Drawing with cotton swabs. Master class with photo

Master class on drawing "Underwater world"

Dumler Tatyana Petrovna, drawing teacher of the MAOU gymnasium No. 56 in Tomsk
Purpose: this work is intended for small artists, teachers, parents.
Target: Perform a gouache drawing using an unconventional method.
Tasks:
- learn to draw animals of the underwater world
- develop imagination, creativity
- to promote the development of fine motor skills, attention.
Materials: To complete this work, we need drawing paper, gouache, a brush, cotton buds, a glass of water.

We offer first-graders to plunge into the magical world of the sea kingdom.
To begin with, a water surface should appear on the landscape sheet. With a wide brush, the guys paint over the background with paints of cold shades.

Gouache dries quickly. After a short conversation (or game, riddles, presentation), the guys start drawing marine life. We draw a turtle with brown paint: the body is a large oval, the paws are triangles, the head is a small oval.

Another amazing and beautiful inhabitant of the seas is a jellyfish. We draw it with lilac (or purple) paint. Semicircular body, ornate tentacles.

And of course it is difficult to imagine the sea without fish, beautiful, unusual, fabulous. With ocher (or yellow paint) we draw the body of an oval-shaped fish.

Cotton swabs as a material for drawing have been used for a long time. But for little artists it is always very unusual and intriguing. I propose to decorate our heroes with patterns using cotton swabs.

We dip a cotton swab into the paint, apply it to the drawing, creating patterns. We continue to decorate the turtle. For each color we use a new stick, put them in a cup.

To decorate the jellyfish, we use pink tones. I suggest that the guys mix white and pink paints to get a new shade. We also mix purple and white helmets. The guys apply patterns at their discretion.

You can decorate the fish with warm colors.

We perform the sandy bottom with yellow, brown, ocher paints. Algae first draw with a brush.

The children themselves choose further decoration of the picture. You can add other algae, you can draw stones, shells, you can draw air bubbles.

Try this work with your students and you will see what wonderful "masterpieces" you get. Good luck! Thank you for watching!

In this world, it is rather difficult to imagine anything more romantic than a sailboat sailing alone on the waves towards the unknown. Of course, traveling by sea is romance in itself, but a sailboat is just the pinnacle of all romantic dreams.

We have been dreaming of sailboats since early childhood, reading Jack London, Vladislav Krapivin or Jules Verne. But sailing even on a tiny sailing yacht will definitely not leave an adult indifferent. When a large real sailboat with several masts, a full set of straight and oblique sails appears on the horizon, it is simply breathtaking.

Long before the Titanic sank to the bottom of the sea, people on the water mostly moved on ordinary boards with sheets attached. The unique tradition of sending sheets into the sea has remained to this day, though already as an entertainment. Nevertheless, the topic is interesting, so in today's lesson you will see how to draw a sailboat with a pencil. A sailboat is a boat that uses the power of the wind to move. Brilliant and simply angry and cheap, but in complete calm it is extremely inconvenient.

The whole truth about life:
- A sailboat is also a fish that has lived among ships for a long time and its upper fin simply mutated into a sheet.
- The best way to catch the well-known seasickness is to run backwards on the deck during a storm.
- The black labor force appeared when the first ships sailed to the coast of Africa. There were real problems with the wind, but the ship still had to move. Therefore, the peoples of Africa were given oars and the meaning of life.
- A sailboat doesn't normally float on land, but when it does, expect a lot of civilian casualties.

Drawing a sailboat is easier than building or buying, but it will still look beautiful.

In this master class, we will learn together with you how to draw the sea with gouache with a sailboat. So, the drawing technique is gouache.

Haven't held brushes in your hands since school? It doesn't mean anything at all. Gouache drawings are a great start for beginners.

Why this particular technique?
Gouache is the best material to start with.
First of all, it is very affordable and can be purchased at virtually every step (compared to acrylic or oil).

