So, since we're having a week of occultism and conspiracy theory on Gossip, I'll do my bit too. I became interested in this topic about 5 years ago just after watching a film about the Bilderberg Club, and therefore I want to acquaint the Reader with my findings.
What is the "Bilderberg Club"?
According to Wikipedia, this is an unofficial annual event that, since 1954, has attracted about 120-150 representatives from Europe, North America and Asia, most of whom are influential politicians, bankers and heads of leading Western media and corporations. This club got its name from the name of the Bilderberg Hotel in Amsterdam, where the first meeting took place. The Encyclopedia Britannica reports the following: The conference provides an informal, relaxed setting in which those who influence national politics and international affairs can get to know each other better and discuss common issues without commitment. After each conference, an informal meeting report is prepared and distributed exclusively to past and current participants. In the report, speakers are identified only by their country. The International Organizing Committee usually selects a different delegate each year».
So what's wrong with that, my Reader asks?
In principle, everything would be like nothing, but from the very beginning of this event, you can notice some oddities. First, the date, time and place of the meeting are never disclosed. Many skeptics will immediately rush to claim that all this is done for security purposes, but after all, much larger events are made public in the media long before the event itself, and the safety of high-ranking officials can be provided by the relevant authorities and bodyguards. Secondly, outsiders and the press are never allowed to meetings, even the employees of the hotel where the event takes place get a day off - trusted people serve the elite, and the building itself is guarded by a huge number of military men. Thirdly, no records of decisions made, discussions held and issues discussed are ever published anywhere (no one knows how true Britannica's statement that records are distributed only among former and current members of the club).

Due to its secrecy, this event attracted a lot of attention, including conspiracy theorists. Especially often in conspiracy sources, David Rockefeller's speech is mentioned, which he allegedly delivered at a meeting of the Trilateral Commission (this is also a very interesting event that deserves special attention - author's note) in Essen, Germany, on June 8, 1991: "We are grateful to The Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine, and other major publications whose directors have attended our meetings and honored their promise of confidentiality for nearly forty years.It would be impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if it were made public those years. But now the world has become more complex and it is ready to go to the world government. What is the point there?
The bottom line, dear Reader, is that a handful of people who have money and power come together to create the fate of the world. This may seem like complete madness, but many people have devoted a lot of time to studying this issue, and the facts they cited can, if not completely convince, then at least make you think.
Among the 80 people present at the founding meeting of the Bilderberg Club, the main role was played by D. Rockefeller, head of the Rockefeller Foundation G. Heinz, president of the Carnegie Endowment D. Johnson; the steering committee created at the same time included representatives of the Rothschilds, the Schroeder Bank, the New York Times, the London Royal Institute of International Affairs and the US CIA. The real leaders of the Bilderberg Group were Baron Edmund Rothschild and Laurence Rockefeller, who chose the members of the club (by the way, if you look separately at the biographies of the Rothschilds and the Rockefellers, and especially the part about building their personal capital, then you will find many unpleasant discoveries).
One of the main goals outlined immediately after the formation of the group was the creation of a European superstate with its own central bank and single currency, under the "natural" control of the United States. The ultimate goal of the Bilderbergers was formulated as the creation of a transnational government. (a European superstate with a single currency...ahem...doesn't it remind the dear Reader of anything?).
The Serbs blamed Bilderberg, not without some reason, for starting the 1999 Balkan War and the downfall of Slobodan Milosevic: after all, the US needed to gain control of the very important Balkan pipeline routes.
It is believed that the Bilderberg meeting in 2002 - though not without controversy - cemented the invasion and conquest of Iraq (the events of 9/11 also lead to this society).
The club is also accused of spreading swine, chicken flu and Ebola in order to create a global centralized healthcare system.
Chipping citizens has also been on the agenda of the club for many years. Back in 1995, Dr. Caul Sanderson, a leading researcher in the field of early biomedical chips, who realized the true goals of the project in which he was involved, stated: “To introduce positive identification for the welfare education system (i.e. electronic identification under the skin), 500 million dollars were allocated. I spoke with some CIA officials who said that in the government, for example, Henry Kissinger, Lazenberg and others had a discussion about this. The problem was put directly: we will not be able to control people if we do not mark all of them, i.e. not identifiable."
