Drawing improves fine motor skills, eye measurement, coordination, promotes the development of mindfulness and visual memory. And do not worry that you do not have enough talent. The basis of almost any picture is a pencil sketch. Therefore, to begin with, you only need white rough paper (not glossy), a soft eraser and a few simple pencils of different markings (hard, soft, medium) to create tonal spots, effects and lines of varying intensity.

We perform the drawing of a fir cone in stages. With a gray felt-tip pen, we begin drawing a diagram on drawing paper, then we continue the work with felt-tip pens of other colors.
On a sheet of paper for drawing, draw an oval with a gray felt-tip pen with a narrowing downwards. From above we draw the outline of the fastening cap.
With a gray felt-tip pen, we draw oblique lines inside the image in a cross direction - we mark the scales of the cone.

4. Darken the drawing and select areas of shadow and light. We use watercolors of the same shades that were used earlier, adding a new green with a more saturated color. We lay strokes on a branch and paint over the bump in its darkest areas.
5. We darken and saturate the drawing with a cone and a pine branch even more. We use a large amount of green watercolor with a minimal amount of brown. Also water when mixing paints should also be minimal.
6. We are waiting for the drawing to dry completely and now you can add hatching and a thin contour with liners of different thicknesses. We draw needles on a branch with simple lines.

For beginners in drawing, in order to reproduce the drawing, we offer a drawing technique using circles and ovals. To sketch the drawing you will need a simple pencil:
Stage 1. The basis of the cone will be an elongated oval, inside which we will place the scales. Carefully draw an oval. The oval should be symmetrical.
Stage 2. In the upper part of the oval (find the upper center point), draw a small arc inside, connecting the side parts of the oval. The beginning of scales is necessary. The rest will depart from the first scale.
Stage 3. Draw the scales carefully, tightly so that they are as uniform as possible. Slightly wind the side parts beyond the contours of the oval. Looking at the bump, we see that its coating is wavy.
Stage 4. We continue to apply semicircles. Closer to the center, we increase the size of the plates, slightly expanding the space between them. The cone blooms in the same way as a flower bud, and it is not entirely correct to depict the scales in the same range. There is nothing ideal in nature. The scales in the center of the cone are different in size. Try to distribute them slightly unevenly (one more, the other a little less).
Stage 5. Going down to the bottom of the cone, we reduce the scales in size and compact them. On the very bottom of the plate, draw very small and slightly pointed. Do not wind the pencil outside the oval.

The last stage of our creative lesson is coloring. It is impossible not to notice that both the scales of the cones and the needles of the branch have different shades.
For coloring, choose a convenient material. It can be - colored pencils, watercolors, colored crayons. We begin to decorate the cone. We shade the scales with several tones of brown.
