"Love at first sight": the history of the highest rated romantic show on Russian television. TV presenter Alla Volkova: biography, personal life

24.06.2019

« Love at first sight” is a television game show dedicated to the relationship between a man and a woman. The goal of the game is a happily completed search for the second half and a romantic journey that will lead the just-acquainted couple to the wedding.

"Love at First Sight" became the first licensed game purchased by Russian television in the West. The rights to it belong to the English studio Action Time.

Show Rules Love at first sight are initially very simple. Three young men and three girls took part in the game. At the first stage, the participants of the game had to answer the cunning questions of the presenters. At the same time, the players were hidden from each other and made up an idea only on the basis of the answers they heard. Then the girls and boys, by pressing buttons, chose a pair for themselves, and the computer determined which pairs matched. Those who had love at first sight went to a restaurant, and the next day the second stage of the game began. Each member of the pair had to answer questions about the expected behavior of the partner in a given situation. Each correct answer earned one shot. After the end of this stage, the couple agreed on who would shoot the painted hearts. A prize was hidden under each heart, if the shooter hit the heart, the prize went to a couple.

The permanent hosts of the show " Love at first sight" were Alla Volkova and Boris Kryuk.

The super prize was a romantic trip for two. There was also a "broken heart", which meant the end of the game.

In later releases, the rules of the game have changed slightly. Now, among the matched pairs, viewers chose one, which immediately went to the second stage - answering questions about each other and playing for prizes. Criteria for the audience's choice was the scream - the winner was the pair for which they shouted longer and louder.

It is not known for certain whether there were so-called “decoy couples” at that time, when specially invited actors participated in the show “Love at First Sight”, but the program did not hear a single announcement in insincerity.

The program first aired on the ORT channel on January 12, 1992, and in 1996 the last episode of the show took place. From 1997 to 1998, the program was broadcast on the RTR channel.

On March 1, 2011, the show was resumed " Love at first sight”, now it can be seen on the MTV channel. Modern topics (and participants) are more relaxed in questions and answers than their predecessors, and therefore the show "Love at First Sight" is gradually moving into the category of "adult programs".

Hosts of the renewed show Love at first sight"- Tair Mammadov and Evelina Bledans.

In 2000, the ORT company launched a program, the prototype of which was Love at First Sight - The Seventh Sense. Igor Vernik became the host, but the program did not live up to the expectations of its authors and was closed.

The first hosts of the show Love at first sight», Alla Volkova and Boris Kryuk, after several months of work on the program, they got married.

The end of the famous era of "three channels" on Russian television was marked by the appearance of programs of a new format, already popular in the West. Deprived of an ideological and informational orientation, they immediately gained popularity among the audience. "Field of Miracles" already had its audience, in January 1992 another game TV show appeared on the ORT channel, but already "about love" - the program "Love at First Sight".

It was a licensed game bought by Russian television from the English studio Action Time. According to the rules, 3 girls and 3 young men who were not married and dreamed of meeting their "soul mate" took part in it. As part of the air time, young people who had not previously met answered various questions from the presenters at the first stage. Based on the answers, the first impression of each other was formed, the participants chose the ones they liked the most. As a result, the computer chose matching pairs. They went to a restaurant to get to know each other better.
The next day, the winners of the first stage answered questions about the partner's behavior in various situations. They scored points based on the number of correct answers. One point was equal to one shot from a gun in sectors with painted hearts. Behind each of them was either a prize (books, TV, film cameras, etc.), a romantic trip, a broken heart - it meant the end of the game.
When the first release of the program was being prepared for broadcast, its creators faced a number of specific difficulties. There was no experience of holding a show of this format, it was not known how the presenters should have behaved, there was not even a computer at the studio - the equipment of the 60-70s was used. It was decided that the entire film crew, along with the participants and presenters, would go to London to record the program. Later, the British colleagues supplied the necessary equipment.
The calling card of the new TV show was its hosts - Boris Kryuk and Alla Volkova. She was represented as such - the "incomparable" Alla. A light and feminine type was always skillfully maintained - the presenter smiled radiantly all the time, very often giggled out of place, but very often changed outfits and hairstyles, and in the first issues she generally spoke very little. Boris is an intellectual with a subtle sense of humor. But what especially bought in his manner of presenting the program was the lack of sarcasm and irony in jokes. Kryuk and Volkova skillfully supported the rumors about an office romance between them. Millions of people were looking forward to: when will they finally get married?
The program, especially in the early years of its existence, had a lot of fans, especially among the female audience of absolutely all ages. Schoolgirls with their mothers and grandmothers dropped everything and sat down in front of the blue screen. They commented on questions and discussed successful answers to them, in the first minutes they suggested a possible ideal couple, determined favorites, rooted for them with all their hearts and sincerely wished to win a romantic trip.
By the behavior of the participants, it was clear that they came here for various reasons. Someone wanted to win prizes, someone wanted to test and show themselves, someone with an interesting partner to go on an interesting trip. But to find love? This probably happened too. They said that the program even kept statistics on the number of marriages.
In 1998, during the default, like many other projects, Love at First Sight was closed. Later, they tried to revive it, but it was no longer the same: in the genre rather for “adults” and with other presenters, they spoke very frankly about everything in it.

Ah, what were the times! The program "Morning Star", "Love at First Sight", "Morning Mail", "Me and My Dog" ... The whole country could not be pulled out of the house when these programs were shown on TV. And then most of them closed. Just. Without explaning the reason. Woman's Day decided to find out where the country's most beloved TV programs have gone. The very ones whose success most modern TV shows have not been able to repeat so far.

"Morning Star"

Start

In 1991, on the First Channel of the then Soviet television, a new musical program "Morning Star" was aired, which immediately won the hearts of all viewers.

The famous TV presenter, actor and showman Yuri Nikolaev became the author and host of the program. It is worth noting that Yuri could not then find a sponsor to select a team, children, operators, rent premises ... The author of the program had to invest his own money in the program, borrowed from a bank.

Contest Rules

The program was held on a competitive basis, in which the participants showed their skills in the vocal or dance genre, depending on age (age groups from 3 to 15 and from 15 to 22 years). The jury, consisting of four people, gave an assessment to each of the participants. The one with the most points advanced to the next round. In addition, the program included a competition for presenters and a competition for young performers of classical music, held jointly with the New Names Foundation.

I must say, "Morning Star" paved the way to fame for many now famous pop performers, such as Ani Lorak, Yulia Nachalova, Sergey Lazarev, and many others. The program, which lasted 12 years, was repeatedly awarded the highest awards, including international ones.

