rules, but also to be able to correctly apply them in practice.

Don't be discouraged if something doesn't work. Even among professional artists, there are those who are strong, for example, in drawing still lifes and architecture, but are completely unable to draw the smooth and gentle curves of the human body. And vice versa, the artist will easily draw a portrait, and the landscape or still life in his performance will look clumsy and rude. Need constantly work on your weaknesses. They won't disappear on their own.

Expanding horizons

If you like a particular direction, anime or comics, realism or other specific style, you should not focus only on it. You need to broaden your horizons. Artists who work in only one direction, sooner or later become hostages of established patterns.

Constantly drawing the same thing, the artist will never create anything new. When a person is familiar with different styles of drawing, he can mix separate directions, creating at the same time original and unique drawing. This is much more interesting than redrawing the same characters dozens of times from different angles and angles.

Think about work

The main question that should accompany each of your drawings is why is it created. Don't limit yourself to drawing. "cool things" or pretty half-naked girls. Your work should say something to the world. Do you have something to say?

Do not touch only the lowest level of pleasure. Try to go deeper. Engage the intellect and emotions of the viewer. The quality and originality of the work directly depends on how much of their emotions the author has invested in a picture, song or any other work of art.

copying reality

In creative drawing, it is rarely welcomed. After all, to convey reality there is a camera. You, as an artist, have a unique opportunity to control the world around you. Something can be removed, something on the contrary, emphasized. Something to detail, add your own, remember about abstraction and surrealism. It's a shame to have so much power and not use it at all.

Sometimes even an ordinary cast of your own foot in the picture will look much more original and pleasant than a hyper-realistic drawing that simply shows the world around you.

It is inappropriate to spend days or even weeks on a drawing, painstakingly working on details, when the same result can be obtained in a few minutes of working with a camera. Of course, if copying reality is what your job is, then that's fine. But still don't forget to leave room for creativity.

Polishing is not always in place

Of course, it is up to you to decide how scrupulous to approach the detailing of the picture. But remember: bringing to the ideal is, in fact, a meaningless process, since it is impossible to achieve the ideal. Instead of focusing on one thing, it's better to spend more time looking for new solutions and ideas.

Like a chef who is constantly experimenting with new ingredients, an artist must also constantly think about new styles and techniques. This approach will greatly increase your creativity and tell you when and which drawing method to use is more appropriate.

What should be the practice?

Constant practice is the key to success, but thousands of sheets of the same scribble will not bring you the desired result. You also need to practice smart. Draw what you can't draw yet, rather than repeat hundreds of times a drawing that you are good at even with your eyes closed. Of course, on this path you will not avoid mistakes. This is not bad, but rather good. Just a must analyze your mistakes.

This approach will help save you from repeating mistakes in the future. Explore the outside world. After all light, shadow, shape- all this obeys the physical laws of nature. By becoming aware of them, you can significantly improve your own drawing technique.

Moscow was not built in a day. It takes many years of practice and training to become a true professional. This also applies to drawing. By drawing a few dozen pictures, you will, of course, improve your skills, but to achieve great results need hundreds if not thousands of pictures. And drawn wisely, with a thorough analysis of all the shortcomings and errors.

Take, for example, a close-up portrait. In order to draw one head, you need to have sufficient knowledge about the skeleton, muscles, skin. About how exactly the light falls on the surface, how the eyes reflect the surrounding world, how to convey the age and emotions of the person being painted. Drawing affects almost all branches of science: biology, physics, psychology.

An artist, like any other person, lives surrounded by people who will certainly express their impressions and comments. Lead for this and there is creativity - evoke emotions in people. Anyone who is unable to perceive criticism will not be able to become a good artist, because criticism is an integral part of creative development and formation.

At first, you should not count on objective and reasoned criticism. Behind the general shortcomings, it is difficult to discern minor errors. Therefore, most advice will be like "Learn the basics!" Follow these tips, improve the level of theoretical knowledge, learn to apply them in practice. When the basic rules are followed, it is easier to see and point out the details where the author has made a mistake.

General education

The world around us is not a collection of separate categories. Religion, culture, economics, sports, social relations- all this is connected by one big inextricable network. The more knowledge you have about the outside world, the better artist you can become.

Personal experiences are rarely interesting to strangers. It is much more pleasant and interesting for them to watch how general trends and events in the world are reflected in the minds and work of artists. learn form your opinion about the main events in the world and convey that opinion through the canvas.

This role is for you. Or not?

