Each of us is familiar with the legendary performers of rock and roll. Surely this phrase is always associated with the greatest musician and legend of this style, the name of which is Elvis Presley.

Rap as a musical direction originated in the last century, or rather in the early 70s, he appeared in the Bronx. To date, rap has firmly taken a position in the musical work of all countries. Rap is most famous in Russia, America, France, but there are also German rap artists, just a few know them.

In recent years, Italian performers of the 80s have become more and more welcome guests at any celebration. This is not at all surprising, because it is they who have a wonderful sound and performance. We all know a huge number of foreign bands that for a long time fell into various charts, as a result of which they became very popular in the world of music. And not only in the territory of their homeland, but also in the vastness of Russia, where the Italian performers of the 80s were able to acquire many zealous fans.

The origin of rap as a musical style took place in the Bronx area of New York, in the 70s of the last century. The first performers who introduced the public to this musical direction were African Americans. But few people know that it was brought to America by Jamaican DJs. Rap- translates as a blow, knock, talk, talk. The best rap performers in Russia also know how to “speak, talk” well to the music.

Blues rock has always been considered an exotic, alternative genre and born out of bold experiments. The hybrid musical direction is a bold improvisation, a mixture of blues motifs and rock and roll compositions. The first blues-rock performers became famous for their very complex and lengthy improvisations, close to jazz.

Many people remember their childhood and youth with nostalgia. That is why performers of the 80-90s (Russians) are popular. The list can be continued almost endlessly. Indeed, at that time there were many acting singers of different genres. They have been basking in success for many years. There were also those whose fame faded after one hit. Here are some short lists of artists who were popular in the eighties and nineties.

Performers of songs of 80-90 years (Russian): list of men

At this time there were many singers who became famous thanks to the performance of several hits. In the first list, we did not include men who are now veterans of the scene and continue to tour actively. We will only talk about those who are currently undeservedly forgotten, although many of these singers are trying to repeat their past success:

These are not all popular performers of the 80-90s (Russian). The list is almost endless. We chose only the brightest stars of that time, ignoring the talented Zhenya Belousov and Evgeny Osin. To this day, such singers as Philip Kirkorov, Valery Leontiev and Oleg Gazmanov perform.

Russian performers of the 80-90s: a list of women

The stage of that time was almost 70% composed of women. In those years, the country was heard by the songs of Irina Allegrova and Tatyana Bulanova. Dance hits were performed by Lada Dance. Soulful songs with a folk touch belonged to Nadezhda Kadysheva and her namesake Nadezhda Babkina.

The hits were sung by Russian performers of the 80s and 90s. The list consisted of people who made their way only due to their talent, and of those in whose "promotion" a lot of money was invested. Alsou and Lena Zosimova were called the "golden" children of show business of those years. These singers were promoted at the expense of their fathers, although it cannot be said that they did not have talent. The singers of one hit were Marina Khlebnikova and Natalie. Although the latter recently released a new song that conquered the whole country - the hit "Oh God, what a man!".

The most famous bands of the 80-90s

The real breakthrough at that time was the success of the Laskovy May group. This first boy band broke a lot of girls' hearts. On tour, the team collected stadiums. Several line-ups of the group even traveled around the country, the singers in which were remotely similar to the original performers. By analogy with this group, many singers began to perform under the soundtrack.

There were other successful performers of the 80-90s (Russians). The list of groups, for example, looks incomplete without mentioning Bari Alibasov's Na-na project. The team captivated the audience with its sexuality. Boys sometimes performed in costumes consisting of a single bunch of bananas. In addition to these brightest groups, the country in those years listened to the songs of the following bands: “Combination”, “Kar-men”, “Hands Up”, “Nancy”, “Gaza”, “Russian Size” and “Inveterate Scammers”. Many of these groups subsequently broke up and gave rise to solo projects.

It is well known that the appearance in the West of such groups as the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Scorpions had a huge impact on both world and domestic pop music culture. The difference lies in the fact that Western bands, starting their careers, started to float freely, choosing the recording studios that suited them the most. In the USSR, the situation was much more complicated. The legendary Russian rock originates in the late 60s and early 70s and becomes almost a dominant trend. Almost every school, both in large and small cities, has its own rock band or vocal-instrumental ensemble (hereinafter referred to as VIA). The most talented of the guys receive a good musical education and dream of starting a professional career. This is where the difficulties begin. The fact is that official VIAs have the opportunity to record discs at the Melodiya monopoly studio, give concerts, and participate in television programs. But they do not have the right to perform their own songs if they are not members of the Union of Composers. Rock bands sing whatever they want, but do not get venues for performances and are forced to release their music as samizdat, give concerts in apartments and in provincial clubs remote from cities. Such well-known rock bands as "Time Machine", "Slavs", "Scythians", "Skomorokhi" went through this. The censorship was the strictest. You could easily fall under the article, for unauthorized concerts. No matter what, musical groups in this difficult time for Russian music are growing like mushrooms. Such truly remarkable groups appear - as “Gems”, “Ariel”, “Merry Fellows”, “Flowers”, “Earthlings”, etc. The lyrical compositions of these groups are amazing: they are simple and at the same time piercingly melodic. No wonder they are loved and remembered to this day. So in the 70s VIA and rock bands exist in parallel, whose members often run from one camp to another and back. The 80s are famous for the fact that at that time 1 rock club appeared in Leningrad and even real rock festivals began to be held. The purpose of these events is a kind of streamlining of the rock movement, which at times is really out of control. The TV show "Musical Ring" appears, in which some rock groups are allowed to perform. The second powerful wave of Russian rock is rolling in: the rock Olympus of the Kino, Alisa and others literally blow up. The style of their performance is defined as “new way”. Agatha Christie starts playing her famous psychedelic music. At the peak of popularity - "Nautilus Pompilius" and "Zoo". Time passes, the order in the country is changing. Rock musicians even manage to take part in the filming of films, which, by the way, are very good and later became cult (“Needle”, “Assa”, “Burglar”). Separate VIA and rock groups are still successfully performing, gathering large halls. They also perform new compositions, talented and professional. But for some reason, the frantic delight of the audience is already a million times listened to songs. It seems that all the best musicians created in the Soviet era.