Latest release

In 2002, she migrated from Channel One to TVC, where she existed until 2003. On November 16, 2003, the last release of the program took place.

The creator of the program that will be remembered forever by everyone happily recalls the past years and is sad that his offspring was closed.

In his opinion, today there are few programs for teenagers on domestic television, and he would very much like to revive the Morning Star, but, unfortunately, this does not depend on him.

“When I conceived the program, I thought that if it lasts for several years, it will be great,” recalls Yuri Alexandrovich. - As a result, the transfer lasted 13 years. For the program, I think this is a very good indicator. Nevertheless, television goes further, new formats have appeared, new views from Channel One. The "Star Factory" appeared, which was considered similar to the "Morning Star", and my program was closed. It’s not that I’m offended, it’s just my brainchild, and, probably, I should have gone further, developed more. Although I was always introducing some new ideas, nominations, decorations. But, probably, it was necessary to change the form itself in accordance with the times. Of course, I dream of resuming Morning Star, but I think that it would hardly have sounded on Channel One. Now there is a children's "Voice", a very good program. Perhaps she would have gone on another channel. You see, now all channels have transformed my idea in one form or another, and now every channel has children's programs. Of course, what I came up with is an author's program. Now, alas, there are practically no copyright programs, and I don’t remember that since the 90th year someone has promoted their own brand. I did it and I'm happy that I did it."

"Love at first sight"

Start

Love at First Sight is a television romantic game show. It aired from January 12, 1991 to August 31, 1999 on the RTR TV channel. The very first episode of the program was filmed in London, in the studio where the English version of "Love at first sight" was filmed. The hosts of the program were Alla Volkova and Boris Kryuk. And the voice of Hook now sounds in the program “What? Where? When?".

In 2011, an attempt was made to revive the show with slightly modified rules on the MTV channel, but the attempt was unsuccessful. The transfer in this form lasted less than six months.

There are still analogues of the TV game, but “Love at First Sight” has remained for our viewers one of the brightest and most unusual programs of the Soviet period. First of all, the audience loved her for her mystery and romance. There was no vulgarity in it, which is now in abundance on the modern television screen.

Rules of the game

The action took place in two stages. On the first day, three girls and three guys met for the first time in the studio, where they answered the insidious questions of the presenters. At the end of the game, by simultaneously pressing the buttons, it was determined who sympathized with whom. If the participants' opinions matched those of the computer, the happy couple went to a restaurant to get to know each other better and prepare for the next stage.

On the next day, the participants were asked to answer the questions of the presenters, how the partner (sha) would behave in a given situation. The correct answer gave the right to one shot, which were realized at the end of the game. Shooting was carried out in sectors, behind which were various prizes, including the main one - "Romantic Journey". When they hit the "Broken Heart", the game stopped and the couple lost everything "that was acquired by overwork."

Subsequently, the rules changed somewhat - the pair for the second stage began to be determined by the vote of the audience in the studio, and the number of heart sectors decreased (but the Broken Heart sector disappeared). The main idea of the program - the creation of a happy married couple, for whom a romantic trip would be a wedding gift, remained.

End of love

In this form, "Love" lasted until the end of August 1999. After the closing of this show, Alla got married for the third time and disappeared from the screens. However, she did not stop her creative activity, becoming the editor of the Igra-TV production center.

But Boris Kryuk remained in front of the public, hosting the program “What? Where? When?".

“You know, the story of why the program was closed is overgrown with legends. In fact, the last few years of its existence, the broadcasts went out less and less. The last shooting was in 1998 right before Black Tuesday, - shared Boris Kryuk. “So the economic situation has had an impact. I must say that it was quite an expensive show because of the scenery, computers, etc. Alla and I grew up a little during the journey and wanted to move on. As a result, "Love at First Sight" went on for some more time, but still closed. Everything was by mutual agreement, no one had any complaints about this. After that, a lot of analogues appeared on the screens, which could not repeat our success.

Now I have found myself so much in the program “What? Where? When?" because I'm not on the screen. I don't like it when people come up to me and want something from me. By my nature, I am not an actor, I do not need to be loved, looked at, etc. I prefer to stay in the background."

"50x50"

About the transfer

"50x50" is an information and entertainment music program for young people that appeared on television in 1989. The symbol of the program was a branded screensaver in the form of a zebra. The people of the TV show got the nickname "Fifty-Fifty". The name reflected the concept of the program: half music and half information, half of the invitees are already well-known pop stars and half are beginners.

The informational part told about the news in the world of show business, musical events.

Among other things, the program showed new video clips, interviewed stars, organized contests and quizzes from Russian pop stars and sponsors.

First broadcast

The program first aired on CT's First Program in 1989. From 1989 to 1991, Sergey Minaev was the host. In 1990, Alexey Veselkin became his co-host, they spent several issues together.

Sergey Minaev again became the host, some episodes were hosted by Kirill Kalyan instead. In the new version, the presenter passed the commentary on to teenagers, each of whom dreamed of becoming a star.

Where, just like in previous releases, various clips of popular stars were shown. On April 24, 1999, the last issue was released on RTR. Finally, the last issue appeared in 2000 on the TV-6 channel, after which the program was no longer aired.

The TV show "50x50" at that time was the most spectacular and large-scale musical project. The presenters were allowed to improvise live. The program filmed its own video clips. The news component of the program consisted of interesting events of the Soviet and later Russian show business.

"Two pianos"

About the transfer

The musical television game "Two Pianos" was broadcast on the RTR channel from 1998 to 2003.

In 2004, she migrated to the TVC channel, where she stayed until May 2005. It is worth noting that the program was awarded the national award "Ovation-1998" in the nomination "Best Musical Program of the Year".

Rules of the game

Let's remember what the rules of the game were. So, two teams of three people participate: two invited guests (usually famous actors or singers) and an accompanist. In turn, the teams choose one of the closed blue screens and must guess the intended song, the line from which is encrypted on TV screens. It is impossible to guess the song by the first word, so the participants are obliged to sing any song where the open word occurs, always in the corresponding case. If the players open the red screen, the turn passes to the other team.

In the super game of the transfer, all six screens open at once, on which the words of the song are mixed up in places. Either the facilitator may ask the finalist team to name a number from one to six, or invite the finalist to the stage to select one of the six balloons, each with the same numbers written on them. The number on the ball or named by the team of finalists will correspond to the number of screens to be opened. If the participants of one of the teams guess the song, then the team of a certain piano becomes the winner of the program.

