How to cook a snail pie with cheese and ham

  1. First, let's prepare our filling. To do this, rub the cheese and ham coarsely.
  2. Now let's take a test. Having defrosted in advance, we roll out the basis of future baking into a thin rectangular "canvas" 2-3 mm thick. Sprinkle a little flour if necessary.
  3. Cut the dough into 4 long and equal strips. We spread the ham on each blank, leaving free space on the sides.
  4. Generously sprinkle the ham with cheese chips.
  5. Slightly stretching the edges of the dough and pressing down on the filling, carefully “glue” each strip, hiding the cheese and ham inside. As a result, we get 4 long "sausages".
  6. Having covered the baking sheet with parchment, we lay the first tourniquet in the form of a dense spiral (the seam should be at the bottom).
  7. Lay out the next blank around the first flagellum. Thus, in the form of a spiral, we form the entire cake (do not forget that the seams should be from the bottom). To get an appetizing ruddy shade, grease our “snail” with a beaten raw egg. As a decoration, you can sprinkle the product with sesame seeds (both black and white will do).
  8. We send the semi-finished product to the oven. A snail pie with cheese and ham is baked for about 20-30 minutes. The optimum temperature is 180-190 degrees.
  9. This airy and delicate pastry is especially good when warm, although you can eat the cake completely cooled if you wish.

The meat pie "Snail" got its name because of the colorful appearance, because its preparation is laid out in the form of a spiral, and then smeared with yolk and baked in the oven. Baking is so attractive and fragrant that no one can resist trying it. The pie is prepared in just half an hour if you have ready-made puff pastry available, which is not difficult to purchase in advance at any frozen store. You need to cook pastries only from thawed dough, so thaw it before creating the dish to room temperature. Minced meat can be used beef, lamb, chicken or pork, but always with a low fat content so that the pastries do not taste dry.

Ingredients

  • 500 g minced meat
  • 1 pack puff pastry (500 g)
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 egg

Cooking

1. Purchase or prepare minced meat in advance by grinding it through a meat grinder with the addition of 1-2 peeled onions, salt and ground black pepper. Roll out the defrosted puff pastry into a rectangular layer, lightly dusting the surface of the desktop with flour. Cut the layer into strips about 8-10 cm wide in length.

2. Lay the minced meat in the middle of each ribbon along the length, being careful not to spread it too much, otherwise you will not be able to roll the ribbons. By the way, the most vivid taste of the pie is given by lamb or beef fillings! Then connect the edges of each ribbon to make long, thin, stuffed dough sausages.

3. Lubricate the form with butter or vegetable oil and put the twisted sausages from the dough in a spiral, trying not to leave any gaps between them.

4. Beat the chicken egg in a cup and grease the surface of the pie with it with a culinary brush. For the same purpose, you can use not the whole egg, but only the yolk, leaving the protein for another recipe. Place the mold or baking sheet in the oven at 220C and bake the cake for about 40 minutes. If the surface of the pastry is browned before it is baked in the middle, then cover it with parchment paper or foil.

We need to take a plate of puff pastry, cheese, parsley or dill, chicken egg, sunflower oil and sesame seeds.

Crack an egg and add to the filling. Part of the yolk must be left to lubricate the surface of the cake. Grind the greens into the filling. It is allowed to use fresh dill, fresh parsley or all together at the request of the hostess. Cheese with herbs must be mixed.

Defrost a plate of puff-yeast dough. Divide with a “cheburek” knife into three strips.

Roll each strip into a long ribbon. To make the ribbons even, and to make the dough molding convenient, use the curly knife for cutting chebureks again. In the center of each ribbon you need to distribute the cheese filling.

We connect the edges of the tape together along the entire length and lightly press to the center.

Consists of simple products, prepared very quickly.

Any filling can be used. As sweet (fruits, berries, jam, marmalade, etc.), as well as unsweetened.

Ingredients

- 1 PC. eggs;

- 100 g of low-fat ham;

- 100 g of cheese;

- 300 g of puff pastry;

- 1-2 teaspoons of sesame seeds (optional).

Recipe

Ham and cheese should be grated on a coarse grater. Defrost the dough ahead of time. We sip a little flour on the table and roll out the puff pastry into layers 2-3 mm thick.

Divide the dough into 4 strips of equal width and length. I use a pizza cutter in such cases. On each strip of dough we put grated ham, then cheese. Lay out so that there is free space on the sides.