Secondly, the water base of this type of paint makes it possible to easily vary the thickness of the paint, the level of its application, as well as the formation of textures on the canvas.

Thirdly, the fact that gouache is an absolutely non-toxic paint is very important. Thus, gouache lessons are completely safe for children and people with certain diseases and the presence of a variety of allergic reactions.

Fourthly, such paint quite flexibly combines some qualities of watercolor and, in some cases, even oil paints, therefore, painting with gouache will provide an opportunity to work out practical skills in other techniques.

The thick consistency of the paint allows you to impose different layers on top of each other, while painting the light areas darker or vice versa. This allows you to make many changes to the image before it dries. At the same time, it is also possible to blur the paint, dilute it with more transparent layers, which makes the drawing realistic.

It is in connection with the important advantages described above that in this lesson we will use gouache-type paint.

Position the sheet you are going to draw on vertically and divide it roughly in half. Let the top of the sheet be a little larger. With a large brush, start painting over the sky.

Draw a small moon with white gouache. It is necessary to circle the border with a bright yellow color. You can also fit a little orange.

While the gouache is not dry, add more dark color around the edges. To do this, simply mix black and blue paint on the palette.

Draw the outer edge of the clouds.

Mix blue, white and some black paint. Add to the clouds so that you get a very smooth transition from the bright part near the moon.

From the inside of the picture, you should draw lighter clouds, as they reflect the light of the moon. As long as the paint is still wet, mixing colors is easy enough. You can take a clean brush and use it to mix two colors in which you want to get an even and smooth transition.

For the stars, first mix bluish paint on the palette and draw a small circle. When the paint is dry, make a small dot of white paint with a thin brush.

Then you should carefully sketch the image of a sailboat with a pencil.

We draw the sea with gouache in stages. The sea should first be painted over with uneven long horizontal strokes, while alternating dark blue, light blue and turquoise paint. In the foreground, paint a large wave with blue-green paint.

Continue to draw the sea. With bright blue paint, draw small waves near the ship itself.

With white gouache, draw glare on the waves. Paint over a sailboat with gouache. Please note that the sails should be drawn with a very smooth transition from blue to white, from left to right.

On the waves, it remains now to draw small lambs of foam, and also to apply glare of light with a thin brush. I sprayed the foam with a hard gouache brush. At first, it is better to practice on some piece of paper.

The result is such a work - a sailboat that sails home through a mysterious moonlit night.

Draw waves

We have already drawn the waves in the sailboat example, but we want you to look at how they are drawn step by step again.

Lesson progress:

Guys, do you like to make discoveries?

Today we will go down to the bottom of the sea to explore undersea world. Close your eyes and imagine that we're all on submarine diving into the depths of the sea. Through a special window we observe this extraordinarily beautiful and mysterious undersea world.

This is the sea - without end and edge.

Waves crash on the sandy shore.

The wind will cease to be angry at the sea.

It will become clear who is hiding in the depths.

What do we see in the depths of the sea?

Fish, shark, octopus, crabs, jellyfish, seahorses, etc.

Well done! Right. Many different mysterious animals and fish live in the ocean-sea. We will now try to solve riddles about marine life. Listen carefully.

It looks like a horse

And he lives in the sea too.

That's the fish! Skok yes skok -

Jumping sea .... Skate. (Slide #2)

He pinches painfully

And screams: "Enough for me!

I'm tired. I'm not your slave!"

Scared the neighbors... Crab. (Slide #3)

He is a real circus performer -

Kicks the ball with his nose.

Know both the French and the Finn:

Likes to play ... Dolphin. (Slide number 4)

How smart you are, you guessed all the riddles. And your imagination is extraordinary, and it will give you amazing pictures now. underwater world. And today's task such: you need to draw a variety of magical mysterious undersea world. (Slide number 5)

And to make it easier for you to manifest it, consider how an artist begins to work on any idea. Artists are always working rule: from the general to the particular, that is, first they draw the basis, the contour of the intended object, and then work out its details.