Leading

The hosts of the program were Sergey Minaev (1998-2001), then he was replaced by Valery Syutkin (2002-2003), and then he continued to broadcast in 2004 until the closure in 2005.

"My family"

About the program

Everyone, of course, remembers the Russian family talk show with Valery Komissarov, which aired on ORT from July 25 to August 29, 1996, then there was a break until October 3, 1996, after which My Family returned to the air and aired on Thursdays , then on Saturdays until the end of 1997. In 1998, the program moved to RTR and aired there on Saturday evenings until 2003. And already from 2004 to 2005 there were reruns on the TV3 channel.

Rules

The program discussed various types of family problems. Both professional psychologists and actors, musicians and so on participated. The conversations usually took place in the studio, in a makeshift large kitchen.

Closing the program

Initially, they wanted to close the program in the spring of 2003, but then the information was refuted by the presenter himself. The final decision to close it was made in the summer of 2003, when Valery Komissarov joined the United Russia party and entered politics, as well as new television projects.

"Morning Post"

About the transfer

The program "Morning Mail" went on the air in 1974. It aired consistently on Sundays at 11 am until the mid-90s.

The host was Yuri Nikolaev, but sometimes Shirvindt, Derzhavin, Shifrin, Vedeneeva, Akopyan, Shustitsky were broadcasting. The program was very popular with the Soviet audience. Even in the Soviet army, the weekend routine included the item “Viewing the programs “I Serve the Soviet Union” and “Morning Mail”.

Rules

The concept of the program is the fulfillment of requests from the audience. According to the script, bags of letters came to the program, where the audience asked to fulfill the musical request. Nikolaev read an interesting letter and turned on a musical number. In fact, bags of letters, of course, came, but no one fulfilled these requests. Nikolaev said in an interview that if all applications were fulfilled, then there would be no one in the program except Pugacheva, Kobzon, Antonov and Rotaru. They just wrote a script with an interesting plot and acted out the host and the guests of the program, if they were invited.

Sunset of popularity

In the mid-90s, Nikolaev led a new project "Morning Star" and left the "Morning Post". The program immediately lost its ratings and moved to the ORT channel, where it was hosted by Cabaret Duet Academy, Sergey Minaev, and the Ponomarenko brothers. Later, Nikolaev returned to the transmission and tried to revive it, but to no avail. The transfer was safely forgotten.

"Me and my dog"

About the show

Dog show "Me and my dog" - an entertainment program in which the owners and their dogs took part. Together they participated in competitions, overcame obstacles together, answered questions and received prizes.

In 1995, the program first appeared on the NTV channel, and in 2002 it moved to Channel One. Also in 2002, the program aired on Ren TV.

The main motto of the "Dog Show" is: "If the dog cannot do something, the owner can do it for him, and vice versa."

Rules

Any person raising a dog could take part in the show. The competitions were evaluated by a jury, which usually included theater and film artists, popular pop singers, poets, composers, writers, directors.

After the capture of the NTV television company in April 2001, the program was temporarily suspended, and replays of the best moments of the old episodes were on the air. In the fall of 2001, the authors of the program decided to change the concept in connection with the move to a new studio. The dog walking yard was transformed into an elite dog club, and the image of the host, who became the owner of this club, also changed. But as before, the entrance to the studio was open to everyone without exception. A brass band also appeared in the studio.

Closing the transfer

In September 2002, the program, along with the program "Traveling a Naturalist", moved to Channel One.

However, the style of the studio and graphic design remained the same. In 2004, the NTV channel wanted to lure the Dog Show back to itself, but this never happened. The program finally ceased to exist in August 2005.

Achievements

The program was nominated four times for the national television competition "TEFI" (in 1996 - as the best program for children, in 1997 - "The best presenter", in 1998 - as the best entertainment program and the best presenter). Has a diploma of the International Festival of TV Programs for Children and Youth. Its permanent host is Mikhail Shirvindt.

"Call of the Jungle"

Description

The children's entertainment program Call of the Jungle originally aired on Channel One on a weekly Saturday morning from 1993 to 1995 and on ORT every Wednesday from 1995 to 2002. The first host of the program was Sergey Suponev. After him, the transfer was also carried out by Pyotr Fedorov and Nikolai Gadomsky.

Rules of the game

The game, as a rule, was attended by two teams - "predators" and "herbivores". Each team had 4 people.

Herbivores played in yellow T-shirts, which had images of animals on them. So, there were elephant, panda, koala, monkey participants. Predators played in red jerseys: crocodile, lion, panther and leopard.

Two teams competed in competitions like the Merry Starts. When the “herbivores” won in a particular competition, they were thrown a fake “banana” as one point. When the "predators" won, they threw a fake "bone". At the end of the game, the team that had the most bananas or bones in the basket by the end of the game won.

From 2006 to September 12, 2009, the episodes shown on ORT from 1995 to January 12, 2002 were rerun on the former Telenanny channel. Since June 1, 2011, episodes of 1993-1994 have been repeated on the Nostalgia channel.

"Sex with Anfisa Chekhova"

About the transfer

Who do people prefer to have sex with? Where do they do it? When? How? Anfisa Chekhova shared detailed, fresh, interesting information on how to get real satisfaction from intimate life in her television erotic show Sex with Anfisa Chekhova.

She introduced the audience to the practical and technical side of sexual life. Real intimate stories, the opinion of sexologists, the results of research by scientists. The program talked about all aspects of sexual relations, the desire for intimacy, the search for unusual experiences, intimacy for one night, passion, love, a thirst for adventure.

The erotic show "Sex with Anfisa Chekhova" has been released in Russia since 2000. The author of the idea and permanent presenter Anfisa Chekhova has been collecting materials for many years to acquaint viewers with her findings. Considering the nature of the broadcast, it was usually put on either at midnight or a little later. Specially invited male strippers helped Anfisa reveal the innermost secrets of her sexual life.

In her program, Anfisa talked about the most interesting stories from people's personal lives. About how to become sexy and realize your innermost desires, how to return an extinct passion, win a beloved man and prevent him from going to the left.

Show closing

Despite the popularity of the show, it was not destined to last long. During the economic crisis, filming of new episodes of the program was stopped. The project was frozen, and the old releases of the program until 2012 were released in repetitions.

