For the 16th time, Luzhniki hosted a group of Moskovsky Komsomolets readers to celebrate the 33rd birthday of the newspaper, whose circulation has long exceeded 2 million copies.

I smoothly move to the pop platform "Europe Plus & Soundtrack". Here, as usual, all the cream. Scandals began at the entrance! The fact is that the local guards did not recognize the Propaganda group. Members of the trio Willy Star, Mad and JSG were so ugly dressed, just like street girls. If not for their producer, they would stand by the wall until the end of the concert!

In 2002, singer Marina Simanovskaya, known by her stage name Marusya, died of cancer in Russia, a member of the White Chocolate female hip-hop group and Decl's friend, who sang the famous Letter with him.
In memory of her, the bands "Not Married" and "Daiquiri" recorded the song "For You". The Propaganda group also took part in the dedication.

Three soloists of the Propaganda group - Vika Petrenko, Vika Voronina and Yulia Garanina - became widely known to the public in the early 2000s. This happened largely due to their bright appearance and charismatic performance. But not without the help of producer Sergei Izotov, the Propaganda group attracted the attention of a multi-million Russian audience.

How it all began...

Before the girls gained popularity, they had to endure a lot of disappointments and difficulties. I had to make a living by performing at Christmas trees. The girls worked as clowns and life-size puppets, and hung around on the old Arbat, singing their own songs.

A. Kozin, the director of a well-known recording studio, accidentally drew attention to one of these performances. A few days later, the Propaganda group was introduced to them by producer S. Izotov. He helped the team record the first hit and "brought" it to the big stage. So the composition "Chalk" became known to the general public.

Line-up change

But it was not easy to hold out in one team in the harsh conditions of show business. At one of the performances, the audience noticed that the Propaganda group had changed its composition. Instead of three girls, two appeared on the stage, and one of them was completely unknown. The fans were told that Victoria Petrenko left the group, as a result of a split and “inconsistency” with the moral character of pop stars.

After her, Julia left the team. As expected, the updated Propaganda group, whose composition has changed, has also changed its image.

New girls - Olga Moreva and Irina Yakovleva - worked on their appearance, worked on new songs and recorded their first album with great difficulty.

At the top of popularity

The album appeared in 2002 and was called "Kids". It was followed by a remix album. The Propaganda group climbed to the top of the charts. New videos, songs, tours led to the fact that the soloists began to be recognized, their hits were increasingly heard on the air of popular radio stations. 2003 was one of the most successful, at that time another album, So Be It, appeared. The enormous popularity of Ira, Vika and Olya was brought by the song of the group "Propaganda" called "Super Baby". A video was filmed on it and a colorful disc was released, the songwriter for which was the soloist Vika Voronina. In 2004, the group won the Golden Gramophone for the song Yay-Ya.

Since the beginning of its existence, the group has already released 7 albums, toured Russia and beyond with tours. But the "star disease" of one of the participants again led to a change in the composition. Deciding to start a solo career, in 2011 Vika Voronina left the team, her place was taken by Vika Bogoslovskaya (one of the participants in the "Star Factory"). Sang with Ira and Olya no more than six months, and she left them. And in July 2012, Maria Nedelkova joined the Propaganda group.

Constant work on images, experiments with the disco style, bright attractive appearance of the participants, talented performance allow you to stay afloat in the tough Russian show business. And today you can hear hits performed by the new line-up, which, according to critics, is in no way inferior to the original.

The Propaganda group was founded in 2001. Three teenage girls came to the well-known, at that time, producer Sergei Izotov and said that they had wonderful songs and they wanted to become famous. They were Vika Voronina, Vika Petrenko and Yulia Garanina. The producer really liked the songs and he began to record songs with the girls. During the work, it turned out that of all three, only Vika Voronina can sing, so “recitative parts” were written for the rest. Thus was born its own style of "Propaganda", but in this composition the team lasted less than a year. Soon after the release of the first album, as Vika Voronina recalls, the girls were overwhelmed by star disease and the producer was forced to part with two of them. For some time, several brighter participants claimed their place, to whom increased demands were made in terms of vocals. As a result, Katya Oleinikova (2002-2003), Olga Moreva (2002-2006) and Ira Yakovleva (2003-2009) worked for a long time in the team. There was a turn in the work of the Propaganda group - the rejection of recitative parts and the transition to professional lyrical vocals. In addition, the fourth member appears in the team - a musician, saxophonist Dasha.
In 2007, all rights to the Propaganda group are transferred to the new producer Sergei Ivanov, who worked with the team until that moment as a director. Only Vika Voronina and Ira Yakovleva keep their places in the group of four participants, Maria Bukatar joins them. It is from this moment that the group begins to perform exclusively live, without the use of a voice phonogram. The tour schedule of the Propaganda group includes 10-15 concerts every month, and the girls' days free from touring are almost daily rehearsals of vocals and choreography.
Not everyone can withstand such a schedule, and in 2010 Victoria Voronina leaves the team, who dreams of finding time for solo work. And a little earlier, in 2009, instead of Ira Yakovleva, a new participant appeared - Anastasia Shevchenko.