Let's see how we can generalize the forms of marine life. These are all geometric shapes. Which? Having drawn any geometric figure, you can then make underwater inhabitant. (Showing the drawing method and related slides). At the bottom there are many pebbles, shells, there are also underwater plants. What are their names?

Seaweed.

That's right, algae. Some fish eat them.

After you finish composing the composition, we start working with color. Fill the background with blue paint, make it transparent so that the pencil drawing shows through. When the paint dries, paint the inhabitants of your drawing in bright colors. After they dry, decorate them with paint and cotton swabs. It turns out here is such a picture. (Show step by step drawing).

Practical part: the teacher invites the children to draw their compositions underwater world. Children work independently. If necessary, the teacher provides individual assistance. Reminds you how to properly hold a brush and use paints.

The analysis of finished works is carried out. A joint exhibition is organized in the ecological corner of the kindergarten.

How good it is to become a goldfish,

To swim in the blue-blue sea!

So that everyone admires your beauty,

Your beautiful lines

In deep sea or mighty ocean

So many secret unexplored wonders

And the sky is high above us

And we do not know human progress.

We ourselves are magic, we are just a fairy tale!

There are a lot of us: different and mysterious creatures.

We are a riot of color, bright colors,

We are a world of fantasy and miracles!

If you want to depict the inhabitants of the sea, the flora of this environment, then you need to know how to draw the underwater world in stages. First you will draw. Then you can draw a turtle, cancer, shark and other inhabitants of the sea and ocean depths.

gold fish

If you want a fish swimming across the canvas, start painting from it. Put it in profile. Draw a circle - this is a schematic representation of the head. Inside it, on the right, draw two small horizontal lines. This is where you start creating the underwater world. The photo will tell you where to draw these segments. In place of the upper one, mark a round eye, turn the lower line into a smiling mouth, slightly rounding it.

To the left of the head-circle, draw a small horizontal segment, which will soon become the body. At its end, two semicircular lines symmetrical to each other go in both directions. Connect them with a third - and the tail of the representative of the underwater kingdom is ready.

Now, in a smooth motion, connect it to the head, to the upper and lower sides, thereby creating the body. Draw a large fin on the top of the head-circle and a smaller fin on the bottom.

Color the fish yellow or When it dries, make a few longitudinal lines on the tail and fins with a dark pencil. Now you need to decide how to draw the underwater world further - which inhabitant of the sea kingdom will be next.

Turtle

Start drawing this waterfowl by drawing a horizontal oval. This Draw its lower part On the left side of the oval, draw small back flippers. A pair of flippers should also be located on the right, but a little larger in size. Between them is her head on a rather thick neck.

Here's how to draw the underwater world, or rather, first of all its representatives. It remains to complete the image of the turtle. To do this, draw circles, irregular ovals on it with a pencil or felt-tip pen. On the shell they are larger than on the flippers, neck and head. Do not forget to depict her small but keen eye and make the muzzle at the end slightly pointed.

Now cover the shell with brown and the rest of the body with green paint, let it dry and think about how to paint the underwater world further. The photo will help you with this.

crustacean

Let a hermit crab, half out of its shell, slowly move along the bottom of the ocean. First, we create the basis of this representative of the underwater kingdom. Draw an oval in a horizontal plane, narrow its left edge - this is the end of the shell. The other side is open. To show this, on the desired side of the oval, draw a line slightly concave to the left. A curious muzzle of cancer will soon appear from this hole.

In the upper part are its two round eyes, which are fixed on two muscles. On either side of them are two mustaches of a hermit. Also protruding from the shell were its large upper and thinner lower claws. It remains to make the shell twisted, tapering downwards, paint it yellow, and the cancer - scarlet paint, leave the eyeballs white, and draw the pupils with a black pencil, and the drawing is ready.

Shark

Talking about how to draw the underwater world, you can tell about the image of not only quite harmless, but also its ferocious inhabitants.