By the way, it is to this group that today's events in Ukraine and an attempt to dampen the ardor of the Russian Federation led by Putin to resist the world government with the help of sanctions and media pressure are attributed.
This list can be continued for a very long time. Certain major world events are always associated with this club. The club itself is not an executive body (of course, why get your hands dirty?), it is rather a think tank, the ideas of which are then embodied by the leaders of countries with the help of banks and the media.

Many of you laughed at the theme of Disney cartoons and indignantly scribbled "I've been watching these cartoons since childhood, I didn't grow up to be a pervert." Remember once and for all: you are the children of Soviet traditions and correct human values, you did not have the Internet and the TV did not scream about "widespread economic crisis, famine, war and violence" every time you turned it on. These cartoons were invented for the children of the West, who have been invested with completely different values in their heads since childhood (no, they have not heard about "freedom, equality and fraternity", they have heard about "if you have a lot of money, then you are everything, if not, then you are nobody"). And I can well imagine that slow-motion footage may well affect the psyche of a child in a certain situation, because they do not choose what is deposited in their subconscious (but, in fact, some kind of sexual depravity and permissiveness is postponed). The same can be said about the depraved clips that are played on TV everywhere during the daytime: most fans are teenagers 13-16 years old who grew up on Disney cartoons, so they continue to be brainwashed and corrupted. I can assume that the symbols themselves are present in the clips in order for the performer to prove his devotion to the order, but the message in such "works of art" is always the same: sex, violence, permissiveness. Add here all the glamor of gloss and all the Internet slag - and you get homo sapiens with no signs of intelligence, but with huge ambitions - this is the best cocktail in order to make them your slaves in the future.
What should I do with it now?
Whatever you want, then do it. To believe or not to believe is your personal right. No need to tear your hair out and run around the room in a panic. You can just think of yourself and your children. Informed means armed. 
The secret club, the shadow leaders, the world government - it's all about him, about the Bilderberg club, whose private meeting begins on June 11 in the Austrian Alps.
This is a community of really powerful people of this world, the most influential and wealthy people on the planet. For more than 60 years of its history, the press has never received information about how the meetings of the club actually took place, who specifically said what and what. The next conference of the Bilderberg Club is expected to be held from June 11 to 14 at the chic Austrian Interalpen hotel (all places are booked for these dates). About 140 people from more than 22 countries were invited to come to Telfs-Buchen. There are incredibly beautiful landscapes around, a golf course, and in the Tyrolean hotel everything is as it should be: elegant interiors, luxurious SPA, gourmet cuisine and so much more that is easier to list, what is not there for a worthy vacation of the world elite. The hotel will be completely isolated for the duration of the conference, additional forces of the Austrian police and private security services are drawn to it - protests are scheduled for the weekend.
Now it is much easier for anti-globalists to reach the addressees of their hatred: the place and time of the meetings of the Bilderberg Club have recently been in the public domain, as well as the names of the invitees.
Among them are heads of state and ministers, heads of transnational corporations and the media, financiers, bankers, and public figures. A Russian scientist, Doctor of Economics Sergei Guriev, who has been living in France in forced emigration since 2013, was also invited to the meeting.
The practice of inviting political scientists, scientists and businessmen from countries where discussions are expected around events has long been established. It is known that in different years Anatoly Chubais and Grigory Yavlinsky attended the meetings from Russia. And, probably, the most informed and involved in the topic of "world backstage" Russian parliamentarian - Vladimir Zhirinovsky - claims that Garry Kasparov and former Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov were also invited to the Bilderberg Club.
Myths around world government
The creation of the Bilderberg Club was hardly intended to form some kind of world government. A group of influential people lobbying for the interests of NATO and the United States needed to gather in order to discuss in closed session issues important to Western civilization (from the beginning of the 50s and later, this was, first of all, the fight against communism and then the "cold war") . The ideology had to be broadcast to all the new invitees, their composition changed from year to year, but the "backbone" of the group remained constant.