The group has a large number of national music awards ("Golden Gramophone", "Song of the Year", "Stopudov Hit", "Major League", "Silver Disc", "Bomb of the Year" and many others) and is a laureate of many television festivals and competitions.
Over the years of its existence, the group has released a large number of hits, such compositions as "Chalk", "Who", "Nobody", "So be it", "Rain on the roofs", "5 minutes", "Yai-ya", "Super -Baby "and" Quanto Costa "headed various charts of radio stations and TV channels for weeks.
In 2010, the song "You Know", the composer of which is Alexander Yankovsky, became such a hit. This track spent several weeks on the top lines of the DFM chart, and the video for this song is still on the air of music TV channels.
From that moment on, Alexander Yankovsky and Sergey Ivanov became the main authors of subsequent tracks. This creative union brings success.
The Propaganda group, consisting of Masha Bukatar and Nastya Shevchenko, continues to delight its fans with new dance compositions and regular concerts.
In 2011, the track was released and at the same time the video clip "I am like that", which hit the DFM chart and gained more than 10 million views on YouTube. Then the group releases the album "You Know", where one of the tracks "Naberu" also appears on the air on some radio stations.
At the beginning of 2013, the tracks "Girlfriend" and "I wrote love" were released. Video clips have also been shot for these tracks, which are widely presented on TV channels.
The track "Girlfriend" has gained immense popularity among the people. More recently, the group released a new album - "Purple Powder" and shot a video for the single "It's a pity".

The popularity of the girl group "Propaganda", according to fans and music critics, is based on the charm of the vocalists and the lyrics, in which everyone finds understandable and painfully close. Girls sing about love and friendship, expectation of a miracle and romantic relationships.

Group "Propaganda" in the new composition

At first, the group was positioned as a teenage group, but a couple of years after entering the stage, the soloists “matured up”: teenage pants were replaced by tight trousers and sexy T-shirts. Femininity also manifested itself in creativity, which was reflected in the image of Propaganda.

Compound

The group was born in 2001. The history of the emergence of "Propaganda" is simple and complex at the same time, like the first songs of girls. Three vocalists of the "golden composition" - Victoria Petrenko, Yulia Garanina and Victoria Voronina - went to join the musical group in similar ways. On the way, they encountered misunderstanding, loneliness, ridicule from peers and personal tragedies.

Vika Petrenko and Yulia Garanina grew up in Chkalovsky near Moscow. They became friends as children and were in the same class. At the age of 14, the girls, united by their passion for rap, sang. Teenagers looked accordingly: caps with a visor back, wide trousers, miraculously kept on the hips. For the fact that rapper girlfriends contrasted sharply with the rest of the school students, the girls became outcasts and regulars in the director's office and the teacher's room.

Later, Vika and Yulia will thank classmates, teachers with the director and the yard children for persecution and hostility: Petrenko and Garanina have learned to fight and overcome obstacles. After the 9th grade, the future Propaganda vocalists went to Moscow. Vika entered the circus school, Yulia entered the medical school.

A similar biography belongs to the third member of the “golden composition” - Vika Voronina. The future "propagandist" also went through the hostility of her classmates, who considered Vika a "black sheep". Vika studied brilliantly and with enviable ease. I could write the control in 5 minutes, and write poetry in the remaining time. From the age of 5 she dreamed of becoming a singer - Victoria's mother is a musician by profession.

Having passed the exams externally for the 10th and 11th grades, Voronina got into the troupe of the Moscow Musical Theater. B. A. Pokrovsky, where she served for 7 years. The artist voiced the New Year tree in the Kremlin, along with, and the stars of Russian show business.

Vika's plans to continue her studies at Gnesinka changed at the last moment: the girl entered the variety department of the circus school, where she met Vika Petrenko, and then Yulia Garanina.

Petrenko and Garanina first appeared on stage together: the girls rapped in English and got on the air of local television in Chkalovsky. Then they took part in the performances of the young rap group Danger Illusion, but Vika and Yulia got bored of being on the sidelines.

