The fact is that a few years ago I tried to get on the Russian show "Voice", but not a single judge turned to me. Then, having received an invitation to a blind audition, he told everyone he could about it. He went satisfied and boasted to his friends: “I am participating in the“ Voice ”!” And at the very first audition he failed miserably. Therefore, this time he decided to remain silent. Even when he received four “yes” from the judges, he did not tell anyone except his parents. wait until they show me on the air.
At home, Daniel Rustamov is supported by his mother, father, brother and two sisters.
- In our family, only I do music, Daniel says. — Mom has an absolute ear for music, but all her life she sang only at home in the kitchen. I helped cook and sang along with her. I went to Ukraine via Moscow. At the border, the border guards stopped me: “Who are you? Where and why are you going? I explained that I was going to the X Factor. They didn't believe it. Everyone was let through, and I was taken for interrogation. For some reason, when they see people from Tajikistan, many people think that they are going to work. So they took me for a guest worker. The border guards had another version: I was going to Ukraine for the war. When they did miss it, I already hoped that all the adventures were over. But the Ukrainian border guards also began to doubt. “Well, how else can I prove that I'm going to a vocal show? - I asked them during the next interrogation. “Let’s sing, you yourself will understand everything!” But I didn't have to sing. Luckily, they let me through.
On the way to Ukraine, he seems to have managed to tune in to the performance. But what I was not ready for was cameras and interviews. He was so excited that he even made a mistake in naming the date of his birth. I told reporters that I was twenty years old, although in fact I was twenty-one. I understood this already when the performance was shown on the air. Therefore, now everyone who writes about me calls me twenty years old.

According to the artist, he previously performed at school events, then with a friend Sherzod Latifzade created the One Way group.
“We played with pleasure in fashionable metropolitan clubs and restaurants, the audience seemed to like it too,” says the singer. “After an unsuccessful attempt at listening to the Russian Voice project, I was broken, I thought that I would not be able to raise the status of my country in Russia.”
The musician is sure that his family helped him to find himself again.
"For a while I just shot videos and posted them on social networks. In less than a few months, a girl contacted me, offering to take part in the Ukrainian X-factor project. I was assigned a date, and I went, saw, won,” Rustamov rejoices.
In addition to vocals, he is fond of dancing, and was previously seriously involved in sports.
"I have been practicing taekwondo (ITF) since childhood. I trained under the guidance of the famous athlete Daler Tyuryaev. After that, in 2011 I went to Moldova to study. I continued my training there, my mentor was Alexey Tentyuk. I got a black belt, but later I had to leave the sport I focused on my musical career and studies - now I'm studying at the Moscow State Institute of Culture at the faculty of pop-jazz singing in the 2nd year, "Daniel said.