"Window"

Start

The first issue of the program "Windows" was released on the STS channel on May 20, 2002. And immediately gathered a huge audience at the screens. After all, spying on the neighbors through the keyhole is a curious and beloved by many people. And in the program, non-childish passions were in full swing: offended wives pulled out the hair of their husband's mistresses, men fought because of the slightest insults, both strippers and transvestites came to the program, and, of course, all this was accompanied by obscene language. The audience has never seen such a show! On Channel One there were similar programs with similar washing of bones and digging in dirty linen: “Big Wash”, “My Family”, but it seemed that there were still some kind of framework. In "Windows" they were completely erased.

There was another factor why the audience liked the show so much. He was led by the charming Dmitry Nagiev in a shirt unbuttoned on his chest and with long curly hair. He was not shy in expressions, sometimes he himself pushed the foreheads of the guests, and his “everything, bye, bye” is still remembered by the audience.

Plot

The idea and style of the program is copied from The Jerry Springer Show, which has been on the air since 1991.

Usually the plot of the program developed according to the following scheme: Dmitry Nagiev explained the background of the conflict, then the participants were invited to the studio one by one. The heroes dealt with each other verbally or with the use of force. In this case, by the way, there was a “security service” in the studio, consisting of two strong men, whose goal was to separate the fighting.

After the end of the discussion, the host announced the "gong" and invited the audience to speak about the problem, and each was given exactly ten seconds. So, for one program, three different stories were analyzed, which were not connected in any way.

Latest release

A few months after the start of the broadcast of the program, the newly appeared TVS channel wanted to lure the rating “Windows” to itself. But the author of the scandalous talk show, Valery Komissarov, changed his mind at the last moment and canceled the deal.

In 2002, the new CEO of the STS channel, Alexander Rodnyansky, decided to close Okna. And from July 22, 2002, the program began to appear on the TNT channel. True, the rest of the summer, until September 1, was also played on STS on the old editions of Okon.

In February 2005, the last block of programs was filmed, and in the same year the talk show was closed due to fading ratings. The fact is that by this moment the audience was finally convinced that all the characters are dummy actors. At first, many still believed that these were real people who dared to come to the program in order to sort out their family affairs. But attentive viewers began to notice that in some issues the characters are repeated, but the stories they tell do not match.

“I’ll tell you a secret: during the existence of the program, there was not a single real hero in it,” Dmitry admitted a few years after the show closed. - So far, no one has repeated the success of "Windows". Imagine when a channel with a share of 3.4% (professionals should understand this) gives 26%. It's like an ant carrying an elephant. It was like this.

God bless the creators of the program. During my work at Okny, I bought real estate in Moscow. So we still exist in a small apartment - me and my mother with a cat.

Lolita without complexes

Start

The first issue of the program was released on Channel One on August 29, 2005. The theme is eternal: family problems, relationships between fathers and children, men and women, sex, love... But there is one difference: Lolita's emotionality. The singer talked to each guest like a close friend. She never condemned, but she could openly express the most impartial criticism, and then cry with the hero. Her motto: "Getting rid of complexes helps a person to change his attitude to life, and therefore change his life."

Plot

Each program was devoted to a separate topic. Lolita indicated a series of questions that she tried to answer together with her guests, each of whom told his story at a separate table in the center of the hall. The studio was also attended by professional psychologists, psychotherapists, who gave the characters specific advice and helped them find a way out of the most hopeless situations. And this, by the way, was a breakthrough in the talk show format. Lolita was one of the first to work in conjunction with professional commentators, for which in 2007 she was awarded the TEFI national television award in the Talk Show Host nomination.

Latest release

The talk show was closed in 2007 at the initiative of Lolita herself. The singer admitted that this work terribly exhausted her.

“There is no secret here, I was just tired and left,” Lolita said. - I passed all the stories through myself, delved into the essence of each, got madly tired and, as a result, broke down from overexertion. Physically, at that time, I passed too much, because television is not my only job. And I was not satisfied with the installation of the program. What took place on the site was livelier and richer than what went on the air. I'm talking about technical flaws. It happens that the operator misses, and the one who sits at the control panel in the editing room is too lazy to tell about it. I am a perfectionist by nature, so when I see this, I swear. I’m used to delve into everything to the very essence and I don’t understand how you can work carelessly. I'm uncomfortable."

Return

After 8 years, the program has a chance to return to the screens. True, on a different channel and with a different name.

- For those who missed the program "Without complexes": since August 2014, the shooting of my new show "Lolita" has been going on, - the singer announced the good news. We got the go-ahead after the pilot episodes. The program will be aired on Friday!

"I myself"

Start

The first truly female talk show appeared on February 22, 1995, on the eve of the men's holiday Defender of the Fatherland Day, as a protest against the fact that most films and programs of that time were oriented towards men: politics, sports, action films, etc. In the program “I myself” they talked only about women's problems under the guidance of Yulia Menshova, the daughter of director Vladimir Menshov and actress Vera Alentova. Julia did not want to follow in the footsteps of her star parents, and this was her first attempt to do something on her own. In just a few months, she has already become one of the most popular, most recognizable TV presenters on the Russian television screen.

Plot

Celebrities, experts in various fields and the most ordinary people gathered in the studio to talk openly, argue about pressing issues: “I don’t love my child”, “My husband joined a sect”, etc. In different periods of the talk show going on the air, Yulia Menshova had co-hosts: playwright and prose writer Irina Khrisanfova, psychologist Olga Serdobova, writer Maria Arbatova.

closure

The program “I myself” lasted until 2002, first airing on the TV-6 channel, and later on NTV. Over the years of its existence, the program “I myself” has repeatedly changed its style, appeared on different channels, but all this time it has remained one of the most popular, highest-rated talk shows. In 1999, Yulia Menshova became the winner of the TEFI national television award in the Talk Show Host nomination. “Before working on the show“ Myself ”, dad was not too proud of my success. Basically, they sawed me with my mother, ”Julia recalled. - And when I left under their wing, theater and cinema, and took up television, some kind of objectivity came. They began to react more calmly. And finally they became proud of me. After receiving TEFI, my dad even praised me for the first time.

Return to TV

After almost 10 years, Yulia Menshova returned to TV. On Channel One, her author's program “Alone with Everyone” is now being released, where she talks with popular people for an hour. “This is a return to the native home,” Yulia admitted. - Over the past 10 years, some changes have taken place on television, but they are more of a structural order. What we once opened as a bicycle is now working on an automatic machine. And it's very nice. As for the actual recording of the program, I don't have the feeling that there was any kind of pause at all. I do not feel mad excitement, I calculate my strength and know what I can and what not. Probably, when it really is your business, you adequately assess your strengths, without underestimating the possibilities and not exaggerating.