Why someone becomes an artist, someone a singer, and someone an acrobat. We are all equal from birth. It's just that some people can spend hours doing one thing, while others can do something completely different. A person becomes an artist when he is interested in drawing, he can spend hours on one drawing. It means he has perseverance and patience. If these qualities are not inherent in you, think about whether it is worth starting at all. After all, it is quite possible that at the first difficulties you will simply abandon drawing and do something completely different.

Each of us has a different potential, and in view of the environment, upbringing and habits, each individual disposition to creativity. If you just want and like to draw, you will not necessarily become a good artist. To desire, you need to put a lot of effort, patience and perseverance. Desire will only indirectly help you endure all the trials that will stand in your way.

The main contribution to development will still be given by regular practice, which will often be difficult and uninteresting. If you only have a desire, and every step is given to you with great difficulty, sooner or later you will simply begin to hate drawing. Remember wanting to achieve something and approaching this role are completely different things..

Imagine a dancer who literally "vomits" dance floor Everyone sees his success, everyone notices the ideal movements and dreams of dancing no worse in the future. It seems that it is not at all difficult, because the dancer's movements are so light and unconstrained. But one has only to look deeper and see many hours of daily training, worn out shoes and fingers worn to calluses, as the idea of becoming a dancer immediately disappears.

It's the same with artists. Each master passed a long road of disappointments, mistakes, sleepless nights, lack of progress, hatred for one's own occupation or for oneself in general. Only after all the difficulties did they achieve what they are called "great artists".

This post came about quite spontaneously. But in the end, after spending two hours on it, I'm glad that I said everything I wanted to say for a long time. Let this be a repetition of what has already been said - but my own, carried out through my experience. And if at least someone after this post goes and draws even the smallest picture, this is already a victory. Well, or cook a cake =) After all, despite all our fears and inconveniences ... Yes, they are - but everything is not so scary and not as uncomfortable as we scare ourselves. The main thing is to just start. Further it will be easier. Is it true.

0. Laziness

No inspiration? We were going to draw an hour ago, but there were some things to do? Don't want to force yourself? An unrealized idea has been in your head for more than a week? Wrong conditions? Is someone interfering? Do not want to draw in front of strangers? Tired today? Not the mood? New beautiful materials will not run away? Will you try tomorrow because it's too late today? "Something is not drawn"? Tried, but the hand does not obey today? Children, husband, cooking, important things? Do you want to sleep, get up early?

Congratulations. If you didn't draw for one of these reasons, your point is zero. You will remain at zero. So long, until you overpower yourself and ... Sleep for half an hour less. Make one soup for two days. Less walk with the child. Clenching your teeth, draw through the force of an hour or two. Don't be afraid to try new materials. Stop being afraid of strangers and be ashamed of your work. Overcome tired.

Believe me, even half an hour torn from all these reasons is already a victory. Yes, progress does not come easy. Yes, I understand that there are difficult situations in life, lack of time, money, strength. Yes. But in most of these situations—almost all of them—there is still some possibility. You can feel sorry for yourself, encourage the little whimpering girl or boy in yourself, but the payoff for this is lost life time. You lose it if you don't do what you want. And this applies to everything, up to health problems or unfinished repairs. You need it? Do it. Decide, heal, draw, make repairs. Now. Yes, it will be uncomfortable. Yes, now is not the right time. There will be no suitable one. Miracles in this case are you yourself, overpowering yourself.

When I sit down to paint, I overpower myself. And only after an hour or two of work, I begin to get real pleasure. Sometimes earlier, sometimes later. But this pleasure is worth all the inconvenience that I go through. And it applies to almost everything I do. I recently wrote a post about how I "hate" cooking. Many did not understand me. It's just that cooking has a little more obstacles for me than my other hobbies. But I love doing it. I love no matter what I say. Because I come back to it over and over again. So I need it; it means that I will go through all the obstacles and achieve my goal. And it will make me happy. Successful cakes, a beautifully made photograph, a finished drawing, order in the house, caring for a person dear to me, a learned violin etude - that's what makes me happy. And you? Think about it. If there are desires in your head that come again and again - they are worth fulfilling, despite the inconvenience. So you need it, so your happiness depends on it. Just try to push yourself. And then you will understand whether it is worth it or not.

1. Completely from scratch

It's very simple - a book by Betty Edwards, "Discover the artist in you."
Then, however, you have to forget what they teach there and start over. But for those who do not know how to draw anything at all, the book will help to take the first steps.

Draw from nature. The bigger, the better. Carry a notebook with you, make clumsy quick sketches - collect visual information, memorize, get used to drawing every day. You will have a serious advantage over those who draw only from a photo. When drawing from life, you analyze information in a completely different way: you have practically no opportunity to copy - you grab the very essence, try to understand the structure - in contrast to mindlessly copying spots in a photograph. If nature is moving, so much the better for you: look for difficulties, try to convey information with a minimum of means.