The club's first congress took place in the Dutch hotel "Bilderberg" (hence the name of the group), at the invitation of the royal court of the Netherlands, 70 people from 12 countries gathered.
Now more than 130 people participate in the Bilderberg meetings annually, including permanent members of the club. It is known that among them there are representatives of the Rockefeller dynasty, the Rothschilds, former and current prime ministers of some European countries, monarchs from Great Britain, Spain, the Netherlands, former presidents of the World Bank and mega-corporations. NATO generals, US presidents and secretaries of state often come.
So, there were persistent rumors that during the US presidential race in 2008, it was at the Bilberderg meeting that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton agreed that they would work together.
The club is also credited with influencing the resignations of Richard Nixon (1974) and Margaret Thatcher (1990), planning intervention in the Yugoslav conflict and the American invasion of Iraq (which, under pressure from the "Bilberderg elders", was allegedly postponed for a year).

In addition to the Bilderberg Club, participation in the planning of the new world order is attributed to such organizations as the Committee of 300, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission, the Club of Rome, the German Marshall Fund. Sometimes called the Yale Club "Skull and Bones" and even the Bohemian Club. Moreover, the members of these communities are often the same.
These clubs are like magnificent facades, real and mythical, behind which someone's desires, fantasies and, of course, vanity, a thirst for money and power are hidden. All this, as a result, in some mysterious way, adds up to a bizarre political deck or whole houses of cards.
Much of what has been written and filmed about Bilderberg and other similar organizations should not be taken for granted. After all, no one knows what really happened there, no one can explain for sure the true causes of certain political processes, and no one is able to predict the future of the world order.
After all, any game of strong players is unpredictable - a grinning joker can suddenly confuse all the cards.
The Bilderberg group is an annual conference that brings together influential politicians, businessmen and heads of some media by personal invitation.

Bilderberg 2016
In 2016, the club meets in Dresden from 9 to 12 June. 130 people from 20 countries. The focus is on the aerospace industry, the likely exit of the UK from the European Union, Russian politics, US elections, events in the Middle East, China's place in the world, cybersecurity, falling oil prices.
David Petraeus has been invited (neocons cheer). Possible French presidential candidate Alain Juppe. Henry Kissinger is not the most pleasant person for Russia.
Immediately 3 representatives from Google (perhaps the main media of the world, am I wrong?). The reason is the discussion of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.

In order not to be accused of supporting conspiracy theories, I probably would not have published anything at all about this if, during my search, famous names of people had not caught my eye, some of which are still extremely popular in liberal circles today.

The club's website itself is extremely concise. They say that the guest lists are open to journalists. But there are no links in the headings. In general, guests come to meetings exclusively as private individuals. Understood the hint.

Every year since 1954, about a hundred of the most influential people from the United States and Western Europe have gathered under heavy guard and in an atmosphere of the strictest secrecy at a convention of the so-called Bilderberg Group.
The meetings last three days, and no information about the issues discussed is leaked to the outside world.
After the collapse of the Soviet Union, journalists became interested in this elite organization. Some even saw in it the embryo of a world government and attributed to the Bilderberg Club all the major political, military, economic and cultural decisions of the second half of the 20th century. In any case, this is how Fidel Castro interpreted the meaning of this mysterious structure, although this hypothesis has remained neither refuted nor proven.
To understand what the Bilderberg Club is and what it is not, I studied a huge number of documents, interviewed a lot of witnesses, looked through all the archives from 1954 to 1966 inclusive, got acquainted with some later papers, talked personally with one of the old-timers of this organization, taking advantage of the fact that I have an old friendship with him. And without a doubt, no journalist, and certainly no author who wrote books on this topic, had access to such a volume of factual material.
Here is what I found and understood.
FIRST MEETING
The first congress of the Bilderberg Club brought together 70 people from 12 countries.
The three-day meeting lasted from May 29 to May 31, 1954 near the city of Arnhem (Netherlands). The invitees were accommodated in two nearby hotels, and the meetings themselves took place at the Bilderberg Hotel, which was immortalized in the name of the group.
