How to make a photo collage using Picasa?
The first time you open the program, you will be prompted to scan photos on your computer

- Frame mosaic. This function makes a real mosaic out of your creation, and the center of the image will be embossed.
- Net. Arranges the selected patterns in a grid with equal square links. If desired, you can change the step of this grid, while increasing or decreasing the images.
- Index print. Makes a panorama, which consists of small pictures.
- Multiple exposure. This function arranges one image on top of another, and all this merges into one picture. If you take two or three photos, then with the help of this function you can make an interesting and unusual collage of photos, but do not use a lot of images, otherwise everything will merge into a featureless background.
If you decide to make a photo collage with your own hands, then it is better to choose the first option - it allows you to independently configure your future work. In the open window, you can use the cursor to drag photos, tilt at any angle, zoom in and out.
You can also move images to the front or back to create the intended composition. After placing each picture in the place you like, you can choose any image instead of the background. To do this, click on the selected photo, then right-click on the menu, in which we select the item "set as background".
Also in this menu we can remove images from the collage, adjust the frame, rotate and move up and down.
After the preliminary settings are completed, click the "create collage" button.
Our creation is ready and saved. If you want to apply filters and effects, then do not rush to close the program. After creating a collage, a window will appear on the left in which you can choose:
- Framing. Here you can set the size of the resulting image you need.
- Alignment. With this function, it is possible to align the collage at the desired angle.
- Red eyes. The function allows you to reliably get rid of the red-eye effect in your photos.
- Automatic correction of illumination, contrast and color shades.
- Retouching. The function allows you to remove some defects, scratches and unnecessary lines.
- Text. Any text sentence that you would like to see on your collage is added here.
In addition to the above, you can make a collage of photos in black and white, add a sepia effect, change the hue, saturation, grain, sharpness and much more. Also in this program there are a large number of filters that will help to simulate a pencil drawing, neon glow, comics, polaroid, pasteurization and many more different effects. In the main window, select the photos you like and click on the "create movie presentation" icon. In the window that opens, you will see a screen on which the selected images will be displayed. At the bottom of the screen, under the start button, there are our images, with the help of the cursor they can be swapped. On the left are settings that will help you add or remove the desired photo. Here you can insert any text, choose its color, size, style, as well as the background color.
As you can see, making a video from photos is not difficult at all, thanks to Picasa. But that's not all. In these settings, you can choose the size of the video, the duration of one slide, add an audio track (from your favorite songs) to view beautiful photos with the sounds of your favorite music groups. At the same time, it is possible to adjust the display of your photos according to the sound or trim the audio file. And for a beautiful transition, you can choose one of the presented styles.
