Don Pettit demonstrates microgravity with an Angry Birds character
In February 2012, Rovio announced the release of Angry Birds Space, a new game in the Angry Birds series of special games. The theme of the game is related to space; in particular, there are planets in the structures, the gravitational attraction of each in its own way affects the trajectory of birds after launch. Prior to the launch of the game, Rovio sent various video announcements of the new version of Angry Birds Space.
On March 8, 2012, Angry Birds Space was introduced by a NASA astronaut Don Pettit on board international space station. On March 22, the game was released on Android, iOS, Mac OS X, PC. On April 24, the game appeared on BlackBerry Playbook tablets. In less than three days, she managed to score ten million downloads. When exactly 1 week passed after the launch of Angry Birds Space, it turned out that the game had been downloaded more than 20 million times.
All birds in the game have changed in appearance and abilities, a new Ice Bird has appeared, but there are no White and Green birds. Also, the Mighty Space Eagle is present in the game, the difference from the usual Mighty Eagle in appearance is that the Mighty Space Eagle is bought more than once, and how in the game Angry Birds Facebook, for example, 280 Space Eagles cost 8 dollars and that the action of the Space Eagle is a Bomb Explosion, only more enhanced.
The game has 7 episodes: "Pig Bang", "Cold Cuts", "Fry Me To The Moon", "Utopia", "Red Planet", "Danger Zone", "Eggsteroids". Golden Eggs in the game are presented in the episode "Eggsteroids", they are made in the style of retro games of the 80s. And for passing a certain location for three stars in each level, a bonus level opens with the participation of white eggs with an antenna. There are bosses in story episodes (Danger Zone is not a story episode, but only an addition). An update was recently released that includes 20 levels of Red Planet.