The invitations, printed on the letterhead of the Dutch Royal Palace Soestdijk, looked more than mysterious: “I would be very grateful to you for attending an informal international congress that will be held in the Netherlands at the end of the month of May. This congress will discuss issues of exceptional importance for the entire Western civilization, and its purpose is to strengthen mutual disposition and mutual understanding in the mode of free exchange of views. At the bottom was the signature of Bernhard zur Lippe-Biesterfeld, Prince Consort of Holland. The invitation was accompanied by several pages with information about accommodation and transfer. The only thing that could be understood from these papers was that the invitees were coming from the USA and 11 countries of Western Europe, and that the schedule of events consisted of 6 sessions of 3 hours each.
Given Prince Bernard's Nazi past (he served in the SS cavalry until his marriage to Princess Juliana in 1937) and the historical context of McCarthyism, it is not hard to guess that the issues "important to Western civilization" concerned the fight against communism.
Upon arrival, the invitees found themselves under the tutelage of two hosts of the event:
American businessman John S. Coleman and Belgian Foreign Minister Paul van Zeeland. The first was a supporter of the free market, the second was a patriot of the European Defense Community (CED). On the podium with them sat Joseph Retinger, eminence grise of the British.
All this would suggest that the event was sponsored by the British and Dutch monarchies in order to support the Defense Community and the economic model of free capitalism in their fight against communist and Gaullist anti-Americanism.
However, appearances can be deceiving. And it was not at all about a campaign in support of the Defense Community, but about the mobilization of elites for the Cold War.
HRH Prince Bernard was chosen as the host because his status as Prince Consort gave the event a state dimension despite its unofficial nature. At the same time, the real customer - an interstate organization that intended to manipulate the governments of its member countries - remained in the shadows.
John Coleman was not yet Chairman of the US Chamber of Commerce, but had already created the Citizen's Committee for a National Trade Policy (CCNTP). In his opinion, a free market without any restrictions - up to the waiver of customs duties - will allow the countries allies of the United States to increase their wealth and finance the European Defense Community. In other words, it will provide an opportunity to re-arm Germany and integrate its potential military power into the NATO system.
Documents show that in the Citizens Committee on National Trade Policy, only the word itself comes from "civilian". In fact, this organization was the fruit of a private initiative of Charles D. Jackson (Charles D. Jackson), White House adviser on psychological warfare. It was led by William J. Donovan, former commander of the Office of Strategic Services (a joint intelligence service created by the United States during World War II).
It was he who was entrusted with the task of creating the American offshoot of NATO's new secret service, the Gladio network.
And Paul Van Zeeland was not only the ideologist of the European Defense Community, but also an experienced politician. He led the European League for Economic Cooperation (LICE), whose goal was to create customs and monetary unity. The organization in question itself was created by the previously mentioned Joseph Retinger.
Incidentally, Retinger, head of the secretariat of the Bilderberg Congress, served during the war in the Special Operations Executive (SOE) under General Colin Gubbins. Then this Polish adventurer worked as an adviser to the government of Sikorsky, who was in Great Britain. Living in London, he inspired all the governments in exile stationed there to exploits, thanks to which he compiled for himself the most luxurious notebook of liberated Europe.
His friend Sir Gubbins officially left Special Operations (which ended the organization) to run a small carpet and textile business that served as a front for him.
Together with his colleague Donovan, he worked on the creation of the English Gladio network, participated in all the preparatory meetings of the Bilderberg Congress and was present there as a guest - his seat was next to Charles D. Jackson.
Thus, unbeknownst to the audience, the inviting party was the secret services of the NATO countries, and Bernard, Colman and Van Zeeland served as a screen for the event.
NATO DECIDES EVERYTHING
And whatever impressionable journalists fantasize about, Bilderberg was not an attempt to create a secret world government. It was a club of influential people lobbying for the interests of the North Atlantic Alliance, which is much more serious and dangerous, because NATO itself claims to be a secret world government that guarantees the immutability of the international statu quo and the unrelenting influence of the United States.
Nuance: the security of all subsequent meetings will be provided not by the police of the host country, but by the soldiers of the alliance.
