In 2006, at the age of 23, Andrei received the prestigious Night Life Awards, becoming its youngest winner in history. All-Russian fame was brought to him by the composition Moscow never sleeps, which was recorded in collaboration with Timati. The song and the video shot for it were included in the rotation of the largest radio stations and music TV channels in Russia.

In 2008, DJ Smash released the album “IDDQD”, which achieved platinum status. The album also includes already well-known tracks: “Best Songs”, “I Am a Wave” and “Airplane”.

In 2009, Andrei became the winner of the Golden Gramophone award and the annual nominee for Song of the Year after the musician was publicly introduced by Russian pop legend Alla Pugacheva.

The young performer did not stop there and in 2010 set off to conquer the world club capital - London. So, for several years he was a resident of the Movida club, which was listed in first place in all club ratings. In addition, DJ Smash played at the brightest parties in Paris, Courchevel, London, Monte Carlo and St. Tropez.

2012 was full of events for the DJ: he opened the karaoke bar Boom Boom Room in the center of Moscow, created his own music group SMASH LIVE, recorded several tracks with Russian performers, tried himself as a film actor for the first time, and also signed a contract with the famous music label Velvet Music.

The musician remains at the peak of his popularity to this day, being one of the most sought-after and highly paid Russian DJs.

Personal life

DJ Smash built a house on Rublyovka, which he is undoubtedly proud of.

At the moment, the artist’s heart is free. The DJ met with model Anastasia Krivosheeva, but things never came to marriage. The couple separated by mutual consent.

As the artist himself says, he is ready for family life, and his lifestyle will in no way interfere with it.

Massacre in Perm

On February 10, DJ Smash, famous throughout Russia, came to his hometown with a performance. At the club, the artist took pictures with everyone, among whom was former Perm deputy Alexander Telepnev with his friend and club promoter Sergei Vankevich. However, the selfie turned out to be unsuccessful, and later Vankevich approached the artist and demanded to take the photo again, to which he received a negative response. Ex-deputy Telepnev, who was standing nearby (he is also a master of sports in hand-to-hand combat), started a fight, as a result of which Andrei Shirman received an open fracture of the jaw with displacement, a fracture of the facial bone of the right cheek, a closed craniocerebral injury and many other injuries.

Telepnev himself does not admit guilt and is perplexed how his name could come up the next day. To the question: “What do you think about the way journalists are currently covering this situation?” Telepnev replied that “he has already hired lawyers. All false media must be screenshotted and certified by a notary.”

The police in Perm opened a criminal case for causing moderate harm to musician Andrei Shirman.

The Perm branch of United Russia reported that they had taken control of the situation with the fight and clarified that they would suspend Telepnev’s membership in the party if a criminal case was opened against him.

The story received a wide response: DJ Smash’s colleagues supported the artist on social networks, and Timati turned to the governor of the Perm Territory to sort out the situation.
