Drawing of a horse from the fairy tale Sivka Burka. Sivka-burka (another version)

26.06.2019

I want to invite you to draw the fabulous Sivka-burka in stages with a pencil, adhering to the following scheme:

First start your drawing by sketching in circles for the body and head. Now connect these circles with smooth smooth lines. Start drawing up the legs and mane. Then draw the elements of the face. Draw the lower limbs and other details.

But you can still draw a Sivka-burka according to this scheme:

In the Russian folk tale Sivka-burka, one of the main characters is a horse with the same name Sivka-burka. This is that magical horse that trampled the wheat of Ivan the Fool and his relatives at night, whom Ivan the Fool caught and which later many times rescued Ivan, the old man's son.

Draw Sivka-burka with a pencil step by step You can do it as shown in the example below:

Sivka-burka, the prophetic kaurka is found in Russian folklore. This is a faithful friend and assistant to the youngest son of Ivanushka the Fool. If we turn to the text of the fairy tale, then Sivka-burka is a strong and solid horse, which also has magical abilities, it will help in work and help out of trouble:

To draw such a horse, we divide a sheet of paper into three equal parts with horizontal straight lines. Draw two circles on the middle line: one is slightly smaller (this will be the chest of the horse).

Then we connect the circles with smooth lines: these will be the belly and back of the horse. We draw him a proudly raised neck. We begin to draw the horse's head from a round cheek, then the horse's muzzle tapers slightly. We outline the legs of Sivka-burka.

Then we move on to the details: we draw hooves, ears, eyes and nostrils. The ear, eye and nostril of the horse are depicted on the same line, the eye is located closer to the ear.

In kindergarten, and often at school, children are asked to draw an illustration for a fairy tale. At a young age, it is difficult to objectively assess your strengths, so often a child chooses a difficult topic. For example, he wants to draw a mermaid, a hero or Sivka-Burka. Many parents are lost and do not even know how to help. Therefore, today in the article we will answer the question: how to draw Sivka-Burka with a pencil?

Character history

Before answering the question "How to draw Sivka-Burka?", You need to get to know the character better. This may seem strange to adults, because horses are all the same, well, maybe they differ a little in size. But it's not.

A fairy tale that has a folk origin is always allegorical. After all, it was with her help that children were taught and initiated into the complex system of pagan religion. Previously, it was believed that the horse is a guide to other worlds. And if you take a closer look, the fairy tale refers to the fact that the horse is not entirely real, it is rather a spirit, one might say, the patron of the family. Where is this mentioned? The perspicacious reader understands that horses of such a complex color, where gray, brown, and even brown are mixed, simply do not happen in life. In the fairy tale, thus, they demonstrated that the animal belongs to the third generation of owners. So what color is the horse?

Today, not all adults know what kind of strange colors were used to designate a horse, but it’s not worth talking about children. They will not be able to understand without explanation that the description of the horse uses its color characteristics. Gray is white-gray, brown is dark brown, and brown is red.

Making a sketch

How to draw Sivka-Burka step by step with a pencil? You need to start with a sketch. First of all, we outline the so-called overall container on paper, within which we will draw our character. This is also necessary so that in the process of work the picture does not become very small.

Having outlined the dimensions, we proceed to the designation of the parts of the horse. We outline the head, torso and croup in circles. We designate the line of the legs and neck. The main thing at this stage is not to draw a horse along the contour, but to build it. Since if the proportions are violated, there will be no point in further work.

How to draw Sivka-Burka so that he looks like a realistic horse? For this, it is necessary to trace the plasticity of the lines.

The horse is one of the most graceful animals in the world. Therefore, you need to connect the parts of the drawing with one line, without lifting the pencil from the paper.

We are working on a sketch of a horse

We continue to disassemble how to draw Sivka-Burka. We already have a pencil sketch, now we will work on the details. First you need to draw the main parts of the animal, such as the head, neck, torso and legs. Do not start working with the eyes or ears. Such small details can "move out" during the drawing process if you decide to slightly change the rotation of the horse's head.

It is better to build an image of an animal, sticking to any of its photographs, since drawing an image from the head is not a good idea. Most of us do not have the opportunity to admire a horse every day, so our imagination can play a trick on us. Having worked out the body of the horse, we can move on to small details. These should be eyes, nose, ears, mane and tail.

Hatching

After we have drawn Sivka-Burka with a pencil, we can move on to hatching. The style of the work will depend on it. If we start shading the whole horse, and then select the light with an eraser, and apply shadows with a soft pencil, we get a fairly realistic drawing of a horse.

If this is what you want to achieve, then you can act in this way.

But still, remember that we are drawing a fairy-tale character, which is why when creating it, you need to use fantasy. For example, draw stars in the mane and tail or equip the horse with fabulous horseshoes. But in any case, it is simply necessary to give the animal a little volume so that Sivka-Burka is not one-dimensional.

