Biography

On October 10, 1994, the future singer and actress Bae Soo-ji, best known by her stage name "Suzy", was born in Gwangju, South Korea. She is the second child in the family. She has an older sister, Su Bin, and a younger brother, Sang Moon. When Suzy was a child, her parents, Bae Wan Young and Jeong Hyun Sook, owned a small diner. At that time, they could not provide children with a fabulous childhood, but they gave them no less important things in life - their love and care. Warmed by these feelings, Susie blossomed like a flower in the sun, becoming sweeter and more charming. The whole Woosandong recognized not only the beauty of the "daughter of the diner", but also Suzy's dancing skills.

In 2009, Suzy auditioned for the music show Superstar K. She passed the preliminary selection, but was eliminated in the next stage. However, one of the managers of JYP Entertainment, who also attended the casting in search of new trainees, drew attention to a feminine girl with a bright personality. So Suzy became a trainee at JYP Ent and started preparing for her debut.

A year later, in March 2010, JYP Ent formed the group Miss A, which included Suzy and two other female trainees: Fei and Zhia. After signing an agreement with Samsung Electronics in China, Miss A began their official promotional activities there. Especially for the Samsung Beat Festival, the group recorded the song "Love Again".

Soon they were joined by another member - Ming. In a fully formed group, Suzy got the role of the main vocalist and manne. In July 2010, Miss A made their debut performance in South Korea with the song "Bad Girl Good Girl" from their first mini album "Bad but Good". In September, the group returned with their second mini-album "Step Up". For the promotion of the new album, the song "Breathe" was chosen, which Miss A performed until October. In October, Suzy became the MC of MBC's 'Show! Music Core", where SHINee's Onew and Min Ho, as well as T-ara's Ji Yeon, co-hosted it. In October 2011, Suzy left the show, making way for the next star presenter.

On January 3, 2011, Dream High began airing, where Suzy made her debut as an actress, playing the lead role of Ko Hye Mi, a "cold" and impudent student at the Kirin School of the Arts. Suzy did not immediately agree to play the lead role in the series. She never dreamed of becoming an actress and did not practice acting, so she doubted that she would be able to handle the role well. But in the end, Suzy still accepted the offer to shoot in the series about teenagers and teachers following their dreams. From the first episode, Dream High became one of the ten most popular broadcast series. But despite the fact that the audience warmly received him, Suzy's performance caused a flurry of criticism. The young actress saw negative comments about her acting talent on social media, and although they put a lot of pressure on her, Suzy continued to go all out on set. After the release of the series, Suzy admitted in an interview that she was completely different from her irritable and hating heroine Ko Hye Mi, so it was difficult for her to immediately understand the image. She was also frustrated with herself for not being able to convey her character's desperation in the first episode when Hye Mi, after dropping out of the Kirin audition, knelt down and asked to be accepted into the school. The role of Ko Hye Mi cost Suzy a lot of tears and patience, but in the end brought her two wins at the 2011 KBS Drama Awards: "Best New Actress" and "Best Couple Award" (with Kim Soo Hyun). In the same year, she received two more awards: "Hot New Star" (at the 5th Mnet 20's Choice Awards) and "Most Cute and Gorgeous Lady" (at the 2011 Mnet Media Awards).

The only person who knows about the strange soul transfer is Kil Da Ram, Kyung Joon's teacher and Yoon Jae's fiancée. Some misfortunes are replaced by others, as a more serious and dangerous one appears on the horizon - the sweetest Jang Ma Ri (Suzy) who is in love with Kyung Jun. Korean actress Suzy, whose biography will be told below, is unlikely to become famous for the role of Anna Karenina or Lady Macbeth, but in her niche she is a real superstar. Japanese and Korean dramas, as well as groups in the style of K-pop and J-pop, for some unknown reason, are gaining more and more popularity all over the world, and Korean Bae Suu Kyi represents exactly this trend of modern subculture.

Gwangju girl

Suzy's biography is an example of the story of an ordinary girl who, through hard work on herself and diligence, reached great heights in her chosen business. She was born in 1994 in the city of Gwangju, in Bae Suu Kyi, became the second child of Bei Wang and Yoon Jin. Suzy has an older sister, Soo Bin, and a younger brother, Sun Moon.

The girl's parents owned a small business, which allowed them to stay afloat and raise three children, but the funds were not enough to provide them with a life of luxury. A small diner where the future Korean actress Suzy spent a lot of time as a child, later became a real place of pilgrimage for many admirers of the girl's talent.

Having become famous, she invested in the family business and turned a tiny eatery into a trendy cafe named after her. Thus, Pe Suu Kyi thanked her parents for the care and love that they gave her in childhood.

