A new scandal broke out in show business - on the eve of the MusicBox music awards, a number of artists received calls with a "strong recommendation" not to appear at the ceremony. The calls came from employees of the Russian Media Group. This was reported to SUPER by sources on the MusicBox channel.

Previously, similar calls were made to artists on the eve of the award of the Muz-TV channel. Also, RMG has recently been famous for unexpected censorship - for example, last month, Philip Kirkorov’s video “Mood Color Blue” was exposed to it, in which rapper Timati was retouched on RU.TV, who allegedly had a conflict with the Kiselev family.
Also, one of the main reasons for the discord is called the long-standing accounts of the owners of RMG and MusicBox, the latter allegedly refuse to put in rotation the clips of Vladimir Kiselev's wife and sons - YurKiss, Vladimir and Elena Sever. In addition, according to Palinova, Kiselev has been planning to appropriate the channel for himself for a long time.
The owner of our company had a conversation with Kiselev about the transfer of management of the MusicBox TV channel to Kiselev. I understand that the director refused and, perhaps, because of this, everything is happening. Moreover, I talked with Sergey Baldin (an RMG employee - Ed.), he himself told me: “Natasha, I am a hostage of the situation, take it as it is, the task is to disrupt your event! All!"
According to the stories of the artists who found themselves "between two fires", the program director of RU.TV, Mikhail Bogomolov, plays a key role in the situation. Even from a brief performance at the "Oberig" festival, one can understand that these musicians - a mysterious barefoot vocalist and a percussionist full of external and internal harmony - have learned something from the "music of the world" and are able to convey it to us. I don't even talk about Inna Zhelannaya, whose music in cosmic electronic processing reaches an almost existential, at times frightening depth. By the way, it was Inna Zhelannaya who received the Russian World Music Awards for the best experimental project, although I got the feeling that the foreign part of the jury did not understand who Inna was and what she was doing.
The award for the best authentic project went to touching bright-eyed grandfathers from Nerekhta Horn Choir. The musicians spoke enthusiastically about their instruments, and it was noticeable that they proudly bore the burden of keeping the tradition. Horn music is original, although I would say that it is rather unusual for the urban listener. Particularly interesting is the combination of horn music and voice, which seems to take us from the capital to the pre-revolutionary, abundant and real Russian village.
Audience Award won Robert Yuldashev and Kuraisa's group performing dynamic ethnic music inspired by the Bashkir epic. Listen to the drums of Kuraisa and you will hear a herd of horses, a passionate call inviting you to look into eastern antiquity. An international team was chosen as the best ethnic project at the festival Authentic Light Orchestra. In the music of this orchestra, the Armenian duduk supplanted the saxophone and took the leading place in the performance of measured ethno-jazz.
The meeting of all these extraordinary musicians was helped to create by a small group of enthusiasts, who, like piranhas, were attacked by fair criticism from the crowd. But, as they say, if the stars are lit, then someone needs it: it is definitely necessary - both for the musician and the grateful spectator. Everything worthwhile starts small, and I want to believe that the Russian World Music Awards will develop into a major project and find its fans.