Draw in cartoon style

How to draw Sivka-Burka in stages, if you do not adhere to realism? It cannot be said that cartoon characters are drawn according to different rules than realistic animals. After all, a horse in a cartoon will not be recognizable if its legs are three times shorter, and its neck, on the contrary, is longer. Animation is somewhat similar to a cartoon: here you can distort the shape, but breaking the basic proportions of the body is a taboo.

To give Sivka-Burka more fabulousness, you can even at the first stage make his neck and legs longer, and his head smaller. But you must be aware that this is done intentionally, and not because it just happened.

If you decide to draw Sivka-Burka in a cartoon style, then it is advisable to add color to the drawing. It will be completely justified. If you are drawing with a pencil and do not want to use paints, you can color the drawing with pastels or colored pencils. Brightness in this case will not hurt at all, but on the contrary, it will make the work more unique. To prevent soft material from staining other works, the final touch will be to fix the lead or pastel. You need to use a special varnish. If this is not available on the farm, any hairspray will do.

Sivka-burka (detail)
“The old man had three sons: two smart ones, and the third Ivanushka the Fool; day and night the fool lies on the stove.
The old man sowed wheat, and rich wheat grew, and someone got into the habit of crushing and poisoning that wheat at night. Here the old man says to the children:
- My dear children, guard the wheat every night in turn, catch me a thief.
The first night arrives. The eldest son went to guard the wheat, but he wanted to sleep: he climbed into the hayloft and slept until morning. He comes home in the morning and says: he didn’t sleep all night, he was cold, but he didn’t see the thief.
On the second night, the middle son went and also slept all night in the hayloft.
On the third night, it's the fool's turn to go. He took the lasso and went. He came to the border and sat on a stone: he sits - does not sleep, the thief is waiting.
At midnight, a motley horse galloped into the wheat: one hair is golden, the other is silver, it runs - the earth trembles, smoke pours out of its ears, flames blaze from its nostrils. And that horse began to eat wheat: not so much eating as trampling.
The fool crept up on all fours to the horse and at once threw a lasso around his neck. The horse rushed with all his might - it was not there. The fool rested, the lasso presses his neck. And here the horse of the fool began to pray:
- Let me go, Ivanushka, and I will do you a great service!
"Good," replies Ivan the Fool. - Yes, how can I find you then?
- Go outside the outskirts, - says the horse, - whistle three times and shout: "Sivka-burka, prophetic kaurka! Stand in front of me, like a leaf in front of grass!" - I'll be here.
Ivanushka the Fool let go of the horse and took a word from him - there is no more wheat and no more trampling ...

Conversation (quotes from the Internet and printed publications)
The horse has long been in Rus' the personification of the power of the Sun. And as a solar animal, he had two guises: Sivka (i.e. gray - gray, white), which appears in the Sky in winter, and Burka (red), embodying the summer Sun. On Russian icons, the horse is almost always either completely white or fiery red.
What color do you think our fairy horse was? All artists draw it differently. What are these colors - gray, brown, brown? How to put them on the palette? Let's try to figure it out.

Sivka - gray, gray, silver, white.
Burka - brown, dark red.
Kaurka - brown, light chestnut.
Three colors at once - miracles!

What does the word prophetic mean? Prophetic, knowing, knowing - wise, foreseeing the future. And in Russian fairy tales, the horse often helps his master - he tells the way, helps out in difficult situations.

Practical work:

Choose a color for the horse. With a colored background, the horse can be white or light gray (in apples), on a white sheet - light brown, reddish, buffy. We discuss with the children their choice, we advise, if necessary, correct.
1

Draw a rectangle of the torso with a round bristle brush No. 2 or 3. We round the short sides, paint over. For some pupils, this stage (drawing a rectangle) can be performed by a teacher. The rectangle determines the scale of the drawing, and if you draw it too small or too large, the horse may “get lost” on the sheet or even not fit.
2

Add a small oval head, slightly arched neck, triangular ears and paint over everything too. In order to make the silhouette more expressive, you can bend the lower lip of the horse, depicting a neigh.

3
We draw the left legs closest to us - front and back. To begin with, we set for each approximately in the middle a fold point - a joint. Sivka's legs will be slightly bent. Up to the knee, the leg is strong, dense, it has a lot of muscles. It is drawn in two lines, after the knee joint - in one line.

4
The right legs (both front and back) are raised off the ground. We depict them in this movement and paint over.

5
We draw a mane, tail and hooves with scarlet or red paint (you can use orange and yellow). You can use the same brush, bristle, or you can take a softer one (pony, squirrel, goat)

6
Draw a line of grass under the left hooves standing on the ground. We take for this light green shades. In the sky we draw the sun and curly or just oval clouds.

7
Add dark green grass bushes. We make them with a soft brush using the priming method. With a slightly damp brush, blur the outer edges of the clouds.