"Lucky case"

Start

On domestic television, the family TV show appeared in 1989. This is not the know-how of our producers, but an analogue of the American show "Race for the Leader". Each edition was attended by two teams (families), consisting of four people. They answered the intellectual questions of the presenter, each other, viewers. Based on the results of 5 rounds, the winner was determined. The team, which managed to win four games in a row, received unthinkable prizes at that time: a TV, a VCR and a music center.

Rules

The rules of the quiz have changed over time. Initially, on the table in front of the teams there was a playing field with colored sectors, indicating the topics of the questions. After 1994 this field disappeared. True, a new round appeared, where pop stars, actors, athletes asked questions to the participants. The ratings for Lucky Chance were crazy until 1999. After moving from ORT to TVC, the program lasted another couple of months, and then completely closed.

Leading

From the very first issue, the quiz was hosted by Mikhail Marfin, who, one might say, along with Voroshilov, instilled in Russians a love for smart games. In addition to hosting Lucky Event, Mikhail from 1992 to 2004 was the editor of the Major League of KVN, in 2007-2009 he was a permanent jury member of the TNT programs Laughter Without Rules and Killer League. Since 2013, he has been hosting the show "You Can't Think Smarter" on the STV channel. Writes scripts for series and films.

"Women's Look" by Oksana Pushkina

Start

For the first time, the domestic viewer found out who Oksana Pushkina was in 1997. Upon returning to her homeland after a long stay in the United States, the journalist came to the VID company with a proposal to make an author's program about the difficult fate of women. The creators of VID liked the idea. A couple of months later, “Women's Stories” by Oksana Pushkina appeared on the air. The audience instantly remembered Pushkina's manner of presentation: the revelations of the stars talking about their difficult life, overcoming adversity and a sympathetic voice-over. Oksana at the moment became one of the most popular presenters.

Moving to NTV

True, despite the success, two years later, Pushkin moved to NTV due to financial disagreements with the channel. Like, no money was paid. Oksana's new program became known as Oksana Pushkina's Women's Look. But the "first button" did not lag behind. Oerteshniks launched a twin project "Women's Stories" with Tatyana Pushkina. Not only did the hosts of similar programs have the same last names, they also looked very similar in appearance. As a result, the two channels had almost identical programs.

closure

The last issue of "Women's Look ..." was aired in 2013. The transfer was closed due to Pushkina's return to Channel One.

Talk show "Arina"

Start

The program aired on the NTV channel in 1998-1999. The host, as the name implies, is Arina Sharapova. The genre of this show is very similar to Yulia Menshova's project "Alone with Everyone", which is now on Channel One.

The essence of the project

Famous people came to the studio to Arina and talked on various, sometimes very personal topics. For example, on one of the talk show broadcasts there was Lyudmila Gurchenko, who spoke about a terrible illness that she suffered in 1996. Sharapova's program was distinguished by very interesting, but at the same time tactful questions and, of course, the charm of the presenter.

closure

However, in October 1999, Arina left for TV-6, and in 2001 she returned to the First, where she still leads Good Morning. From 2007 to 2010, Sharapova was the co-host of Fashion Sentence. In 2013, she held several episodes of the game "The Best Husband", in 2014 - the host of the "Island of Crimea" project. Since the same 2014, she has been the president of the School of Arts and Media Technologies.

"Brain Ring"

Start

Another intellectual show of domestic production from Vladimir Voroshilov. The creator of the program "What? Where? When?" I conceived this project in the early 80s. However, he managed to bring the idea to life only a decade later. The essence of the program is close to that of ChGK, however, instead of one team of experts, two teams of 6 people each answer the same questions. The order of answers is determined by the button on the table of participants: whoever clicked first - first and answered. Accordingly, the intensity of passions due to competitive struggle intensified.

Leading

The first few issues in the early 90s were conducted by Voroshilov himself. In 1991, Andrei Kozlov, one of the experts in the elite club, became the project leader. In addition to him, Alexander Druz, Boris Burda, Vladimir Belkin took part in the Brain Ring at different times.

What now?

The program also moved frequently from channel to channel. At first, it was shown on the first button, for some time it was on the TVC. From February 6 to December 4, 2010, she appeared on the STS TV channel. The hosts were Andrey Kozlov and actress Elizaveta Arzamasova (in the image of Galina Sergeevna Vasnetsova, a character in the TV series "Daddy's Daughters"). In 2013, several episodes were shown by the Zvezda channel (a special tournament among employees of the Ministry of Defense).

Also, their versions of the show were released in Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaijan.

"Up to 16 and over"

Start

In 1983, a program appeared on the First Program of the Central Television of the USSR, highlighting the life of young people. Moreover, it spoke not only about the achievements and successes of young Soviet citizens, but also about their problems. Homelessness, hazing in the army, drugs and rock and roll - the presenters and correspondents of "Up to 16 ..." dealt with the most burning topics. Even intimate issues were discussed in the “Tete-a-tete” section. Famous people were often invited to the program. So, in 1988, immediately after the sensational film "The Needle", the idol of that time, Viktor Tsoi, appeared on the air.

Journalists and presenters

At the initial stage, the issue was a magazine, consisting of separate stories, reports. Later, the program became closer to the format of a talk show with the studio and guests discussing the burning topics of the younger generation. Among the hosts of the show were Sergey Suponev, who since 1986 worked in the Children's Edition of the Central Television and prepared stories for the program "Under 16 and Over" and Alexei Veselkin.

closure

On the blue screens "Under 16 and older" lasted a long time, until 2001. Since then, the project has been on indefinite leave. No one has fully occupied this niche.

"The Domino Principle"

Start

The program started on the NTV channel in 2001. Elena Ishcheeva and Elena Khanga were chosen as the hosts of the Domino Principle. Issues were daily. The program caused an unprecedented stir - more than 700 programs went on the air in three television seasons.

The essence of the program

The talk show was based on real characters and real stories. In each issue, the presenters, together with the guests and experts of the program, discussed a specific situation or problem. The name "Domino Principle" was intended to reflect the essence of what is happening in the studio - the desire to study every circumstance, any factor that affects the chain of subsequent events. In a figurative sense, when one domino pushes another, the whole chain falls.

closure

More and more often, Elena Ishcheeva and Elena Hange had to resolve conflicts not only between the participants of the broadcasts, but also between themselves. As Ishcheeva later admitted, she and Khanga could not work together, but if this happened, the program could have existed for a very, very long time. By 2006, ratings for The Domino Principle were so low that the program had to be taken off the air.