Among the ten official speakers were very famous people:
two former prime ministers, Frenchman Guy Mollet and Italian Alcide de Gasperi, three Marshall Plan leaders, Cold War hawk Paul H. Nitze, and influential financier David Rockefeller.
According to the documents, only 20 participants were "in the know." They knew who was in charge of the game and, accordingly, could think over their actions in advance. All the smallest details were carefully worked out, no improvisation was expected. The remaining 50 people, on the contrary, had no idea about anything. They were chosen according to the degree of their possible influence on governments and public opinion in their countries of residence. That is, the seminar was organized in order to convince the invitees of the correctness of certain attitudes, and to encourage them to subsequently voluntarily propagate the points of view that are desirable for dissemination.
At those first meetings, it was not at all about global international problems. Mostly they analyzed the alleged ideological strategies that the Soviet Union would set in motion, and the means of protecting the "free world" from them.
From the very beginning, the theme of the danger of communism was pedaled. In conversations, "convinced communists" appeared as people who intended to force their countries to serve the Soviet Union in order to impose the idea of collectivism on the world. They needed to be stopped. The struggle was difficult, because "convinced communists" are scattered all over Europe and dissolved in a mass of naive voters who are unaware of the gloomy prospect that awaits them, but simply want a better standard of living.
Then the rhetoric became tougher: the “free world” must fight the “global communist conspiracy” not only in words, but also with the help of concrete measures such as American financial injections into Europe and decolonization.
Finally, the speakers got to the key issue that the Soviet Union, in their opinion, uses for its own purposes: due to cultural and historical differences, the political leaders of the "free world" use different methods and arguments in the US and Europe, and sometimes these arguments contradict each other. The clearest example is the purges organized by Senator McCarthy in the US: they are necessary to save democracy, but in Europe they are perceived as a manifestation of totalitarianism.
The final chord sounded distinctly - no diplomatic bargaining and no compromises with the "Reds" are possible. We must at all costs prevent the spread of their influence in Western Europe, but we will have to be cunning. Since it is impossible to imprison or shoot everyone, the communists will have to be neutralized implicitly, so that even their voters will not suspect anything.
That is, the ideological position of NATO and Gladio was voiced. At the same time, not a word was said about the fact that the election results can be rigged, and objectionable ones can be killed, but all participants agreed that in order to save the “free world”, the word “freedom” should be put in quotation marks.
Despite the fact that the notorious European Defense Community ordered to live long three months after the first Bilderberg (the initiative failed miserably in the French parliament due to pressure from communist deputies and "nationalist extremists", that is, the Gaullists), the congress as a whole was recognized as successful. Because, contrary to what it might seem, his goal was not at all to create a Community or any other political organization, but to spread the necessary ideology within the ruling class, which, through its representatives, was to be broadcast to the whole society. Western Europeans became less and less aware of the fact that they were being deprived of their freedoms, while they were more and more informed about what freedoms Eastern Europeans were deprived of.
Etienne Davignon, Belgian businessman, former Vice President of the European Commission (1981-1985) and current Vice President of Suez-Tractebel;
Henry Kissinger, former US National Security Advisor, US Secretary of State, one of the central figures of the American military-industrial complex, now president of the consulting company Kissinger Associates;
David Rockefeller, a descendant of the famous dynasty of financiers, is one of the oldest members of the club. He is also the honorary chairman of the Trilateral Commission, a Bilderberg-like structure that includes the countries of Asia.
STAND ON THE WING
It became clear that the conference would be annual and that a permanent secretariat was needed. Over time, Prince Bernard had to go into the shadows, after he got caught in influence trading (Lockheed-Martin corruption scandal). He was replaced as helmsman by former British Prime Minister Sir Alec Douglas-Home (Alec Douglas Home 1977-80), then former Chancellor and President of Germany Walter Scheel (Walter Scheel 1981-85), former head of the Bank of England Eric Roll (Eric Roll 1986-89 ), former NATO Secretary General Peter Carrington (Peter Carrington 1990-98), and, finally, former Vice President of the European Commission Etienne Davignon (Etienne Davignon since 1999).