Study the sketches of other artists: see how they work with a line, with a stain, with a composition; how they manage to convey the whole plot in just a few lines. Print them out as examples and carry them with you (for example, in a notebook pocket). Get inspired and convey what you love through your sketches and sketches. Try to draw in different styles, with different tools, in different formats.

2. Light, shadow, reflexes.. Blah blah blah.

All, the information needed in most cases is located.
Yes, understanding and studying everything will not work the first time. But the information is right in front of you. The rest is a matter of your desire and practice. And do not try to excuse yourself again! Everything is right here.

3. Anatomy.

The method of working with literature is as follows: print spreads with the necessary diagrams / muscles / bones, put it in front of you and draw a living person, looking at the printouts. Feed your friends chocolates, ask your martyr to get up less often from the computer (yeah, let him be kind), draw on playgrounds, in shopping centers - believe me, no one cares about you (you can say that a student - and then they will definitely fall behind, if they came).

You can't learn anatomy until you see for yourself on a living person all the muscles and bones hidden by skin, fat and clothing. Make sure that you yourself, as a teacher, draw these diagrams, having only nature in front of you. Simply redrawing pictures from a tutorial will do little good (and only for beginners).

Here's Ryzhkin's video. First, draw everything that the teacher draws.
No, you won't learn anything if you don't draw it. Not in this or any other case. Always draw and copy.

4. "Oh, I need criticism and comments from the teacher, I can't do it myself .."
(Oh, I won't sleep!
Oh, put on a dress!
Woo-woo-woo!..)

Take. My. work. Open. Mail. Write. Letter. Liked. Artist. Send. (more than one is better).
Someone will definitely answer. You can even speak English - a translator will help you. Correct errors - send again. Ask for advice, etc. Those who are especially brave can even show up at the art school and ask for advice - even from teachers, even from students. Make friends in this way and consult with them. You can do the same - but through VKontakte, in a group of some thin school to chat. If you're embarrassed to show your work, you won't learn anything.

5. How to get started (from sketch to finished illustration)

0. Draw live everything around you. Exaggerate, stylize, do anything - but from nature. So you can avoid many mistakes and speed up your development at times.
1. Sketches "from the head" (any, squeeze out everything you remember, you know, with sketchy little men and crooked drawings - the main thing is that you understand)
2. Viewing refs (better than a photo, not other people's art)
3. Sketches for refs (pass all the information received through yourself, combine it with the developments that you already have - think, think!)
4. Search for ideas
5. Natures, refs, sketches, search for ideas - repeat over and over again until you think through all the work;
6. Details - even small ruffles - are thought out in the same way as the main objects. Every little thing needs to be worked on, it will not come by itself.
7. You can try to collect a collage of future work from refs. But in the end, all this will have to be painted by yourself: no daub on top of the photos will look good, unless you are a professional matte-painter. Lineart and a detailed sketch need to be worked on carefully and for a long time. Negligence is permissible only in the very first stages.
8. Drawn? Increase the resolution, scale, draw in more detail, refine and make neater lines and strokes - it is precisely from accuracy and refinement, coupled with the addition of small things and "imperfection" that the detailing of the picture consists. Zoom in and out until you get bored. =)
9. Remember to look at the big picture. Make everything look harmonious together. Don't be afraid to redraw what doesn't fit. Do not forget about the format that you need in the end. Everything is usually drawn 2-3 times more than the finished version.
10. Don't be afraid. And don't stop. Demoralization and criticism in the early stages is your worst enemy. Work as long as possible. Hold on, be patient, and your diligence will surely be rewarded with a good result and progress. The harder it is, the more progress. simple ways No.

6. Working with living materials

Try everything. Be sure to use a pencil - this is a basic tool for learning: it disciplines and does not allow you to hack. =) The rest is up to you. But I do not advise you to get involved in hoarding thin. materials and the search for "divine quality, with which I will succeed." Good pencils are koh-i-noor. In general, you can even draw with the Constructor - they are still being produced, by the way. Eraser - the same koh-i-noor, with an elephant - a great option. Paper - for sketches and small sketches, cheap printer paper (or even cheap "newspaper", look in stationery stores; it is suitable for a soft pencil) will do. For long-term work, take whatman paper and drawing paper "Gosznak". If you need something with texture - then fabriano or canson.