"Details"

Start

The program appeared on the TV network of the STS channel in 2002. Tina Kandelaki became the host of "Details". The episodes were broadcast live. The production of the first version of the program, which was released from September to December 2002, was carried out by the TV company VID. Then the program went for revision and returned to the air only in 2003.

The essence of the program

Guests came to Tina Kandelaki's studio, with whom it would be interesting and informative to talk on various topics. From 2003 to 2007, the “Details in the Morning” program was released, hosted by Sasha Markvo and Nastya Chukhrai, and the regular issue was released on weekdays at night. From this program went "Stories in Detail" and "Cinema in Detail". Since the autumn of 2006, the program has been broadcast live and has become interactive - anyone can call the studio of the program and ask the guest a question. At the same time, politicians were never invited to the program in accordance with the apolitical concept of STS broadcasting.

closure

In November 2006, Tina Kandelaki became the winner of the TEFI award in the nomination "Talk Show Host" thanks to this TV show. However, in the first half of 2007, the popular program disappeared from the air of CTC due to the low ratings of the latest episodes. The reason for the ratings downgrade is that the format is not updated. In addition, it was mentioned that over the four years of the existence of the program, Kandelaki managed to talk with almost all possible guests.

In the summer of 2007, we decided to revive the program in an updated format. Tina Kandelaki began to lead it along with Renata Litvinova and Kirill Serebrennikov. However, this format did not arouse much viewer interest, and after the New Year holidays in 2008, the program was finally closed.

"Weak Link"

Start

The television game "The Weakest Link" on Russian television has become an analogue of the English The Weakest Link. In Russia, the program was launched on September 25, 2001. She immediately aroused the increased interest of the audience and even divided it into two camps: some considered the game to be excessively cruel, revealing the most obscene qualities in people, while others, on the contrary, were interesting and exciting.

Rules of the game

A team of seven (until November 2001 - nine) previously unknown people is trying to earn a prize of up to 400,000 rubles by answering questions from the presenter. A total of 6 rounds with 7 players, 7 rounds with 8 players, 8 rounds with 9 players and a final. The time of each round is limited (the duration of the first round is 2.5 minutes, each subsequent round is 10 seconds less), the time for thinking about the questions of the final is not limited.

A feature of the transfer is the removal of one of the players at the end of each game round, which is done by voting of all players.

The first question of the first round is given to the player whose name is first in alphabetical order (in subsequent rounds - to the strongest player of the previous round according to statistics, or if the strongest link left the game, then the player with the name first in alphabetical order or the next strong link in statistics starts the round), then the players answer in turn. In each round, you can earn up to 50,000 rubles by building chains of correct answers. In the last round, any amount earned by the participants is doubled (that is, you can earn up to 100,000 rubles). The fastest way to earn the maximum amount is to build a chain of 8 correct answers, in which case the round ends ahead of schedule.

Jokes by Maria Kiseleva:

- Who is dragging the whole team down?

- Who got lost in the three pines?

Who has a head just to eat in it?

- Who is suitable for the slogan "Slower, lower, weaker"?

- Whose intelligence is at the level of the plinth?

- Whom will the team remove like a bad tooth?

closure

The game aired on Channel One with host Maria Kiseleva until July 2, 2005. Two years later, a license to produce its own version of the game was acquired by Channel Five, from December 2, 2007 to December 28, 2008, the game was hosted by Nikolai Fomenko.

"Peak hour"

Start

Popular in the 1990s, the television program of the TV company VID in the genre of a television interview, copied from the Larry King show Larry King Live up to the presenter's suspenders, is one of the programs that "changed the Russians' perception of television." It went live on Channel One Ostankino, and from April 3, 1995 - on ORT from Monday to Thursday at 19:00. The first issue was released on May 30, 1994. Until March 1, 1995, the program was hosted by Vlad Listyev.

The essence of the program

The host of the program, Vlad Listyev, invited a guest to the studio, with whom he had conversations on topical issues - in different years, Kristina Orbakaite, Yuri Nikulin, Yan Arlazorov and others visited the studio.

closure

After the murder of Vlad Listyev on the evening of March 1, 1995, many assumed that the program would be closed, but it continued to air. On the evening of March 2, 1995, an edition of the program dedicated to Vlad Listyev was released, without a host. After the launch of ORT, from April 3 to September 28, 1995, the program was alternately hosted by Sergey Shatunov and Dmitry Kiselev, from October 2, 1995 to August 29, 1996, the program was alternately hosted by Dmitry Kiselev and Andrey Razbash. Since September 2, 1996, the talk show was hosted by Andrey Razbash alone. In February 1998, the program covered the Nagano Olympics.

"Star Hour"

Start

The children's TV program began to air on Mondays on the ORT channel on October 19, 1992. It was held in the format of an intellectual game. The first host of the program was the actor Alexei Yakubov, but soon he was replaced by Vladimir Bolshov. The first few months of 1993 were hosted by Igor Bushmelev and Elena Shmeleva (Igor and Lena), from April 1993 until December 8, 2001, Sergey Suponev, who became the head of the program. Project by Vladislav Listyev.

Rules of the game

The game was played according to two fundamentally different systems of rules. To be precise, the rules differed even from game to game, in particular, the participation of parents in the rounds in the points season (in some rounds the host released after the first) and the awarding of stars in the second.

Spectacle season

The game consisted of three rounds and a final. The game was attended by 6 teams, each of which consisted of a participant - a schoolboy of about 8-10 grades and one of his parents, less often a teacher or friend. Parents answered all the questions at the same time with the children, bringing them extra points. If the parent gave three incorrect answers, then he left the game. In the points season, there was no sign "0" (there is no correct answer), zero round. The difference between the first and second only affected the order of naming the words in the final.

star season

The star was given for the correct answer of both the participant and the parent in the first and third rounds; in the second, the parent has the longest word, the participant has the longest word, and they received a different number of stars from game to game. The difference in stars gave a handicap in the final: the one who cannot say a word or give a star loses.

If all members should receive a star on one basis, then no one did. It became especially important in the later games, since the record was 9 stars (+1 for opening the red box), and with such a number no one reached the final: it was guaranteed that you could get only 3 + 2 + 2, in the first round you need three the players made a mistake, and in the third - so that the opponents gave the correct answer to the same question or made a mistake.

Zero tour

A gift for the presenter is a craft or a performance. At the beginning, the host gave a star to those who cooked. But after everyone began to cook, the star was given only to the best. Once, the host gave a star to the only contestant who didn't cook anything.

