Scary zombie. Scary zombies in Haiti and modern parades of the dead

19.02.2019

Zombies are creatures that have always been common characters in horror films. In films and TV shows, the walking dead could poison the life of a couple of unfortunates in the most terrible way, or they could destroy nations and devastate entire countries. These killers had different goals- some sought to infect as many people as possible, others hunted for human brains, others modestly desired bloody flesh.

The first zombie film was released in 1932 and was called White Zombie. If you go a little crazy and watch all the films with the participation of the living dead that were released after the White Zombie, you will notice that the image of these creatures has changed dramatically. Let's see how the retrozombies differed from their current bloody counterparts.

The first zombie (1932)

The first zombie in the history of cinema is the girl Madeleine, who drank a special potion and miraculously "transformed". After drinking the "potion", the zombie became a weak-willed henchman, obeyed exclusively his "master" and with all this set positive qualities remained alive.

Film for a personal acquaintance: "White Zombie" (1932).

Living Dead (1968)

These scary guys came from the cemetery at night and returned home at dawn. They were incredibly strong, but at the same time terribly slow and did not feel pain. To get rid of such a zombie, you would have to decapitate it.

Films for personal acquaintance: "Night of the Living Dead" (1968), "Night of the Living Dead" (1990).

Virus Zombies (1985)

Stories about a terrible virus that turns people into zombies have become popular thanks to video games. At the same time, mutilated walking corpses began to appear on the screens, which infected half the world with terrible leprosy. As a rule, this kind of apocalypse was the result of a failed experiment in some laboratory.

Films for personal acquaintance: "Reanimator" (1985), "Resident Evil" (2002, 2007), "Fido" (2006).

Raging Zombies (2002)

These zombies are similar to their predecessors, only they look and behave differently. The eyes of the infected become bloodshot, they begin to run fast and are very eager to kill.

Films for personal acquaintance: "28 days later" (2002).

Hungry Zombies (2010)

We owe the appearance of these "handsome" to the series " the walking Dead". They are slow, orientated by smell and sound, decay, and are driven only by the desire to eat flesh. They will survive even if cut into pieces. But there are two other wonderful ways to get rid of such a dead man: the first is to crush his head, the second is to starve him to death.

Series for personal acquaintance: "The Walking Dead".

A game for personal acquaintance: Dying Light (2015).

Let's have some fun, friends. Not much, but deadly. Let's remember youth, so to speak. Once upon a time, when our site was still called Horror Blog and hosted at a different address, we made a kind of rating of the very best movie dead, the coolest (in one sense or another) flesh eaters in the entire history of the existence of this zombie movie subgenre. As recently as today, poring through the archives on the hard drive, the editor-in-chief of the memory discovered that old article. The creations of Romero, Fulci and Co. - each of these films is interesting in its own way, in each one you can find your own zest if you wish (brainssss, brainssss ...). Naturally, the rating of the "most-most" is based solely on our opinion, which you can dispute, supplement and clarify. We put forward several "nominations", why don't you suggest your candidates in the comments? So let's go.

The scariest zombies

Girls from and. Dead children - what could be worse? Except that alive dead children. The scene from "Night" when the daughter rises from the dead kills her mother is unforgettable! And when, at the very beginning of Dawn of the Dead, a cute creature with a torn mouth appears in the frame, we are ready to howl in horror.

The funniest zombie

Old Bob from classic George Romero. He listens to music and manages well with a pistol, and the “salute” is simply incomparable! Among other things, the face of this comrade, not disfigured by the seal of special intelligence, looks like Shrek's face).

The most romantic zombie

A direct descendant of Bob, a young zombie nicknamed Bud from Freestyle, filmed in 2008 by Steve Miner. Despite the weakness of this film, it is worth falling in love with Bud's romance alone! The living dead in love not only protects the object of his posthumous feelings from other carnivores, but looks with great interest at the ass of his trembling passion covered in military trousers.

The most loving zombies

From the film, the essence and genre of which are directly expressed in the title. Instead of eating, these guys are more like you ...

The most "star" zombies

They made a rustle in the film "Planet of Fear" (the first part of the joint picture with Tarantino "). It's no joke to say - Bruce Willis, Quentin Tarantino and Co.! However, I have long suspected that these guys are quietly eating our brains with you.

The slowest zombies

Italian zombies from the movie. These guys are the main "brakes" in the entire zombie genre! However, they have an excuse - not only are they dead for centuries, they are also blind. But, as is customary with zombies, they are relentless.

The fastest zombies

Fast zombies - infected - first appeared in a Danny Boyle film, and then enjoyed success with the public in such films as Zack Snyder's Dawn of the Dead, 28 Weeks Later. But in Steve Miner's "Day of the Dead" the already nimble cannibals turned into very super-fast monsters - largely due to the fact that for some reason the director decided to show almost all the episodes with their participation in accelerated shooting. In addition, these guys are excellent at jumping, running along the ceiling, and one particularly advanced corpse took over from Neo from The Matrix the ability to deftly dodge bullets.

The most "unnatural" zombies

Again, Day of the Dead. It's not even that the local zombies don't look too natural - after all, the clay-smeared extras in Romero's paintings, to be honest, don't look like zombies at all, but like ... well, clay-smeared extras. But when a zombie virus turns a living person into a dead person like a week ago within a second, this is already the height of anti-science and unnaturalness!

The most "natural" zombies

Perhaps the most realistic zombies look in the films "28 Days Later" and. Even though the zombies there are not the living dead, but the townsfolk infected with the rabies virus.

The most "social" zombies

Nobody compares to the visitors of the Romerovsky supermarket. By God, what brains? These people are here to shop!

The coolest zombie

Green with time and long stay in a barrel of chemicals, the skeleton is out of competition. Eyes bulging, jaws snapping, and the gleeful cry of "Braaainssss!" - I would gladly trade him for one of my work colleagues.

The most tragic zombie

Movie hero "I am a zombie". He understands what is happening to him, he suffers from this, but nothing can be done about the thirst for blood. We would have wept over his fate if the film itself had been better.

The most "home" zombie

Comedy protagonist's buddy. The guy will pass for a pet, you can drink beer with him and yell in front of the TV, supporting your favorite football club.

The smartest zombie

An unnamed refueler from "Lands of the Dead" George Romero. The dude led the army of the dead, learned to wield a gun, hose and matches. He also truly worries about his fellows ... And by this he is already much better and smarter than anyone politician modernity.

Sexiest Zombie

beauty from italian movie "About love, about death" Bavy. Killed by own dead husband right on his grave while having sex with a cemetery watchman. But even after she has died, she is still able to seduce - and not only the watchman, but many of us, right?

And finally, the most dancing zombies

In the Indian (!!!) clip with songs and dances, zombies demonstrate something from the repertoire of the Todes show-ballet.