Slightly stretching the edges of the dough and pressing the filling, pinch and connect the edges. We should get four long sausages.

We lay parchment on a baking sheet and seam down, lay the first spiral from the “sausage”.

Lay the next "sausage" around the first, continuing the coil. Such a spiral needs to form the whole cake. Important! The seams should be on the bottom.

To make our cake browned, you need to grease with a beaten egg. Optionally, sprinkle with sesame seeds on top.

We heat the oven to 180-190 degrees Celsius and send our snail pie to bake for 20-30 minutes.

  • flour (any kind) - 3 cups.

Cooking process

  1. Pour the flour in the right amount into a deep bowl. Add vanilla and oil. Salt. We add kefir. Mix the ingredients with a fork. What's next? Knead the dough by hand. It should be soft and elastic. In this case, you do not need to remove the dough on the middle shelf of the refrigerator. Immediately roll it into a layer, the thickness of which should not exceed 3-4 mm. It is very important.
  2. Cut the dough sheet into strips. The width of each of them is 6-7 cm.

  1. Rinse fresh cherries with tap water. Be sure to remove the bones. We spread the berries in the middle of each strip of dough. It turns out a kind of "snake". Sprinkle the cherry with sugar.
  2. Carefully pinch the strips. Now they look like thin rolls.
  3. We take a baking dish. Coat the bottom with oil. Lay the strips with sweet cherry filling in a snail shape.
  4. We heat up the oven. Recommended temperature - 180 °C. We send the form together with the contents to the oven. Pie "Snail" (with cherries) will be baked for 40 minutes.

Grocery set:

  • 200 g of hard and soft cheese;
  • one egg;
  • sesame seeds;
  • 0.5 kg of puff pastry (sold in the store);
  • mayonnaise - enough 3 tbsp. l.

Detailed instructions:

Step number 1. Grind hard cheese (for example, "Russian") on a grater. As long as we put it aside. Soft cheese (let it be "Adyghe") is also grated. What are the next steps? We combine two types of cheese. Drizzle with mayonnaise. We mix.

Step number 2. Defrost puff pastry. It is advisable to take a yeast-free product. On a table sprinkled with flour, roll out the dough into a rectangular layer. Then cut it into long strips (width - 6 cm).

Step number 3. We return to the bowl with the cheese mass. We lay out the prepared filling strictly in the center of each strip, along its entire length. We make "rolls" by lifting the edges to the middle and fastening them from above.

Step number 4. We cover the baking sheet with parchment. We spread the "rolls", moving from the center, in a spiral. The result is a snail. It remains to grease all this with whipped yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Step number 5. The Snail Pie will be baked in the oven at 180 ° C. This process will take half an hour. Fragrant dessert with a golden crust can be served on the table.

  • Don't be afraid to experiment with different types of cheese. The more unusual combinations for you, the better. For the preparation of this pie, the use of cottage cheese is allowed. Just don't forget to lightly salt it.

  • two eggs,

  • refined oil - 4 tbsp. l.;
  • a glass of milk (medium fat);
  • flour - 750 g.

For stuffing:

  • 0.6 kg of beef liver;
  • yeast - 10 g will be enough;
  • medium bulb;
  • 100 gram piece of butter;
  • one carrot;
  • favorite spices;
  • 50 g hard cheese.

Practical part

  1. First, let's dilute the yeast using warm milk. Add sugar to the same bowl. Let the mixture brew for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Break one egg into the bowl containing the yeast. Salt. We add 2 tbsp. l. oils. We mix.
  3. Now add flour. Let's start kneading the dough. When it is ready, cut into several pieces. Each of them should be rolled out. We leave the pieces for a while so that they rise a little.
  4. Let's do the stuffing. We wash a piece of liver in running water. Be sure to remove large veins and films. Cut the liver into large pieces.
  5. Grind the washed and peeled carrots with a grater. Onions can be cut into cubes.
  6. Pour 1 tbsp into the multibowl. l. oils. We spread the pieces of the liver, chopped carrots and onions. Salt. Sprinkle with your favorite spices. We find in the menu and start the "Extinguishing" mode. Recommended time - 60 min. As soon as the beep sounds, transfer the liver and vegetables to a blender for subsequent grinding. The result is a paste. Add a piece of butter to it. Turn on the blender again.
  7. We roll out one part of the dough into a layer. Spread on it Sprinkle with grated cheese. Carefully roll the filling into the dough. We fasten it around the edges. You need to make 3 such sausages.