First tour

In the first round, the participants were offered eight objects or concepts indicated on the video board, and asked questions, the answers to which were these objects. The answers were given by lifting up the plates with numbers - the numbers of the answers (respectively, from 1 to 8).

Second round

At the beginning of the second round, 10 large cubes with letters on their faces poured out of the pipe (later - 9 with a star replacing any letter). Those letters that appeared on the upper faces (looking up) were taken for the task. It was necessary to form words from these letters, using as many of the dropped letters as possible. The words were also composed by the parents. For the longest word among the parents, the participant received 50 points. For their words, all participants received 50 points for each letter. Later, a star was awarded for the longest word for the participant, and another one for the parent. In some cases, they received three if they matched.

There was also a game with spectators according to the rules: the spectators who were the first to name each word, if it was the longest that was composed, came out. Then there was one prize: which one - you have to guess (they asked a question in turn, to which you can answer “yes” / “no”). And get a prize if the presenter answered “yes” to the exact, sometimes close, name of the subject).

At least three players advanced to the third round. Those with the longest words came out first. Then those who made shorter words, but had the most points (stars). With equal points, everyone passed.

Prize competition

In the points season: the player who made up the longest word (if several, then the one who scored the most points in the 1st-2nd rounds, in case of equality, an additional question was asked) had the right to choose a prize. Prizes were hidden in five numbered boxes, it was necessary to point to the correct box. The player could keep the prize or open another one (up to three boxes). If two had the same number of points (which was rare, they needed equality in the first round), then an additional question was asked.

In the star season: the player with the longest word (if more than one, then the one with the most stars) had the right to choose a prize. Prizes were hidden in seven boxes of different colors and sizes, it was necessary to point to the right box. A star was taken for opening each box. If you do not like the prize, then you can leave it and open another one. One of the boxes contained a star, giving the right to open another box for free. The red box may contain the best prize, but it may also be empty, after which it is impossible to open other boxes in any case (the rule was not introduced immediately). If two participants named a word of equal length and had an equal number of stars, they could open one box each, except for the red one. If there was a star, then he opened the second one for free, "Applause" - for a fee. Sometimes the participants opened the boxes, and there was nothing there...

Third round

In the third round, 4 (later 3) objects or concepts appeared on the scoreboard. For each question, unlike the first round, different items appeared. It was necessary either to indicate which of the objects or concepts is superfluous, or by raising two tablets at once to show which of the objects must be swapped so that they are located in a certain order. It was evaluated similarly to the first round.

In the late games, the parents did not answer the question, but only the first one to raise the sign and with the correct answer received. The rule changed the strategy: for the leader (who reached the final) there was a theoretical opportunity to be the first to raise the sign, but it is necessary that both opponents answered correctly or both made a mistake, and that an equal number of stars was previously scored. The lagging behind had to be the first to raise the sign, otherwise they would not go to the final. Only two players qualified for the final.

The final

In the final, participants without parents (later with them) competed against each other, starting with the one with the lowest score. The winner was the one who made up more short words from one long one. For the word, named alone, received 20 points. For a word named with a parent, +10. If during the game the player scored 1000 points and won the final, he won the super prize.

closure

After the tragic death of the host Sergei Suponev on December 8, 2001, the program ceased to exist. The last episode aired on January 16, 2002. They did not find a replacement for the host, although they tried Sergey Belogolovtsev and Kirill Suponev as new hosts. In addition, many other ORT children's programs were closed, such as Call of the Jungle, as well as the broadcast of animated series at 15:30.

"Big Wash"

Start

The show was launched in July 2001, then on the ORT channel. Host Andrei Malakhov recalls how his idea was born:

- I saw how popular talk shows and their hosts are in the USA: Larry King, Oprah Winfrey (Malakhov studied in America. - Approx. Site). And they have been leading them for ten to fifteen years. And so, having returned, in the corridors of Ostankino I met TV presenter Larisa Krivtsova (who later became the producer of the Big Strike. - Approx. "Antenna"), and she asked me if there were any fresh ideas. I shared my American impressions. Moreover, talking about the talk show, he assumed that this was rather its format. But at the next meeting, she stunned me with the news that she had agreed with the channel’s management on a new program (this was the “Big Wash”) and that I would lead it.

This show gave impetus to Andrey's stellar career.

Rules of the game

The slogan of the program: “One hour - this is the automatic mode of operation of the washing machine. Now, instead of the usual soap operas, housewives, having started the laundry, will watch an hour-long talk show.” For an hour, Malakhov talked with the guests in the studio, discussing the scandalous details of his personal life, both stars and ordinary people. She went out on weekdays, first at four o'clock, then at five.

closure

The program ceased to exist in 2004. But the format of the scandalous talk show on Channel One has not disappeared. The Big Wash just changed its name. First on "Five Evenings", and then on "Let them talk."

"Both on!"

Start

Rules

The program was quite revolutionary for the then Soviet television. Graphic design is a black and white cage, and this was the point: it was chess, and a taxi, and a certain element of clowning. It was a satirical program, they joked both about people and about some events. One of the brightest performances is "The Funeral of Food", a parody of the funeral of Soviet general secretaries. In addition to Ugolnikov, the team also included Nikolai Fomenko, a member of the Secret group, Valdis Pelsh (he directed the first few episodes), actor Yevgeny Voskresensky. It is in "Both-on!" The then third-year students of the Shchukin School, Nonna Grishaeva and Maria Aronova, began their careers.

closure

After the departure of Nikolai Fomenko and Evgeny Voskresensky from the program, it was renamed “Oba-na! Angle show. The last episode aired on December 24, 1995.

"Love at first sight"- a television game show that originally aired on Channel One in two parts. Later, when "Love at First Sight" began to broadcast RTR, the program began to appear in its entirety.

"Love at First Sight" became the first licensed game purchased by Russian television in the West. The rights to it belong to the English studio Action Time.

The constant leaders were Alla Volkova And Boris Kryuk.

Three young men and three girls took part in the game. At the first stage, the participants of the game had to answer the cunning questions of the presenters. At the same time, the players were hidden from each other and formed an idea about each other only on the basis of the answers they heard.

Then the girls and boys, by pressing the buttons, “choose” a pair for themselves, and the computer determines which pairs matched.

Those who were lucky enough to choose each other went to a restaurant, and the next day the second stage of the game began.

The program first aired on the ORT channel on January 12, 1992, and in 1996 the last episode of the show took place. From 1997 to 1998, the program was broadcast on the RTR channel.