The idea to combine the duet into a trio belongs to the vocal teacher of the circus school, Yuri Evrelov. He saw the potential in Vika Voronina, who showed her compositions, made an arrangement and helped the girls record the first soundtrack.

The grinding of the future trio "Propaganda" turned out to be painful: the "golden composition" quarreled and even fought. For the first time, the girls performed in the capital's Manhattan club under the sign "Influence". But after the presenter’s reservation, who announced the Infusion group instead of Influence, they came up with the catchy and ambitious name Propaganda, which is difficult to distort.

Group "Propaganda" today

The group earned its first popularity by performing in front of onlookers on the Arbat. There, talented girls who came up with a circus performance for each song were seen by the director of the recording company Alexei Kozin. Struck by the show he saw, he introduced the girls to the future producer Sergei Izotov, the "father" of the star groups "" and "".

In September 2001, music lovers learned about the Propaganda group: the Europa Plus radio broadcasted the composition Chalk, which became the first hit of the vocalists.

The song "Chalk" of the group "Propaganda"

Soon the trio presented the song "Nobody". In the same year, the "golden album" of the group, called "Kids", was released. The author of part of the texts of the album and music for them is Victoria Voronina. On the wave of resounding success, the girls recorded two albums of remixes, giving them the name "Who ?!" and "Who invented this love."

Bright clips soon appeared on the compositions of the hits "Chalk" and "Nobody". Songs for a long time occupied the top lines of the charts, and the video for them got into the rotation of music channels. In 2002, the "golden composition" of young "propagandists" recorded the second album, giving it the name "Not Children".

The song "Nobody" by the group "Propaganda"

In 2003, the group broke up: Vika Petrenko was the first to leave the team, Garanina left her out of solidarity. The producer hastily replaced the departed ones with Olga Moreva and Ekaterina Oleinikova. Fans of "Propaganda" favorably accepted the new songs "Superbaby" and "Quanta Costa".

In 2003, the updated line-up presented the album “So be it,” a red thread through the compositions of which love passes. A piercing song based on Voronina's poems "Five Minutes for Love" and a video in a new, more romantic and feminine role appealed to music lovers.

In the spring, Propaganda was awarded the Stopud Hit award, and 2 months later, at the Golden Gramophone festival-concert, which was broadcast on Channel One, the girls presented the fans with the hit Rain on the Roofs.

The song "Rain on the roofs" of the group "Propaganda"

At the end of 2003, "Propaganda" thundered with a new hit and a video clip "Yay-Ya" ("Apples Ate") recorded on it. The vocalists reincarnated as seductive Evas, increasing the army of fans at times.

By the end of the winter of 2004, the ensemble took the top lines of the charts and hit parades with the "apple" composition, and in the spring a video for the ballad Quanto Costa appeared, with which the vocalists became laureates of the "Song of the Year". The song "Marie fell in love with Juan" was also among the best.

The song "Yay-Ya" of the group "Propaganda"

In 2005, Propaganda rarely appears on screens due to poor funding, and in 2007 Sergey Ivanov became the producer of the group. The fruit of the joint efforts of Ivanov and the girls was the album "You are my boyfriend", coolly received by music critics and listeners. A series of failures and setbacks becomes the reason for the departure from the "Propaganda" of the only one from the "golden cast" Vika Voronina.

The composition of the trio is changing again: Maria Bukatar and Anastasia Shevchenko replaced Irina Yakovleva and the departed Voronina. In 2010, "Propaganda" pleased with the song "You Know", recalling the past glory.

In 2012, the trio turned into a duet: Bukatar and Shevchenko remained. A year later, the girls recorded the album "Girlfriend" (the single of the same name became a hit), in 2014 - a new one, which they called "Purple Powder". The album included the songs "It's a pity", "A banal story" and "Not yours anymore".

In the spring of 2015, "Propaganda" gave fans the song "Magic", which immediately got into rotation. In the autumn of the same year, the reality show “Get in Propaganda” started on the Russian Musicbox music channel, in the final of which new participants were determined - Arina Milan, Veronika Kononenko and Maya Podolskaya.

Music

Starting a creative biography in the style of rap, "Propaganda" gradually changed over the years, transformed and tried other directions, including pop, pop rock and house. The experiments did not always find a response in the hearts of the old fans of the trio, who fell in love with the "golden composition" for rapper's recitatives.

The song "I'm leaving you" by the group "Propaganda"

In a 2004 interview, Nastya Shevchenko and Masha Bukatar said that changing musical directions was a necessary condition for growth and movement forward.