For a long time, each president of the Bilderberg Congress had two general secretaries: one dealt with Europe and Canada (vassal countries), the other with the United States (suzerain country). But since 1999, the Secretary General has been left alone.
As the years passed, the debate became more and more colorful, the list of invitees changed constantly, but the core that was involved in the preparation of the conference remained unchanged. And its members patiently hammered into the newcomers pro-Atlantic rhetoric, in keeping with the spirit of the times.
Now about 120 people are participating in the seminars, a third of which is the very backbone. Key figures are selected by the Alliance according to their level of personal connections and ability to influence, regardless of their position. Therefore, the elect remain in the ranks, even if they change jobs.
In recent years, the number of topics covered during the annual seminars has begun to increase in proportion to the growth in the number of international issues. All this does not explain anything to us, because the discussions do not have a specific meaning. They are carried out in order to carry out an implicit broadcast of the necessary installations. Unfortunately, we do not have the latest documents, so we can only guess what directives the North Atlantic Alliance is trying to spread through its agents of influence.
OBAMA AND CLINTON AGREE IN THE CLUB?
But the reputation of the Bilderberg Group today is such that they are credited with almost world domination, which, of course, is nonsense. Such conjectures only obscure the essence - genuine puppeteers are sitting in NATO.
For example, there were persistent rumors that during the last presidential race, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton disappeared for the day on June 6, 2008, to discuss the finale of their rivalry away from witnesses. They actually went to the annual Bilderberg workshop in Chantilly, Virginia, USA. And the next day, Mrs. Clinton announced that she was withdrawing from the race, from which some analysts concluded that the decision was made by the Bilderberg meeting. But that doesn't make any sense, since the outcome of the race was clear three days earlier in the number of votes that Senator Obama won in the Democratic Party committee vote.
According to our sources, it was different: Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton signed a financial and political agreement that day. Senator Obama added to his rival's coffers and offered her a post in his administration (Ms. Clinton turned down the vice presidency and chose the post of secretary of state) in exchange for her support in the fight against the Republican candidate. The two leaders were then introduced by James A. Johnson to the members of the Bilderberg workshop, where they were assured that they would work together. By the way, Barack Obama was originally a NATO candidate - Mr. Obama and his family have previously collaborated with the CIA and the Pentagon, moreover, the first contributions to his election campaign were made by the English crown through businessman Nadmi Auchi (Nadhmi Auchi). Thus, by introducing the black senator to the Bilderbergers, the Alliance provided the future US president with the international connections he needed.
Many misinterpreted the report that the Bilderberg Group organized an impromptu dinner outside of the official schedule during a seminar on November 14, 2009 at the Val Duchesse castle, owned by the King of Belgium. Former Belgian Prime Minister Herman von Rompuy delivered a speech at the dinner and was elected President of the European Union five days later. Some writers have concluded that the club "crowns kings".
But the President of the European Union could not be elected outside of NATO, because - we remind you - the European Union is a product of the Marshall Plan. And such an appointment cannot but be sanctioned by the member states of the alliance. Such decisions are discussed for a long time and are certainly not made as a result of a friendly dinner.
According to our records, Bilderberg Group President Etienne Davignon called an emergency dinner to introduce Herman Van Rompuy to those who passed on the baton of influence to him. This was necessary because the person who was the first to assume the new position of President of the European Council was completely unknown outside his country.
During the dinner, Mr. Van Rompuy outlined his program for creating a European tax, which was supposed to directly finance the structures of the European Union, without referring to its members.
Experienced Bilderbergers had only to repeat later that they knew Herman Van Rompuy and confirmed that he had the qualities necessary to lead the Union.
Thus, the aura of the Bilderberg group is not at all as romantic as some authors imagine it to be. And military protection of an unheard-of scope is designed not so much to protect the participants of the congress as to impress newcomers, who should not be imbued with a sense of their own power, but absorb the information that only the West, more precisely NATO, is truly powerful. And on the basis of this information, make a decision to continue to support the alliance and be supported by it, or take the path of confrontation and be defeated.