Try everything, but don't get too carried away with shopping. We bought a watercolor - learn how to draw it for at least half a year, then draw conclusions - is it worth developing further or trying something else. Go, again, to familiar artists - no acquaintances? - get acquainted, go to the workshop, try a little bit of everything and decide what materials you want to master. Be prepared for the fact that everything is about 10 times more difficult than on tutorials and videos. Because you are no-whi-chok. This is fine. Don't give up, keep trying no matter what. And only when it works out - decide whether it suits you or not. There are, of course, exceptions - but in most cases it is worth suffering and trying out the material or technique properly.

7. Work speed

First, at first you will draw very slowly. This cannot be avoided. Then you will draw at the same speed, but more complex things. And only after a lapse of time (a year of regular classes, for example), you will notice that the speed of work has increased significantly. But this is only subject to constant practice.

!important You can draw works of any complexity right now. But if prof. an artist painted something in 5 hours, you will do it in 10, 20 or 50 - depending on your level. But you will do it if you are persistent and diligent enough.

It's also worth realizing that drawing serious illustrations takes longer than you think - even for professional artists. So take it easy. Calm down, I'm telling you. Don't rush - just do it. You can even (when drawing on a computer) put serials in the corner of the screen with a small window. If it doesn't bother you too much, of course. You can pin a window on top of others using the DeskPins program, for example. It's free and easy to use.

Think carefully about what is bothering you. Even about the little things. Disable unnecessary buttons on the tablet. Change hotkeys. Check them out if you don't know. Try other programs. For example, some people find it more convenient to draw in the Paint tool SAI or in Painter, rather than in Photoshop.

action in photoshop. It's simple. Come up with a name for the action, click the record action button, perform the action, release the button. Now, instead of a series of actions, you have one button. You can also press file - batch - and there you can use action for a whole folder of files at once. Try, experiment, optimize your time. Little things like that add up to hours of work and days of delayed deadlines.

8. Photoshop slows down
Settings, perfomance, uncheck OpenGL. You will not be able to rotate the picture, but it will hang less. I also advise you to reduce the History states - say, to 30 - this is the number of possible cntr + z. It also frees up memory. Not enough? Then you will also have to uncheck the use graphics processor in the Performance section. You will not be able to rotate the canvas, but it will slow down significantly.
And if you remove spacing to zero in the brush settings, you should leave at least eight: this also affects performance.

9. Sore arm
An elastic band helps. You can also use a wrist brace (sold in medical stores).

10. Backache

Charge, charge, and charge again. Even if there are any diseases of the spine, it doesn’t matter: careful, with a gradual increase in loads, regular exercises will help you. Especially the exercises recommended by the doctor. Well, watch how you work - put your legs under you / on a stool, put a pillow under your back / buttocks, do as you like - so that your back is straight and nothing is overstrained. And let's relax - lie down, miss each other, stretch. Listen to your feelings and do the exercises that your body wants.

10. Vision

Well, that's all for now. Then I will update this post. I hope I did not waste my time =) Hello everyone.

Many thanks to Samokhin Alexey for valuable knowledge, qualitatively selected and illustrated. Without him, I would have grown to all this much longer.

You don't have to be schizophrenic like Van Gogh or walk with an anteater on a leash like Salvador Dali to become an artist. Enough of a little talent, love of beauty and desire. Therefore, let's tell you, as artists - to an artist: even if you can only draw abstract rockets that resemble something else, you still have a chance to exhibit at least in a wine glass in Zyuzino. The main thing is to study, study and study again.

To write this article, we consulted with professional artists who manage to sell their paintings and earn money with their talent. Yes, they exist. So, if you want to become an artist, you can safely trust what is written.

1. Learn the basics

It all starts with the basics. If you went to art school, then you just need to freshen them up. If acquaintance with the brush begins right here and now, then it would be nice to enroll in fine arts courses (or at least find online lessons), read books, listen to audio courses.

Drawing is not dipping a brush and wiping it on a canvas. You need to be able to mix paints, know what a color scale, shadow, primary and secondary color are, understand proportions. These are not just general rules, they will make your job easier. In addition, you must know exactly what tools are needed to create in one direction or another.

Then, when you decide on the style, you will have to carefully begin to study it. Again, not in order to imitate, but solely for the sake of borrowing some nuances and secrets.

2. Don't focus on learning one area

Many experienced artists have weaknesses. For example, one can perfectly draw still lifes, but his human anatomy is at the level of Soviet puppet films. You can learn a lot by improving your basic knowledge and skills, and become not just a generalist, but a master.

Expand your horizons. Discover other directions, styles, cultures and times of art. Try to put everything into practice. Narrow vision makes the artist a gray mass, which is unable to go beyond the established patterns. Try, in the end, to mix different styles and directions. It will be more interesting on your own.

