Research Department

The research department (RDI), as an independent structural subdivision in the university, performing the tasks of organizing scientific activities, begins its history in June 2000 (at that time it was the organizational, scientific, editorial and publishing department).

In September 2012, the department was divided into two independent structural units: research department, editorial and publishing department.

From this moment on, the department carries out activities related only to the organization of scientific research and scientific information.

Since the creation of the department, its leaders have been: colonel of the internal service candidate of technical sciences, associate professor Orlov Sergey Arkadievich (2000-2007), colonel of the internal service candidate of chemical sciences, corresponding member of the VANKB, associate professor Alekseev Sergey Gennadievich, (2007–2012, lieutenant colonel of the internal service Candidate of Technical Sciences, full member of the VANKB Akulov Artem Yuryevich (2012-2014).

Editorial and publishing department

The publishing activity of the Ural Institute of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia is carried out by the editorial and publishing department (RIO), organized in September 2012.

The main activity of the RIO is to provide the educational process with educational, methodological and scientific literature, as well as assistance in the implementation of scientific research of the teaching staff, cadets, students and listeners.

To achieve these goals, RIO performs a full cycle of editorial and publishing preparation of manuscripts, including consultations with authors, editing texts and illustrative material, creating layouts and replicating printed materials.

The area of ​​operational polygraphy with the necessary set of equipment ensures the release of scientific, educational and blank products. This site allows you to produce brochures, full-color booklets, greeting cards.

The publishing activity of RIO is carried out under the control and with the assistance of the editorial and publishing council of the institute, which also develops recommendations for organizing, developing and improving the publishing activity of the university.

The editorial and publishing department is equipped with modern printing equipment. The technical resources of the department are represented by computer and copying equipment, paper cutting machines, thermal binding and wire stitching machines, a laminator, a large-format plotter, which fully meet the requirements of the institute's printing complex and allow the production of printed products of proper printing quality.

The educational center

The training center (p. Koltsovo) of the Ural Institute of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia was established by order of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia No. 205 of April 21, 2008 and has been operating as a structural unit of the institute since September 01, 2008 on the basis of the order of the head of the institute No. 459 of August 29, 2008.

The main functions of the training center are the logistics of the educational process in the territories of the training center and the training and sports center in B. Sedelnikovo (Sysertsky district, Bolshoe Sedelnikovo, May 1st, 17-g), life support and creation social and living conditions for the living personnel of the junior courses of the faculties of fire and technosphere safety.

In the building of the educational building are located:

Story

On June 9, 1928, on the basis of the Decree of the Council of People's Commissars of the RSFSR, the Sverdlovsk Regional Executive Committee (protocol No. 115, clause 27) decided to organize the Ural Regional Fire and Technical Courses in the city of Sverdlovsk to train personnel for the middle commanding staff of the fire department.

In April 1929, the Ural Regional Fire and Technical Courses began their work.

In August 1932, the courses were reorganized into the Ural Regional Fire-Technical School for the middle commanding staff of the city fire department.

In 1935, the regional school was reorganized into an inter-regional school for the middle commanding staff of the GPO NKVD.

In October 1939, in accordance with the order of the NKVD of the USSR No. 001203 of October 8, 1939, the school was transformed into the All-Union School for the Middle Command of the City Fire Department of the NKVD of the USSR.

At the end of November 1941, the 3rd fire-technical school of the VPO of the NKVD of the USSR was evacuated from Kharkov to Sverdlovsk. Both schools merged into one educational institution - the Sverdlovsk 3rd fire-technical school of the VPONKVD of the USSR (order of the NKVD of the USSR No. 001732 of November 21, 1941).

In accordance with the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR No. 1308-535 of June 21, 1946 and the order of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs No. 00813 of September 9, 1946, the 3rd PTSh VPO of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs was renamed the Sverdlovsk Fire-Technical School of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs.

On April 17, 1948, the Sverdlovsk Fire-Technical School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR was awarded the Red Banner and the Diploma of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.

The day of the annual holiday of the educational institution was set on April 17 (order of the Ministry of Defense of the RSFSR No. 416 of July 8, 1966).

On January 22, 1948, for the first time, in accordance with the orders of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs No. 292 and 298 of 1947 and the order of the school No. 12 of January 15, 1948, the military oath was taken at the school.

In 1991, the Sverdlovsk fire-technical school of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR was renamed the Yekaterinburg fire-technical school by order of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs No. 179 of October 14, 1991.

On December 7, 1999, the Yekaterinburg fire-technical school of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia was transformed into the Yekaterinburg branch of the Academy of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia (order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia No. 1002 of December 7, 1999).

On January 1, 2002, in connection with the transfer of the State Fire Service from the Ministry of Internal Affairs to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the educational institution changed its name in accordance with the affiliation with the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Relief - the Yekaterinburg branch of the Academy of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

In 2008, the 1st graduation of full-time students of the faculty of paid educational services was completed under the program of higher professional education.