In 2000, the ORT company launched a program, the prototype of which was "Love at First Sight" - "The Seventh Sense". Igor Vernik became the host, and the essence was that the participant makes a choice from 6 different applicants, focusing on how the competitors pass various tests. The program aired from February 12, 2000 to May 26, 2001.

pictured Boris Kryuk with his wife and her sister

(odnaknopka)(jcomments on)

Interesting on the web

Many still remember and love the very first pair of presenters - Alla Volkova and Boris Kryuk (later Pavel Kostitsyn and Katya Vinogradova were at Inter, and now Andrey Domansky and Vasilisa Frolova). Boris and Alla looked so harmonious that from time to time there were persistent rumors that they had become husband and wife.

After the show, Volkova really got married (and for the third time), but not at all to Boris, but to Igor Ivannikov, the former soloist of the Doctor Watson group, with whom she is happily married today.

In 2000, when the program was closed, Alla disappeared from television screens, but did not stop her creative activity on TV, taking the place of program director at the Igra-TV television company ("What? Where? When?", "Brain Ring", "Cultural revolution", etc.), where he still works under the leadership of ... Boris Kryuk.

Volkova has two adult sons, Julius and Arthur, and a grandson and granddaughter. Lives in a country house in the Moscow region. She loves to bake pies, ride a bike, dogs (she has several) and weave baubles from natural stones.

We managed to talk with Alla about "Love at first sight" and not only.

"It was all improvisation"

- Alla, remember your reaction to the proposal to become the host of the Love at First Sight program?

I remember that I was pleasantly surprised and, as a responsible person, rushed to the libraries to read Freud. Believe it or not, I even went to psychology courses for two years, which were taught by my friend, the rector of the university, Olga Potemkina! Before all this, I was an "expert", in 1979 I came to the youth editorial office for the program "What? Where? When?". The decision - who to take the host of the program - was made by two people: Vladimir Voroshilov and Natalia Stetsenko (Voroshilov's wife, mother of Boris Kryuk, TV editor. - Auth.).

- It was the first entertainment show, there was no experience in conducting such programs yet. What was required of you?

They didn't demand anything from us, it was a complete improvisation. The British helped us for several years. We didn't have computers! When they saw equipment from 1970 or even 1967 at our television center, they grabbed their heads. And they were very surprised when the result was a perfect picture. They brought us computers that were not on our TV at that time, and their computer engineer Chris Goss did all the screensavers, flying hearts, archery for us.

- What was our feature?

Leading. Boris is intelligence, mind, wonderful humor. And Alla-leader is lightness, outfits, hairstyles. They even dyed me blonde. Yes, I myself added to my image of frivolity.

- Did you feel comfortable in the image of a blonde?

I am a completely different person! But we have a lot of different characters in us. And at different moments a person manifests himself in different ways. We had a good stylist Alexander Shevchuk. So when he changed my appearance, everyone just applauded him! Each time our group looked at me with surprise, because each time he painted a new face for me! For this I am very grateful to him, because they recognize me only by my voice (laughs). He also chose the costumes.

"I'm glad that there was no yellow press then"

- Did you feel like a star?

We were recognized. But it was the post-Soviet space. You can not compare the concept of a star then and now. Now it stands for a glamorous lifestyle. And then we didn’t even know the word! For us, work and creativity came first.

- Probably, you were constantly "married" with Boris Kryuk. How did you get away with it?

The thing is, it didn't really bother us. If we had an affair, we would get married. Moreover, it is so convenient - for ten years to produce a program and be together (laughs). If we didn’t get married, then there was no romance.

Actually, I love Boris very much, I have such a sisterly love for him. And the fruit of this love is this program. Boris has always treated me, and still treats me very tenderly. But he has a completely different type of women in his head that he marries (laughs).

I am terribly glad that my program went out for so long and that then, in fact, there was no tabloid press that would come up with all sorts of fables. It’s just that my children and my mother, who was still alive then, would not have endured all this horror and nightmare when they discuss who and what, where and with whom.

- Friends did not ask for the project "by pull"?

No. As in the case of "What? Where? When?" not a single one of my acquaintances, not a single relative sent a single question of his own and did not receive money.

- What do you think, is there a need for a modern viewer in such projects now?

I think that this program is for all time.

"This is life, and everyone steps on their own rake"

- Now in Ukraine, on the Inter channel, the updated project Love at First Sight has just started. But this is no longer a youth show - its characters are mostly those who are about 30 or over 30 ...

More experienced heroes - this is a very correct approach. After all, they have something to say! We also had different heroes. And there were young people. There were even children, they had very funny statements. One little girl 5 years old to the question "What is happiness"? answered: "It is a room full of gold." Like this!

- How do you feel about the fact that now communication between men and women has moved to a virtual level?

They need to meet sometime! The fact is that they thus expand the circle of communication. You can't sit in a cafe and talk to 9 applicants! And here you can get to know everyone and reject someone (laughs). This is life, and everyone steps on their own rake.

- Do you believe in love at first sight?

Probably, it happens - just at first sight. With him, everyone decides whether he is a person or not.

From the history of the TV show

Colleagues did not recognize the program

Stephen Leahy (the author of the program, at that time the director of the Action Time company, from which they bought the license for the show. - Auth.) brought a whole bag of different programs, formats that his company produced, - recalls Alla Volkova. - Vladimir Voroshilov and Natalia Stetsenko chose "Love at First Sight" because it struck them. They didn't want to buy some new quiz or something like "What? Where? When?".

As for the audience, they were divided. Some thought it was a revolutionary show and drew parallels with the fall of the Iron Curtain and the Berlin Wall. And someone thought that this was an immodest program and it was impossible to discuss some things related to the relationship of men and women.

By the way, all the programs of our television company - "What? Where? When?", "Brain Ring", "Cultural Revolution", "Life is Beautiful" - have been awarded the TEFI award more than once. And "Love at First Sight", although it was published for almost 10 years (from 1991 to 2000), does not have any award. Colleagues did not recognize her. It was considered too frivolous a show for our people.

The management was also ambivalent about this program ... We were staged at twelve o'clock in the morning. But the ratings still skyrocketed.

I remember one of the critics wrote that we send potential brides and grooms on a romantic trip in couples in cabins. In fact, there was nothing like that! The participants won a romantic trip, at the end of the year we collected them and sent them all by one ship. Naturally, no one lived with each other. Boys were placed with boys, girls with girls. We did not set as our goal a wedding-marriage. Although some couples did get married, and then we invited them to the studio.