3. Learn all kinds of fine arts

They say that a real artist should know about all the nuances of fine art. Not only how to paint with paints and oils, but also understand sculpture. Therefore, it will be a plus if you learn to work with a pencil, and crayons, and charcoal, and watercolors, and oils, and in addition, learn to work with clay or at least plasticine. We are not talking about the tree, but we will hint. A real artist should be able to turn absolutely everything into art.

4. Work daily

Work, work and work again. Because a real artist must become a master, not a painter shaking with excitement, who works according to patterns. You need to develop your own style, to fish out your zest from the depths of imitation, unless, of course, you lose hope of becoming famous like Nikas Safronov and memorable like Nikolai Kopeikin. Draw, translate paper, canvases, paints, pencils, don't skimp on developing your talent. Expensive? All you need is a computer and money to pay for electricity.

Devote at least half an hour a day to your favorite hobby. Inspiration - a capricious thing - does not always come, often at the wrong time. In rare cases, an image or plot comes to us almost ready. As a rule, everything comes in crumbs, in separate fragments. And what to do in this case? Keep working, overcome all difficulties and build a creative life piece by piece, day by day.

A familiar artist, in cases where there are no ideas or inspiration, recommends painting the view from the window, the fight of alcoholics in the yard, or, at worst, try to capture the pattern of the five-story building in your own way, which is opposite. It's just that a person lives in the center of St. Petersburg - it's easier for him to find beauty.

5. To become an artist, you need to learn from the greats.

The artist is obliged to study the work of already established masters. That is why students of the Academy of Arts are taken to the Hermitage - so that the guys study. No Hermitage - other museums and fine art albums to help. Carefully peer into the smallest facets of the works of artists of bygone eras who have immortalized their own names in art. Copying for educational purposes is encouraged. In imitative ones, it is already despised.

6. Try to create something new

On the one hand, you need to hone your skills, trying to achieve perfection in writing butterflies. To do this, you need to hone the skill with daily exercises. But one day you will have to choose slightly different priorities in your career. If you want to be an artist that gets recognized, find a way to create something that hasn't been there before and offer it to the world. Some paint nymphs all their lives in an academic style, but remain out of work, despite their talent.

The search for a new one is difficult and requires painstaking work. Perhaps what you create today will be a complete failure, or vice versa - a masterpiece. Either way, you won't know until you try.

7. Don't hide your paintings from the world

An artist who creates, but does not show his masterpieces to the world, can only count on posthumous fame. It is necessary not only to create, but also to bring it to light. A real artist is not just a creator and angel of art, he is also a supplier. Even if you create exclusively for yourself, it will not be superfluous to show off your talent to the world. In the end, the girls who beautifully paint plates have learned to benefit from their talent, so you learn too.

Many people are embarrassed by criticism. Good God, don't let some mediocre bastard ruin your self-esteem. You have invested so much emotion, time, effort into the picture - and all for the sake of hiding the product of your talent in a dark closet? Sorry, but this is stupid. Especially now, in the age of social media. It doesn't have to be a masterpiece or even finished. You can just post a report on your work on a masterpiece called “Blyadki in Gelendzhik” on your blog. It may seem insignificant, but the more often you do it, the easier it will be to deal with criticism and, most importantly, to understand in which direction to move.

8. Enjoy criticism

A few more words about criticism. An artist who lives surrounded by people will always receive comments about his work. If he can't take criticism, then what kind of artist is he? Therefore, any comments - both negative and positive - are necessary for the development and growth of a creative unit. If they criticize - shake it off, and do not take it as an attempt to hurt the ego. And if you are a beginner creator, then listen carefully. Suddenly you learn something.

With all this, you should not give up your style, your ideas. Firstly, you can’t please everyone: someone loves the avant-garde, and someone loves Shishkin’s paintings. Secondly, by listening to everyone, you will lose your individuality.

9. Communicate more with your own kind

You need to keep in touch not only with the outside world, but also with other artists. These, in turn, are comrades who can suggest something, teach something, comment on your work with a fresh professional look. Visit the workshops - this is a great way to see how art lives and develops. After all, a party is always a party, thanks to such communication - even with the “right” people - you will have a better chance of getting into exhibitions or finding a buyer for your painting.

10. Don't get hung up, create for your own pleasure

Your job is to just create, share, and then move on. You can’t stop at one job and think about whether it can be improved. You can’t constantly think and worry about how the audience will react to it. Trying to sit down and create something that the audience will definitely love and appreciate is the surest way to creative stagnation. It is impossible to create for the sake of the public, otherwise it is not art, but commerce.