When the Bilderberg Group promoted anti-communist rhetoric, it was not against the USSR, just as today the Congress is not against Russia. The club follows the strategy of the Alliance, which does not intrigue against Moscow, but protects and expands Washington's zone of influence. Even when NATO was created, it was assumed that the Soviet Union would join it. Which would mean Moscow's consent to the division of the world, formalized during the conferences in Potsdam and Yalta.
Not so long ago, the Alliance received Dmitry Medvedev at a summit in Lisbon, and he was again invited to join NATO. It was not about submission - it meant only the recognition of a new world order, in which all of central and eastern Europe becomes a satellite of the United States. Thus, the accession of Russia would mean the conclusion of a peace treaty: Moscow once and for all recognizes defeat in the Cold War and agrees to the existing partition peace.
In this case, the Bilderberg Group would also invite Russians to its annual conferences (according to KP, in different years Anatoly Chubais and Grigory Yavlinsky have already attended meetings of the Bilderberg Club. - Ed.). And the task of the Russians would not be to Americanize their compatriots - they would simply have to convince their fellow citizens once and for all to give up their dreams of the greatness of their country.

The Bilderberg Club is considered one of the most powerful unofficial clubs on the planet, which is often called the world government in the press. Every year this famous conference is attended by dozens of influential politicians, businessmen, scientists, representatives of aristocratic families, as well as heads of major banks, corporations and leading media. Meetings are usually held in May-June with unprecedented security measures under the supervision of intelligence agencies. No one knows the exact dates of the next meeting, except for the organizers.
Secret Bilderberg
Despite the fact that the meeting of the mighty of this world is unofficial and shrouded in a veil of secrecy (it is not announced, the disclosure of any information is prohibited, and entry is possible only by individual invitations), after each meeting of the club, the media are full of details. However, it is often difficult to make out where in these publications is truth and where is fiction.
The first meeting took place in May 1954 in the Dutch city of Oosterbeek, at the Bilderberg Hotel. Hence the name of the club, founded by American foundations - Rockefeller, Carnegie and Ford. All three formally seek to establish cooperation between the countries of the world. It is this goal, in one form or another, that is spelled out in the statutes of these organizations. However, no one, except the members of the club, knows for sure what tasks the Bilderbergers actually set for themselves. Political scientist Robert Ernove, in his book Charitable and Cultural Imperialism, calls American foundations the soft power of elites. The power of foundations, in his opinion, lies in the fact that they stimulate the development of certain types of activities in which they are interested.
On the one hand, meetings of the Bilderberg Club, which have been informal since its inception, make it possible to establish not only business, but also friendly relations between the elites of America and Europe. On the other hand, this annual event, of course, is not just a friendly gathering. It discusses issues of world politics, finance, war and peace. Behind closed doors, decisions are made that in one way or another affect the course of world history.
Under the control of the CIA
As long as the Soviet Union existed, the key tasks on which the attention of the Bilderberg Group was focused were European integration, the creation of a unified European security system and opposition to the communist ideology alien to the capitalist countries. According to unofficial information, which was not refuted by any of the members of the club, the EU and the single European currency were created with the participation of the Bilderbergers. At the origins of this idea, as well as the club itself, was a British politician with Polish roots, Joseph Retinger.
This man, who in the late 1940s served as General Secretary of the European Movement, associated with many influential European politicians, such as British Prime Minister Winston Churchill. About the organization headed by Retinger, as well as some of its kind, it is necessary to say separately.
In addition to the European Movement, at that time the European Youth, the American Committee for a United Europe, and a number of others also operated on the territory of European countries. According to unofficial information, the main sponsor of all these organizations that campaigned for European integration was the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). The American-supported movements and clubs aimed to maintain control over the European elite. For this, according to some sources, the Alliance was created, later called the Bilderberg Group. The backbone of this organization was made up of American statesmen, bankers and industrialists, as well as pro-American minded Western European politicians and businessmen.