First draw 2 circles. Place the first, larger one on the right, and the one that is smaller on the left. Connect them at the top and bottom with semicircular lines. The upper curved is the shark's back. The bottom one is slightly concave. This is her belly.

The left small circle is at the beginning of her tail. Finish this part of the drawing by making the end of the tail forked.

Start drawing the details of the muzzle. The big circle is the base of the predator's face. Draw her cunning in it, a little to the left depict a long, pointed and a little shark. In the lower part of the muzzle, place the sharp teeth of the predator using a zigzag line.

Draw the top triangular fin and two pointed ones on the sides. Erase the guide lines. You don't have to paint the shark - it looks impressive anyway. This is an example of how to draw the underwater world with a pencil.

Collecting the drawing

Now that you know how to draw individual representatives of the ocean kingdom, it remains to tell you how to draw the entire underwater world.

According to the principle proposed above, on a piece of paper, first draw several fish. They can be of different colors and sizes. Place a hermit crab at the bottom. The turtle can deftly get away from the shark.

To make the picture of the underwater world more reliable, place plants on the bottom of the ocean, several corals of a bizarre shape. It is better to first depict the fauna of the underwater world. Then you need to paint over the background with blue or blue paint, let it dry. And only then draw corals and plants striving for light. Then the drawing will turn out realistic and irresistible.

Realistic 3D drawings from a Singaporean artist!

Singaporean artist Keng Lai creates teetering 3D works of art depicting the inhabitants of the underwater world. The drawings look so realistic that they can easily be mistaken for photographs of octopuses, turtles, fish and shrimp swimming in small containers.

The master achieves a stunning 3D effect using epoxy resin, acrylic paint and a phenomenal sense of perspective.

Having passed the stage of hyper-realistic painting, Kang's work went beyond its limits and approached sculpture.

Now he is experimenting with the use of additional elements protruding from the picture, adding a new dimension to his three-dimensional painting.

The work of the innovative artist has gained many fans around the world.

The technique in which he works, Keng Lai borrowed from the Japanese artist Riuzuke Fukaori, known for his talent for managing illusion and perspective.

However, the Singaporean did not stop at the classic approach of his inspirer and went further - he forced the representatives of the water world to act above the surface of the tar surface.

This is not another three-dimensional painting, the depth of which can be seen from a certain angle, but rather a sculpture painted with acrylic paints.

The process of creating three-dimensional masterpieces is long and painstaking - Keng Lai slowly fills plates, bowls, buckets or small boxes with alternating layers of acrylic paint and epoxy, which can be applied a huge number of times until a satisfactory effect is achieved.

A labor-intensive task, it requires maximum patience and attention to detail, as all elements of the image must be carefully applied and dried, layer by layer.

The author spends a huge amount of time on each work - on average, a month of daily work.

Keng Lai got acquainted with three-dimensional painting in 2012.

At that time, at the age of 48, he had a degree in graphic design, experience as a production designer in advertising and the creation of his own company, but his development did not end there.

Once Keng saw a video of Riuzuke Fukaori, where he worked real miracles with paint and resin, and decided to repeat the exploits of the Japanese. Initially, all of his illustrations were "flat", and the depth of the image was given by the usual layering of acrylic and resin.

In 2013, the artist became interested in whether he would be able to raise his technique to a higher level and began to experiment with the possibilities of hyper-realistic painting, adding three-dimensional objects to the thickness of the varnish.

So one day he included ordinary small stones in his compositions depicting an octopus and goldfish, and used eggshells as a shell for a turtle.

In general, the idea was to give the work of art even more 3D volume, therefore, from any angle, the picture was presented in the best possible way.

The Singapore craftsman is confident that there are many more methods that can be used in art that lies on the border of painting and sculpture, and is tirelessly exploring them.

Admirers of Mr. Lai's work can only wait for the appearance of new results of his activities.