11. Follow fashion

In no case do not think that we run into painting. For us personally, the pinnacle of talent is almost a photographic image of the surrounding reality. We are so old-fashioned that we love the painstaking, detailed depiction of gouges in the plaster, human facial expressions and the natural riot of nature. We look at two straight lines on a white canvas as an attempt to deceive and pass off a lack of talent as art. In general, we love it when talent is visible on the canvas. Alas, it is not in vogue. It is in fashion to stick a sparkle, draw a rainbow and call the picture pretentiously, for example, "Lament of Moses." Good or bad - the devil knows. But for sure it opens up new opportunities to be realized in art.

12. Learn to see the world like an artist

The artist looks at the world as the subject of a painting. A great talent is to see in ordinary urban landscapes or banal things something worth capturing. Therefore, someone sees in a stunted tree surrounded by houses just a trunk with leaves, and someone sees it as a symbol of hope.

We must look not only through the prism of allegories and metaphors, capturing hidden meanings in our works. Suddenly you become a painter? Then it would be nice to learn to see beauty in simple things. Even an ordinary traffic jam or a banal sunset with due skill become masterpieces.

13. Do not copy reality - depict the world as you see it

To capture the world as it is, you need a camera. Gone are the days when paintings were almost the only document that captures the era and the past.

The artist can stylize, emphasize, idealize, create abstractions and surrealisms. It's a shame not to use it.

But sometimes it’s really more pleasant to look at a footprint than at a dry, boring, lifeless picture painted under Monet. This foot has more expression and life, it really fascinates. You can work in this direction, known as photorealism, but what is creativity in this? People are more interested in finding the trace of the artist than looking at the next picture in the style of "the way everyone does it."

Cabbage juice is the most useful life-giving drink that can give our body a lot of necessary and useful substances. About what useful properties of cabbage juice exist, and how to drink it correctly, we will talk in our article. Previously, people could not imagine that a person's breakfast could consist of various crispy balls with dried fruits, cereals and milk. But nowadays such food does not surprise anyone, because such a breakfast is very tasty, and besides, it is easy to prepare. However, such food opens up a lot of controversy and discussion, since it is important for people to know what are the benefits and harms of breakfast cereals for human health. The very concept of dry food appeared in 1863, and James Jackson introduced it. The first food was compressed bran. Even though it was not very tasty, it was a healthy meal. The Kellogg brothers supported the idea of dry food already at the beginning of the twentieth century. At this time, both Americans and Europeans were embraced by the idea of proper and healthy nutrition. At that time, the brothers produced breakfast cereals made from soaked corn kernels passed through rollers. These breakfasts were more like raw, torn to pieces dough. They were helped by an accident in which this body was placed on a hot baking sheet and forgotten about it. Thus, the first dry breakfasts were obtained. This idea was taken up by many companies, and the cereal was mixed with nuts. Fruits and other products.

What are the benefits of breakfast cereals?

In the last twenty years, ordinary breakfasts, which consisted of sandwiches and cereals, began to be replaced by dry ones. The main advantage of dry food is, first of all, time saving, which is very important in our time. A full and proper breakfast in our time, few can afford. That is why the main benefit of breakfast cereals is their simple and quick preparation. These breakfasts are easy to prepare. All you have to do is pour the cereal with milk. In addition, milk can be replaced with yogurt or kefir.

During the production of dry breakfasts, all the useful substances of cereals are preserved. For example, corn flakes are saturated with vitamins A and E, while rice flakes contain amino acids that are important for our body. Oatmeal contains phosphorus and magnesium. But, unfortunately, not all breakfasts are good for the human body, some of them can be harmful.

Dry breakfasts include snacks, muesli, and cereals. Snacks are balls and pillows of various sizes made from rice, corn, barley, oats and rye. These cereals are steamed under high pressure in order to preserve the maximum amount of useful trace elements and vitamins. However, with additional heat treatment, such as roasting, the product loses its benefits. When nuts, honey, fruits, chocolate are added to flakes, muesli is obtained. For the production of snacks, ground flakes, as well as various additions to them, are overcooked. More often, snacks are loved by children, so they are produced in the form of different figures. Some manufacturers add various fillings to snacks, including chocolate. However, after adding sugar and various additives to breakfasts, it will no longer be very useful. In this regard, in order to maintain health and figure, it is better to choose raw cereals or muesli with fruits and honey.