One of the ideologists of the creation of the Bilderberg Club, as mentioned above, was Joseph Retinger. In 1948 he participated in the Hague Congress, in 1952 he left his post in the European Movement and took up a new project - the creation of a debating club for the elites, the purpose of which would be to promote Western values. Retinger invited Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands, wife of Queen Juliana, to head this unofficial organization. Bernard perfectly suited this role - he served on the boards of directors of the largest Western European corporations and had a lot of useful contacts, including with heads of state and prominent politicians. He later became a shareholder in the Rothschild oil company Royal Dutch Shell. The founders of the Bilderberg Club were not embarrassed that in the 1930s, Bernard was a member of the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP) and its paramilitary wing, Hitler's bodyguard - the SS. However, during World War II, the prince participated in the fight against Nazi Germany, being at that time a citizen of the Netherlands.
The first founding meeting of the Bilderberg Club was attended by 80 people, Edmund Rothschild and Lawrence Rockefeller played the first violin, choosing the members of the club. The group's steering committee included representatives from the Rothschilds, the Schroeder Bank, The New York Times, London's Royal Institute of International Affairs, and the CIA.
The main goals identified during the creation of the group were the formation of a single European state controlled by the United States, and the fight against the USSR as the main geopolitical adversary. One way or another, less than 40 years after the start of the club, the Soviet Union collapsed, and in the early 2000s, a single European currency was introduced for all EU countries.
Amazing Coincidences
Members of the Bilderberg Club gather once a year for four days, usually in May-June in luxurious hotels or castles under heavy police and security guards. The meetings themselves are never announced, their agenda is not advertised in advance. About 130 people participate in each such meeting. The composition of participants is updated annually by about half. But there are also permanent members of the club, the backbone of which is made up of American and British bankers and politicians, such as former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger or former Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan.
Such well-known figures as Bill Clinton, Angela Merkel, Gordon Brown, Ben Bernanke, George Soros, Donald Rumsfeld, Rupert Murdoch and many others took part in the meetings of the Bilderberg Group at different times. For a long time, the oldest and most influential member of the club was the grandson of the founder of Standard Oil, David Rockefeller, who died in 2016 at the age of 102.
Last year, the meeting was held in Dresden from June 9 to 12, attended by politicians and businessmen from 20 countries. Recently, the Bilderbergers, apparently aware of the requirements of the new information age, began to publish the agenda of the meetings in the most lengthy formulations and even started their own website. But the details of the meetings are still not advertised, and the invited top managers of the most influential media (The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Bloomberg and others) keep their mouths shut. Among the guests were IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde, Henry Kissinger, German Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen, Royal Dutch Shell CEO Ben van Beurden, BP head Robert Dudley and other influential and wealthy people.
During last year's meeting, issues of migration in Europe, the rise of China, the situation in the Middle East, US debt and energy prices were discussed. In particular, this could be about the expediency of geopolitical pressure on the PRC, the risks of European integration due to the migration crisis, relations with Russia against the backdrop of European business dissatisfaction with mutual sanctions. Moreover, the point about Russia, it seems, will remain on the agenda of the Bilderberg Group for a long time to come. One of the topics, according to unofficial data, was the presidential campaign in the United States, during which, as you know, Donald Trump won. Some foreign publications suggested that the Bilderbergers were betting on Hillary Clinton against Trump. At the same time, it was after a meeting with a businessman who later won the presidency that one of its most influential members, Kissinger, came to the meeting of the club in Dresden.
By the way, the theme of the presidential elections in the United States did not figure at all in the program of the meeting. In turn, the British newspaper Independent, after the meeting of the club, hinted that in this case one should not trust the official agenda too much. The publication recalled some of the “coincidences” associated with the Bilderberg Club that influenced the careers of famous politicians. Thus, Margaret Thatcher, invited to the meeting of the club in 1975 and liked by Rockefeller and Kissinger, became Prime Minister of Great Britain two years later. And the former governor of Arkansas, Bill Clinton, who "checked in" at the club in 1991, was soon elected president of the United States. The Independent article also mentions the dizzying political career of Tony Blair, who in the mid-1990s became the youngest leader of the Labor Party in its history, and subsequently the record holder for the time at the head of this party.
Conspiracy theorists argue that the ultimate goal of the Bilderberg Group is to create a unified world government and eliminate Russia as a factor preventing Anglo-Saxon hegemony. However, there are no facts reliably confirming this information (however, as well as refuting it).
