Now we will consider the topic: how to draw an anime face. To begin with, I will give you the easiest way.
Step 1. You can start drawing the anime head with a simple circle. The round shape is ideal for drawing an anime head.

The situation is a little more complicated when the anime character's head is turned in profile. A few dashes cannot be dispensed with here, since the profile must clearly indicate the forms. It’s worth remembering right away that most characters in the style of anime and manga, especially anime guys, all have angular shapes, which gives them the characteristic features of this Japanese style.
The nose in profile looks mostly concave in the middle and sharp at the tip.
The upper lip hangs slightly over the lower. Both lips have rather sharp bevels and angles.
Now that we know how to draw the eyes, hair, nose and mouth, let's try to draw the face of our anime character. Let's take a girl's face as an example. The main attention should be paid to the shape of the head. As stated, anime shapes are always slightly convex or concave and have angular shapes. Girls should have a sharp chin and sharp transitions to the cheekbones, which are very pronounced. It is essentially a pentagon with a sharp end at the bottom and a roundness at the top, where the hair is subsequently added. The eyes of the girl should be large and occupy almost a third of the face. The nose, which in girls is depicted with only one hint, is drawn with a dash or dots approximately at the level of the cheekbones, under it is the line of the mouth. In principle, it's all easy, you just need to practice a little.
How to Draw Anime Girl Face:
First, draw a circle. It will help us form the next stages of drawing. It's worth saying that anime faces rarely have the correct proportions to be calculated using markup, like a normal person, so basically everything here is done by eye. However, in order to do something by eye, you need to know the correct construction and therefore here we will be guided by various standards.
At the next stage, we will divide the circle with two axial lines - horizontal and vertical. This will help us build anime girl face right, without any bevels and distortions.
The third step is the chin. Anime chins are generally very cartoonish. In this example, we can see that the chin is unrealistically sharp.

As we saw above, the nose and mouth can only be drawn with a couple of strokes, although I will further complicate the mouth a bit for the sake of aesthetics. The mouth is usually drawn either at the level of the lower part of the circle, or slightly lower. The nose is slightly higher.

It is also worth immediately warning that during the final drawing you do not forget to erase the center lines, since after the final work it will be very difficult to do and it will not do without blots.
We draw the hair and erase the excess. The curls in this picture lay down in such a way that I had to almost completely remove the ears and wipe the eyebrow.
At the last stage, we will finish our girl a little. Here I added a hair shadow on the back of the head, neck, shoulders, part of the frills of the dress. I also added some shadows on the face itself so that it does not look flat.
How to draw anime guy face step by step:
First, draw a circle. Divide the circle vertically and horizontally. The eyes will be located at the level of the horizontal line.
After that, mark the top and bottom of the head. In this case, it is necessary to make sure that the upper level is twice as far from the edge of the circle as the lower one.

An important detail: about five "eyes" should fit from ear to ear, and the distance between the eyes should be equal to their length.
Draw light lines to indicate the eyelids. Their position on the face as a whole is not as important as the position of other parts of the body. So feel free to experiment with position and shape.
And here is the final touch - we mark the line of connection of the lips. It runs in the middle between the line of the nose and the line of the mouth.
Draw anime eyes
Eyes in anime are perhaps the most famous and distinctive feature. There are a lot of options for drawing eyes, but we will consider the principle of drawing four main types.
Basic rules for drawing eyes in anime style:
Manga eyes have a defined top and bottom with marked contours or angles.
- The eyebrow as a whole repeats the shape of the upper eyelid.
- The distance of the eyebrow from the upper eyelid is proportional to the height of the eye.
- The upper eyelid casts a shadow on the eye.
- The girls' eyes are more shiny, with eyelashes.

There is complete freedom. The main thing to remember is that in the manga, the nose is indicated by a simple line and always ends at the corresponding guide. Add shadows or make simple lines. Draw hair
So, our character is almost ready. It remains only to add his hair. Outline the hairline. While you are just taking the first steps in drawing manga, keep your hairstyle as simple as possible. As you gain experience, you can experiment with different shapes.

The line is outlined, we begin to draw the hair. Pay attention to the direction of combing the hair. Even clearly visible strands are combed in the same direction as the rest.