In 2014, Bukatar and Shevchenko went into "free swimming", starting a solo career. For the period of recording the single and the video "I'm leaving you" with the rapper TRES, the girls returned to "Propaganda".

Group "Propaganda" now

In 2017, the vocalists recorded the "Golden Album", which included hits sung over 15 years, as well as new tracks "You are my weightlessness", "Meow" and "Forget", recorded by the new composition of "Propaganda" and liked by music lovers.

In the spring of the same year, the trio presented the track "I'm not like that", for which a video appeared in September.

Once again, the reformatted Propaganda is experiencing a revival. Fans follow the news of their favorite band on the band's website and on the page in "Instagram"(unverified).

At the end of May 2018, the “propagandists” pleased their fans with a concert in Krasnoarmeysk and Omsk.

Many people remember the hits of the Propaganda group that once thundered all over the country - Chalk, Yabloki Yela and Superdetka. At the time of the release of these songs, the band members Vika Voronina, Vika Petrenko and Yulia Garanina were very young girls. Now there is no trace of the former composition of the group, and the girls have gone through numerous trials over the years. Vika Voronina, soloist and author of many songs from Propaganda, shared the details of her life.

“Our first album “Kids” sold out in huge numbers. Fans after concerts tore off pieces of our clothes as a keepsake. We could be an unsinkable band. But, unfortunately, our relationship with Vika and Yulia did not stand the test of fame. I was quite happy to receive $ 100 for a concert, which was comparable to the monthly salary of my parents. And the girls picked up a star fever. They began to show dissatisfaction with the Izotovs, - says Vika about the first producer of the group. - It seemed to them that he was doing everything wrong: he was shooting a clip according to the wrong scenario, dressing us in the wrong clothes, etc. As a result, Sergei Evgenievich fired them. Because of this, the girls and I quarreled and stopped talking. Only a year and a half later, Vika and Yulia called me and admitted that they were wrong. We met, we cried, we hugged. But it was already too late."

After this event, Voronina was the only soloist from the original group. The rest appeared and left, and at such a speed that the girl really could not even get to know them. According to the singer, the group has undergone changes twelve times. In addition, Izotov got another business, and he completely abandoned the production of Propaganda.

“It was a hard blow for me. I remember that from experiences in two weeks I lost 28 kg. I had a loan for a car. There was no rich lover. Only retired parents. And I didn’t know how to live on,” Vika shares. - For support I turned to the concert director of "Propaganda" Sergei Ivanov. According to Ivanov, he negotiated with Izotov for a long time and eventually bought the rights to Propaganda from him. “Now I am your producer,” he told us in the summer of 2007. Signing new contracts with me. I trusted the man so much that, without really delving into it, I signed everything he asked. Moreover, she signed for him twice on blank sheets, which, according to him, were intended for fans. It never occurred to me that Sergei could deceive me.

It turned out that the conditions of contact became virtual slavery for Voronina. Under the pretext of having to pay compensation to the former producer, Ivanov took all the fees from the soloists. Vika was also forbidden to go to other works and sell songs of her own composition, because it was supposedly written that way in the contract. “For trying to communicate with one of my colleagues or their producers, he fined me. In fact, I became his slave. In the summer of 2010, she could not stand it and said to Ivanov: “Seryozha, either you raise my salary, or I leave the group. I can't work for that kind of money anymore." “I'd rather raise the other girls' wages,” he replied. “And you, old, crooked, humpbacked and fat, the team doesn’t really need.” After that, Propaganda worked without me for some time, ”Vika continues in an interview. "Express newspaper".

Then followed a series of mutual lawsuits, and the persecution of Voronina by Ivanov. According to the girl, these problems have not been resolved to this day. However, her producer has his own opinion on this matter.

“After Voronina left, only two participants worked in Propaganda. We tried to take the third, but no one stayed longer than three months. I still have a valid contract with Voronina, concluded until 2017. It stated that in the event of her departure, she must pay a penalty of 300 thousand dollars. But I treated her with understanding and did not demand this money from her. For two years there was no hearing or spirit from her. And then Vika again wanted to return to the stage, and she needed to terminate the contract. If she came to me and humanly asked, it would be a different conversation. But Voronina immediately sued me. At the meetings, she threw tantrums and shamelessly lied, as if I had not paid her salary for years, ”Ivanov explains. - Yes, I could give up on her and terminate the contract with her. It makes me neither cold nor hot. But Vika behaved in such a way that I, for the sake of principle, will not terminate anything.