Why dry breakfasts are harmful

Snacks are the most harmful product, since more useful substances are destroyed during their preparation. One serving of such breakfasts contains only about two grams of fiber, while our body needs up to 30 grams of dietary fiber per day. It is more useful to eat raw flakes that have not undergone heat treatment. This product will fill the body with the necessary amount of fiber. Snacks are harmful due to frying, as they become high in calories and fatty.

It is necessary to take into account the high calorie content of dry breakfasts. For example, the calorie content of pillows with filling is about 400 calories, and chocolate balls - 380 calories. Cakes and sweets have a similar calorie content, and this is not healthy. Various additives that are part of dry breakfasts cause more harm. That is why buy raw cereal for children, without various additives. Add honey, nuts, or dried fruits to your breakfast cereal yourself and avoid foods that include sugar substitutes.

Wheat, rice and corn flakes are very easy to digest because they contain simple carbohydrates. This fills the body with energy and provides nutrition to the brain, but excessive consumption of these carbohydrates leads to excess weight.

Dry breakfasts that have undergone heat treatment are very harmful. During the cooking process, the fat or oil used in the cooking process can lead to cardiovascular problems and high cholesterol levels. The composition of breakfasts often includes flavor enhancers, baking powder and flavorings. Avoid purchasing products with such additives.

A child can be given cereal from the age of six, not earlier, since coarse fibers are difficult to digest by the children's intestines.

Pain can be of a different nature, but in order to get rid of it, people resort to the use of painkillers. However, at the same time, few people think that using an anesthetic, we can harm our health, since each drug has side effects that can manifest themselves in a separate organism. However, not everyone knows that some products are able to reduce or relieve pain, while quite effectively and without exposing the body to additional risk. Of course, with the appearance of any pain, it is necessary to determine what it is associated with. Pain is a kind of signal from the body, indicating that it has problems. Therefore, in no case can one ignore pain, and sometimes it is impossible to do this, because it reminds of itself, sometimes at the most inopportune moment. In our article, we will talk about what products can relieve pain, or reduce its manifestation at least for a while.

People who have chronic diseases that periodically manifest themselves as pain can make up some kind of anti-pain diet to alleviate their condition. So, here are the products that can soothe the pain:

Turmeric and ginger. Ginger is a proven remedy for many diseases that can effectively deal with pain. For example, in oriental medicine, this plant is used to reduce toothache. To this end, you need to prepare a decoction of ginger and rinse the mouth with it. Pain resulting from exercise and due to intestinal disorders and ulcers can be soothed with ginger and turmeric. In addition, these plants have a positive effect on kidney health.

Parsley. This green contains essential oils that can stimulate blood circulation in the human body, including the blood supply to internal organs. The use of parsley in the body increases the adaptive capacity, which accelerates healing.

Chilli. This is another pain reliever. In the course of the studies, it was found that red pepper is able to increase the pain threshold of a person. The molecules of this product activate the immune defense in the body and produce endorphins that work as an anesthetic. Traditionally, this pepper is included in the menu of peoples living in difficult natural conditions and engaged in hard physical labor.

bitter chocolate. As mentioned above, the hormone endorphin, which is also called the "hormone of happiness", is a natural pain reliever. Most imagine the world of artists as deep, full of exciting events and emotions and, despite all the internal disputes of the artist with himself, relatively serene and simple. But few people understand that behind the bewitching pictures and the general illusion of an easy life are hours of hard and painstaking work. Even the greatest masters of art could not boast of the ability to quickly and easily create a masterpiece. And none of them began to create magnificent paintings, just taking a brush or pencil in hand.

It is widely believed that everyone can learn to draw. And it is true. But only a person who knows how to draw, but has no talent, is unlikely to become an outstanding artist. Therefore, we can say that the first and main quality that you must possess is talent.

And if you think that you are the owner of such a gift, and that you have creative potential, then let's get to the point.

1. Find courses

Many people now, having read this paragraph, will huff arrogantly, thinking, they say, today there are already a lot of materials that I myself can learn from. But we advise you to reduce your arrogance a little and heed this advice.

Nobody argues that today the Internet gives us the opportunity to learn literally everything. But for a novice artist, it is very important that a professional look at his work. Because reinventing the wheel and realizing in the course of work what mistakes you made, you will spend a lot of time improving your abilities. And, perhaps, you will not find these errors at all, and you will think why your work is not successful. A professional will immediately detect a perfect mistake and point you to it. And he will also tell you how to fix it and give a lot of useful tips.

And this is the minimum that classes with a professional will give you. Therefore, do not neglect the opportunity to master the art as quickly as possible.