Suu Kyi is on his way

Before becoming a famous Korean actress, Suzy, the daughter of a diner owner, impressed those around her with her musical and dancing abilities. She sang beautifully, felt the rhythm and melody perfectly, and dreamed of becoming a star in the Korean scene. Friends and relatives advised the modest girl to try her hand at one of the local talent shows, the purpose of which was to grow new local pop stars.

Bae Suu Kyi did not dare to leave the cozy parental home for a long time, but still took a chance and in 2009 went to audition for the Superstar K show - a kind of Korean analogue of the Russian Star Factories. For the first time, Bae found herself in the company of the same bright and talented girls as she was, and she was terribly worried. Suu Kyi successfully passed the qualifying round, but was eliminated at the next stage of the competition.

However, she managed to catch the attention of JYP Entertainment managers, who appreciated the Gwangju native's looks and vocal abilities. The girl became an official trainee of JYP Entertainment and went to a kind of training camp for this production company.

K-pop star

The bigwigs of Korean show business have long treated their business as a well-established industrial production, automation in which is approaching one hundred percent.

Just as the managers of football clubs do not recruit new Messi and Ronaldo on the streets, so the producers of girl and boy pop groups pre-select suitable boys and girls to their training camps, after which they systematically and methodically bring up from the still raw semi-finished products, in which the a spark of individuality, a true benchmark of K-pop.

The same fate befell Suu Kyi, who was given the pseudonym Suzy and began to prepare for the stage. In 2010, the girl pop group Miss A was formed, in which, in addition to Suzy, Fei, Zhia and Ming became members. Suzy got the role of the main girl and the first voice of the group.

The first mini-album Bad but Good was released as a starter, followed by a series of performances around South Korea. The audience liked the new characters, and Suzy became a frequent guest on numerous local TV shows.

Breakthrough on TV

Having won the status of a pop idol, the girl from Gwangju took on the conquest of new heights. According to all the canons of the Korean entertainment industry, she has become a sought-after and desired character for the producers of dramas - oriental soap operas. The first appearance of Korean actress Suzy on the TV screens of the Land of Morning Calm took place in January 2011 in the TV series Dream High.

Here, Bae Suu Kyi played the role of Ko Hye Mi, an irritable and bitchy art school student. The image of the on-screen heroine was diametrically opposed to the character of the sweet and modest Suzy, which immediately caught the eye of even the most inexperienced drama lovers. The series, which tells about teenagers going to their dreams through the difficulties and problems of adolescence, became an instant hit, but the aspiring Korean actress Suzy herself received a flurry of criticism for her unconvincing performance.

The girl herself later admitted that she never wanted to be an actress and only after much persuasion decided on this experience. Suzy also agreed that it was difficult for her to bring to life the image of Ko Hye Mi, as she had difficulty understanding her motives, desires, problems.

However, the Miss A star dutifully got down to business and gradually rectified the situation, deserving the award for the best new female drama actress.

Exit to the big screens

In 2012, the filmography of Korean actress Suzy was replenished with the first feature film. Her debut on the big screens was the role in the film "Introduction to Architecture". Here the girl appeared in the image of the main character of the film So Yeon in her youth.

The romantic drama was about a love story that began between students at an architectural academy and ended abruptly before resuming years later. Handkerchiefs for sensitive Korean women sold out with a bang in all the cinemas, which were drowned in torrents of tears. The eternal story of first love became a local mega hit and brought Korean actress Suzy several more awards. She was recognized as the best newcomer actress of the big screen, the "hot" novelty, the "icon of the undying first love" and other exotic Korean epithets.

Star

It is difficult to find a more popular character in the entertainment industry in South Korea than an actor. Bae Xuzi became a local idol, her phones bursting with offers from television producers. The next stage in the girl's career was the series "Big".

A mystical plot revolving around the story of the transmigration of souls riveted every tenth Korean to the screens, who did not tear themselves away from the adventures of the main characters throughout the cycle. Suzy herself played the role of the fatal girl - the cutest and most dangerous Chan Ma Ri.

In between filming, Bae Suu Kyi continues to collaborate with the group Miss A, whose popularity has only increased after the acting exploits of the main soloist. Having won the hearts of Koreans, the cute girls went to neighboring China, where they gave a series of performances for the local audience, presenting their new album.

Personal life

The relationship between Korean actress Suzy and Lee Min Ho, her colleagues in the acting industry, was the main topic for gossip sections of all local yellow publications. In 2015, the agents of both artists officially confirmed the connection between the stars.

However, nothing lasts forever under the moon, and the beautiful story ended pretty quickly. Not so long ago, Suzy's PR managers published a message about the breakup between their client and the unlucky Lee Min Ho.
