In the Bolero show, rhythmic gymnastics will not appear as a sport of the highest achievements, but will “cross the fine choreographic line between femininity and sexuality,” the organizers said. In the center of the performance is the story of the universe of a woman, a "Goddess", whose strength is incomparable with others. The idea of the dance performance by Laysan Utyasheva is similar to the classic version of Bolero, but the action has been moved to modern locations. The plot unfolds in a closed nightclub, where its own world and its own rules. It is here that the heroine hides from her loneliness and can feel strong, desirable and beautiful.
The performance intertwined the author's elements of the dance styles of Vogue New Way, High Heels, modern and elements of gymnastics. The ideological inspirer of the musical part of the show was the husband of Laysan Utyasheva, stand-up comedian Pavel Volya. He helped choose the genre, and musician Rein Otter translated the ideas into sheet music. According to Laysan, this production is "only for adult minds and requires complete immersion."

At the very beginning of rehearsals, I began to be tormented by doubts whether I could withstand such a pace, whether I could combine filming, family and work on the show. This is probably normal for a person who has not been in the profession for 10 years. Besides, I'm a gymnast, and gymnastics and dancing are not the same thing. I was dizzy from the abundance of new information: the score when staging a dance is completely different than in sports, it was necessary to adapt. There were other nuances. Fortunately, like-minded people helped me. Practically from scratch, but with sports perseverance, I rushed to master new plastic and dance styles, - Laysan Utyasheva told about the work.
The troupe involves nine people whom the gymnast has been looking for for 10 years in order to realize her plan. The production involves choreographers Ekaterina Reshetnikova, Igor Rudnik and the stars of the show "Dancing on TNT": Vanya Mozhaykin, Anton Panufnik, Ulyana Pylaeva, Max Nesterovich, Oleg Klevakin, Snezhana Kryukova, Nikita Ansimov.
Specially for each hero, a unique, daring modern image was developed. The creators of the performance decided to avoid stereotypical concert costumes: at some point, the viewer feels like at a fashion show or in a closed nightclub, where fashionistas and stylish experimenters always gather. Original light graphics turn what is happening on stage into an unforgettable performance.
Bolero premiered on October 1, 2017 in Kazan. Then the production was shown in Minsk, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, and Cyprus. Voronezh became the sixth city in the dancers' tour schedule.