In the 2010 academic year, the institute recruited for the specialty "Technospheric Safety", at the end of the training period, graduates are awarded the qualification "bachelor".

Since 2010, on the basis of the 978th ​​USC of the Ural Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, employees and cadets of the institute have successfully begun to master the course of theoretical and practical classes under the program of initial professional training of rescuers.

The combined team of the Institute has repeatedly won prizes at republican, all-Union and international (CIS) competitions in fire-applied sports.

March 20, 2011 is the official birthday of the Institute's national ice hockey team, called "Fire Shield".

On May 3, 2011, the Ural Institute of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia was accredited as an organization carrying out activities to inspect objects of protection, carry out calculations to assess fire risk, prepare conclusions on the fulfillment (non-fulfillment) of the conditions for compliance of the object of protection with fire safety requirements and the development of measures to ensure the fulfillment of conditions, under which the object of protection will meet the requirements of fire safety.

On May 17, 2011 the theater studio of the institute was formed. In the period from June 21 to 30, premiere performances based on the plays by A.P. Chekhov, dedicated to the presentation of the Banner to the institute and the graduation of young fire protection specialists.

On June 23 and 24, 2011, solemn ceremonies of nailing the banner to the pole and presenting the Banner to the Ural Institute of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia took place.

On August 3, 2012, by order of the EMERCOM of Russia No. 475 "On the symbols of individual organizations of the EMERCOM of Russia", the Coat of Arms of the Ural Institute of the State Fire Service of the EMERCOM of Russia was approved.

On July 15, 2013, at the ceremonial formation of the personnel of the Institute, certificates of compliance of the quality management system with the requirements of the international and Russian standards ISO 9001:2008 and GOST ISO 9001-2011 were awarded.

The learning process is carried out on a common basis along with other professions (for example, the Medical and Ecological College in Volgograd or the Mechanical and Technological College in Mozdok). All colleges have an excellent material and technical base, training halls and playgrounds. All conditions have been created for obtaining the necessary knowledge and skills in the chosen specialty.

It should be noted that there is no hostel in the Moscow Fire and Rescue College.

Education in the college is carried out on a budgetary and paid basis. After entering the college of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, after the 9th grade, training in the chosen specialty will take place for 3 years and 10 months.

Of particular note is the School of Young Rescuers in St. Petersburg. This is a special project that provides for additional special. education for schoolchildren from grades 5 to 11. Classes are held outside school hours, during the holidays camp fees are provided. The school does a lot of work in educating teenagers. The Ural Institute of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia is one of the oldest educational institutions in the field of protection of the population and territories, counting its history from 1929.

The Ural State Fire Service Institute is the only educational institution of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia located in the Asian part of the country; on its basis, a regional-branch educational center is being organized for advanced training and retraining of the leadership of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, managers and specialists in the field of fire safety of the Volga-Ural, Siberian and Far Eastern regional centers.

On the territory of the institute there are buildings of the training fire department, dormitory buildings, a sports arena, an open training tower, a medical unit with an insulator, a heat and smoke chamber and other life support facilities of the institute.

At a distance of 30 km there is a suburban training and sports center, and in the village of Koltsovo there is the second training ground of the institute, where all conditions for training and living of cadets are created.

In order to conduct scientific research, the institute takes part in solving the tasks defined by the research and development plan of the ministry and maintains scientific and technical relations with the Center for Strategic Research of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

Many employees of the institute are highly qualified specialists who have government awards for courage and heroism shown in the performance of their duty. The staff of the institute is proud of its graduates, who received high ranks for the performance of their official duty.

Retired Major General Telyatnikov Leonid Petrovich was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union for the elimination of the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Lieutenant Colonel Zamaraev Valery Valentinovich was awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation (posthumously) for the courage and heroism shown during the release of the hostages in Beslan.

Every year, the institute hosts competitions of amateur art, wall printing of service and combat training units, games of KVN teams.

The brass band and the combined choir of the institute carry out work on the musical support of various kinds of events both on the territory of the educational institution and beyond.

For the moral and aesthetic education of cadets, choreographic groups work - "Angels of Fire", "Virtual Reality", "Fairy Tale Ballet" and a ballroom dance studio.

In the future, it is planned to create a circle of artistic expression from among the employees and cadets of the educational institution.

Creative teams created and functioning on the basis of the institute contribute to the moral and aesthetic education of cadets and the younger generation, promoting the prestige of the educational institution and the features of service in the Russian Emergencies Ministry. All creative teams of amateur performances have a sufficient artistic level to carry out work on the formation of high moral and aesthetic tastes in introducing personnel to the world of art.

The library fund of the Institute is 141227 copies of printed publications. There are 44 copies of documents per student of the Institute. The main fund of the library is educational, educational and methodical and normative literature on the specialty - Fire safety.

The pride of the institute is not only the education of fire professionals, but also sports traditions. From its walls came Olympic champions - honored masters of sports in biathlon Yu. Kashkarov, A. The combined team of the Institute has repeatedly won prizes at the Republican, All-Union and International (CIS) competitions in fire and rescue sports.