2. Study literature

Yes, artists also need to learn theory. You will have to read a certain number of books in order to have an understanding of color, shape, harmony and much more. Here are a few books worth checking out:

1. Outline and study drawing

This book, which reveals the basics of training in classical art academies, will be very useful for budding artists. Sketches are more important for developing skills and improving technique than full-fledged paintings. The author outlined his experience in sketching in his book, and this experience will undoubtedly be useful for those who seriously want to master the art of art.

2. The science of color and painting

This book will talk about color from a scientific point of view. With its help, you will learn and understand what is that, halftone, contrast and much more; what is the strength and peculiarity of color and what is color in general.

3. Golden section in painting

Harmony and proportion are very important in painting. Therefore, this book is a must-read. The use of the golden ratio is one of the reasons why a painting can become a masterpiece.

4. Pencil. The art of technology

In this book, Paul Calle tells all about his favorite tool - the pencil. If many people use a pencil to create sketches, then the American graphic artist chose it as a serious and basic artistic medium. Possession of a pencil is the main indicator by which it is determined whether "there will be any sense" from the artist.

5. Keys to the art of drawing

This book teaches you to trust your eyes. Drawing is about seeing the world with your own eyes, not trying to blindly apply the rules in practice. The book includes examples and sketches, sketches and complex drawings, various drawing techniques and practical advice.

3. Learn to see the world through the eyes of an artist

Notice how shapes and colors change depending on the lighting, how the surrounding colors affect you. Focus your attention on how people's bodies interact with nature, what structure what objects have. As they say, learn to stop and smell the roses.

4. Draw every day

You do not allow yourself, for example, not to breathe all day because you are too lazy? Although this is an unrealistic example, you should treat drawing as a vital process for you. Do you know musicians, for example, who can go even a day without music?

Throw away your laziness and draw daily, improving your skills and pouring out your emotions on paper. Practice is the foundation of everything.

5. Ask others

We tend to go to extremes: either idealize our work, or underestimate its quality too much. Therefore, an outside perspective is extremely important. Feel free to show your work to friends and family and listen to their feedback. Of course, you should understand that you should not take criticism too close to your heart, and you need to be able to distinguish constructive criticism from simple envy of good work. Also take into account that people close to you can lie so as not to upset you.

The best way out of the situation is to show your work to a professional so that he can objectively assess your level and point out mistakes.

6. Don't be discouraged if you can't find your style.

If you look at the work of great artists, you will find that the style of their work has changed over time. Therefore, of course, you don’t have to give a damn about developing your own style and copying, but you shouldn’t worry too much about the fact that you suddenly want to draw in a different style. The style of drawing changes with the course of life, it depends on changes in your character and much more.

7. Study the work of the masters

Studying pictures drawn by the masters of art will help you develop your own abilities and expand your horizons. It is also a good practice to try to copy a picture of a master. Add details that you feel are missing. In general, try out techniques that great artists have used. It is possible that you will find your style in this way.

8. Connect with artists

Communication with artists will again help you develop your abilities, your friends will be able to appreciate your work, and in the future these acquaintances will help you promote and sell your work. Today, in the age of the Internet, it is not so difficult to find art communities and join their circle.

9. Put meaning into your paintings

Do not draw just a tree or just a house. Such stories are suitable for sketches. Your work should carry meaning, a message, so invest in your paintings something more than just a beautiful image. If you are going to draw this or that plot, ask yourself “Why?”, Give a reasoned answer, and only then draw.

It doesn't just work out that way. Great artists didn't just draw ten human figures and become professionals. They drew thousands of figures, studying anatomy, body behavior and more. Therefore, there is no need to despair if after a year of practice you (horror!) have not become a famous master. Remember that everything takes time.

We would also like to give a couple of tips for promoting our work:

1. Create a portfolio

Do not shove all your drawings into your portfolio. Select the best ones, those that best show your abilities, even if there will be few such works. And carry this portfolio everywhere. Who knows where you can stumble upon the person you need.

2. Create accounts on the relevant resources

Promote yourself on LinkedIn, Tumblr and more. Let people know about you. Moreover, you may be discovered by some investors or potential buyers. Therefore, do not neglect the promotion of yourself on the Internet.

3. Look for places where you can show your work

Participate in competitions, find galleries where you could exhibit your paintings, take part in street exhibitions. Use every opportunity to show yourself. Even bars and restaurants will do. Communicate with the owners of various establishments and offer your paintings to decorate their premises.

4. Try to make acquaintance with the master

Getting to know an influential person in the artistic field can give you a lot of benefits. Sometimes just the name of the master, uttered in a conversation with a potential investor, can greatly influence the decision. And the master himself can help you in your progress.
