If we talk about my impression of Brodsky's painting Summer Garden in autumn, then it is ambiguous. In general, the picture itself pacifies, soothes, but the very theme chosen by the artist evokes sadness and, despite the fact that the picture depicts a sunny day, I understand that there are fewer and fewer such days in autumn, and you need to prepare for the cold, and I really don't like them. So the picture causes me some kind of sadness, sadness and longing for the passing summer.

Artist biography

Born in 1883 in the village of Sofiyivka, which was located near the city of Berdyansk. The father of the future artist was a landowner and merchant. In 1892, Isaac became a graduate of the Berdyansk city school. In 1896, he entered the Odessa Art School, as his talent for painting manifested itself from a young age. In 1902, Brodsky graduated from college and left for St. Petersburg, where he entered the capital's Academy of Arts, where he studied with the famous Ilya Repin for five years.

After the October Revolution, Brodsky created many portraits of the leaders of that time - Lenin and Stalin. In 1932, the painter was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR.

Since 1934, Isaak Izrailevich headed the Russian Academy of Arts. He died in 1939, on August 14, in Leningrad.

In addition to depicting the heads of state, the painter created canvases on which he was able to convey the uniqueness of nature at different times of the year.
